- "In just one word - Amazing!! Thank you so much for a wonderful family vacation…" - "The Welk is located 30 minutes from the beach and in the midst of the mountains. It is lovely. The actual condo is a good size for two families. Furniture and appliances are showing their age, though. Pools are nice, but can get very crowded. Loved the farmer's market! Will definitely consider staying there again."

Location: Wild Animal Park is 10 minutes, 1.5-2 hours to Disneyland, 1 hour to San Diego Zoo and Sea World, 25 min to beach. Stone Brewery is 5-10 minutes away and Temecula (wine-tasting) is not far either.

- "The Hyatt Welk resort has tons of pools spread out across the expansive property. Some that are very toddler/baby friendly. Each pool area neighbors a community center, most of which have some kind of games or recreation inside (e.g., pool and foosball tables, one has an arcade, one has an Xbox area and a baby/toddler play room). The property has daily activities for kids (tie-dye, slime making, etc), some days have live music, and a farmer's market. On site, you can also find a few restaurants and a market. The rental unit itself was excellent. Inside was very nice. The location was also great---just a 2 minute walk to a pool. We came with 4 kids (2, 6, 12, 15), and each had activities and areas suited to their age, and all had a wonderful time."

Therefore, it's advisable to book quickly after receiving pre-approval to secure your dates.

If the names differ, Welk Resorts requires a name change, which incurs a $50 fee. Please make any necessary name changes prior to your arrival.

Check-in is handled directly at the resort, not with the host. Please have a copy of your Welk Resorts Accommodation Certificate readily available at check-in. The resort requires the reserving guest to be at least 21 years of age, present a valid major credit card, and a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license, passport, or visa) at the time of check-in.

You may be invited to attend a presentation at the Hyatt Vacation Club at Welk Resorts; attendance is entirely optional.

Smokers – Hyatt Vacation Club at Lawrence Welk Resorts is a typical California Elite Resort - it is a nonsmoking resort. Smoking is allowed outdoor at designated area.

RESERVATION: Reservation must be at least 7 business days ahead of your stay date and it is based on the resort availability. Reservation must be made Monday to Friday. For reservations, please provide your name as it appears on a valid ID BEFORE booking. An accommodation certificate from Welk Resort will be submitted to you after booking within 1 to 2 days. If your name on the booked reservation listed on VRBO is different than on the Welk Resort
Accommodation Certificate, Welk Resort requires a name change. There is an additional $50 fee for a name change and this should be done before your arrival.

Please note that Welk Resort’s cancellation policy requires that any cancellation must be within 24 hours of booking. Please do not make this reservation if you have any uncertainties regarding the dates of your stay.

The Welk is nestled on 450 acres in the hills of Escondido. Make a splash in one of eight swimming pools, tee off on two golf courses, and enjoy family games in the sports yard. Treat yourself to a pampering massage at the on-site spa, and grab a bite at multiple on-site eateries. The San Diego area’s banner attractions, includes the San Diego Zoo and Temecula wineries, are just a short drive away.
