- "We stayed in one of the new rooms on the first floor which was done to an absolutely beautiful standard, very modern, comfortable and luxurious. The room had a mini fridge, safe box, kettle, air con, bidet and the best shower I've ever used with mist, waterfall and handheld head. The bed was huge and probably the best I've slept on in a hotel. Breakfast was a huge offering including pastries, fruit, yoghurt, meat, cheese and some cooked elements (eggs, aubergine and, for some reason, chicken nuggets) and somebody attentive was on hand to serve drinks/keep things stocked and tidy. Freshly pressed orange juice was a lovely treat! When we arrived, the lady on reception annotated a map and recommended some restaurants for us before guiding us to our room. Somebody was on hand if we needed help. Short 5 min walk from the Trevi fountain, maybe 10 mins to the Pantheon and slightly longer but still manageable to the Colosseum. Vatican city is walkable but the hotel recommended 5 stops on the Metro. If you enjoy weird art made ofdead monk skeletons, you're only 2 mins from the Capuchin Crypt. If we were to be fussy, & for the sake of a full review, the only 2 things that would've improved our stay was some natural daylight (sadly even with curtains open the window was overlooking a dark area with metal window bars - but in the middle of a city so expected) and the light switches were both numerous and confusing with the electricity card reader lit all night."

The apartments are just a stone's throw from the Ottaviano Metro stop, with which you can reach easily and in a very short time the other important poles of the city. (Colosseum, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, Circus Maximus etc.).

There are several great restaurants in walking distance or short drive. The best experience was however with the host Lucio. Top notch guy who made amazing recommendations and even made reservations for secret gems there that only locals know about. The first bedroom features a king-size bed (67 inches wide by 79 inches long) and a large, comfortable twin sofa bed. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed and offers direct access to the terrace and the second bathroom through a French door.

All beds are equipped with orthopedic memory foam mattresses and additional toppers to ensure maximum comfort. Guests can choose between feather and memory foam pillows.

The first bathroom is accessible from the living room, while the second is en-suite to the second bedroom. Both bathrooms are fully stocked with essentials, including extra toilet paper, soap bars, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, cotton swabs, makeup removal pads, and a hairdryer.

The apartment will be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival, with all beds (including the sofa bed) fully prepared, complete with sheets, pillows, and blankets. Each guest will be provided with a full set of towels (large, medium, and small), and additional towel sets are available in each bathroom.

We found oustanding bottles of wine at the shop he sent us to and exquisite coffee, pastries and groceries for breakfast at home. Everywhere he sent us was perfect and friendly! What we appreciated: coffee pods, laundry & DW detergent, big bath sheets (towels), oil, sugar, salt & pepper, a nonstick pan (for eggs laid just days before), multiple sizes of mugs, dishes & utensils, endless hot water (on demand) for a daily soak in the tub, and the convenience of an elevator for my nearly 80 yo in-laws. It also had great natural lighting and a sweet inner balcony. The streets were just quiet enough to sleep with the windows open all night (late March). If you poke a head out of the window in the living area, you can see Pantheon. The taxi stand down the street (to the right of Pantheon if you face it) made for cheap excursions when my in-laws couldn't walk another step. The beds were a comfortable foam with down blankets. We really liked having USBs by the bed to stretch our plug adapters. Both bedrooms could accommodate CPAP machines. It is about 6 floors up. Location, location, location! I cannot wait to come back! Piazza Navona, Pantheon Largo di Torre Argentina, Piazza Venezia, Fori Imperiali and Colosseum are reachable on foot. The location was central- steps away from Campo di Flora, on a pedestrian street with nice shops and numerous restaurants within in a few blocks. We walked to all the major sites. The apartment had lovely linen and towels- and very clean. The beds were so comfortable. The lights were plentiful as natural light was limited but you don’t notice as the decorations and history in the space is nicely suited. It had everything you would need in the kitchen, we only used the kettle. Having two bathrooms was nice. Would definitely stay again."

The neighbourhood is the liveliest of the city and extremely crowded in the weekends. Beside shops, also very famous the Santa Maria in Trastevere church, known as one of the oldest Christian churches in Rome.

(Trust me, you are unlikely to be cooking in this apartment even though it is adequately stocked.) If you aren’t willing to climb out the windows of the upstairs bedroom onto a tiled terrace (with larger table and chair and umbrella for shade) you will find this apartment ‘too small’. The outdoor terrace atop this 4 flour walk-up is what makes it so special. The local is perfect. Many shops and dining opportunities along with other recommendations from your host, Alessio. At the end of your stay youare required to take any trash downstairs and a few blocks down the street to a the street to larger ‘city bins’. I found this task odd to be asked to do as you must also climb down those 76 steps with your luggage at visit’s end. That said, the terrace is what is magical about this property and your host, Alessio, is a very responsive owner and kind, too."

Located in a historic building a few steps from the Vatican City, as well as the spacious and welcoming guests can enjoy the coffee / tea room, where every afternoon our staff is available for tips and suggestions for your stay in Rome.

The living area with its sleeping area will be your room that, with discretion, I will only cross to get in and out of the house.
A hallway connects the living area to the kitchen and the hallway that gives access to the bathroom.
