A charming whimsical retreat in the High Valley community of Packwood, WA. - this retreat is close to Mount Rainier providing countless hiking opportunities; nearly out of the back door! Cowlitz River access is just across the road and a small walking distance away. There are many dvd movies to watch, CDs for listening & books to read. Build a campfire, look at the stars, read a book, or just enjoy the elk walking by. The house sleeps 2 (Queen bed), 1 on a sofa (if you wish but it is not a hide-a-bed). I love decorating so every room has special touches to make it homey and comfortable. If you are looking for sterile plain surroundings this is not the place for you. It has been decorated as my very own home and it is comfortable warm and inviting! I love Packwood and I love the mountains! Use of the seasonal community country club - pool swimming and golf are available upon request (time allowing for permission slips).

Cozy 282 sq foot packwood travel camper on a quiet cul de sac at the end of high valley. King bed with 55 inch hdtv and Xbox s. Pull out sofa with 32 inch hdtv. AC and furnace. Small propane and charcoal Weber grills. Google wifi mesh network. The bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer and a small shower. Yard games, ping pong, hammocks and fire-pit.

About a 10 minute (5 mile) drive to downtown Packwood. 5 minute walk to the river access trail. About a 30 minute (25 mile) drive to White Pass ski area.

Property is partially fenced in the back yard. Neighbor does have a friendly dog that may visit and also a rooster that wakes up early.

*Living quarters are in a travel camper and thus space provided in shower, bathroom, kitchen and other living areas are minimized to fit the 282 square footage.

*There are security cameras on the front yard and driveway only. The inside and backyard with games and fire pit are private.

*Like most of High Valley, there is a mixture of cabins, ranch homes, and manufactured homes in the neighborhood. Neighboring tenants are a mixture of full time and vacationers.

* Please be safe and responsible. This RV is permanently parked under cover on private property and is maintained and inspected regularly. It is operated by Nine Properties LLC as a vacation rental. The town was super close too so it was very nice to swing by the brewery at night and coffee shops/stands during the day. Ontop of the location being more than ideal the RV was amazing. Mount Rainier Chipmunk Cabin sits on a corner lot full of ferns, cedar trees, and rhododendrons in the High Valley neighborhood (see map for location and proximity to other neighbors). We are on a quiet cul-de-sac with 60 acres of Gifford Pinchot forest across the street. The Cowlitz River is just a 5-minute walk away. We are close to Packwood town, minutes from hiking trails, 17 miles to White Pass Ski Resort, and 20-25 minutes from Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park entrances. This updated cabin is full of amenities that perfectly combine the nature of the Pacific Northwest with the comfort of fine lodging.

THE CABIN: 1 bedroom, 1 open loft bedroom, 3/4 bath, sleeps 5. All mattresses and linens are high-quality. High-speed internet throughout the house, and keyless entry.

Bedroom 2 (upper, open loft): King bed, twin futon, dresser, closet, nightstands, and reading lights

Note about traveling to Packwood: Please check pass information if you are visiting outside of summer months. Cayuse Pass (HWY123) and Skate Creek Rd. (FR 52) are impassable for many months even though your GPS may tell you otherwise. Cayuse Pass is a beautiful way to arrive from the Seattle area, but it is only open June - Oct. Skate Creek Rd. to and from the Nisqually entrance of Mt. Rainier is scenic as well, but is closed often in winter and even spring months. The most certain way to arrive from the Seattle and Portland areas is to go through Morton and enter on HWY 12. Scenic White Pass Highway (HWY 12) is cleared and kept open all year long. It is a separate building from the main cabin and attached to the back of the garage. It is 200 sq ft - has a queen bed, bathroom, jakuzzi tub, small wood stove, 55 inch 4K hd tv, soundbar, google Wifi mesh network, Keurig coffee maker, fold down table/desk and chair, and a fridge. It cannot be rented separate from the main cabin. Nor will it ever be occupied if main cabin renters choose not to add it to their stay. If added to the main cabin stay it would increase the maximum people to 8 with 6 adults and 2 children sleeping on the couch or mats.
