The space is cozy and warm and inviting you have a separate entrance in your own porch with area to sit or have food or write ir entertain. I don’t allow gas except for short periods of time and no one of course after 10 PM there is the occasional meal that I like to share which I would leave for you and there is a toaster, refrigerator, coffee, maker, and a microwave. There’s plenty of storage for clothes and hanging things up and also an open filing cabinet for you as you’re working. The space is also available to be rented on a daily basis but for a minimum of 30 days should you need an office downtown? This is appropriate. I do have a friendly dog however, occasionally he’s barking outside and the door that I use for your entrance is also something that accommodates his coming and going at timeswere two blocks from downtown and everything that Ojai has to offer. There is a shared bathroom with the owner myself and an area for you to put your own things as well. We were just need to coordinate use and that’s easy enough with the text or notes.

Very spacious, clean and all yours for your stay. Small fridge/freezer, desk for working, microwave, Ottoman that unfolds into an extra single bed. Pool can be used but we do not heat the pool or jacuzzi for guests, there is also no access to our fire pit. We are a family home so there is always a possibility of using the pool at the same time. Please NO PARTYING or EXCESSIVE NOISE OF ANY SORT, we live in a very quiet family oriented neighborhood...No leasing requests, NO EVENTS held here and NO COOKING or BBQing of any sort allowed on the property, please. Located just up the hill from Sprouts, Rite Aid, Ross, Big 5, Starbucks, St. Johns Hospital, and the Camarillo Library, this nice little retreat feels like you're getting out of the city, but has quick access to all the necessities and is a short drive to main attractions like the Camarillo Outlets, the state beaches and the 101 freeway. Spacious and clean, and there is a hot tub available during winter months and serene space.

The space
This is a studio above a three car garage. There is a laundry room and bathroom downstairs, kitchenette, living space and bed are upstairs. Property is on a flag lot and we have pets who reside on the premises.

Once you see the grey mail box with 450 on it, turn right and go all the way up to the big house in the back.

Guest access
Guests may use the back porch to sit under the pine trees, or enjoy the hot tub.

Other things to note
We have a dog named Maple 🍁. She is a puppy and still learning her manners. If she sees new people on our property she may run to you and bark to let us know you’re here, but she is very friendly and well socialized.

There are chickens and a rooster on the property.

Key to the guesthouse will be in a lockbox on the back porch by the door.

Hot tub will be available only during certain cooler months of the year. After each use, a capful of the Free and Clear should be put in the hot tub. More instructions will be provided in person if you would like to use it.

There is a set of four plates, utensils, bowls and cups. Several mugs, 2 wine glasses, measuring cups & spoons, mixing bowl, cheese grater, spatulas and bottle opener. One small pot and one small frying pan to use on the hot plate and a toaster oven with cookie sheet. A 4-cup coffee maker with filters, dish towels and wash cloths, salt and pepper.

We are in the middle of EVERYTHING! We are literally the middle of all the downtown maps (sometimes I have to open them extra-wide to find our street) and we have very friendly neighbors.

The Ojai Trolley ($1) has two stops within a block from the house and the Gold Coast Vista bus ($1.75 for adults) stops two blocks away, in case you would like to go to/from Ventura or the train station there.

Enjoy yourselves! Relax, park the car and leave it there for your whole stay! Let us know if you have any questions!

We enjoy visiting but respect your privacy :) There are animals on the property (small dog, lazy kitty and crazy kitty, and the chickens who will share eggs with you & eat your food scraps!) DOG OWNERS; your dog needs to get along with everyone. We work from home and while barking is part of life, it needs to be managed. Please scoop your poops and bag em and put them in the trash. Reactive/strong prey drive dogs not suggested as we have chickens and cats.

Downtown Ojai is a great place to live and we have a friendly, family oriented, creative neighborhood.

We are steps from both the Ojai Trolley and the Gold Coast Bus (and you can transfer from one to the other if you ask for a transfer ticket) as well as taxis, etc. Or rent bikes from the Mob shop!

This one bedroom guest house apartment is the second floor of a detached garage. It has windows all around, comfortable amenities, and is very close to some of the best wedding venues in the area.

The space
You'll enter down a long driveway and see the guest house on your right in the cul de sac. There is a staircase behind the front door that takes you up to the guest house. It is a open floorplan that feels very spacious. Windows on all sides allow for the most refreshing cross breeze to flow through the house and views of the farm and sunsets can't be beat.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook simple meals and we provide some goat milk and goat yogurt for you as well.

The bedroom has a queen bed, but we can provide an additional air mattress if necessary.

The shower is a bathtub shower.

The space has only a kitchenette equipped with microwave, induction hotplate, toaster and mini waffle iron, so it is only able to accommodate minimal meal prep.

Other things to note
Well stocked kitchenette with some cooking capabilities, but there is no stove so please be advised. Coffee, cream (dairy and non-dairy), a selection of teas, and breakfast cereals with milk provided. You will be welcomed with a nice bottle of local wine and Ojai Cookies. When using the hotplate please Please utilize the portable vent on the counter.
