Starlight Poolside ~ 1 bedroom suite

The Starlight Poolside is a stylish suite in the lower level of my detached house in Coquitlam's Ranch Park area. The oversized sliding doors overlook the pool area. It is peaceful to look out on, and there are sheers to allow privacy if wished. The area is a great hub for all lower mainland attractions.
Many enjoy poolside time before or after a day of sightseeing. POOL IS OPEN JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER. The outdoor area has a table/chairs, barbeque and 2 lounger chairs allocated for the poolside suite. The pool is heated and ready for use June through September. There is no fencing between the entrance door and the pool, and there are side yard stairs to the entrance from the gravel driveway. The poolside suite is not suitable for children, or people unable to climb stairs for these reasons.

Inside the newly built suite, you will notice the open floorplan, quartz countertop eating bar area, microwave, induction cooktop, and a large Breville toaster oven. (There is no stove/oven) There are plenty of dishes and cooking utensils available.
The gorgeous floor to ceiling tile spa-like bathroom has a nice soaker tub for the needed evening relaxation! Dim down the crystal lights! Large sliders open to the pool deck, for a tranquil view. No need to think about bringing towels, pool towels, soap, shampoo, etc...as all are provided here.
The bedroom has a large king bed, which can be split and I can make into 2 twin xl beds! Let me know ahead of time. The mattresses are super comfortable, and guests have said that the suite is very quiet! Nice. The 'safe and sound insulation' that I put in works!
Wifi and Netflix are provided, along with cable channels, which can be watched on the 32" flat screen tv.
There could be others in the backyard at the same time as you. Times in the pool can be put on a sign up board, so private pool time can be enjoyed easily. The pool is open and heated June through September.
At the end of my street, Starlight Way, is a bus stop which will bring you down to the Coquitlam Centre Mall and Evergreen Line (skytrain). If you drive, it is 5 minutes away. Walking maybe 15-20 minutes, but longer coming back as I am on a hill! You may wish to take a quick cab ride up, or take the transit bus. The skytrain or the West Coast Express train will take you right into Vancouver. Both are a great way to travel.
Coquitlam is about a 20 minute drive to Vancouver. Maybe 30 minutes right to downtown, providing traffic is good.
There are many lakes, and hiking trails around. If you wish to be out for a bbq in the park, let me know. I can provide you with a cooler, ice packs and a bbq for your pleasure!

The space
This private suite in a large newer house at the end of a cul de sac has its own entrance from the back patio and high ceilings. The large bedroom has a queen sized bed, 55" Samsung QLED TV with cable and streaming apps, small fridge with freezer, microwave, wardrobe and working desk.

The spacious bathroom has a stone countertop, large shower and a toilet with built-in bidet. The house is located ~5 minute walk from the Burquitlam Skytrain Station, and is very close to SFU & Hwy 1. One of us (the university teacher) used to live in Greece and there is a Santorini theme to the suite in the wall art.

There is a private entrance off the back patio, and we will message you the keycode to the electronic lock before check-in.

As we are near a Skytrain station, there is construction in the neighborhood (for new condo developments) including on our street. This is common throughout the Vancouver area as cities promote densification near transit hubs. Construction noises or momentary traffic disruptions in the area's streets are intermittent and unpredictable. You can go through our reviews to find out what guests feel about their experience at our property.

Other things to note
Please park on the LEFT SIDE of the driveway. There is a path along the left side of the house with two gates, one wooden and one metal. The latch for each is on the opposite side as you approach the yard. Make sure you close each gate as we have a dog.

Please mind the basement light well with the orange pylons and yellow tape, and also the single step down towards the backyard.

The suite is off the large concrete back patio (a few steps up), to the right as you face the backside of the house. You'll see an electronic keypad to the suite door.

If you are driving, there may sometimes be temporary blockage of the streets in the area due to construction.

As needed we are happy to give advice, suggestions on area amenities, local attractions and best routes of travel.

We also include the guest manual which stays with the suite, its a guide for alarm & door access, how to use the recycling bins, a directory of local grocery & mall shopping, entertainment, local restaurant menus, a list of emergency clinics, dentists & hospital information. We leave local newspapers & community information for you whenever available.

Fully self-contained, private suite and private patio exclusive for the registered guests. We do not show the suite in advance of a booking as this goes against safety policies.

No other guests are permitted on the property due to liability reasons, our Airbnb host guarantee and protection only covers us for registered guests.

Other things to note
All Infants and Children pay the same as adults.
children from 12 > are considered adults.

Both infants and children have to be separately stated/disclosed in the booking. Guest shouldn't book for 4 adults if there are 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant for example.
Leave the suite in the same condition you found it.

If you want to bring your own kitchen equipment this is not the place for you. We have had several guests do this and it caused alot of confusion and loss, with trying to remember who owned what. Please know that we provide almost everything you would need. If there is something reasonable that we don't have we will consider buying it.

Do not remove any of the property in the suite, don't rearrange the furniture and keep the apartment clean. Rent includes mandatory basic monthly cleaning, does not include washing dishes.

Ensure all dishes are washed and dispose of all unwanted/unused grocery items before you move out.

We have a firm checkout of 11:00 am to allow for turnover of the suite the same day to the next guests who check in at 5:00 pm.
