Maybe it’s partly because my Dad was a Greek sea captain, but we quickly felt “at home.” With that, we found this hotel to have a warm and welcoming energy, largely in part to John’s caring demeanor. He checked us in both times (when we arrived). It was lovely to be greeted and cared for, by such a kind person. And Vlad gave us a parting gift in the form of a big smile the next day! We appreciate the staff there who helped to make our stay special. Also, the continental breakfast is simple yet delightful. While, tbh, I’d enjoy a non-egg protein option (maybe a bowl of almonds and walnuts or something like that?), it sure beats the basic coffee and carbs offered by some establishments. Lastly, we found our rooms (both were on the second floor facing toward the “pool side” of the hotel), to be quiet — which was a needed respite from city living. We also appreciated the view into an open marsh on the backside of the hotel, which provided our eyes and minds with a replenishing mental health break. Our guests love our Immaculate 3-bedroom cape in the desirable Fairfield Beach Area neighborhood with an easy walk (under 5 minutes) to the beach and walking distance to train and downtown with local shops and restaurants. This home has just been beautifully updated to the highest standard and has all modern amenities. • No Parties or Events: To maintain a peaceful environment, parties and events are not permitted on the property.
• Guest Age Requirements: The primary guest making the booking should be at least 25 years old. Guests under 25 are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
• Unauthorized Activities: Engaging in illegal activities or hosting unauthorized gatherings will result in immediate eviction without refund.
• Registered Guests Only: Only the specified number of guests approved at the time of booking are allowed on the premises. Any changes must be approved by the host before your arrival.
• Overstay Fees: Unauthorized late check-outs will incur a fee of $100 per hour for up to 2 hours, after which a $1,000 daily fee will apply.
• Forgotten Items: Items left behind and requiring mailing will incur a $50 handling fee plus shipping costs.
• Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours beginning at 10:00 PM. Excessive noise may result in eviction without refund.
• ID Verification: The host may request IDs from all guests. If this is requested, you will be required to provide them before arrival, or you will not be allowed to stay without a refund.
• Yard Maintenance: Guests are responsible for cleaning up any garbage in the yard each night to avoid excessive cleanup fees.
• Thermostat Settings: Thermostats are set between 68-72°F (20-22°C). Please plan accordingly and dress comfortably.

Fancy a vacay on a large lot with two homes on a meadow with in-ground pool, spa, outdoor kitchen (+a pizza oven) in a tranquil setting, walking distance to beach, restaurants, shops and railway! Our big, main, barn-house has an extra large, wood burning fireplace across from an extra large TV and couch pile. It is stylish with a chefs kitchen, ample sitting spaces and comfy beds. The duplex guesthouse is across the pool and has its own separate bedroom, living, full bath, kitchen+. 60m to NYC. You enter the drive and are greeted with a large driveway tucked next to the extra large outdoor entertaining area. Ample outdoor furniture including an outdoor dining table, an outdoor fire pit with Adriatic chairs, pool loungers that you can lie around the pool and tan, as well as some outdoor egg chairs that fit two people easily. We have a fancy outdoor kitchen with sink and pizza oven (must use manual and take care using). The yard is extra large and you can easily walk play a game of paddle board in the backyard. We have an outdoor shower as well as pine, wood fire hot tub, on top of the jacuzzi attached to the pool so there's plenty of ways to relax

Walking into the main house, through the back entrance that overlooks the pool, you find yourself in an architecturally striking large barn with a spiral staircase. Inside, a 6 couch arrangement sits between a grand, walk-in fireplace and an extra-large, flat- screen, TV, books & boardgames, waiting for you and your guests!

Walking around, a 12 person dining table (extra chairs available in house) , antique mirror, multiple sitting areas, with big Alexa speakers (so you can play the music what you want).

The living area walks into a large French kitchen, with all the appliances and utensils you need, including a 6 burner wolf blass stove, 2 ovens, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge, kitchen aid, a blender, nespresso machine and kurig coffee machine. Plates, utensils, and wine glasses for over 20 people. We have all the barbecue utensils as well. You can use our fancy cocktail glasses but if you break one please report it to us to replace.

Both the kitchen and the main house open up with double doors to a large outdoor patio with sitting area that stretches to the back of the house and onto an open meadow. Across the pool you find the second home which I'll get to describing shortly.

Inside the main house, the main bedroom is located on the ground floor, with wireless phone chargers and a large, sunlit bath with double sinks a large soaking tub and steam room shower. The rest of the bedrooms are spread out around the house:

On one end, and up another stairway are two large and bright bedrooms, each with a skylight and closet, sharing a private bath with shower. One has a king sized bed and other has two queen size bed, and a sitting area.

On the other side are two more bedrooms on the opposite sides of the barn (with doors) that share a full bath through one of the bedrooms. One is extra large with A frame windows that look out to the stars, and has it's own work area and sitting room. We also have a half bath, powder room near the kitchen and a laundry room downstairs that you are welcome to use.

The second home is across the pool and right next to a beautiful meadow. You can enter from either side of the house, into the lower level mudroom and laundry area, or to the upstairs open kitchen. The living room flows on from the kitchen and includes a cozy workspace, corner couch and flat screen TV. A big bright bedroom has a kingsized bed, sitting area and overlooks the pool. A large marble bathroom in the second house makes the smaller house extra lux!

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the treehouse, including all rooms. A few storage areas are locked for supplies. Shared amenities in the building include a lounge area on the second floor, a conference room for meetings (request prior to use), and an outdoor patio with a dining area and herb garden.

The Neighborhood:
Nestled between Wilton, Westport, and Norwalk, this treehouse offers privacy and easy access to everything you’ll need. You’ll be near top dining spots, scenic parks, and cultural landmarks, including the Westport Country Playhouse and Sherwood Island State Park.

Getting Around:
Easily accessible by car, the treehouse is just off Route 7. Downtown Westport and Norwalk are both a short drive away, and there’s parking for two cars in the back lot.

Other Things to Note:
The treehouse is not actually in a tree! :) It is decorated with wood beams, swings and vines which is how we named it as such.

Visit local restaurants, attend concerts on the green, tennis, golfing, biking, dining, museums and shopping just 5 minutes from your door in downtown Fairfield. Metro North train service to Manhattan, easy access to I-95 and 1 hour drive from Manhattan.

We were so fortunate to find this house and enjoy it AND our hosts."

Walk out your sliding glass door to sand and water, beach walks, swimming, or fishing 10 steps from your back door. Expansive views of the Long Island Sound, with 23' boat dock available. This is waterfront living at its best. Close to restaurants, theatre, live music, and commuter train station to NYC. BBQ grill and all outdoor beach furniture and umbrellas provided. Summer living doesn’t get any better than this!

This 5 bedroom home has 2 full bathrooms and a walk in closet. Two decks on the beach level, and the one off one of the two waterfront bedrooms, looks out over the long island sound and Penfield Light House. Enough outdoor seating to accommodate large families or parties, along with a ping pong table right out the back door on the sandy bulkhead. Bedrooms have two queen sized beds, and twin beds in each of the other 3 bedrooms. Work spaces/desks and WIFI provided. Large open concept living/dining/kitchen area with water views constitute the main living space, other than an outdoor covered deck and open sand sitting area. Parking for 5-6 cars.

The space
PLEASE READ COMPLETELY BEFORE BOOKING
Welcome to a 1900 farm house where the street is named after the original owner. The street Davis Road is named for Muriel B. Davis the owner of a large apple orchard which has been replaced by a neighborhood of homes. Unfortunately there were no apple trees left when I moved into the house so I planted some, a Granny Smith and a Macoun Apple tree as well as a Bartlett pear tree. All seem to be doing well. The neighborhood is very quiet w an occasional fire truck wizzing by.
A short 3-4 block walk will bring you to a brick oven pizza carry out, a breakfast /lunch soup and sandwich shop, wine & liquor store, a beauty shop and Chinese takeout. On the way you will pass a small park w baseball diamond, play equipment, tennis court and a duck pond.
Walking in the opposite direction, a 15 min walk will bring you to Lake Mohegan with walking trails, streams w bolder outcrops where water cascades through. A bridge with seats crosses over the stream for meditative reflection. Summer or winter it’s a beautiful excursion.
Within one mile There is a branch library and Jr High School with more tennis courts and huge field for soccer, kite flying, or whatever. A golf course that is open to public and in 1.75 mi. There is a high school with outdoor exercise gizmos and a track. Add to that TraderJoes, grocery, ethnic food establishments, from gluten-free to vegan, gifts and clothing stores and that does not include a large shopping mall that is a 10 min drive away. Don’t forget we have a shoreline and several beaches (auto restricted to residents from Memorial Day to Labor Day. But u can walk in or ride a bike in no problem so bring a bike if u drive. Fairfield has two train stations for convenience , Fairfield (downtown) and Fairfield Metro.

Please note that it is an old house that has an occasional squeaky floor board, antique-ish style furnishings and some colors may be a mix of the 50's or 80's. It is a vintage house, it's almost like going home to Mom's or Grandma's depending how you look at it!! I think it's more like an adult hostel experience. Not a flashy ultra modern decor just clean & quiet.

Although the whole house is not air conditioned, the bedrooms are air conditioned. Units go in around end of June or beg. July through end of September. An all house attic fan is used Spring and Fall to pull in cool fresh air at night. All rooms have ceiling fans.

Welcome to a 1900 farm house where the street is named after the original owner. The street Davis Road is named for Muriel B. Davis the owner of a large apple orchard which has been replaced by a neighborhood of homes. Unfortunately there were no apple trees left when I moved into the house so I planted some, a Granny Smith and a Macoun Apple tree as well as a Bartlett pear tree. All seem to be doing well. The neighborhood is very quiet w an occasional fire truck wizzing by.
A short 3-4 block walk will bring you to a brick oven pizza carry out, a breakfast /lunch soup and sandwich shop, wine & liquor store, a beauty shop and Chinese takeout. On the way you will pass a small park w baseball diamond, play equipment, tennis court and a duck pond.
Walking in the opposite direction a 15 min walk will bring you to Lake Mohegan with walking trails, streams w bolder outcrops where water cascades through. A bridge with seats crosses over the stream for meditative reflection. Summer or winter it’s a beautiful excursion.
Within one mile There is a branch library and Jr High School with more tennis courts and huge field for soccer, kite flying,or whatever. A golf course that is open to public and in 1.75 mi. There is a high school with outdoor exercise gizmos and a track. Add to that TraderJoes, grocery, ethnic food establishments, from gluten-free to vegan, gifts and clothing stores and that does not include a large shopping mall that is a 10 min drive away. Don’t forget we have a shoreline and several beaches( auto restricted to residents from Memorial Day to Labor Day. But u can walk in or ride a bike in no problem so bring a bike if u drive. Fairfield has two train stations for convenience.

Please note that it is an old house that has an occasional squeaky floor boards, antique-ish style furnishings and some colors may be a mix of the 50's or 80's. It is a vintage house, it's almost like going home to Mom's or Grandma's depending how you look at it!! I think it's more like an adult hostel experience. Not a flashy ultra modern decor just clean & quiet.

The suite is on the middle floor of our three floor home. There is a suite for guests in each floor, each with a private entrance. We would appreciate your consideration of other guests in the house; please see house rules for quiet times, etc.

Some guests have asked about turning on the garbage disposal. The switch is just inside the right side door under the sink.

Others have asked about waste disposal: the trash is under the left side door under the sink and the recyclables are in an old Amazon "Fresh" container (it's green and I don't mean that just metaphorically!).
