We chose to share our guest house primarily because the idea of sharing our stunning view appeals to us very much. We are so fortunate to have a view so special that we wanted to build a guest house for our friends and you!

We designed our 600 square foot modern guest house with the intent of creating a very private honeymoon suite.

It sits on concrete sonotubes about 18 feet up off the ground. The goal was to create a treehouse affect that evokes a visceral response as you hover above the trees looking out at the stunning views.

It has expansive views of Hood River, Mt Hood, and our favorite view, looking directly down the gorge.

Our guest house is accessed by a 30 foot long steel bridge.

Our guest house is very private, but is located near our house, so there are some rules that it is very important that are followed.
Guests may only have one vehicle. Guests must park their vehicle on the left side of main house (east side). Maximum of two people at guest house unless owner makes an exception.

If you desire incredible views, modern architecture, and a very quiet location, I think you will really enjoy the experience.

You are welcome to ask about staying for less than our 3 day minimum. Often there is less than three days between guests already booked, so we can send you a special booking request if you email asking for these shorter stays between existing bookings. We are also more receptive to shorter visits mid week, and last minute requests.

This little house started life as a woodworking shop. When we outgrew it, we made it into a guest house. It may be imperfect, but it's perfectly adorable. We have a little peek of Mt. Hood from the yard. The territorial views are lovely. At night, you can enjoy the beauty of a Milky Way sky far from city light pollution.

SETTING
Situated on five acres near the main house, in a quiet rural neighborhood, this bright, cheery space is about 10 minutes, (5.5 miles) from White Salmon's charming pubs, restaurants, shops, and grocery. Hood River is about 20 minutes (10 miles) away - just a short hop across the Hood River toll bridge ($3.50)*. It's a restful country retreat or a practical home-base for your Gorge adventures or business travel. It's a quiet spot great for relaxing and as a home-base for Gorge adventures, but if you want to be in the thick of things or you want more immediate access to the river and main highway, it's probably not the best choice. Many people feel the location is perfect; please consider whether it is perfect for you before booking.

PARKING
Parking is at the end of the driveway and is marked. We keep 2 spaces available for guests and can make more available if needed. We have had guests with fishing boats, motorcycle trailers, and RVs.

LAYOUT
The house consists of two large rooms with a connecting open doorway. One side includes the living and dining areas, and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and built-in electric oven with stove. The second side contains the sleeping area, bathroom, closet/laundry. The sleeping area has a queen bed, small dresser, bedside stand, and curtain, which allows for bedroom privacy while maintaining bathroom access for all. There is no door on the bedroom, which may not be ideal for those with infants, small children, or snoring issues. The floors are laminate, ceramic, and vinyl composite tile.

BEDS
Although the space is ideal for two people sharing the queen-size bed, a queen-sized Murphy bed is installed in the dining area of the large room, and two single cots or cot mattresses are available upon request. If you want to use the Murphy bed, we will adjust the position of the dining table and chairs so everything will fit. We also have a Pack 'n Play play yard with a full-size removable bassinet. The bassinet weight limit is 15 pounds; the play yard has a weight limit of 30 pounds. Please let us know what you need BEFORE arriving so we can set it up for you.. WORKSPACE
An office chair, a desk with a lamp, and a color laser printer are in the large room. The printer is set up on the wireless network but a 10-foot USB printer cable is included in case of connection difficulties.

NATURE
You may hear coyotes at night or doves cooing in the trees. Nature is all around us. If the sight of a daddy-long-legs fills you with fright, best not to stay here.

Eye On The Gorge is perched on the edge of the Columbia Gorge with a private hot tub. A most perfect escape for adventures in the gorge.

This modern and cozy, 1600 square foot home has central A/C, hot tub, BBQ, wifi and comfortable patio furniture. Furnishings and decor were recently updated.

The home is single level with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a new King Bed and private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed as well as a twin bed. There is a full bathroom in the hall.

The living room has a smart TV.

The beds are all made with luxury linens, crisp warm duvets, and new mattresses. Spa soap, shampoo, and a few other small amenities are included to help you 'get by' if you forget your own supply. A private hot tub and large deck with BBQ and comfortable patio furniture, with umbrella, allow you to relax and enjoy the view and four seasons.

This home has central A/C for hot summer days and cozy furnace for cool winter days.

Beautiful newly built house, with spacious floor plan. Property is within walking distance to downtown White Salmon. It is a short drive to Hood River. House is located in private residential neighborhood. It is very safe and quiet, with occasional deer sightings. Beautiful territorial views to the East, with beautiful moon rises. The property is close to Columbia and White Salmon Rivers, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Adams. Plenty of biking, hiking, kayaking and trails to explore. There are numerous wineries close by. Also free Netflix and Amazon Prime on Smart TV. Free basic breakfast supplies.

- "Loved this little house and the hosts, Tony & Ana! So clean and comfortable, in a great, safe location close to everything the area has to offer. The nearly brand-new house is very well equipped with furnishings, bed and bath linens, etc. Nice kitchen with new appliances and well outfitted for cooking. New washer and dryer. This family home sits just north of the Columbia River, four miles north of the town of White Salmon, and eight miles from downtown Hood River. You'll have your pick of fantastic wineries, microbreweries, and local eats and shops nearby to keep you entertained. You'll also be a short drive from a wealth of hiking trails in the Columbia River Gorge, the Hood River Fruit Loop, world-class windsurfing on the Columbia River, and all the wonders of Mt. Hood National Forest.

- "This property is quite the oasis atop the mountains of White Salmon/Hood River. Tucked away up a steep hill, you feel as if you have the mountain to yourself. The backyard is stunning with the best clear view of the stars I’ve ever had in my life, and viewing them from either the awesome hot tub or comfortable hammock is dreamy to say the least. The house itself is super comfortable with separate AC units in each room. The kitchen comes fully stocked and is a great space to cook meals. You just cannot beat the stunning view of Mount Hood from the kitchen window. The only unusual thing about our stay is that a local dog came by the house on our first morning and lingered at our front/back doors for 8+ hours. We are dog people, so it didn’t bother us but I imagine it would have frightened those less comfortable with big dogs. We had to contact property management twice to take the dog away, as we were weary about letting our own smaller dog outside with such a bigger (and unfamiliar) dog in the vicinity. All said, we can’t wait to book here again to reexperience it ourselves and introduce it to our friends/family. Just a short drive to Hood River, it’s a fantastic way to experience the glorious Columbia River Gorge."

Our home is a custom-designed / custom-built, 2 bedroom and 2-1/2 bath house, designed to take advantage of the amazing views atop Burdoin Mtn. which sits at 2000 feet elevation just above the town of White Salmon. We offer excellent access to all types of recreation including windsurfing, kiting, biking, and hiking. Hike or bike from the doorstep with public access to one thousand+ acres of top-rated trails connecting within minutes to three of the Gorge's prime attractions including the renowned Coyote Wall/Syncline, Major Creek, and Catherine Creek, as well as Hospital Hill and the Evergreen Highway. Coyote Wall is considered one of the top ten must-see attractions in the state of Washington. River access is within a 20 minute drive. We oriented our house to take advantage of the views and built the living room as a partial octagon so that it focuses on 12,450 foot Mt. Adams and the surrounding territory. Wildlife abounds, with privacy, solitude, peace and quiet. It's a great retreat for recreation/sports seekers, writers, readers, a small family, a couple wishing a romantic or quiet getaway, or a solo traveller. Private 15 acres of solitude to enjoy. Within a short hiking or biking distance is a most spectacular Gorge view, overlooking a panoramic expanse of more than 70 miles of Columbia River Gorge from 2000 feet of gently sloping bluff---the Columbia River to the West, to the South overlooking the Hood River Valley and town of Hood River plus a stunning image of Mt. Hood, and to the East you gaze up the mighty Columbia towards the high deserts of Eastern Oregon and Washington. We have a lovely deck along the east side of the house overlooking our field--a perfect spot for morning tea, coffee, or even breakfast! Every room in our house offers a unique view of its own, even the bathrooms. Our open-design kitchen has all modern stainless steel amenities, plenty of custom counter tops with a peninsula for seating. Upstairs in the Master area we have a queen bed. There is a sitting area adjacent to this bedroom and a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower, of course with views. The downstairs/daylight basement bedroom also has direct access to an outdoor patio, with a bunk bed double mattress on the lower bunk, twin on the upper, and its own full bath/shower. Our house was designed to provide a cozy and warm atmosphere, with plenty of privacy and modern amenities and to incorporate the beautiful nature and surroundings of our hilltop paradise. Our home is 'green' and healthy, with natural floor coverings, high-efficiency updated appliances. We have nationally ranked top-tasting private community well water. You can be assured that you will return home after your stay feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, well and healthy, and perhaps happily exhausted from recreation!

Bright, airy and huge daylight basement apartment (1050 square feet!) - this space is part of our larger family home. Central air with radiant floor heat. Private patio with BBQ, sitting area and access to large yard. TV, streaming, blah blah go outside, thats why you’re here ;)

Space has 2 beds - one is a queen sized bed in the bedroom and the other is a full sofa pullout (super comfy) in the living room.

As a guest, you will have private access to the space and have access to everything except for a storage closet and the utility room on this floor. Guests also have access to private deck (we may be passing through side yard to pick from the garden. Please help yourself to the herbs!).

We live upstairs and should be available for the most part during your visit. We like our privacy and will respect yours as well, but we love chatting if you see us around! If you would like input on local information or need directions or just a good old fashioned chat, don't hesitate to let us know.

We love that you'll be vacationing in part of our home. Please realize that we probably won't be on vacation the same time as you are (maybe next time though!) - so we need to have quiet time start at 10pm, and please no super loud happenings before 7am.

Also, smoking is bad for you. You really, just shouldn't. Your mom did not make me say this - but I bet she would agree. If you feel you must - we apologize but no smoking on the property.

We do sometimes allow well behaved dogs, but please inquire before booking, and tell us a bit more about your furry friends. Any damages caused by pets will be the full responsibility of the pet owner. We also have two dogs and a cat… They are curious, too curious…dont let them inside please :) although feel free to say hi to Duck the cat, if you can!

We live in a super quiet neighborhood within a mile of downtown White Salmon that allows you to refresh and recharge yourself after a busy day on the water or on the trails. We face south-west and therefore have brighter days than our poor neighbors in Hood River. (We know they are jealous.)

Just feet from the property is our local Loop Trail that is great for a bike ride and for running. We have blackberry patches in the neighborhood that are super handy (and yummy) in the summer time.

Just down the road (walking distance if you like a good stretch of the legs) we have Henni's, Pixan, Everybody's Brewing, FEAST deli, Pizza Leona, and Gander and Goose. There are several places to get coffee, give yourself ample time to wait in line in the morning, it’s popular for a reason! Lots of places to try local wines and beer, our favorite tasting room and the closest is CLYZM in the new Hotel Iconica. We have a market - Harvest Market (decent size and good variety that you'd find in all of your larger city chain markets, but wine and liquor is cheaper to buy across the river if you find yourself on that side). We provide coffee beans and tea selections for your stay.

This is a newly built mixed use modern apartment building located in the heart of downtown White Salmon.

There are two flights of stairs to access the Ph there is no elevator.

There is a full kitchen with cookware.

We also provide a smart TV that you can use with your Netflix, Amazon, or other subscriptions you may have (we don’t provide cable tv).

Parking is on the street and free 24 hours a day (the parking under the building is for our long-term tenants only).

There are two public city parking lots about half a block from our building. One is located about 200ft due east and the other is located about 350 feet west of our building.

But most of our guests prefer to use the free street parking right next to the building.

There is a mini-split unit that provides heat and AC. The mini-split is located in the living room. The bedrooms do not have AC, but do have fans.

There is a shared laundry room in the building. The access code will be sent in your welcome email.

We are doing a big interior design change this winter. The current photos do not show the interior design changes.

Guests love the remote, woodsy space despite being only 3 miles from White Salmon. Our .5 mile rural gravel road leads to the dog-friendly studio apartment over the garage with a clear-day view of Mt. Hood from the comfortable king-size bed. You’ll have kitchen, bathroom, and patio with access to trails. We live in the main house next door with our big, friendly 6 year old dog Wilson. ALL are welcome!

We are very dog friendly. Please let us know if your dog does not get along well with others or if you have any special needs or concerns. We have garden and five forested acres that connect to miles of trails.
Things to note: our water is from our well and can smell sulfurous at times, but is perfectly safe, and we have a filtered drinking water spigot in the kitchen.
We are currently building two tiny homes on the property but will not work on them much while people are staying. We sometimes have guests in our yurt and we often work outside. In the winter, the driveway may require all wheel drive, and if a storm causes cancellation, we do not collect any fee.

Pets: Dogs and cats are welcomed. We have ourselves a gentle 140 lbs giant Great Swiss Mountain dog that can be protective of the house but will not hurt anyone. Wealso have an older tabby cat that sometimes hangs outside.

Privacy: The studio is atop of the garage and endless stream pool; spaces that owners regularly use, but only during the daytime and early evening.

Security and Safety: We run guest screening and background checks through SafelyStay, Inc. Safely will send our guests a request for information to run their screenings and checks. We can provide terms of the screening by request.

The camper is within an hour drive of wildflowers, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, world class rafting, kite boarding, skiing, & fruit picking (blueberries, cherries, peaches, apples and more).

Get cozy in this cute camper, with a rockin' AC, only 5 minutes from downtown White Salmon. You'll live tiny home style, in a neighborhood surrounded by trees.

You'll be on a small hill. One one side of the camper is trees, houses and a gravel driveway, and the other side is the street.

The camper is equipped with a new comfy natural Ecoterra queen size mattress (hybrid latex), full kitchen and bath, living room, and patio.

Please note that the bathroom and shower are sized for a camper (small), and the toilet is on a septic tank. As it is a camper, there is very limited storage space.

You'll have your own driveway parking, a outdoor patio, and the camper to yourself.

Guidelines for long-term rentals: every 5-6 days we will come in to flush out the toilet tank, water outdoor plants, leaf blow the outside sitting area, and maybe shake out the rugs. Also, at any time during your stay you are more than welcome to swap out sheets or towel for a fresh set.

Please notify us if you'll have an infant with you (maximum occupancy is 2 adults and one infant). There is a 2-night minimum stay on Fridays and Saturdays (weekends) from June - September.

The Columbia River Gorge is a designated National Scenic Area, one step down from a National Park in terms of protection and oversight. A: All guests must be registered whether overnight or day visitors and must not exceed 12 total. No revolving door guest policy.

A: We love to accomodate early check-in and late check out requests whenever possible! We charge a small $30/fee per hour for the first 3 hours, then we recommend considering booking the additional night so you don't have to rush.

Q: Can I drop my luggage off before check in?
A: Yes! If the home is ready, we can utilize the early check in policy

Q: Can I book on behalf of a friend, family member, or co-worker?
A: No. Third party bookings are prohibited per Airbnb, VRBO and vacation rental insurance policies. Please have the person who is staying book themselves.

The space
This little gem is one block south of the main street in White Salmon, Jewitt Blvd. This is a fully equipped newly renovated guest unit. The walls have been soundproofed after 2/19/2020 and completely sealed off from any noise that may be coming from next door.

Inside you have a very comfortable setting with vintage and modern decor. It is so cozy! It is bigger than the photos look. I’ve arranged it to make it feel comfortable for 2 people. There is a brand new new queen memory foam mattress (that
replaced the previous full bed size), a brand new bathroom with a walk-in shower, a brand new full kitchen, a large walk-in closet to hang and store all of your belongings, wifi, television, a cozy sofa with a large ottoman to rest your feet, a dining table you can eat up to 4 people and/or use as a workspace, beautiful views, privacy and amenities to make you feel right at home.

It is are walking distance to delicious restaurants (please read The Guidebook on the app with recommendations for where to eat), a famous brewpub "Everybody's", the yummy White Salmon Bakery, a beautiful yoga and meditation studio, White Salmon library, and a Harvest Market where you can buy all your goodies if you want to stay in and make a home-cooked meal in our full kitchen. All walking distance. This quaint little town is famous for the beautiful scenery, wind and kite surfing, hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, seasonal mushroom hunting, and if you like to explore we have so many maps, books, and suggestions for you to dive into.

There is a main house on the same property as the guest unit. It has its own separate entrance and pathway. You do share a wall and there is a chance you might hear your neighbors. I have soundproofed the wall however, there is still a chance you will hear from them. If you do, I have my phone on me at all times. Please do not hesitate for a second to let me know, any time of the day or night, and I will reach out to them to close the bedroom door and keep the noise down. It is very rare that I have an issue but I want you to consider the possibility before renting.

There is a 4-minute drive to the bridge connecting Hood River and White Salmon. This is a total treat because Hood River is a fun little town as well. It has great shopping, winter snow in Mt. Hood, yummy restaurants and coffee shops, a movie theatre, and no sales tax!! However, there is a toll bridge that is $2 each way. They only accept cash so be sure to remember to have cash with you if you plan on traveling to and from Hood River. If you cross at The Dalles there is no toll. If you are here for an extended stay, it is worth it to get "BreezeBy" for $1 each way.

We welcome dogs, please let me know prior to your stay. You must include that you have a pet on your booking. The pet fee covers pet traction such as shedding, extra dirt tracking, and pet smell. It does not cover pet accidents such as peeing on carpets, soft waste that is left on rugs, extreme pet smell from an accident, and furniture that might get ruined. We will charge an extra fee for the additional time and product needed to repair anything of this nature. I will send the request to your Air B&B account and you shall receive a notice closer to your stay. Please keep a lookout in your email and Air B&B inbox.

Other things to note
Please park on the street directly in front of the house and follow the walkway to the blue door. If there are no spots available in front of the house, you may park in front of the empty lot directly west, next door to the house.

We sit on 1500' of Big Buck Creek, just a short walk down from the cabin.

If you have your own kayak, you can launch north of us, enjoy a ride down the White Salmon, and pull out at Northwestern Park. NW Park is less than a 1/3 mile to the cabin. We can assist in transportation to or from launch site.

3. This is one step up from tent camping. This is not a luxury experience, but a chance to connect with nature. Please ask yourself if you are comfortable in nature (noises, insects, dirt, etc). I write this in the nicest spirit! I just really want you to enjoy yourself, so this is a legitimate question to ask yourself.

A few things:
*Well behaved pets are welcome!
*Even though we are in the Pacific Northwest, it is very dry here in the summer, and campfires are banned by law during the months of April-Nov.
*This is a working farm. This means that occasionally we have equipment running. We may have workshops during the day. We may have children from the local schools on field trips. Please understand that you don't have the entire property to yourself unless you want to book the entire property with that specification.
*Although our location is wild and remote, we are only a 20 minute drive to downtown White Salmon, where you can find restaurants, grocery stores, and supplies.
*We recommend bringing flashlights and headlamps. There are two a-frames & a cottage located on our property, but they are secluded from one another so you will feel as if you have the place to yourself.
*The road here is bumpy, steep and not suitable for vehicles with low suspension or very tall sprinter vans. 4wd recommended in the wet seasons.
*There is no residence here, so if you are a solo traveler and uncomfortable with camping alone, then this is not a good fit. Not trying to sound scary, just want to provide as much info as possible for happy travelers :)

If you want green valleys, tons of wildflowers and less traffic visit us in the spring (April - June). If you are a sun worshiper, love heat and are looking to play in a watering hole or explore high up on the mountains, come during summer months (July - Sept). October is a beautiful month often filled completely with sunshine and lovely fall foliage, yet with cooler days & less people.

Bring your mountain bikes or your hiking shoes. Or book a rafting trip with any of our amazing outfitters on the White Salmon River. There are so many trails and waterfalls to explore! We also have wonderful wineries, breweries and cideries throughout the gorge. The wild flower hikes on Mt Adams in the summer time are unbeatable. Or you may just choose to stay on the property and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. It's a true paradise.

Other things to note
The biggest things to note are the following:
1. Fire danger is always a concern in our neck of the woods, so please be responsible. Do not park vehicles in the grass, and absolutely no campfires.
2. Smoke can happen in the Pacific NW, especially from the months of July-Sept. If you cancel for smoke, please be aware that I will only refund 50% of the nightly fee (which is an exception from my regular cancellation policy).
3. This is in a VERY natural setting, so there will definitely be squirrels, birds and insects about, likely turkeys, and occasionally a shy black bear will ramble across the field. Please be cautious and respectful to all of nature's creatures.
4. Again, this is rustic. There are no smooth walking paths or lighting. Please be capable of walking on uneven terrain.

Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood. It is about 1 mile to downtown White Salmon and 6 miles to downtown Hood River. The room is on the second floor (facing south) of our house.

The room has a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress, a closet, a computer desk, an accent chair, Free WiFi and a 55 inched TV. The room also includes small appliances such as mini fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and K cup coffee maker.

Kitchen: Plenty of dishes, pots, and pans, serving utensils, microwave, electric stove, blender, big fridge, freezer and coffee maker/french press. There is a dining area that seats up to 6 as well as a smaller breakfast table to seat 4 in the kitchen.


There is a guest unit next door. They have a separate private entrance and no space is shared with them. It is unlikely that you will hear or cross paths with them. The house is soundproofed between units, however, we do ask that you do not yell or blast loud music. If you have a loud group or children running around in the evening in the living room we ask that you please close the bedroom and bathroom door downstairs for added noise protection. Laundry Room: *PLEASE NOTE* The laundry room is a shared space between myself, you, and my very trusted housekeeper who cleans the small unit next door. There are two entrances to the laundry room. There is an outdoor entrance into the laundry room which she will be entering through. There is another door with a keypad in the laundry room that enters directly into the kitchen. You are more than welcome to use the laundry room whenever you like but please always close the door behind you so you are not alarmed if my housekeeper comes into the laundry room. She will not enter into your space as your door will be closed.

For your peace of mind, there is a keyless entry pad to all doors, the front door, the side door, and the door inside the laundry room opening into the kitchen. The doors will always remain locked on the keyless entry pads.

That said, we completely respect your privacy and understand if you'd prefer not to interact. Unless you reach out, interaction with us will be minimal, as you have a private entrance and there are no shared spaces. Your entrance is on the other side of the house, ensuring a peaceful and private stay.

• There are 2 stairs just off the sidewalk, and another 6 stairs leading up to the deck where the Airbnb entrance is.
• We will be mindful of noise from 11pm-7am Fr-Sa and 10pm-6am Su-Th, and request that guests do the same.

• Your dog(s): Please do not leave your dog(s) unattended unless they are in a crate or kennel and won't bark nonstop while you're away. Please also keep dogs off the bed. Additionally, be mindful that our yard is not fenced, so be sure to supervise your four-legged friends while outside.
• Our dog: We have a 35 lb dog named Olive that will likely bark a little upon your arrival, and you may hear her barking here and there throughout the day, but it is minimal. She is harmless and you are welcome to say hi if you see her.
• The Hood River bridge toll is now $3.50 each way unless you have a BreezeBy toll scanner.
• We are working on converting the garage behind our house to an ADU. This will be a source of noise, mostly on the weekends. We will primarily be doing the work ourselves, so there will not be a construction crew on-site.

Guests have access to the portion of the driveway going up to the Airsteam. The driveway beyond the Airsteam is private.

WELDON WAGON TRAIL ACCESS
The trailhead can be accessed from the airstream by foot or car, by going back down the driveway, and turning left/west onto Sanborn. Altogether, the distance between the Airsteam and trailhead is about 1/3 mile. The trail itself meanders through woodland and steep open meadow, affording spectacular views of Mt. Hood and Husum Valley.

Other things to note
No dogs permitted, as much as we love them. We live adjacent to a wildlife sanctuary that is home to endangered animals, where dogs are not permitted due to the wide sensory net they cast that wildlife avoid. We offer the wildlife the same sanctuary on our property.

Property is off-grid, solar powered, and fully functional.

TOILET - The Airstream does not have a flushing toilet - it instead utilizes a modern, water-friendly composting toilet system which has a few simple instructions for use located next to the toilet. Essentially, please be seated for all use, and utilize the hatch & mixing knob for No.2's.

BATHING - The outdoor shower is in a standard sized clawfoot tub, in a private open-air space on the deck. The smaller, interior claw foot bathtub has no stand-up shower.

KITCHENETTE - The three-burner manual propane stove is lit by hand with either a match or lighter, provided. The refrigerator is a 3.1 cubic foot two-door mini-fridge with freezer, ice trays provided. There is no oven or ‘wave. The kitchen is fully supplied, including a tea kettle + tea bags, coffee carafe + ground Colombian, cooking utensils, ceramic non-stick pots & pans, 12" cast iron pan, and glass-wear. There is a propane grill on the deck.

CELL PHONE RECEPTION - Reception at the airstream is weak. Most guests have one to two bars of cell phone reception, depending on their provider. Better reception up the driveway on Sanborn Rd. There is no WIFI. Enjoy EMF-free forest bathing!

REALITIES TO EXPECT:
- Being an Airstream, this is a step up from glamping, and more 'RV' than 'modern home.'
- The bed is Full sized, so a bit smaller than a Queen - so not big.
- Being in the Gorge, Fall/Spring sees variable temps & weather (and is often gorgeous). There is duct heating in the airstream, and it runs a bit loud for light sleepers (Pendleton wool blankets supplied per request, in addition to the comforter provided).
- Summer can be hot, dry and smokey. No A/C, but the forest canopy keeps the space in mostly shade throughout the day. Breezes are common, and also help cool things down.
- Insects are alive and well here (a point of pride & wonder for us). There can be mosquitos, though a breeze might keep them moving.
- While there is no poison oak near the airstream, there are some areas of it on the Weldon Wagon trail. Ticks can be present in grassy areas, especially when the weather is moist.

Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s about 1 mile to downtown White Salmon & 6 miles to downtown Hood River. The room is on the second floor of our house and faces south east.
The room has a queen size bed with a Tempur-Pedic mattress, computer desk, a 42” television & free WiFi. The room also includes a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, K cup coffee maker & electric kettle.
The bathroom has double sinks, and a great view of Mt. Hood.

Please leave your shoes downstairs. We provide disposable slippers or socks for you.

We have two small harmless and friendly dogs which staying in the living room, kitchen and backyard area. The Shiztu, 21 pounds and the Shipoo, 11 pounds. They will bark when they see strangers in the house. Feel free to pet them if you like dogs. Please don’t feed them. Thanks!

For security and safety reasons, surveillance cameras are installed at the parking lot, the front door, the foyer and our living room.

The space
This delightful tiny house was hand-crafted with love by a father and daughter team over years of gathering and repurposing quality materials together. The home boasts custom built cabinetry, a hand carved oak door, beautiful fir wood ceiling and floor, and shiplap walls and artful decor. Large and plentiful windows offer amazing natural light.
The thoughtfully designed space is well equipped with a shower, on demand hot water, a Composting Toilet, and sleeping loft.

To access this loft, you will need to climb the ladder steps on the wall. This can be tricky to navigate for those with mobility or balance issues, or, the very young, so we only recommend this tiny house to those who are agile and able to climb up and down. Please be careful on these stairs.

We care about our environment and ecology surrounding us. We ask that guests use only fragrance free biodegradable shampoos, conditioners, soaps and cleaning products. Quality products will be provided for you during your stay. We have a filtered and well-designed modern Compost Toilet for your use in the bathroom.Thank you for being mindful of our sensitive environment!

Just a 2 minute walk from our cabin is the majestic White Salmon River. We recommend a walk along the river and even a dip during the warm summer months. (Just be mindful of the swift current if you do).

Guest access
Guests are able to access the Tiny house, an adjacent parking spot, the nearby trails at Northwestern Park with river access and surrounding 150 acres of forest including hiking trails. There are private residences on the property and nearby, we ask you to be mindful of neighbors. A map is provided to guide you on your adventures.

Other things to note
Please take note that we have composting toilets with instruction to follow for proper use.
The steps up to loft can be a little tricky at first.

Just one block from downtown White Salmon, the location is perfect! Expect a "Columbia Gorge meets modern minimal" design. This spot has everything you need to enjoy the amenities of a hotel in the comfort of your own space.

The space
With an open living concept, the great room has a view of Mt Hood as well as a retractable barn door so you can enjoy fresh air while you relax. The two Barnhaus bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with brand new KING beds and easily closed off by individual pocket doors so guests have additional privacy.
***Shared Hot Tub and Sauna on property. Must get approval prior to using as this space is shared.

Guests love the remote, woodsy space despite being only 3 miles from White Salmon. Our .5 mile rural gravel road leads to the dog-friendly studio apartment over the garage with a clear-day view of Mt. Hood from the comfortable king-size bed. You’ll have kitchen, bathroom, and patio with access to trails. We live in the main house next door with our cat and big, friendly 5 year old dog Wilson. We sometimes have guests in our yurt and we often work outside. ALL are welcome!

The space
People love the view of the mountain, the peace and serenity, and the dog-friendly space. We live half a mile up a bumpy gravel road, but it leads to seclusion. We are currently building two tiny homes on the property but will not work on them much while people are staying. We have a dog, cat, garden, and forested space. In the winter, the driveway may require all wheel drive, and if a storm causes cancellation, we do not collect any fee.

We are very dog friendly and have a dog of our own, as well as a cat. Please let us know if your dog does not get along well with others or if you have any special needs or concerns. Each dog is $20, cash can be left for more than one dog. Cats are $40 because they leave a lot of hair on furniture.

We designed and built our White Salmon Retreat to be a family-friendly, pet-friendly ($20/pet) and therapeutic space set in the trees where your soul can find rest and relaxation. Our Retreat is surrounded by mature Fir, Oak, and Maple trees and frequented by the local wildlife. We are excited to share this space with you. Fully stocked kitchen! We use scent-free laundry soap and cleaning supplies. Washer/Dryer. Deck with fire pit table and gas grill. Nectar mattress is SO COMFORTABLE!

The space
My 8 kids and I built our guest house White Salmon Retreat from June 2021 to April 2022. It was such a joy so work with my kids most days and really put our hearts and souls into this project. Our prayer is that when you stay in our Retreat you feel rested, refreshed, and encouraged! You can see pics of the construction in our photo gallery:)!

I use only All Natural 7th Generation cleaners, dish washer detergent, soap, and laundry soap in our Retreat. No harmful chemicals.

If you are Gluten Free or Vegan please let me know because I would love to set snacks and treats for you that will work:)

Early Check-in (as early as 1:00pm) and late check-out (as late as 3:00pm) is available for an extra $20. Please message me if you’re interested in this!

Our Guest House Retreat is a second story facility with a full kitchen, full bathroom with a washer and dryer for doing laundry and a bedroom with a very comfortable queen mattress, dresser, and recliner. The great room has a couch, chair and a 55” Roku tv. You are welcome to log into any of your streaming subscriptions and watch:). We have a dining table with 4 chairs.

The kitchen is equipped with every amenity I could think of and if you have a request for something please let me know and I am happy to provide it. The WIFI is very fast and consistent! The windows all have faux wood blinds for privacy and there is a curtain to draw across the sliding glass door for privacy. The refrigerator has an ice maker.
I stock the fridge with bottled waters and fresh eggs. The cabinets are stocked with various coffees, creamers, hot cocoa, teas, instant oatmeal, and all the cooking items you may need:). The deck has a new gas grill and fire pit table with two chairs for a surreal relaxing environment amongst the trees and wildlife:). The hummingbirds love to visit our feeders all throughout the day.

We are 2 minutes from Wet Planet and River Drifters Rafting guide services in Husum, 5 minutes from the Tin Roof Barn venue, 10 minutes from down town White Salmon and 15 minutes from down town Hood River:)!

Our Retreat is the second story of this building. The stairs to acces it are on the right side of the building. The shop underneath is a storage shop that I use but hardly ever need to access.

Other things to note
Early Check-In (1:00pm rather than 4:00pm is $20 if available) and Late Check-Out is 3:00pm rather than 11:00am and is $20 if available.
Our neighborhood is very peaceful:). We have neighbors with young kids and so we hope for quiet hours from 8pm to 7am. Any normal activities are totally fine but just want to avoid any loud music or other noises that would be off putting.
