- "Plus sides: next to the Donkey Sanctuary and the ability to cook for yourself. Now for the downsides. Where to begin? *Couldn't get into contact with the owner for check-in, arrival times, code to the key box or anything. Only after contacting Travelnest (the third company in charge of advertising the property) by phone on the day of check-in, I got a very short email from the owner about the check-in time (an hour later than advertised) and code for the key box. No apologies, not even his/her name. *After arriving at the park we had to search for #27. No map. No instructions in the instructions email. Finally after driving around for 15 minutes we found the “chalet”. Who in their right mind dares to call it that. It’s the middle apartment of three. Next to one looked like it could be used as a drug house. *Upon entering the apartment there were cobwebs everywhere and there was a very bad marijuana smell. The windows were left open. Guessing to try and air it out. *No sea in sight while it is listed as an ocean view! *Cutlery wasn't enough for four persons. *During the night, the flood light of the neighbors will shine in the bedroom, keeping you awake. *The smoke detectors were removed. The old location still visible on the ceiling *The shower had a hole in the floor resulting in water not draining properly and seeping underneath the floor (visible by just walking on the floor and water appearing through the seems). So all in all, would NOT recommend!"

Set in the rolling hills of South Devon The Chalet is a newly converted outbuilding with amazing views to the surrounding fields. It occurs a peaceful corner of our field and gives good privacy without being remote.

The Chalet has 2 double bedrooms one with a super king and one with twin beds. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with Grohe shower and Faith in Nature shower products.

The kitchen and living area is fitted with a cooker, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and there is a Nespresso Coffee Machine with complimentary pods. The Chalet has its own hot water and heating system. There is a flat screen TV, and a selection of DVDs. The bedrooms have DAB/bluetooth radios. There is an internet connection although please be aware that as this is the Devon countryside it is occasionally temperamental.

At the end of the chalet is a private south west facing patio which gets the sun from late morning until sunset. A BBQ is available.

The Chalet is situated in Stoke Gabriel, one of South Hams' most beautiful River Dart villages. The river is a 10 minute walk away where kayaks can be hired. There are 2 village pubs, a restaurant and a cafe by the mill pond serving local ice cream. Twenty minutes by car is the sandy beach of Broadsands, whilst the popular Elizabethan town of Totnes, is a 10 minute drive away.

The area has many excellent walks and local National Trust properties include Coleton Fishacre and Agatha Christie's summer retreat of Greenway.

Linen and towels are provided. Check in is after 3pm and check out is by 11am. There is a minimum 3 night stay.

- "This place is perfection! Some places call themselves dog friendly when they actually mean dog tolerant, the March End Lodges are truly dog friendly. These lodges have a private enclosed and safe garden for your dog, they leave you dog treats AND a doggy blanket. The lodge itself is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, fully kitted out with everything you need and exudes a feeling of calm and peacefulness. We were even greeted to prosseco in the fridge and milk for those desperate for a cuppa! Under the sink they give you all the little things you’re going to need - dishwasher tabs etc - it just feels like they’ve thought of everything. The location is amazing, you can walk into the lively little village to two different pubs and a well stocked shop. You can also walk to Putsborough beach (about 40 mins) and then across the beach to Woolacombe. The hot tub was a gorgeous way to spend our evenings. We didn’t need to worry about our dog as he was safe in the garden. There was a really small issue with the hot tub one night and Nick was there in minutes to fix it! Customer service is here is second to none. We will be coming back - no doubt about it!"

The space
This chalet has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with a two single beds) a living room, an open kitchen and a bathroom. It has all the cooking tools and bed linens. We have a travel baby cot. And the sofa can turn into a bed. The car park is very close and it is free.

Guest access
This holiday park has a nice restaurant and grocery store. You can also book the swimming pool by yourself at the reception on the day you arrive. The entertainment pass sells in reception.

The chalet at Bideford Bay Holiday Park, Buck's Cross, Devon is bright with its own patio.

This well maintained family friendly holiday park site has great facilities including a large club house. There's an indoor pool and heated outdoor pool (open restricted dates) - Guest passes need to be purchased separately on site.

The Manor House Bar and Restaurant hosts live entertainment, children’s entertainment, indoor games & amusements, outdoor play area, Wi-Fi internet and sports facilities.

The space
There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a good size sitting room with a dining table area, and kitchen off this.

A wall-mounted TV, DVD player and DVD's, radio cassette player, books and games are available to use as provided in the sitting room.

The bathroom has a full size bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin.

Please remember to bring your own towels and tea-towels.

No pets are allowed in the chalet please, and it is non-smoking.

There is a storage airing cupboard in the bathroom which also houses the Hot Water on / off switch.

No internet Wi-Fi is available in the chalet itself - it is available though at the Manor Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant area.

Please note that Guest passes for the various Parkdean Resorts' site facilities at Bideford Bay (swimming pools, entertainment, etc) need to be purchased separately at their Reception Office, which is down near the Manor Clubhouse.

Fully refurbished to the highest standards. We are proud to offer our one bedroom chalet for couples +1 looking for a spot to explore from. Located on a quiet site just a short drive from Dartmouth and local amenities. There is a sofa bed in the living room and so one additional guest may stay (no bed linen/bedding or towels are provided for this third guest).
Immediately outside the chalet is a flat grass area, perfect for morning coffee or a sunny BBQ. All linen and towels are provided.

The space
Our one bed chalet has been recently refurbished to a high, modern standard. All bedding and towels for two guests are provided. The sofa bed in the living area offers another space for a child/ third adult to sleep at no extra cost- just bring duvet, pillow, sheet and towels. The well stocked kitchen enables food to be stored, prepared and cooked and then enjoyed at the table beside the window.
The bedroom has blackout curtains and the double blind in the living room offers an option of blackout for the evening. One well behaved dog is allowed but please bring a dog bed and bowls and we ask that they stay off the furniture.
Norton Park is a family and dog friendly private holiday park. There is no club on site which promotes a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Guests will find a number of supermarkets and local pubs less than a 5 minute drive away.
Hot water and electricity is included in the price. The chalet complies with the latest fire safety legislation (October 2023).
Less than 2 mins down the road is the park and ride which is a handy way to travel into Dartmouth during the summer months. From Dartmouth you can explore the castle, take a ferry across to Kingswear or hop on the steam train heading to Paignton. Blackpool Sands is an 8 minute drive from Norton Park and a popular spot for families looking to enjoy a day on the beach.

One small, well behaved dog is welcome in the chalet. Please bring your own dog bed and keep them off the furniture. Strictly no cats allowed in the chalet- guests found to be breaking this rule will be asked to leave.

Unfortunately not, the property is located in a quiet area and we re very conscious of keeping our neighbours happy. They re very friendly and respectful of us and so we ask our guests to extend that courtesy to our neighbours when they stay with us.
