I definitely recommend the delicious breakfast at the near by Dolphins resort and make a res for dinner. We had a great spring break trip and would definitely stay again!"

- "Wonderful" - "We booked this cottage at last minute, thinking we can’t be picky as long as there’s 2 bedrooms and accepts dogs, one being 100 lbs. when we arrived, we were very pleased to see how nice the cottage is in person! The photos only resemble the cottage, and does not do justice! It is VERY clean, spacious bedrooms, one which opens up to the balcony and has a view. All amenities are well thought out, and there is no need to pack extra towels or blankets. Our highlight was definitely the wonderful balcony/patio. The view is just stunning. You have to use the hot tub, as you will have a very different perspective of the ocean from there, and ofc, the added pampering. They even provided a board to place at the stairs to enclose our dogs on the patio. That was very much appreciated. Karen was absolutely a gem, and went out of her way to make our trip memorable! The only reason why I gave a 4 for location is because the cottage is right next to a scenic view point, and you can hear the visitors. Otherwise, it is very convenient and close to everything. I highly recommend the seaside cottage ❤️"

The local Government Wharf has a Sea Monger for fresh seafood, right out of the Pacific Ocean – just 10 minutes away. Don’t feel like cooking? No worries, there are 3 gourmet restaurants within walking distance- Dolphin’s Resort, Painter’s Lodge or take a water taxi from Painter’s over to April Point, as well as a number of other restaurants within a 5 – 10 minute drive.

The backyard offers very long bank line along the river. There are four dedicated fishing spots in the backyard. The widest River bank, slowest river current makes it the best place for fishing on Campbell River.

Our house is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, gas range, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and separate laundry room. The dropleaf table provides that extra space when eating or doing a puzzle and can be tucked up against the wall when not needed. For those cooler evenings cozy up to the gas fireplace with a warm drink and a good book. When you’re good and tired from all that fresh air you can curl up on the queen size bed for the night. Outside you can enjoy sitting around a campfire at the beach(when fires are permitted) roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. We are a 20 minute drive to the base of Mount Washington ski resort that offers world class downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snow-shoeing in winter and great mountain biking trails in the summer plus loads of other fun. Downtown Campbell River is a 20 minute drive north and downtown Courtenay is a 20 minute drive south. We are centrally located between both regional hospitals. You will find many fun and interesting things to do. The outdoor hiking opportunities, golfing, wineries, beaches, fishing and incredible adventures are endless.

The space
This is the upper level suite of this beautiful vintage home, so you do have to climb some stairs to get to your space. It is fully contained with its own full bathroom and complete kitchen. The private elevated covered deck keeps you protected from the elements year round, while watching small marine traffic, majestic cruise liners as well as tugs with barges in tow, battling the Strait’s ocean currents. Cook up a delightful meal on the grill while watching the eagles sore to their nest across the road, as they screech for their next meal.

You will have full access to your private suite and shared access to free laundry located on the bottom level. Currently the landscaping is not complete and there is no fence on the roadside retaining wall, so yard use is limited.

We kindly request that there be no parties or events hosted at our riverfront house. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and tranquil environment for all guests to enjoy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a serene atmosphere.

In consideration of the comfort and well-being of all guests, we have designated our property as a non-smoking area. We kindly ask that you refrain from smoking inside the house and any other interior spaces. However, if you wish to smoke, there are designated outdoor areas where smoking is permitted. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly and ensure that the smoke does not disturb other guests or negatively impact the environment.

- "This is an absolute beautiful spot on the river. Our 3 night stay was wonderful especially the bear watching as well as all the other birds and fish visible from your living room windows. The first day we had a mother bear and 3 cubs come down to the other side of the river to eat some salmon that were swimming in the water. The beds were very comfortable and it was really nice having a sink and toilet off of the master bedroom. This unit is on the top floor which was fine for us however anyone with mobility issues my have a struggle getting up the 2 flights of stairs. The only negative thing I could say would be the cooking utensil inventory could be increased, it could use a couple of nonstick fry pans with lids, cheese grater, better cutlery etc. It seems like maybe over time guests have removed or damaged items and just haven't been replaced. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again. It's close to everything and is still quiet and very relaxing."

We provide all you'll need for your stay to be comfortable. Near to Elk Falls, the Campbell River, Ripple Rock hikes and 40 min from Mt. Washington.
Situated below our primary residence, this 675 sq ft space is freshly painted, and trimmed inside with local Douglas fir. The ceilings are 9 ft high thus adding to a sense of spaciousness. The main area windows on two of the walls provide plenty of natural light. There is a basic kitchenette with a fridge and freezer. Sorry no oven but a single induction burner, instapot, electric skillet, rice cooker, toaster or microwave to cook with inside the suite.
Outside under an over-height covered deck is a propane BBQ with both a dining and couch seating area that is set up for your outdoor cooking and leisure. When the blackberries on the lawn edge are ripe please help yourself. The outside views on the inside of the suite are also quite enjoyable. Being on the lower floor its nice and cool in the warmer months. Local art work and home spun textiles are featured throughout.

Located next to the Strathcona Gardens with its pool, gym and skating rink and five minute drive to the ocean you will find many things to do in this area. There may be the some noise from our baby but we try our best to keep it at the minimum.

~ Sorry, we are not set up for children or pets as guest yard is not fenced as it open to the ocean (backyard) and we have 2 overly friendly large breed dogs on the property who are not used to children.
~ Regarding our dogs: Cooper & Kali - you wont need to interact with them as they have their own fenced yard - unless you want to of course. They may woof at you, but they are actually extremely friendly. You may also hear them playing upstairs at times.
~ We provide your first 'continental style' breakfast: fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, milk cream

Panago Pizza and Domino Pizza delivers food that comes to this address. Panago has amazing fresh salads. There are good restaurants just a 20 to 30 min. drive from our bay.

We have 2 overly friendly large breed - exuberant dogs and you may run into into. We do our best to keep them out of your way and they have their own fenced area.

Long-term guests are provided with an initial supply of tp, dish soap etc - then there is a list of septic-friendly products you can purchase for your longer stay.

Planning on fishing and have a boat? We have parking for your boat and the boat launches are just minutes away. You could also moor it out front and kayak back and forth. We also have a large freezer for your catch.

The Driftwood Suite is centrally located making many things in Campbell River within walking distance. The sea walk, hospital, museum, Centennial Park and the beach are a couple blocks away:) This cozy lower level suite surrounds you with natural elements and coastal vibes. The Driftwood Suite is ready to welcome you!

The space
This suite has a ground level entryway room with storage space. In the suite there is an open living and bedroom space, small kitchenette with a banquet dining space, and a tiny bathroom with a shower (no bath tub, so sorry!).
The suite has heating and an indoor fireplace. No air conditioning, but the inside stays relatively cool in the summer being set into the hillside.
There is a TV with Roku and a small help yourself library.
Outside there is a private patio space, east facing, with bistro seating and a swing. Great for a morning coffee in the sun or shady afternoon tea! There are solar patio lights operated by remote for your convenience.

Feel free to enjoy the garden and shared backyard fire pit. (There is currently a fire ban- started July 12th) There are lots of flowers, a few lawns, shady spots and ocean breezes, you are welcome to spread a blanket out and relax outdoors.
For your privacy, (and because we have many doors in this house for some reason?), we won’t use the exterior stairs during your stay or be near your windows at all. There is a box wood hedge in front of the patio for additional privacy. We are out and about in the garden.
The entryway is for you to use, feel free to store larger things like bikes, skis, gear, strollers, or just jackets and shoes. I sometimes have to sneak through this space to access my laundry, garage etc, but I try to stay out of your way:).
It’s a quirky little space, many doors… but yours is labeled :)

Garden Side Suite has a it’s own entrance with a lovely green space attached. The property is over 1/2 acre and has several lounge areas designated to guest. I have several vegetable gardens, 2 established blueberry patches, a green house( which is actually white). Guests will notice myself or husband often working in the yard and will minimize our presence. The yard is fenced and gated, preventing our local deer from snacking on my garden. Typically the gate is open during the day and closed/latched at night, no key required.
