- "David was super quick to respond. Place was great! Spacious, perfect for a family. Walk to everything. We would stay there again!" - "The property itself was fine and the rooms were nice. It was in a good location, close to restaurants and the town lift. Dealing with the host David Zwald, however, was a horrible experience. He advertised the room as a two bedroom suite with a king bed in one bedroom, and 2 queens in the other. We area family of four with two teenagers, so having the two queen beds was an important requirement for me. I even contacted him prior to our stay and he confirmed there were two queen beds in one of the bedrooms. When we arrived, there was a king bed in both bedrooms, and the spare bed was a pullout couch. When I contacted the front desk they said that they do not have any rooms with 2 queen beds on their property. When I contacted David to make him aware of the situation, he said he was surprised and that the hotel must have been remodeled. I asked him for a credit since the unit was falsely advertised as having 2 queen beds. He told me he would offer me a $100 credit for a 4 night stay. I told him I thought a 10% credit (about $200) would be more fair, but that I would accept the $100 if that's all he was willing to offer. Then about a week after checking out I still had not received the credit, so I contacted him again. He responded and told me he was not going to provide the credit for the room. His exact words were, "I am not of a mind to piss away $100, for what?" He actually told me I was partially to blame for the issue because I should have called the Marriott to confirm the bedding arrangement, and accused me of trying to "shake him down". What? Are you kidding me? After his response I contacted the Marriott Summit Watch and asked them if they had remodeled, or if they ever offered 2 queen beds in any of their rooms, and they said no. They said all of their rooms have always had one king bed and one pullout couch in each unit ever since they opened. So, David falsely advertised the sleeping arrangement, and then lied about offering a credit. He is a very dishonest person. It is apparent that the only thing he cares about is getting his money. It is unfortunate, because hosts like David are ruining the VRBO experience, and people will no longer feel comfortable booking through the site in good faith if VRBO allows hosts like this to abuse their platform and their customers without any recourse."
