Fabulous

This private two-bedroom suite in Deep Bay is a short walk from the ferry terminal on Bowen Island. Light pours into the garden-level dwelling from big windows overlooking your private covered patio with comfy lounge chairs.
Inside is a simple and clean kitchen with a glass range and large fridge and freezer. A BBQ is available for guest use, if you want to venture outside of the kitchen. We have most of the kitchen items you need to cook a meal, but for guest safety we are currently not providing any pantry basics. We do provide tea and coffee for the first night of your stay (Keurig and individually packaged tea bags). There is a French Press for those who prefer to bring your own favourite roast with you.
A table for four sits in the open layout living/kitchen space, which also has a comfy couch and two chairs. There's a smart TV in the living space where you can sign on to Netflix, Prime etc.
The bedrooms are comfortable and quiet, and keep cool during hot summer months. The bathroom is sleek and has a nice deep bathtub - ready for you to have a relaxing soak, or if you prefer a shower there are dual shower heads.
You will be minutes away from many great things to do on Bowen Island - no car required. Pebbly Beach is a rocky beach located on the north side of Mannion Bay on Bowen Island and is a semi-secluded spot for swimming - you can walk there in around 3-5 minutes. Snug Cove (where the ferry comes in) is a very pleasant 10 to 15 minute jaunt away – restaurants, shops etc. Killarney Lake, a great picnic spot with lots of trails, is also walking distance.
For those of you not familiar with the area, West Vancouver and Vancouver downtown is only a short ferry ride away and it is a pretty little trip. Day-trips to the mainland, even all via public transportation are possible- just watch the ferry schedule for the last one home- it is usually around 10pm. Ferry delays are frequent unfortunately.
Speedy wifi and a serene environment makes this a great option for anyone who works remotely, but wants a break from the city and a chance to see the stars.
This suite is set up for adults, not for children and we are officially no pets.
Please feel free to message us with any questions about when we may be able to make exceptions with additional precautions and fees. This is a property with strictly no parties or loud late nights - quiet time is from 11 pm to 7 am. No unregistered guests or hosting is allowed. We look forward to seeing you!
- "Wonderful experience staying on Bowen Island. Maria was very responsive throughout the booking process leading up to our check in. - "Beautiful view, very clean, didn’t hurt that the weather was fantastic! When they say you need an all wheel or four wheel vehicle, take them seriously. Had an absolutely wonderful stay! Thankyou" - "Had a wonderful time visiting the little refuge on Bowen Island. Place had everything I need and was just above the water so I got to hear seals in the evening. Loved the hikes on Bowen Island. Jan was very helpful. One thing to note is that they are not joking about the steepness of the driveway. I had an AWD and it did fine but the curves are intense. Lovely visit. Would absolutely come back."

Unique unit on the main floor of the house with private terrace and amazing views. It is a three-stories house, that the owner's family also resides in on the first floor. All three levels has a separate entry, kitchens, etc. Housed in the most picturesque place of West Vancouver. Situated just a block up from Batchelor Bay, and just a few minutes walk to the stunning Whytecliff Park where you can find availability for diving and climbing.
- "Such lovely spot to relax and so close to some of the most beautiful walks, trails beaches and parks in Canada! The owners were gracious and helpful. The only minor thing is they only had 1 key yo enter the premises, and I was sharing with a work colleague, which made having different plans a bit of a challenge. It all worked out with some ingenuity!" - "Dmitry and Olga were very helpful telling us about the area and different things to do. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has everthing you would need and it is beautiful!. We would definitely stay here again Thank you Tammy and Rob"

- "This place is stunning!! You cannot beat it! Do not hesitate just because this place doesn’t have a lot of reviews, I couldn’t be happier with our stay my only regret is that I didn’t lengthen my stay there and shorten my stay in Vancouver. Hosts were amazing to deal with, super quick to respond with my couple of worries to do with what’s below. Just as a note anyone (like I was) whom may be a bit panicked as I know I was (being scammed b4) because VRBO has a different process than other rental platforms for confirmation purposes. And if VRBO reads these comments, not getting any confirmation of stay, and not getting any info on stay until day of is a bit worrisome for the consumer. So don’t fret all is good future renters..this place will knock your socks off! Thank you, we will be back ❤️❤️"

- "The suite was nice and comfy. We visited on a cold February weekend so the heated floors in the bathroom and bedroom was very welcomed. The rare snow was made the place magical. If it had been warmer, sitting on the deck with steam running near by would have been very relaxing. A note — the island is basically a mountain so access to the suite is a climb up a sidewalk and steps." - "Check-in was easy. Location was lovely." - "Beautiful place"

Modern unit on the top floor of the house with a private terrace and amazing view. It is a three-stories house, that the owner's family also resides in. All three levels has a separate entry, kitchens, etc. Housed in the most picturesque place of West Vancouver. Situated just a block up from Batchelor Bay, and just a few minutes walk to the stunning Whytecliff Park where you can find availability for diving and climbing.
It is cozy and tastefully furnished, in the Whytecliff area, one of the nicest neighbourhoods of West Vancouver. The apartment is lovely with lots of light and very, very attentive hosts. There are two bedrooms: a big one has a queen-size bed, a small one has a single bed (180x110cm).
There is a huge open deck to access from the unit. If you like hiking, you may enjoy a nice trail, which takes the start from the backyard and leads directly to the ocean.
Do not worry about a procedure to get access to the unit. One of our family members will meet you and introduce everything. You must visit Horseshoe Bay Village which is just 15 minutes by foot from our house. There are lots of pubs, restaurants, souvenirs shops around. I would highly recommend Olive and Anchor restaurant. So delicious food!
Also, you may enjoy Horseshoe Bay harbour, mountain view, etc.
There is one off-street parking spot available just beside our white Mazda MPV car, which we do not use now.

- "This is a beautiful apartment. It's located in far West Vancouver in a nice, quiet, peaceful and heavily wooded neighborhood. The home is actually on the side of a small mountain. The driveway up is steep and there are stairs to get up to the apartment, but we had no problem with it. The apartment is the top floor of the house. There's a beautiful deck, and when you're outside you're close to treetop level. The apartment was very clean, and includes a nice living room with a TV, a great kitchen with modern appliances, and one bathroom with a great shower. There's one bedroom with a large bed, and a smaller separate room with a smaller bed. It's incredibly quiet in the neighborhood and very peaceful. The owner Dmitry was very gracious and kindly allowed us to check in a little early. He showed us around the place, told us about things to see in the area and told us to call if we ever needed anything. He moved from Russia a number of years ago and has an accent, but we had no problem understanding him. We enjoyed being out in West Vancouver and had a great meal in nearby Horseshoe Bay. It's also a perfect starting point if you want to drive up the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler, which we did (and highly recommend). You should be aware that it's probably a 30-minute to one hour drive to downtown Vancouver. If you're headed to Whistler, however, you save that much time getting on the road. The apartment is clean and comfortable and incredibly quiet and peaceful. We would recommend it to anyone."

- "Very comfortable stay. Especially since the other room was a family member " - "Contacting the owner was difficult. The internet and the tv did not work. I feel that the owner knew that there was a problem with the tv before we came because the technician when he was finally contacted by the owner told us that he had advised her that it needed service, but she did not bother to have it done. Very poor service indeed by the owner." - "This room was falsely advertised with no phone number..suggesting you have room 2. I arrived after midnight and could not find out how to get into the room in spite of using the code in panel "B"...not 2. It was a travellers nightmare. I had to travel to another motel and paid for an overnight stay in the North Vancouver Hotel at 2:30 am."

- "Before the trip was a night mare dealing with Vrbo, I accidentally entered an extra letter on my email and it took 6 reps to try and short out fixing that, waiting and not even knowing if we still had the place due to all the confusion was fusteration, not receiving phone calls back when I was told I would besides that the place was in a Perfect location for what we did. Spend a couple night at horse shoe bay and did a day trip to Whistler and a day trip to the Sunshine Coast Home owner was easy to deal with and always contacted us back right away. The room was really big , and lots of storage for our things "

- "This rental is the entire daylight basement of a large house. It is spacious and very clean. The owner was very communicative, providing driving instructions and various helpful reminders. The layout is a little funky, but works. Two bedrooms are spacious and one is a little long and narrow. The shared bathroom is quite large and has a fancy shower (overhead 'rain' fixture, plus chest-height sprays, and a handheld sprayer) and two sinks. It is very well lit. The kitchen is a large U shape which is great for more than one person prepping a meal. There are a lot of appliances including toaster, toaster oven, water heater, and coffee pot. The pots & pans, utensils, and glassware options were a little skimpy, but serviceable. We also only got hot water out of the kitchen faucet after running the dishwasher which pulled a lot of hot water to the front. We found the space overall to be quite comfortable. One odd thing is that all the tables, bedside tables and dressers were covered in thick plastic which didn't look removable. So it is a bit like visiting your great aunt who is obsessed with tidiness. This location is awesome. Although you are 20 - 30 minutes from Downtown (via Stanley Park), you are only 10 minutes from Horseshoe Bay ferry. So if you are going to Vancouver Island, it is a great waypoint. You're also on the road to Whistler. It is 15 minutes from Capilano Suspension Bridge and 20 from Grouse Mountain. Check out the new "Eye of the Wind" attraction at Grouse Mountain - it is an observation deck at the top of a wind turbine at the peak of the mountain - 360 degree views, 50 miles on a clear day. The Vancouver Aquarium is also great and recently updated. You couldn't ask for a better location to get to all activities."

- "This is a very very nice, spacious place that’s clean and beautifully furnished. While it is across the road from the water, it’s up high enough to enjoy the views and not have traffic sounds or fumes. Owner is kind and responsive. Loved the place from top to bottom!" - "The home was clean, comfortable, well maintained and the kitchen seemed well equipped (although we only had one breakfast there.) The furnishings and decor were lovely. Two more chairs for the deck would have been appreciated but perhaps they were tucked away somewhere? There was a hot tub available although we didn’t make use of it. We appreciated the extra little toiletries supplied. A very nice experience."
