Travel cot hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note, there is no bedding provided and the mattresses are folding, thin and firm and is provided by manufacturer. We require you to follow the safety instructions, which state not to use a secondary mattress or any padded bedding such as pillows or quilts. You must bring your own bedding (e.g infant sleep bags). Please contact reception for mattress dimensions should you require. For further information on safe sleeping in travel cots please refer to information available from sites such as the Lullaby Trust. Lodge bed was so uncomfortable but the cleanliness and facilities were up to a high standards.It would have been nice to have salt and pepper in the lodge as well as sugar sachets but only because we have had them in previous stays."

Hot Tub Information: Please note due to water change and maintenance your hot tub may not be up to the correct temperature when you first arrive. By using the hot tub you are agreeing to Darwin Escapes’ terms and conditions, and agreeing that you have read their hot tub safety information, found here.

Travel cot hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note, there is no bedding provided and the mattresses are folding, thin and firm and is provided by manufacturer. We require you to follow the safety instructions, which state not to use a secondary mattress or any padded bedding such as pillows or quilts. You must bring your own bedding (e.g infant sleep bags). Please contact reception for mattress dimensions should you require. For further information on safe sleeping in travel cots please refer to information available from sites such as the Lullaby Trust. IMPORTANT TRAVEL COT INFORMATION Manufacturers instructions are provided at the point of issue and cots are cleaned in line with these after each use. Please also be aware that travel cots may not fit in double/master bedrooms in selected units, please call reception on 01745 858 000 for more information if a cot is needed.

Buggies, hairdryers and ironing facilities: These can be pre-booked by contacting the reception team.

Pets: Please make sure that you have included your pet in your booking. If your pet is not included, Darwin Escapes will either relocate you to a pet-friendly lodge, if there is one available, or holds the right to refuse access to the resort. You may be liable for any charges incurred.

Resort Facilities: Talacre Beach’s facilities are currently working at a reduced capacity and pre-booking for any activities or food at the restaurant is essential.

The gym can be used by guests over 16 years of age, a questionnaire needs to be completed there is a £5 charge for the induction questionnaire and a £5 refundable deposit. The gym is open from 06:00 – 22:00

Arrival Information:Check-in is available from 16:00. If you are likely to arrive outside of normal work hours, to make your check in as smooth, quick and easy as possible, we’d like to request you call ahead for specific arrival information in advance. Hire of Travel Cots: Please request cots and highchairs at the booking stage. You will need to supply your own cot mattress and bedding as this is not included in the hire of travel cots. A £10 refundable deposit may be required on site. Unfortunately travel cots do not fit in any of the master bedrooms in the caravans. If both beds in the twin room are not being used, the resort may be able to remove a bed to create space for the travel cot. Please call to arrange if this is important to you.

Hot Tubs in Premier Lodges: Please be aware the hot tub may not be up to temperature when you first arrive due to water change and maintenance.

Additional Information: Please note towels are not supplied to caravans as standard, only in Premier Lodges. Towels are available to hire at the cost of £15. If you wish to hire a set please contact the resort reception team to organise. Iron & ironing board or hairdryers are available to hire at the cost of £15 plus a £10 cash deposit, again to arrange this please contact the resort reception team. All caravans and lodges are situated in Park 2 which is a short walk from the main facilities. There are 4 lodges that are situated by reception and facilities.

Departure Information: Please ensure you leave the accommodation by 10:00am on your day of departure.

Pets: Please note, if you are planning on bringing your pet or animal on holiday, this must be included in your party make up when booking. If you arrive on holiday with an undeclared pet/animal, the park operators are entitled to either relocate you to suitable pet/animal-friendly accommodation (if available) or refuse access to the Park. You may also be liable for any Pet charge, cleaning costs and/or relocation costs incurred. Please check with the retreat prior to including any extra pets. Any pets arriving undeclared could be asked to leave the retreat if there is no pet accommodation available.

- "This place is beautiful, clean, has all facilities it’s basically a house. Hot tub on the decking outside is gorgeous and private. Location is pretty much perfect really, it’s quiet but you’re only a short drive away from shops etc. Snowdon is a 30 min drive. I loved it here we stayed for a week and honestly it wasn’t long enough! I didn’t want to come home. Hosts are also friendly and helpful."

Our family holiday home 'Sol y Sombre' is a 3 bedroom, 5 bed static caravan with views over the Snowdonia mountain range. Within a quiet, well maintained site on the outskirts of Benllech Village it has an indoor heated swimming pool, fitness suite, childrens play park and football pitch.

With a Smart TV, plenty of board games, and outdoor patio seating you can relax and enjoy no matter the weather.

5 min drive to Benllech shops & beaches, and 10 min to the delightful Moelfre and Lligwy Beach.

The space
We are delighted to share with you our family holiday home 'Sol Y Sombre' that will be open to guests when we can't be there. This homely 3 bedroom van is located within Glan Gors, the well maintained holiday park on the outskirts of Benllech, Anglesey.

The property consists of 1 x double bed and 2 x 2 single beds, making the space perfect for 6 guests. The single beds are great for younger guests, however if its 6 adults you might find them a little on narrower side. (We have slept in them, so they do accommodate adults.) Please note we will supply duvets and pillows but not bedding or towels, so just a reminder to bring your own from home.

There is a large open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. All stocked up ready for you enjoy. The kitchen has a gas oven/hob, fridge and small freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and slow cooker. There is plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery and of course wine glasses!

The corner sofa is really comfy and has a habit of making you fall asleep if you get the chance to curl up for a quiet 5 minutes. The views from there are great overlooking the mountains.

On arrival we will supply milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cordial, herbal tea and sugar and in addition the kitchen will be stocked with basics such as oil, salt, pepper, sauces and wrappings like tin foil.

There is a Smart TV in the lounge and plenty of boardgames, books, colouring books and crayons. The bathroom has lovely hot water and all the rooms are centrally heated if you need it!

Outside you can enjoy the view of the Snowdonia Mountain range either from the deck or the patio and there is outdoor seating for 6. If you love the sun, you'll be pleased to know it gets the sun throughout the day, and at night you can settle down with a throw and watch the stars across the dark sky.

The site is well equipped with an 18m indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and gym, and there is a play park and football pitch too. Plenty to do if you fancy a day away from the beach or if the weather changes!!


Location wise, Glan Gors is situated 5 mins drive from Benllech village which has a variety of pubs, shops, cafes, butchers and food shops - tesco and Coop. There is a bowling club, and of course the Blue Flag Beach which is fantastic for a swim.

10mins drive you will find the quaint fishing village of Moelfre and the equally delightful Lligwy Beach and Beach cafe - known for its pizzas and beer!

If Golf is more your thing, there is a 18 hole golf course just 2 mins drive away.

15 mins drive you have Llangefni where you'll find the larger Asda, Aldi and Lidl , you can get petrol from Asda and if you like a Park Run, then this is where you can get your fix every Saturday morning at 9am!

It’s a great spot, relatively quiet and if you get a chance to wind down, relax and listen to the birds, there is a delightful song thrush that tends to hover near by.

We're happy for you to bring your well behaved dog, however we ask that you please keep them off the sofa and the beds. If extra cleaning is required we may have to charge for this. Thanks for your understanding.

Please be aware that certain breeds are prohibited at Glan Gors, so please check with us before you book if you think you may have a prohibited breed.

Dogs on the site need to be on leads at all times, however there is a dog walking field at the entrance to Glan Gors where they are free to run!

Lligwy Beach is dog friendly all year round, as are many other beaches on the island, however Benllech Beach has a restricted area between May and September, although there is still plenty of space in the unrestricted section. If your dog needs a wash after a day at the beach, there is an outside tap on the side of the van, next to the parking spot.

3. We do NOT supply any personal body washing products.
4. PETS: only two dogs allowed. Airbnb charge £20 for one dog. Additional charge of £20 for an additional dog to be paid on arrival. Any other type of pet; cat, hamster, parrot, ferret etc. are not allowed.
- No dogs to be left alone in the property or garden, or allowed on furniture or in any bedrooms.
5. The total number of people this property can accommodate as guests is 6 under fire safety regulations and insurance purposes. This includes all children under 18, apart from a “babe in arms” (under 6 months old), usually considered to be a child that is unable to move, either by crawling or walking.
