This unique and modern suite was built in 2018/19. It is located in the beautiful Northwest Bay in Nanoose Bay. A perfect combination of ocean and mountain views, it's breathtaking to watch the local wildlife and sunsets. The suite has its own private entrance. With a queen bed, 2 twin beds, furnished kitchenette, bathroom and ocean front deck. The ocean front deck is the best place for sun tanning, having a glass of wine or a pint of beer while enjoying the summer breeze.
Children are welcome. They need to able to walk on uneven floor/ground. (see twin bed area pictures)
Propane BBQ Grill is provided to make your favourite grill dishes whether for lunch or dinner. An outside dinning table also available at the deck with a great view to make your every meal special and memorable.
This location is perfect for water activities such as Swimming, Kayaking, Canoeing, Paddle Boarding as well the neighbourhood is ideal for biking and walking for the entire family to explore and enjoy.
March is the herring season. Fishing boats are an additional attraction during this month. From late summer to late spring the bay is full of sea lions, during the summer they go to California to breed. You'll enjoy watching seals, sea otters and sometimes even whales. Birds such as herons, eagles, sea gulls, humming birds are visible in the area as well as deer.
We are minutes drive away from National Parks, Nanaimo, Parksville, Goats in the Roof in Coombs, Englishman river falls, Qualicum Beach and much more. Popular restaurants aren't far if you want to go out for lunch or dinner. It is also close to a marina, grocery stores, gas station, liquor stores and banks.
Nanoose Bay is blessed with beautiful nature, peace and tranquility. Excellent destination on the Island to have fun, adventures or just relax for the entire family.

Fully fenced and gated 1 acre property for your travelling companions to enjoy. Enjoy a beautiful 4kms forest hike within walking distance. Your self contained fully furnished semi ground level one bedroom suite is waiting for you. This is country living yet close to amenities. Plenty of parking, we can even accommodate your big rig, 5th wheel or travel trailer. Our property is located aproximately 12 kms from the town of Ladysmith, and 6 kms to Highway 1 access for north and southbound travel. There is a lovely small beach with beautiful views (Elliot Beach) only 3 kms away. Perfect for kayaking or just relaxing.

We had a gorgeous view of the ocean and took lots of sunrise and sunset pictures. It was an easy drive for day trips to Coombs, Qualicum, Rathtrevor Beach, and Parksville. Taaja was a gracious and knowledgeable host giving us lots of tips on places to visit. Although we knew there would be stairs up to our unit, it was a long flight of stairs to carry up our luggage. Overall, we had a lovely stay and recommend this accommodation."

Great for winter storm watching or for exploring the calm warm seas of summer. - "Enjoyed this clean, well laid out suite with lots of amenities and everything you need to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay. There is a nice patio area with BBQ and outdoor dining. The dock was great with room for our boat and for swimming and relaxing. The hosts were wonderful and our dog enjoyed her stay as well." - "We really enjoyed our stay here. The suite had an absolutely stunning lakefront view! The suite was clean and well-equipped. We had everything we needed. The hosts even supplied everything our dog could want, including dog bowls, dog treats, a ball and poop bags. So nice that it was so dog friendly! The hosts were friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and the hosts kindly made their watersports equipment and toys available to us. Our 3-year-old had a great time! The only thing to note is that the suite is very much part of the family house. It is the downstairs suite under the main house, and the patio is right below the family's main patio. We did not mind (aside from occasionally smelling smoke from one of the visiting family members) but for those looking for privacy or to be well away from the hosts, this may not work for them."

This glamorous self contained suite is the perfect place for a romantic get away or for some down time for a single! Guests love this affordable way to enjoy the Inn of the Sea and all the resort amenities! Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided!
Please note that this suite does NOT have a kitchen, however it does have a toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, mini fridge, dishes and cutlery. There are common area BBQ's available on the property. Dishes are done with a dishpan and using the sink in the bathroom.
The buildings are condo style and therefore you can expect noise transfer from above and below. This is a family friendly resort and we observe quiet time from 10pm -8pm.

Not a huge deal but if you're a very light sleeper or want complete silence this unit may not be for you. We found it no problem and were quite happy with our stay overall!"

This is a beautiful 2 bedroom penthouse apartment located at the Inn of the Sea on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Guests love the breathtaking views of the ocean from every window. The decor is modern yet comfortable, with nothing being overlooked. High end finishes, furniture and bedding - you will feel spoiled as you lounge in style.
Overlooking both the ocean and giving you glimpses of the ocean front pool and hot tub - all windows offer views. Your breath will be taken away at every turn.
The resort is located in picturesque Yellowpoint - found by driving along the winding road that takes you past farmlands, local artisans, lakes and best of all - the ocean. Just a 10 minute drive to the famous "Crow and Gate" pub, and 2 minute walk to Blue Heron Park (guests can access this park by beach if the tide is out!)
The Resort is nestled amoung trees and perched beachfront on the Salish Sea. We offer an ocean front heated pool in the summer, an ocean front hot tub open year round, a 100' dock for boats up to 30' feet (seasonal), a tennis court, a beach fire pit, children's playground and a coin operated laundromat on the property.
Guests who stay at the Inn of the Sea call it a "hidden gem" and when you stay here, at the Penthouse, you will be the envy of the Resort!
- "We had a great time. The location was a little remote but we prefer to be outside of town. It was very quite and relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped. They added a lot of small touches to make our stay more comfortable. I loved the battery operated candles and the blankets on the balcony. The candles were perfect for our anniversary dinner and the blanket came in handy for morning coffee on the balcony. The owner sent great recommendations for nearby trails and restaurants which were appreciated. We would definitely stay again."

Summary:
Welcome to my newly furnished 3 bedroom and 1 full washroom suite. We are 5 minutes away from the BC Ferry Terminal and walking distance to Departure Bay Beach. A great location to stop before or after you trip to the mainland or to the rest of Vancouver Island.
Enjoy the huge yard or stroll along the beach watching the sunset or sunrise. Enjoy canoeing or water paddling in the ocean. It's a beautiful quiet location.
The Space:
Ground floors private suite , 3 bedrooms with 1 large couch at living room. Max to 7 people stay. The yard is huge for any activity for kids or for a get together. There is no washer/dryer at this particular unit.
Guest Access:
All guests have exclusive access to the suite. The lot is a common area shared with other guests in the suite but it is large enough to have some privacy.
New guest will have an access code to enter the house
The Neighborhood:
We are situated 10 minutes from downtown Nanaimo and the Old City Quarter, 5 minutes from Departure By Ferry Terminal. 3 minutes from the Nanaimo Golf Club. 2-minute walk to Departure Bay Beach.
Getting Around:
Uber and Lyft is available along with taxi and a bus stop 5 minutes away.

We stressed that we could not get back to the home due to work and communication continued in the same manner. We ended up going back, packing up a day early and stayed at a hotel. This place is not fit to stay at!"

Perfectly situated in Ladysmith, enjoy the historical and charming high street, Transfer beach, playgrounds, trails galore, groceries and restaurants.
Very close to the ferries and airport, discover beautiful Island destinations in under 2 hours from Campbell River, Victoria, Cowichan Lake, Port Renfrew, Parksville or even pop over to Saltspring Island with ease.
The property:
The Suite is the lower floor of our family home and you have the use of a private covered deck to enjoy.
Family- friendly: travel crib, high chair, bed rail, and kids dishes and toys available! Please let us know what you need!
Feel free to bring your camping stove if you would like to cook outside. There is a dining table and some comfortable chairs for outdoor chilling!
With a well-stocked kitchen and a workspace, we hope that you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay!
Sleeping arrangements:
There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the family room which becomes a double bed.
The space is suitable for a small family or 3-4 adults. There is no door between the bedroom and family room, just a privacy curtain (to comply with fire safety regulations).
Family noises:
Just want to be clear that we have two young boys in the house upstairs and there will be sounds of life overhead! They go to sleep at 7:30pm so it is nice and quiet upstairs all night and we do our best to keep them quiet in the mornings for you.

The space
This suite is located in a semi-industrial area and sits on the upper level of a self-serve Car/Truck wash. Normally it is quiet at night but someone may wash their car in which case you may hear a soft hum from the pump room,
The Car Wash operates from 6 AM to 10 PM daily. There is also a lumber mill yard across the way and depending on wind direction you may or may not hear them operating
2 free parking stalls right outside your door (angle parking to retaining wall). Access to the suite is by the back door and upstairs.
This unit is not recommended for children under 12 years, or persons with mobility limitations there is no yard just a back balcony.

Quick access just 1 block off Hwy 1 within walking distance to Marinas, the beach, grocery and the unique downtown shops of Ladysmith.

A unique stay ideally situated in an oceanside community. This multi-level space includes private entry to an airy yoga studio, and a thoughtfully appointed spacious upper level suite. You'll experience peace and privacy, with access to many trails and beaches from your doorstep.
The space
This treetop casa is appointed with the essentials - a super cozy queen-size bed, charming 3-piece bathroom (suite is shower-only), sofa couch and 42" HD TV, and a separate dining area. The kitchen is simple but functional; you won't find a stove, but you can take care of basic cooking needs with a large multi-function toaster oven, and other fun appliances, like a rice and egg cooker. There is pull-up parking to the studio for ease of access, and be prepared to walk up two sets of stairs to get to the suite. There are yoga mats provided if you're interested in a fitness practice during your stay, otherwise you might just enjoy the space for the novelty!
** Important Note: There is no A/C in the suite - on hot summer days I make sure to get it as cool as possible prior to your arrival.

The studio is cozy at just 300 square feet - perfect for a single guest or a couple. It offers a king bed, a small kitchenette area (mini fridge, microwave, kettle, French press) private bathroom with a tub and shower, and private entrance and 2 balconies - one at the entrance on the west side of the building (which has a dining table and chairs and is shared with the neighbouring unit) and a small, private balcony oceanside with unobstructed ocean views. Please note there is NO kitchen in this studio, and it has one flight of stairs to the entrance as it located on the second floor. There are laundry facilities available on the property (not in the studio, coin operated). The studio comes with access to the tennis court, BBQ areas (grills and propane provided), children's play area, outdoor pool (heated May-October) and a year round hot tub both located on a oceanfront deck over the shoreline. Boat moorage may be available for an additional fee from May to September, please enquire for availability and rates.

Wonderful and peaceful location on the edge of the ocean. We slept with the balcony door open to listen to the sound of the waves and to enjoy the fresh air. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept very well!
The unit is very well equipped, extra clean and spacious! Quiet location and quiet home. The living room is cozy with a large TV. Wifi worked perfectly without interruption. The bathroom was super clean and very functional (tub/shower combo). Heating controls are in the unit, so you decide what temperature you want. Parking is on site. The morning view, looking at the ocean, is "magnifique"'!
Note: this location is perfect if you have a vehicle. In fact, Nanaimo consists of a long urban ribbon along the coast and the area is best enjoyed if you have your own transportation. There is a shopping center close by where you will find everything to make your stay at this oceanfront location a perfect holiday!

In the shoulder and low season, we welcome 2 night stays, however, in the high season (June-3 nights, July, August, September we have a 5 night minimum.
Note that the ferry is only 4 minutes away. Stay to the right off Departure Bay to Randle Road, turn right. No searching for "how do I get there?" Instructions included in Welcome letter.
Also advice on booking a ferry RESERVATION, not costly, but wise not to be held up in ferry line ups. Also info regarding ferries in the Welcome Letter.
5 minutes to Pipers Lagoon and Neck Point Park. Definitely an experience.
One of our favorite little restaurants is on the ocean in the harbour, surrounded by parked boats called Pennys Palapas, a Mexican restaurant.

The space
Unit 5 is a bright and beautiful hotel suite and is directly on 1st Ave. This unit has one bedroom with deluxe pillow-top hotel mattress and beautiful linens, an armoire to store and hang your clothes, and a kitchenette with large fridge, sink and microwave to accommodate a little longer stays! Coffee maker, kettle and toaster are in the cupboard as well as plates, cups, cutlery, bowls, wine glasses, and mugs. There is also a stacker washer and dryer in the suite for your convenience.
The reclaimed tongue and groove on the floors were salvaged from the upstairs units walls (found behind many layers of other wall surface material). The wood accent wall when you first enter the unit is actually the original flooring from this unit! (That is all we were able to save)
The bathroom has heated floors, and the tiling is designed to mimic the style that would have been used 100 years ago. It also boasts a large walk-in custom shower with a multi-function hand shower with rain head as well as a separate dual function rain head, for your comfort!

The space
This unique suite is geared to impress you with it's 9.5 ft ceiling height adding to the expansive feel, original building elements, and its heritage style mixed with modern elements. The gorgeous floor boards have been reclaimed from all parts of this building, meticulously laid and lightly sanded and sealed to give the amazing colourful effect. The kitchen and hallway walls are original that were uncovered after scraping many layers of wallpaper, fabric, donnaconna board and paneling off. Many hours of sanding and cleaning went into these walls (if only they could talk) and then they were sealed to preserve them, original nails and all.
Modern touches are also provided in this suite including; the deluxe hotel pillow top queen bed for the ultimate sleep, comfortable and fresh linens and the large comfy couch, which offers a perfect place for an afternoon nap.

The kitchen is well equipped and should support all of your culinary needs, with plenty of dinnerware, glasses, pots and pans.
Now let's talk about that mural! Dated in 1903 that is a vinyl wrap made from an original photo of main street. If you are standing on Roberts street looking back towards the hotel that would be the same scene. Wow what a difference 100 + years make.
The bathroom will take you back in time with our use of tile. Styling that would have been used those many years ago, now placed down with a modern application. The "T" on the floor is to acknowledge our logo for the Temperance . Heated floors for your comfort as well as a multi-function shower with rain head.

The space
This is the main floor of a 2 bedroom condo. The second floor bedroom (suite) is rented out separately as the "Raven's Mini".
This one bedroom, one bathroom condo has a queen bed in the bedroom and also a sofa bed for extra guests. Best suited for one couple, but of course if there are extra guests they can sleep on the sofa bed. Alternatively, we can rent out the "Raven's Mini" combined with the "Raven's Nest" if you need 2 bedrooms, please enquire.
There is an ocean view deck off the spacious living room (which has floor to ceiling windows to really take advantage of the views and to let a ton of natural light into the space) which has a Patio table (seats 4) and a lounger for lazy mornings in the sun.
There is a small deck off the kitchen which has an electric grill for convenience and seating patio set for 2. A great place for the afternoon sun!
The landing deck is also furnished with seating for 4 in case you need a shady spot after a full day of fun in the sun at the pool or the beach.
The condo gets bright morning sun so the combination of the ocean breeze and fans provided will be necessary to keep the unit cool on the hotter days.
The unit is on the corner closest to Tillicum Lane, so it is remarkably quiet and serene. You will appreciate watching the wildlife as you enjoy your coffee in the mornings as we are surrounded by trees, manicured lawns, and our own private beach.
You will not be disappointed with your choice to book the Raven's Nest!

The Raven's Nest is completely self contained and with the exception of a few locked storage closets, guests have full access to the one bedroom main condo.

This ground level suite is spacious at 825 square feet - perfect for two to four guests. It offers 1 bedroom with a king size bed plus a queen pullout sofa in the living room, a full kitchen, private bathroom with a tub and shower, a private entrance and 2 patios - one at the entrance on the west side of the building (great for late afternoon sun) and a large patio oceanside with unobstructed ocean views. Access via 6 stairs off the patio to a large lawn and just a few steps to a beautiful beach perfect for easy launching of kayaks and paddle boards. There are laundry facilities available on the property (not in the suite, coin operated). The suite comes with access to the tennis court, BBQ areas (grills and propane provided), children's play area, outdoor pool (heated May-October) and a year round hot tub both located on a oceanfront deck over the shoreline. Boat moorage may be available at the dock for an additional fee from May to September, please inquire for availability and rates.
This suite can be booked together with our adjoining upstairs "beach bliss" studio to accommodate a total of up to 6 guests.

We are New Owners who fell in love with Inn of the Sea 13 years ago. This ground floor ocean front unit with stunning views is the perfect place to relax and retreat. The complex sits on 3.5 acres of ocean front land. Featuring outdoor heated pool(seasonal), hot tub(year round), tennis court, playground, BBQ dining areas, fire pit and 100ft dock. It’s the perfect spot to explore the ocean floor when the tide is low. Truly a vacation you won’t forget and we are excited to share it with you!
The space
There is a great open concept all focusing with unobstructed waterfront views! The well stocked kitchen overlooks the dining area which also overlooks the large living room area with a couch, loveseat, 2 chairs and an electric fireplace. There is a main bathroom with tub/shower and a large vanity. For sleeping, there is a queen murphy bed in the main room, as well as a private bedroom with its own queen bed, closet, and dresser. The space
The condo has been recently renovated and is very stylish with high end furnishings. The kitchen is small but very well appointed with everything you will need for your stay easily within reach. The dining room features a bar height dining table and chairs where you can perch and watch the eagles, seal lions, orcas (if you are lucky!) and the boats go by. It is truly magical.
The living room is cozy and has a high end sofa bed for extra guests if needed.
The bedrooms both have comfortable king beds and views that will take your breath away. The primary bedroom has a 4 piece ensuite. There is a second bathroom across the hall from the secondary bedroom.
The balcony is small, but packs a punch! The views are amazing and cocktail hour with your special someone has never felt nicer. Watch all the action at the pool if you like, or turn your attention to the abundant sea life, or to the bay in front of the neighbouring Blue Heron Park.
This condo is very special and best suited to adults. You will appreciate the efforts and the finishes. And did we mention the views?

The condo is located in the "Lodge" building of the Inn of the Sea, on the third floor. This building has 8 condos in it, and is the anchor of the Inn of the Sea - perched pool/hot tub side. This unit is on the South corner, top floor.
There are stairs to climb to access the unit, and no elevator. Guests must go inside the building to access the unit (no exterior entrance).
