Not sure about the "resort fee" as there were no amenities - just some bikes and a pool at a sister hotel you would have to drive too (we did not). It is a short walk to the main street, but there are limited things to see and do and dining choices are few and far between - we did enjoy the walk on the recreation trail (Ojai Valley Trail) and found a couple of nice wine tasting spots in town (Ojai Vineyard and Majestic Oak).
