- "Stayed in a room with two queen beds on the ground floor of the kids section. It was spacious for a family of 4, quiet and convenient. The room was musty but we brought an air freshener and moisture traps to help with the humidity. The staff at the resort are top notch from lobby to bar to entertainment team. Everyone who works there works hard and are eager to help. The beach and grounds are tended to regularly and we saw a crew of twenty in the mornings to pick up trash from the day before by hand along the beach. There are plenty of food options all day so you won’t get hungry or bored with the selection. We tipped at every meal, multiple times a day at the bars and every day for the maids. All were appreciated. "

We booked a swim suite and it was the best decision we've ever made, as we made the best of our swim up since we arrived. - "WE just returned from our stay at Paraiso de la Bonita Sept 16-21, celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. This place is absolutely amazing! We took advantage of the 4th night free promotion and stayed in one of the suites w/plunge pool. The suite was absolutely beautiful. There was one small hiccup: on our 4th day there we woke up to a horribl stench permeating the room. It turns out the exhaust for the sewage wasn't working. We alerted the front desk, and the concierge recommended we go have breakfast while they send maintenance in to investigate. After breakfast we stayed out on the beach for about 2 hours and then returned to our room. We were pleased to find the smell replaced by a very pleasant, clean odor, the bed made, our clothes neatly folded and stacked...they did a wonderful job in addressing the issue! Other than that one problem, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The service was outstanding. The food, though quite pricey, was very good. The pool was beautiful; although I was a bit disappointed in the beach. A lot of seaweed and rocks, you really could not go into the water because of it. But believe me, everything else more than makes up for it!"

- "Clean and friendly staff!" - "The staff at El Cid were outstanding- particularly the wait staff at bars (Liz in the lobby and Carlos at the adult pool), housekeeping and room service. As non time share holders it was frustrating making dinner reservations at 5 or 9pm, but we found ways to work with it. I did really appreciate that this resort did not push the time share, and there was very little selling going on- every day spa staff would inquire about massages or services at the pool, and occasionally someone would walk along beach selling hats etc, but nothing like other areas we have stayed. It was very relaxing and peaceful- not being bothered!"

- "Very beautiful " - "Great stay!" - "Clean facilities. Relatively modern. Very friendly staff. Anyone complaining about bad service is the problem themselves. No it’s not a high end luxury hotel but everything is as it should be. Beaches are quite nice, they maintain fairly well. Ofcourse a few rocky sections but plenty of clean soft white sand through the 5 resort chain. The food is acceptable, the nicer a-la-carte restaurants are better, the buffets are nothing to write home about but totally fine. Lots of selection. Facilities at the palace are nice, including covered, open air seating eating areas. Some of the rooms can be a longer walk depending on how much you want to pay but lovely walks, lots of beautiful vegetation, flowers etc. the one thing I found a bit goofy was distance to bathrooms from the beach at the palace more specifically. But they are always very clean bathroom. Very impressed with facility cleanliness overall and staff friendliness. There are activities offered from within the facility, some are paid, some aren’t. Anywhere you stay in Mexico is going to have paid services for any off-resort activities, but this all inclusive does a great job. If we didn’t go somewhere new every time we travel, I would absolutely go back."

I would suggest making vacationers aware that water shoes are advised because of the rocks as you enter the water. However once away from the beach the water was clear and rock-free. We loved the trolley service taking you to and from the rooms to the lobby and beach. They were very frequent and plentiful. Overall I thoroughly recommend this resort for families and couples. "
