From the communal pedestrian gate, 21 steps lead up to the lift or else you can continue up the stairs. The apartment is located on the second floor of an old 15th century building, on a single floor of 100 sq m. The entrance door opens into a small hallway that leads into the open-plan living room, with sofa, armchairs and dining area. Under a small loft in the living area (height 1.20 m) is a door leading to the double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub. On the left a small corridor leads to a second bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom. Communicating with the dining area is the kitchen, small but well equipped, and from here a few steps and a narrow corridor with windows lead to another room, used as a laundry. - "This apartment was absolutely perfect for our family! I was a little nervous because I don’t think it had any reviews, but so glad we picked this place. The neighborhood was perfect, equal distance between Colosseum and Vatican. Very close to Trevi, Spanish Steps, and Trastevere for dinners. Lots of places to eat around here with what seemed like locals speaking Italian. Main bedroom had a king bed and a bathroom. Second back bedroom has two twin beds perfect for our teens with a bathroom just outside. That bathroom has a shower vs the main one that has more of a bath. We all used the shower in the back bedroom every day but the bath was nice if you needed to soak your legs after long days of walking or if you have little kids. Kitchen was fully equipped with anything we need and there is a washer/dryer combo in laundry room. They thoughtfully give a couple dishwasher and washer tabs for a couple washes so you don’t have to buy a whole pack. I do wish the washer/dryer had some instructions, we had to translate and Google a couple videos, but I also didn’t send a message to ask as we figured it out after a few minutes, I’m sure they would’ve helped out. Paolo checked us in and out and was very kind, we got in very late our first night and he was super flexible with us. There is an elevator but it’s a little slow, so we used it to bring our bags up and down but just used the stairs daily. All in all, I will be saving this place to book in the future!"
