The O Story
Just 18 minutes from Downtown Palm Springs The O Spa is located in the heart of Desert Hot Springs “Spa City”. The thermal mineral waters at the O Spa were used by the Cahuilla Indians for over one thousand years and are unique as they are one of the few odorless thermal mineral springs in North America.

The Spa was originally constructed in 1952 but has been thoughtfully updated with modern amenities while retaining its original 1950’s character. The majestic San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains surround the resort and provide dramatic 270-degree mountain vistas.

The walled and private 4.5-acre grounds feature three natural mineral spring pools, an outdoor Turkish waterfall shower, a Pétanque court, and three private poolside cabanas. There's also a large, shade covered, yoga platform/stage (that is perfect for weddings, speaking engagements, musical performances and business presentations) as well as an outdoor dining area that seats up to 20, a gas BBQ, two fire pits and carefully selected indigenous landscaping and outdoor murals by Los Angeles Graffiti Artist John Mackie. There's also a secure 100ft ‘leash free’ dog run for our four-legged guests.

The common area kitchen/lounge (which all guests are free to use) is adjacent to the main pool and includes complimentary morning coffee, flexible seating for 30, and a fully stocked kitchen with cookware, tableware and utensils, ice maker, and a 200-volume library featuring design, architecture, fashion and art books.

The 13 private rooms, some with kitchenettes (sink, microwave, and mini fridge), feature a selection of high-quality King or Queen beds with luxurious European linens and each room is individually decorated with an eclectic selection of modern furniture, antiques, and art.

The entire O Spa is available for private parties, weddings, events, and photoshoots and can accommodate up to 48 people as overnight guests (two persons per bed) and events for up to 200 attendees.

ABOUT THE DESERT

If you have any questions, or just want ideas for things to do while visiting the desert (restaurants, golf, tennis, biking, architecture, shopping, Salton Sea or winery tours, photo safaris, etc.) please feel free to contact us as we can provide both general and ‘off the beaten path’ suggestions.

Downtown Palm Springs is about 18 minutes by car as are casinos, while the El Paseo shopping district is about 40 minutes. The massive Factory Outlet Mall is a 20-minute drive and Joshua Tree State Park is an easy (paved roads) 40-minute drive and is worth the trip if you have never visited the park. Taxis, Uber, Lyft, and car services are readily available. Shopping for essentials is nearby but may be beyond walking distance for most. Overall, a car would be best and free parking is available for all guests.

Events and Groups
The entire O Spa (all 13 Rooms and the 2-two-bedroom Casitas) are available at a group rate and can accommodate up to 48 overnight guests (two guests per room) and up to 200 people total depending on the event and set up. Group bookings will have exclusive access to all spa amenities, and we can help arrange for catering, beverage service, DJ’s, PA systems, seating, outdoor tents, etc. Just let us know what your needs are, and we will try to accommodate.

Cannabis Tours
This is a popular outing, and very fun, both for aficionados and those that are just curious about the growing industry, so advance notice is required.

Bi-Plane Tours
One or two person tours of the Valley in an authentic open cockpit Stearman Bi-Plane. A must for any aviation aficionado!

Off Road Desert Tours
Off road desert tours are available for both large and small groups.

Windmill Tours
Personalized tours of one of the largest renewable energy producing windmill farms in the world are available for both large and small groups – prices vary.

THINGS TO NOTE

Children
The O Spa is geared for adults 18 years or older, but children are welcome if you reserve the entire resort for family or corporate events.

Decorations
Any party decorations or banners (both in your room or on the grounds) need to be hung with removable adhesive hooks or low tack painters’ tape. No thumbtacks, Scotch tape or holes in the walls or ceilings please.

Furniture
If for any reason you need to move furniture it is your responsibility to move it back to its original location prior to check out. Please do not place lounge chairs or furniture on any of the synthetic turf as this can create irreparable damage to the grass.

Noise
We want our guests to have a good time and a memorable holiday but please do not create excessive noise or disturbances. A little consideration goes a long way and we ask you to please respect the other guests who may be staying at the Spa. Please keep voices, music and pool activities at a reasonable level. Our pool and spas are open 24 hours a day, but we do ask that if you choose to be outside after 10pm, please be considerate of the other guests and use indoor voices.

Nudity
Topless sunbathing and swimming are acceptable but please use appropriate cover ups when using common areas of the spa. We are progressive and mature, but the O Spa is not a ‘nudist resort’.

Occupancy/Parties/Events
Maximum occupancy is two persons per room. If you would like to invite more guests for parties, events or photo shoots additional fees may apply, and pre-approved arrangements are required and all requests for parties, events or photo shoots must include the total number of guests and be made in advance.

Parking
We offer plenty of free parking both in front of the Spa and in our parking lot.

Pets
Well behaved, socialized pets are welcome (in some but not all of our rooms) but we do ask that you immediately clean up after them and make sure they don't damage any furniture, etc. Pets are not allowed in the pool or spa or on the synthetic turf and must remain on leashes and be supervised at all times while on the grounds except when using the dog run which is a “leash free” area. Please be considerate of our other guests and do not leave any pet that may suffer from “separation anxiety” unattended. The limit is two pets per room unless prior arrangements have been made. The owners of any pet(s) that we deem aggressive (aggression to humans or other animals) or noisy pets will be asked to remove the animal(s) from the property immediately and by accepting your reservation you agree that this determination will be made by the management of the Spa.

Smoking
All of our properties are Cannabis friendly, but all smoking rules apply. Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas only, vaping is ok both outdoors and indoors, but as a courtesy to our other guests (and in good taste) please do not bring any large paraphernalia (plug in vapes, water pipes, etc.) outside.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
We are accommodating, easy going and hope that you are as well. By accepting your reservation, you agree to abide by all Resort rules and acknowledge that all damages, losses or fines incurred during your stay, including those caused by individuals or pets that were invited or given access to the property are your responsibility.

Guest access
Guests will have complete access to all common areas of the Resort.

Other things to note
We also manage several other 5 star rated properties with rates that range from $69 to over $3000 per night and can arrange accommodation for larger groups or corporate retreats at a discount. We also have several luxury homes in the Palm Springs area and cabins available in both Yucca Valley and Idyllwild that we offer at a discount to our guests in the event that you want to do an overnight excursion to Palm Springs, Joshua Tree State Park or the local Mountains.
