- "Beautiful area, staff are great!" - "Nice spot to wait out the ferry. Don’t forget to leave the village and drive away from the ferry to use the uturn route at exit 4 . That allows you to come back on the hwy to get in line for ferries. Little bit of a dead spot in the google map world . " - "It was so nice to get off the bus at Horseshoe Bay and have such a short walk to the motel. At midnight I opened my door to a warm, welcoming room, the TV and a bedside light already turned on for me. This private two-bedroom suite in Deep Bay is a short walk from the ferry terminal on Bowen Island. Light pours into the garden-level dwelling from big windows overlooking your private covered patio with comfy lounge chairs.
Inside is a simple and clean kitchen with a glass range and large fridge and freezer. A BBQ is available for guest use, if you want to venture outside of the kitchen. We have most of the kitchen items you need to cook a meal, but for guest safety we are currently not providing any pantry basics. We do provide tea and coffee for the first night of your stay (Keurig and individually packaged tea bags). There is a French Press for those who prefer to bring your own favourite roast with you.
A table for four sits in the open layout living/kitchen space, which also has a comfy couch and two chairs. There's a smart TV in the living space where you can sign on to Netflix, Prime etc.
The bedrooms are comfortable and quiet, and keep cool during hot summer months. The bathroom is sleek and has a nice deep bathtub - ready for you to have a relaxing soak, or if you prefer a shower there are dual shower heads.
You will be minutes away from many great things to do on Bowen Island - no car required. Pebbly Beach is a rocky beach located on the north side of Mannion Bay on Bowen Island and is a semi-secluded spot for swimming - you can walk there in around 3-5 minutes. Snug Cove (where the ferry comes in) is a very pleasant 10 to 15 minute jaunt away – restaurants, shops etc. Killarney Lake, a great picnic spot with lots of trails, is also walking distance.
For those of you not familiar with the area, West Vancouver and Vancouver downtown is only a short ferry ride away and it is a pretty little trip. Day-trips to the mainland, even all via public transportation are possible- just watch the ferry schedule for the last one home- it is usually around 10pm. Ferry delays are frequent unfortunately.
Speedy wifi and a serene environment makes this a great option for anyone who works remotely, but wants a break from the city and a chance to see the stars.
This suite is set up for adults, not for children and we are officially no pets.
Please feel free to message us with any questions about when we may be able to make exceptions with additional precautions and fees. This is a property with strictly no parties or loud late nights - quiet time is from 11 pm to 7 am. No unregistered guests or hosting is allowed. We look forward to seeing you!

- "Such lovely spot to relax and so close to some of the most beautiful walks, trails beaches and parks in Canada! The owners were gracious and helpful. The only minor thing is they only had 1 key yo enter the premises, and I was sharing with a work colleague, which made having different plans a bit of a challenge. It all worked out with some ingenuity!" - "Dmitry and Olga were very helpful telling us about the area and different things to do. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has everthing you would need and it is beautiful!. We would definitely stay here again Thank you Tammy and Rob"

- "This place is stunning!! You cannot beat it! Do not hesitate just because this place doesn’t have a lot of reviews, I couldn’t be happier with our stay my only regret is that I didn’t lengthen my stay there and shorten my stay in Vancouver. Hosts were amazing to deal with, super quick to respond with my couple of worries to do with what’s below. Just as a note anyone (like I was) whom may be a bit panicked as I know I was (being scammed b4) because VRBO has a different process than other rental platforms for confirmation purposes. And if VRBO reads these comments, not getting any confirmation of stay, and not getting any info on stay until day of is a bit worrisome for the consumer. So don’t fret all is good future renters..this place will knock your socks off! Thank you, we will be back ❤️❤️"

- "The view from this property is absolutely phenomenal! Gorgeous property with wonderful communication from the owner. Loved grilling on the patio overlooking the water and waking up to the sounds of nature. Just be aware that there are a lot of steps leading down to the unit and you have to pay for the ferry each time you go across to the island." - "Check in was very easy. Beware of 40 steps however, on your way down. This home is well made. We felt comfortable inside and outside the suite. Great bbq and view from the deck."

The pictures on the walls, the planters, and the way it was decorated made it for us. The kitchen was well set up and the beds were very comfortable. There were several outside areas to sit, eat, or just look at the views. We were so glad we didn't stay in Vancouver. When we did go down, we couldn't wait to get back "home". Situated in Dorman Bay, our waterfront property is a fabulous location with incredible and expansive views to the North, East and South.
There’s no better place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine to soak in the views! We’re often frequented by eagles, deer & if you're lucky whales!
We’re only a 5 minute drive from Snug Cove (ferry, restaurants, shops), 15 minute walk to Dorman Point, and 10 minute walk to September Morn Beach.
We have two dwellings on the property: the cabin and the main house.
The cabin is 1,000 sq.ft. with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room with sofa bed, full kitchen, large patio, and private hot tub. Sleeps 4 adults and 2 kids.
As you walk into the cabin, you're greeted with an open concept living space (kitchen, dining room, living room). The kitchen and dining room are fully equipped with a 6-seater dining table, 4 bar stools, stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, Keurig coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender, dishes and utensils. The living room has a sofa bed with a queen mattress pull-out, as well as a love seat and flat screen TV. There is access to high speed wi-fi and Netflix. The open concept living space has eclipse sliding doors to the patio where you'll find a BBQ and lounge furniture to enjoy the view.
As you continue though the cabin, you'll see the bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom with a rain shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the second bathroom has a bath tub with a rain shower. There is also a dryer and washer available beside the second bathroom.
Last, but not least, the private hot tub! This hot tub will be private for your use during your stay, no other guests will be using it. It accommodates 4-6 people and is a great place to watch the sunset!
Please note:
1. No pets allowed on our property.
2. No smoking anywhere on our property.
3. Our driveway is very steep and cemented all the way down. There are two parking spots at the cabin, but if you prefer, we have a gravel parking pad at the road, 100m past our driveway entrance. *During the winter season, we recommend parking at the road if the driveway or the conditions during your stay are icy and/or covered in snow.*
About our other accommodations and shared spaces:
The main house accommodates 4 private suites (Cypress Mountain Suite, Mount Strachan Suite, St. Mark’s Summit Suite, and David Peak Suite). Search each suite name for its listings and availability.
The suites range between 200 sq.ft to 250 sq.ft. Each suite has its own private exterior entrance, king/queen bed, private bathroom with rain shower, heated bathroom floor & heated towel rack, flat screen TV, dining area, and kitchenette. The suites have access to three outdoor lounge areas, a shared hot tub, a shared wood barrel sauna, a lawn games field and a staircase to the ocean. All suites have access to high speed wi-fi and Netflix.
There is a wood barrel sauna and outdoor shower down by the main house, which is shared between all the property guests.
The property offers a lawn games field (cornhole, bocce, and spike ball) with a communal BBQ above the main house parking lot for all guests to use and enjoy.
There is access to the ocean (no beach) using our wooden stairs down by the main house. Please use caution and use at your own risk. You can use the stairs between sunrise and sunset. If you plan on going swimming, the currents are very strong in our bay, so we recommend using life jackets.
There is a communal fire pit area above the lawn games field. This contained fire pit can be used by all property guests and each guest must provide their own firewood, kindling and lighter. You can bring your own wood or the General Store in Snug Cove sells firewood bundles. Use at your own risk, never leave your fire unattended, put out your fire when finished, and no fires during fire ban season.
Security Disclosure - Since we have 5 rentals on our property, we have four security cameras - all outdoors. One faces our driveway entrance gate, one faces down the driveway and the lawn games field, one faces our main house parking area, and one faces the oceanside shared lounge areas. They will be on during your stay.
Our family lives in the main house year-round and we look forward to meeting you!

- "The property is exactly as described, modern and exceptionally clean. It was perfect for 2 couples. Dom and Melissa left us to enjoy the cabin but were quick to respond when we required more coffee. They even provided us with a delicious bottle of red wine which we enjoyed with our steak that we BBQ’d on the deck. Our only complaint was the weather which was horrible but beyond anyones control. We will return when hopefully we can really explore Bowen Island without getting soaked."

Situated in Dorman Bay, our waterfront property is a fabulous location with incredible and expansive views to the North, East and South.

Each suite has its own private exterior entrance, king/queen bed, private bathroom with rain shower, heated bathroom floor & heated towel rack, flat screen TV, dining area, and kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee machine, kettle, dishes & utensils). Due to our business license, we're not allowed to provide a hot plate/stove in our suites. The suites have access to three outdoor lounge areas, a shared hot tub, a shared wood barrel sauna, outdoor shower, a lawn games field with BBQ, a staircase to the ocean, and a communal fire pit area. All suites have access to high speed wi-fi and Netflix.

If you plan on travelling to Bowen Island we highly recommend" - "This is a perfect choice if you are looking for a weekend getaway to Bowen Island. High recommend, look no further. Melissa and Dominic have an outstanding new property with breathtaking views. The pictures are exactly what you are going to expect. Melissa does a great job communicating with you before and during your stay. Everything you have questions about or want to know about things to do during your stay is covered in a binder. There are a total of 4 units and one cabin on the property, so if you are looking for seclusion, just be aware of that. - "We had the most peaceful stay we have had anywhere. Sitting in a hot tub with that view is a fantastic experience. Hosts are good at communicating and are proactive and thoughtful. Just the right amount of everything." - "This was just a beautiful property. The rooms were all new and updated with a beautiful bath. The check in/out process was easy and worry free. The island itself was so cute with tons of little shops, stores and restaurants. It was so relaxing to sit in the hot tube with the most amazing view as well as the sauna. If we could change one thing it would be that the room next to us ( St. Marks suite) was unoccupied the entire time we were there and definitely had the better views where you could see the ocean while laying in bed which we could not. When we first arrived we thought surely someone else will stay there but no-one ever came and since it was open we wish we could have stayed there. Nonetheless we had a fantastic time there and would go back in a heart beat."

- "Very comfortable stay. Especially since the other room was a family member " - "Contacting the owner was difficult. The internet and the tv did not work. I feel that the owner knew that there was a problem with the tv before we came because the technician when he was finally contacted by the owner told us that he had advised her that it needed service, but she did not bother to have it done. Very poor service indeed by the owner." - "This room was falsely advertised with no phone number..suggesting you have room 2. I arrived after midnight and could not find out how to get into the room in spite of using the code in panel "B"...not 2. It was a travellers nightmare. I had to travel to another motel and paid for an overnight stay in the North Vancouver Hotel at 2:30 am."

- "Love this place. Super spacious with wonderful amenities. Easy drive to DT Vancouver, parks and hikes. Neighborhood is georgeous with close proximity to the grocer. Thanks for an awesome stay." - "The house is amazing! The gardens are amazing! We were here for 5 nights and had a wonderful time in Vancouver and particularly West Vancouver. Close to mountain and water, couldn’t be better." - "We enjoyed this lovely home and the spacious accommodations. The beds were very comfortable and there were ample linens for our group of five. The host was generous with lots of staple items, soaps and toiletries. The gardens, flowers and plants were lovely and well tended. Our only negative was that the house was on a hillside with a very steep driveway and many interior steps. This was difficult for one family member who has mobility issues. While this is common architecture for the area, is wasn’t clear for this listing. If your group wants separate areas with 3 levels, this would be ideal. The location was perfect for our needs and the views were beautiful. Thank you to our host"

- "Before the trip was a night mare dealing with Vrbo, I accidentally entered an extra letter on my email and it took 6 reps to try and short out fixing that, waiting and not even knowing if we still had the place due to all the confusion was fusteration, not receiving phone calls back when I was told I would besides that the place was in a Perfect location for what we did. Spend a couple night at horse shoe bay and did a day trip to Whistler and a day trip to the Sunshine Coast Home owner was easy to deal with and always contacted us back right away. The room was really big , and lots of storage for our things "
