Basic kitchen facilities are also available (small microwave, good size new fridge, jug, toaster).

If both rooms are taken, the area is very suitable for a family of 4 or 2 couples interested in a farm stay type short stay. The property consists of 100 acres; 16 acres of vines and the remainder is grazed by sheep. A majestic lake used for irrigation exists along the creek and koalas often roam through the manna gums.

The cellar door has been placed in the end of one of the original farm sheds and was part of the Winery. It is open most days & offers home made cakes, "Roxborough” locally roasted espresso coffee, "Tea Blossom" Teas, local "Simply Tea" teas and numerous local produce including a range of local wines. Pierrepoint Cellar Door has a north easterly aspect capturing the sunshine and overlooking the numerous breeds of poultry wandering amongst the vines. Picnics can be ordered in advance and either enjoyed anywhere on the property.

To the south of the homestead, Mt Napier appears on the horizon beyond the Muddy Creek valley and productive farming land.

The Tarrington area is a picturesque, undulating landscape. The township named as Hochkirch by its German founders in 1853, changed its name to Tarrington in 1916 due to world events at the time. It has maintained a strong and proud German heritage.

The Grampians are only 30km starting at Dunkeld and we can also assist you to visit working farms as well, be it sheep, beef cattle or dairy. BUT, if you just want to kick back and relax then you can do this with our space as well as the unit is removed from the main home.

Yes, while you stay with us you can have access to BBQ , laundry and also our 20 acre property.
We are pretty flexible and have a dog so yours are welcome as well but are to remain out side the unit.

The recently restored cottage, has been in the family since the 1920’s. It’s been brought back to the life, still maintaining it’s historical features which make it cosy and homely, the ideal place for you to have an escape .

The space
Recently restored 1920’s cottage! With the original wood panel walls, timber and pressed metal ceilings adding to the charm of the three bedrooms, large lounge and full sized kitchen.

You won’t need to pack the kitchen sink as we have everything covered, coffee machine, air fryer, full sized oven and fridge, pots and pans, glassware ect.

All rooms have heating and fans, including a reverse cycle a/c in lounge room. There is a working laundry and freshly painted bathroom.

The main and second bedrooms both have queen beds, with the third having a double/single bunk option.

Small pets welcome, and considered when booking.

You have the entire cottage and surrounds to yourself. This includes the use of the entire home, garage, lawned areas, and garden within the fenced home property. The outer property is a working farm so is not accessible .

Silverburn Cottage is a gorgeous, self-contained cottage on 2 acres of gardens within Hamilton township. Luxury linen, Nespresso machine, aircon, heating, full laundry facilities all within a beautifully decorated interior. The cottage has total privacy and overlooks the golf course. There is a separate entrance and plenty of room for parking.

The space
Silverburn Cottage has 2 super comfortable queen size beds and an open plan dining lounge area. A fully equipped kitchen is provided for those wishing to cook.

We made the move from Melbourne to Hamilton to restore this beautiful property to its former glory. Glenrose was reborn into a light, bright and welcoming space, with a few modern touches. Our guests can relax, make memories with friends and family, as well as enjoy everything the Greater Western Districts has to offer.

The cottage is not a “party house”. Any guests who are found to have held parties will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
