THE HOME

Escape to the lake with Waters Edge Jewel. This Tahoma condo features beautiful lake views, all the benefits of the Waters Edge HOA membership, and a prime location. The HOA includes a swimming pool (only open during summer), BBQ and picnic areas, waterfront lawn, private beach, and a dock offering access to the expansive shoreline - all just steps away from the front door of the condo (~50 yards). During the winter, you're just 2-miles away from Homewood Mountain Resort.

The thoughtful, well-appointed interior offers lots of space to relax and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. A cozy living room is furnished with comfortable seating gathered around a fireplace and SmartTV (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). WIFI is available throughout the home.

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a generous amount of counter space, and a built-in breakfast bar. When you are ready to dine over a home cooked meal, the dining table has seating for 6. Additionally, the unit has two decks, complete with a large outdoor table and gas grill, perfect for meals al fresco.

If you decide to move forward, please note that in addition to the cleaning fee, your service animal MUST be with you at all times (including when you leave our residence). - "What a great condo, perfectly appointed with all the necessities except the unit needs A/C or more fans! The kitchen/family room got impossibly hot. So hot that we had to run out to the hardware store and buy 2 big floor fans to help with the heat Luckily, Tahoe began to cool down from the 88 degree weather towards the middle of our vacation. Sure glad we got the fans though (something the owners might consider having since there are no fans in the kitchen or living room and the bedroom ceiling fans don’t cut it) because you have to lock up when you are at the beach or pier because of bears. You can’t leave the windows open when no one is inside the unit and it becomes like a furnace with everything closed up. That being said…the place is nicely remodeled with all the necessities. So close to the water and a nice view from the deck. We enjoyed biking and the teens went rock climbing. It’s close to so much and a really great rental. We would have appreciated some beach chairs (we had to get some of those too) in the unit like other places have and hand lotion like some other rentals have. We have stayed in a rental in Meek’s Bay and they provided kayaks and beach chairs. Something for the owners to think about. We would have left our fans for future guests but, my husband had the idea to use them to keep our garage cool so we brought them back with us. Thank you for sharing your rental with us!"

No matter what you desire to do in Tahoe, the area will provide.

Once you are done exploring Tahoe for the day, relax in front of the stone-brick fireplace with your friends or family in the open-concept living room or outside on the back patio which comes equipped with furniture and a BBQ. The home is well equipped with games, puzzles, flat screen TV's (not pictured), and a DVD player. So get cozy and gather around with some hot cocoa! The kitchen is well equipped with a slow cooker, Keurig coffee maker and a drip coffee pot, wine ware, blender, utensils, and much more.

This family owned- home is located in an upscale area in Chamberlands of the West Shore. On a quiet cul-de-sac and surrounded by pines, it is one block up from the Lake. Take a short walk or shuttle to the Chamberlands private beach, pool and tennis club and historical Chamber's Landing Bar. Very close to Obexers Market, Boat launch ramp and Boat Museum. During the summer, you have access to Chamberlands private beach, pool and tennis courts. Ride bikes to the beach or take the shuttle bus that conveniently runs all day. Access to Emerald Bay is just a short drive away. For winter guests,our home is located 5 minutes from Homewood Ski Resort and a short drive from Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. Olympic quality cross country trails are just a short drive away at Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park. Comfortable cabin in Tahoma on Tahoe's West Shore! Located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood, you can totally relax in this 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath cabin. Cruise on one of the two bikes provided, take a hike nearby, see the view from a kayak or challenge someone's mind with one of the many board games. Enjoy the perfect weather as you dine al fresco out back on the new paver patio, or stay inside to cozy up around the free-standing, wood-burning fireplace in the living room for those chilly nights.

Inside this "Old Tahoe" style, 2-story cabin, you will find all the basic amenities of a home away from home, including a full kitchen with a new electric range and oven, a countertop microwave, and plenty of cookware. The breakfast bar divides the well-stocked kitchen and the dining area and brings the total number of seats for dining up to 8. The open living room boasts a Smart TV for streaming entertainment powered by the home's WIFI.

Each of the two bedrooms upstairs offers both a Cal King and Twin bed but does not feel cramped in the least. The bathroom features a large vanity and a stand-up shower. The laundry area can be found outside the bathroom next to the back door. There's plenty of fun to be had while at the cabin or venture out to the HOA accessible beach or one of Tahoe's must-see places like Chamber's Landing just a short drive (or a longer bike ride) away!

Simply cross the street to reach Homewood's lifts or walk less than 100 yards to reach the marina. Start your day with a cold plunge in the lake, then relax in our steam shower.
We're also strategically located with numerous bike trails, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby.
Our property is unique because you can easily hop off the lifts and head straight to the lake without having to drive. You'll enjoy incredible views of the lake and mountains, as well as the convenience of being close to great restaurants, coffee shops, and outdoor adventures. Even if you decide to stay in and relax during your stay, our villa has everything you need, including a steam shower, a powerful jetted bathtub, heated floors, a chef's kitchen, paddleboards, board games, and more! You will have a very quiet pebble beach in front of the villa with access to a shared pier.

Boating and Water Activities:

Guests can rent a boat or jet ski through Homewood | SWA Watersports which is 100 yards from the property, or other north lake Tahoe boat rental companies. We do not provide buoys.

It has 3 full bedroom and bathrooms, a full kitchen and dining area, a loft with an additional bed, and a family room with breathtaking views of the lake. The first floor contains one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. The living room features a fireplace, high vaulted ceilings, heated floors, and dramatic views of Lake Tahoe. The second floor contains two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an enclosed washer and dryer. The third floor contains an open-loft with a queen bed.

BEAR PREVENTION POLICY
Please take these steps to prevent unwelcome bear visits:

- Don’t leave ANY windows or doors open on the first floor. Screens are not bear-proof. Lock the windows on the first floor at dusk and keep them locked all night. Windows on second and third floor can remain open at night for ventilation.
- Be sure to lock all 3 doors on the first floor every evening and through the night (bears are most active after dusk). Bears can easily open doors that are unlocked.
-Don’t leave food in cars. Bears will break in to get food.
-Don’t leave any garbage near the property and dispose of trash in nearby bear-proof designated receptacles (please be sure they close completely).
-Don’t leave pet food outside and don’t feed pets outside.
-Leave a radio or TV on when not at your property.
-Be dominant, not submissive, if a bear comes onto your property.
-Don’t stand there and take photos. The bear will think this behavior is okay.
-DO NOT FEED THE BEARS!

This 3 bedroom/1.5 bathroom vacation home is located in a great area for accessing both the beach and the slopes. You are only 7-minutes away from Sugar Pine Point Beach and just 5-minutes away from the Homewood Ski Resort.

The inside of this rental features an open floor plan. Visitors enter into a cozy living room furnished with comfortable seating options gathered around a Smart TV with cable, DVD player, and a wood-burning fireplace. All the TV's are Smart TV so watch your favorite Netflix and Hulu specials. WIFI is also readily equipped throughout the home for your entertainment.

The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances, a drip coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, and a slow cooker. The spacious counters also allow for extra prep and serving space. Enjoy slow mornings at home with your morning brew as you pack a delicious lunch to bring to the beach. Don’t forget to add your beverages to the fridge beforehand to have some refreshing drinks waiting when you get home! Beside the living room, enjoy the bar seating for 6 + 2 extra bar stools that can be added.

Due to COVID, there are changes in ski resort availabilities. Please make sure to check the ski resorts’ policies on reservations and tickets if you plan on hitting the slopes. We cannot provide refunds based on reservation inabilities at the ski resorts.

Come and enjoy this recently remodeled "Pet Friendly" Chalet in the heart of Chamberlands!

This is a truly unique home that exudes rustic charm along with modern appointments throughout. You'll love the open "shared space" concept with spacious loft sleeping areas surrounding the great room below. With a central Chamberlands location, easy level access and free shuttle to full beach, pool & tennis privileges (summer only), this house is perfect for couples, a group of friends or families alike! The house is very well equipped and can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests. Please note, however, that due to county ordinance, we’re only allowed to host up to 6 adults. Additional children under age 16 are welcome up to a max occupancy of 10.

The house was remodeled in 2019 and features a blend of natural wood and rock throughout. It has a very warm and cozy feeling to the house that is accentuated by the unique blend of traditional bedrooms along with open concept loft sleeping areas.

The bed configuration is as follows:

There are multiple flat screen TV’s located throughout the home including a double screen set up along with an Xbox and Play Station in the front gaming loft!

Guests have full access to the home, however there may be a locked closet or cupboard for owners items. We have local property manager engaged to help with any issues that may arise throughout your stay.

Chamberlands is a true gem to be discovered in Lake Tahoe. Located between Homewood and Tahoma on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, this neighborhood offers wonderful woodsy locations with many properties bordering on streams. There are approximately 300 homes in the Chamberlands subdivision, but only around 100 have access to the pool and tennis courts!

All homes have access to a private section of the beach and can use shuttle service for transportation from their homes to the beach. The shuttle departs every half hour on the hour beginning at 11am with the last regular run at 4:30pm. The shuttle operates daily from approximately July 1st – August 20th.

Chambers Landing Restaurant is a local’s favorite and located right next to the private beach area on the water. During the summer, offering an outdoor bar and grill during the day and open for fine dining in the evenings, Chambers Landing Restaurant has it all! The restaurant is open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Pull up and park your boat at the dock to enjoy all that Chambers Landing on the lovely West Shore is known for. A long wooden pier stretches out into the blue water with a small bar serving the famous “Chambers Crush”. A white sandy beach and supervised swimming area is perfect for enjoying a day with family or friends. The restaurant itself features wonderful Tahoe mountain ambiance and outstanding food. It's a short distance to the Chamberland's Shuttle to the lake where you can enjoy the private beach, pool and tennis during Summer. Full membership to the Chambers Landing Recreation Association (including Pool & Tennis access) included with this property.

While this house is “pet friendly”, all pets must be disclosed when booking and a non-refundable pet fee must be paid. Maximum 2 mid-size dogs per rental group (any others must be approved by host in advance). Guests agree to take full financial responsibility should there be any damage or additional cleaning required due to pets presence.

There is parking for 3 vehicles on the driveway and no spillover for additional cars. Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).

Summer access to Chamberlands Beach, Pool & Tennis is governed by the Chamberlands Board. It is generally a very family / guest friendly environment; however please note that some guest restrictions and / or capacity limitations may apply during busier summer days. Guest Access Cards will be located inside the property and must be returned upon departure. Any unreturned cards will result in a $100 replacement fee per card.

No outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).

Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.

Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked) whenever not present in the home. Important! Please make sure that all bungee cords are properly installed across all exterior doors / windows and turn on the system (light flashing) before departing. Failure to properly secure the home can put the home at risk and result in considerable damage if a bear enters the property.

The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).

The front entry door is somewhat exposed to the elements. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe some shoveling needed. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we also recommend traveling with a shovel in case needed while in route.

WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.

ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.

You’ll have the entire A-Frame cabin to yourself (1,260 square feet) including three sleeping areas (two bedrooms and one loft), two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living spaces. Spacious outdoor decks with gas bbq, hot tub, picnic table, benches, and Adirondack chairs!

You’ll have access to all parts of the cabin. There is a locked garage on the property that is not for guest access.

You’ll have your privacy and we are available to you for questions or concerns via text, phone or email. We have a very comprehensive guide book with how to operate various things in the house, local restaurants, bars, beaches, ski resorts, etc.

SECURITY CAMERAS:
We have 24/7 video/audio security cameras on the exterior of property. They are located on the front porch (facing the driveway and showing front porch and stairs), driveway, and back deck (facing our back door, does not have a view of the hot tub). These are security cameras focused on the entryways and designed to maintain privacy while enjoying our home.

GUESTS: Only the guests on the confirmed Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property / in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.

PET POLICY:
We are pet friendly for one well behaved dog with prior approval before your reservation. We ask that the dog not be left alone in the home for an extended period of time, kept off the furniture and beds, and that you bring your own dog bedding, and pick up after them outside. Cats are not permitted.

BEAR WIRE:
There are bears in Lake Tahoe and we have electric bear wire around the property to avoid break-ins. You’ll see electric wires at the windows and doors. Instructions to turn off the bear wire will be provided in your welcome letter.

PARKING: There is driveway parking for 4 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited per county ordinances.

CLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. excessive dishes, pet hair on the furniture/beds, etc)

PHOTO / VIDEO SHOOTS: Our home is not to be used for photo / video shoots without approval by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.

WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. Outdoor deck furniture is removed in advance of winter season to avoid damage. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway, and a shoveling service to clear pathways prior to your arrival. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between shoveling service and your arrival. Shoveling service is not provided mid-stay, however we do provide shovels and de-icing salt for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not completely cleared and only pathway access is maintained. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear both county roads and driveways. There is no street parking and please keep an eye out for the driveway plow to move vehicles to allow for full driveway clearing. As always, let us know your needs and we will work to make your stay wonderful! Thank you!

We are not responsible for Lake Tahoe weather changes / delays leading up to and during your reservation. In the event of a storm, our cancellation policy stands.
Please treat our home with care and respect as if it were your own. During your stay, please take extra care to not leave food out overnight or unnecessarily as there are bears in Lake Tahoe. Please take out any trash in supplied trash bags and place outside in the locked ‘bear box’ trash bin.

Check out is at 10am and our cleaning crew arrives promptly due to same day turnovers / check-ins. Please load the dishwasher and start the cycle. Please place any trash securely in the locked bear box out front (use the hanging key on the right side to open the door, and please remove the key from the keyhole once it's locked. Trash pickup is Wednesday morning). Please turn the heating down, lights off, fireplace off, and make sure doors are locked and bear wires activated.

While some may want to stick around the house and have a snow day at the property, perhaps others will want to venture out to the local ski spots like Northstar (20 miles away) and Alpine Meadows/Squaw Valley (11 miles away). - "The house is in a great location. We skied Palisades two days and it was only a 20 minutes drive. We enjoyed the house and the hot tub and are pretty tough so the issues I'm going to list here didn't really bother us. With the area receiving a very very large amount of snow 10 days prior it made for a wonderful setting. A mouse must have got into the house as we found some droppings along the edge of the carpet in the upstairs bedroom. The upstairs shower leaked through the floor and dripped out the ceiling of the downstairs on the first night so we couldn't use that shower for the remainder of the trip. The property information listed a garage door opener but we didn't find one and so I stressed that one of my kids had misplaced it and we would be charged. To date we haven't been charged. The sauna didn't work, I flipped the switch to turn on the sauna, which also turns on the garage light. When I turned on the sauna controls to set the temp the whole circuit tripped and we lost lights to the garage and the sauna. Overall no biggie for us. The upstairs carpet just needs a deep cleaning and they will need to figure out the water leak problem and the electrical problem."

- "I stayed for a month in March and was delighted to find the cabin was warmed and welcoming during my check-in. Heating is via a furnace and ceiling fan (to circulate air and cool the upstairs during summer) - note that the fan makes a small amount of noise, so if you are a light sleeper you may need ear plugs.The cabin is modern - with a well equipped cooking area, and a decent bathroom and shower.
