This small cozy home is in the District of Port Hardy which located in the Northern tip of Vancouver Island BC. It is rich, rugged and resilient, Port Hardy is the gateway to an authentic, unspoiled, nature-driven adventure. We have 2 bedrooms, your renting is the one master bedroom come with 1 double bed, wifi, shared washroom, shared kitchen, laundry, access to use common area, front and back yards.

It is a 5 min walk to all the downtown shops and Sunday Market. Absolutely beautiful views from the sea walk starting just outside the home. Close to restaurants, grocery store, pickle ball/tennis courts, and an abundance of parks and trails.

There is a hot tub and pool in the backyard, as well as a Massage business on the premises so you can completely relax & enjoy!

Your Private Space

You will have an Oceanview room with a king bed. It has a tv (with Netflix & Prime), desk & chair, closet, dresser, mini-fridge, side tables, coffee maker and kettle with green & black tea, as well as, fresh local coffee grounds with cups and sugar.


Shared Space
We have two bathrooms, two living room spaces with large flatscreens with Netflix & Prime, kitchen, dining room, hot tub and pool. We have board games, books and loungers for outside. We have plenty of free street parking and wifi is included. We also have just installed a small putting green and above ground pool in the backyard.

Guest access

Use of our Hot Tub is included. If there is a specific request please don't hesitate to ask. Hot tub is open till 10pm. Please let us open it and show you how to use it. If needed laundry facilities can be used however please ask before doing so.

Other things to Note

This is not a private home stay, Tom will be here. There is also a very well behaved dog named Lucy that lives here in the home. She will be in all the shared spaces, if you do not like dogs, this is not the stay for you. She is a 30lb sheltie, and loves people and playing fetch.

There is a public beach just a 30 second walk down the street. On site we also have Mindful Massage & Healing, which is a professional massage studio that Tom runs so you are welcome to book a massage during your stay.

You are welcome to used the kitchen, bathroom or living room. Please use the wooden cutting board and add oil or water in pans or pot before turning the stove top on! :)

We will be able to be reached by either text, call or at home. We will most likely be around if there are any questions.

Welcome to the garden level suite of the Hunt Street House. Brand new and beautifully furnished, complete with a gorgeous eat-in island and peek-a-boo ocean views.

The garden suite is better suited for 4 guests as there is not a dining table, just the eat-in island :)

This main level suite is located at the rear entrance to our home and is accessed through a shared common area.

The suite consists of a kitchenette with dining table and chairs, living area, separate bedroom, bathroom and sauna.
While the bedroom space is modest for a queen-sized bed, we prioritized bed size over spaciousness.

The kitchenette includes mini fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, hot plate, air fryer and all essential amenities

While cozy in size, the bathroom includes a compact shower, standard toilet, and vanity. Its unique selling point is the attached sauna, adding an extra layer of relaxation to your stay

The suite has excellent sound insulation; nevertheless, occasional noise from footsteps and lively children upstairs may be heard

Guests are to use the suite and shared entryway.
Feel free to relax and enjoy the patio chairs and side table located just outside your suite.

We ask that guests kindly refrain from wandering around the property

Please note that our personal washer and dryer are located in the entryway, so you may occasionally encounter us while we are doing laundry.

Welcome to Estuary Escape. We are a cozy 2-bedroom basement suite across the street from the beautiful Quatse River Estuary. Suite comes with private entrance, patio w BBQ and seating, 3QB, 70inch television (Crave & Netflix), Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, stand up shower, work desk and fully equipped kitchen. Tea and coffee are provided.
Suite has changing seasonal views, garden views in the summer and estuary view in the winter/early spring when foliage is not in bloom.

The space
The property is a fair size. The grass/garden area in front of the suite is for guests to use, but we please ask guests to not climb the play fort or venture around the top front of the property. Feel free to help yourself to various berries around the property (blueberries, blackberries and thimbleberries. There is a nice pavement path across the street that runs along the estuary where you can walk to town or take a right and enjoy the Quatse Loop trail.
*** DISCLAIMER*** There are two young boys that live above the suite so there will be some sporadic thumping and bumping at times during the day when an energy release hits but is not an all day long affair. Please be aware of this prior to booking.

Guest access
The entire basement suite is for guest use. There is a door off the kitchen that leads to a storage room between the upper and lower floors. This room is off limits and dead bolted.

Other things to note
Town bylaw is that a maximum of 6 overnight guests is allowed at anytime.

Here you’ll be able to relax, enjoy the cozy bright living room with vaulted ceilings. A fully equipped kitchen. The home is located in a neighbourhood just off the highway. Short walk or bike into town. Port Hardy is the town with the closest access to Holberg and Cape Scott.

15 min drive to Storey’s Beach. 1.5 hr drive to the Cape Scott/San Josef Bay trail head.

Note: this is the home to two cats which will not be in the space during your stay. They live in the basement suite.

The space
You’ll have use to all spaces listed, 2 queen bedrooms, 1 full bath, fully equipped kitchen & living area. The home is a duplex located in a neighbourhood a short distance from the highway. You’ll find interesting collected art and pops of colours around the house. My hopes in hosting this space is you feel like you’re at home away from home.

The home is best equipped for adults and children 10+. There are stairways that do not have any safety gates and no child amenities.

*Note* the fireplace in the living room isn’t available to be used due to insurance reasons.

There’s a separate entrance suite in the basement suite of this home which is occupied as well as the garage. The home is a duplex so expect some noises especially with small children foot steps next door.

Laundry facilities are NOT AVAILABLE in this home. There are two laundromats in Port Hardy at the Quarterdeck Marina and at Stryker Marine. If you need help with addresses let me know.

Unfortunately I cannot accept ANY pets during your stay.

Please note that two cats usually live in this home. If you are VERY allergic this may not be the best home for you. I ensure that I do a deep clean but due to some furniture and decor being fabric I can’t guarantee you’ll be allergy free. The cats will not be in the rental suite during your stay. If you allow them in the house for a visit (an orange cat named Archie or black and white cat named Dominica, they both wear collars with name tags) you are more than welcome, please let them back out before it is dark!

The living room has a wonderful sectional couch, that you sink right into when you sit down to watch your beautiful ocean view, or to relax in front of the TV. The dining room has a high top table that seats 4 comfortably. The bed is queen size and equipped with luxurious high thread, count sheets and there’s also a TV in the room for your enjoyment. There is a hidabed in the living room with bed linens in the bin in the bedroom closet. The patio is right outside your door where you can sit and relax, just steps away from the sandy beaches of Storey’s Beach and watch the eagles as there are many, and you may even see an orca or two!

In this suite, you have full access to the downstairs suite which includes laundry, kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, hidabed and bathroom. You can also enjoy the front and back yards, but there may be guests in the upper suite, enjoying it as well.

Disclaimer: We can refuse a booking if the guest has zero or negative reviews. In some cases, we will accept outside references in place of reviews. This rule is based on negative experiences we’ve had in the past and is not meant as a judgement against the guest.

When there is no fire ban: please note we do *NOT* provide firewood or lighters. You can purchase these locally. When using the fire pit outside, please remain with the fire at all times. Once you are finished using the fire pit please ensure that you put the fire out with water, as unattended fires can be unpredictable and hazardous.

Please lock the sliding glass back door before leaving the premises. The remote smart locking system is only through the front door. Please lock the front door by holding down the # button for 3 seconds until you hear the lock engage.

Do not leave any garbage outside, due to wildlife. For guests staying long term, please let us know if you need us to take your garbage away. Otherwise, please keep all garbage inside.
