Clean, comfortable, pleasantly decorated, quiet double room with your own en-suite toilet/washroom and with shower in main bedroom. Windows look over the peaceful back garden with your own door entrance to room. There are also two seats outside tour back door with lighting. Parking is in front of the house garage though not always guaranteed. Alternate parking on the main road before you get into the Close, which is a safe and quiet area.

The room is on the ground floor opposite the kitchen and has your own shower, wash basin and toilet. It has a comfortable double bed with your own entrance to the back and front garden and parking area. There is also a wardrobe and colour flat screen TV in the bedroom, where you can also watch a movie on Netflix (click on 'Gary' and NOT 'Guest'), and access to YouTube.

We have two friendly cats (Shrek and Donkey) who are restricted to the kitchen and dining room, so the rest of the house is cat free.

We are near the City Centre & University. There is free street parking around the corner. The flat has steps, so not suitable for the elderly & people with mobility issues or poor eyesight

The flat is in the lower ground floor of our house, we live upstairs, but we totally respect people privacy as the flat has its own entrance, separate to ours…and if guests don’t want to meet us, they don’t have to as we have an easy self check-in process. The advantage is that we are around if anyone has any problems or if guests would like local recommendations.

THE PLACE…Our house is old, 1890, so it can be a bit quirky for some people, the layout surprises some people, but we love the quirkiness, as we are a family of artists. We have some noise from pipes, due to the age of the house…
The flat has a lot of steps outside and inside, so not good for the elderly or people with mobility problems…

Chez Vera is decorated with a Scandinavian influence in charcoal and muted tones with an emphasis on soft textures and warmth.
The flat has all mod cons-dishwasher/ washing machine/ microwave/ oven/ smart TV. and WiFi. We provide clean towels and try to provide everything we can to make our guests stay as comfortable as possible- everything for the weary traveller! Plus all guests have direct access to our beautiful tropical garden, with outside eating .

THE BEDROOM
The bedroom, is very light and airy with patio windows onto our beautiful garden. It has a double bed which has a very comfortable pillow-top, pocket-sprung mattress. The flat sleeps two in this double bed only!

THE LOUNGE/ KITCHEN
The Lounge/ kitchen is an internal room with only one small window so very little natural light, but it is decorated in light airy colours and has lots of modern artificial lights and a smart TV.

THE BATHROOM AND TOILET
The Bathroom and toilet, are newly fitted and has a lovely shower. It is completely private for the guests. There is a short walk to the bathroom down an adjacent, SHARED CORRIDOR which we may have to access to go to the garden, but do not do so when guests are in, but if we do to water the garden for example, we will text to ask before we come down. So you don’t have to worry about seeing us.

ENTRANCE
The guests have their own private side entrance so they can come and go as they please.

PARKING
Parking is restricted on our road only between 8-10am Monday to Saturday. Unloading is possible as most people arrive after this time.
But there is Free Street Parking around the corner a minute away, on Elm road, Fernleigh road, and a bit further away Seymour road is another alternative for free parking….
However if you come for the weekend you only have to worry about Saturday morning.

LOCATION
Our stylish flat is situated in leafy Mannamead, in the historic city of Plymouth we are close to the city centre on the direct bus route to the hospital, and all Plymouth’s amenities.

NON- ACCESSIBILITY
People who have accessibility problems should be aware that our flat has a lot of stairs down to the entrance and then a few steps inside the flat; one down to the bedroom, one from the kitchen to the lounge and one down the hall to the bathroom. The bathroom is down a long narrow corridor, so not really suitable for people who have walking problems, are near-sighted or who use a stick!
Not ideal for people with disabilities or the elderly!

The flat has its own private entrance at the side of the house. Guests have their own private kitchen/ lounge and bathroom, with free wifi and access to our beautiful tropical garden. We also have a key locker for self-check-in, which makes getting in and out of the property possible at anytime according to our check-in and check-out times!

Plymouth is situated in the middle of glorious Devon countryside, twenty minutes drive to Dartmoor National park and on a world-renowned coastline. The landscape in Devon is unrivalled; it is great for walking, relaxing, surfing and if you are an artist it is very inspirational.
Devon and our neighbour Cornwall is the holiday destination for the UK.
Plymouth is on the border with The county of Cornwall so we are very near/short drive away from the beaches and attractions of north Cornwall and also the beaches of South Devon and Dartmoor National Park. We are approximately one hour’s drive from the world-famous Eden Project, which is a great attraction and well worth a visit!

Hemyock is nestled in the Blackdown Hills in picturesque Devon. Its approximetly 5 miles South of Wellington, with good access to the
M 5, and Taunton is a 20 minute drive.

Come and relax in this calm, stylish space, with an open plan living room, kitchen and dining room, offering good natural light between the rooms.

To avoid any dissapointment, please book immediately when the listing is available, as l only host occasionally several times a month.

The space
The apartment is on one level, with two filghts of steps to the front door. Its a peaceful location, with walks along the river just down the road.

There is allocated parking when you arrive, and a call system to my apartment. The lounge enjoys double aspect windows which creates a calm and welcoming environment.

There are excellent amenities in the village, including a local pub which serves good hot meals most days, except Mondays when they are closed! You need to book on Sunday's for your roast dinner.

Guest access
The apartment is a shared space with the host, which includes the entrance and hallway, guest double bedroom, the dinning area with a comfortable armchair for your use.

Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, where there is a toaster for your use and kettle for tea of coffee. Crockery and cutlery is available, and the top shelf in the fridge is for guests.

There is no microwave, however you are most welcome to heat meals through on the hob, and share the dinning room table.

Being an open plan apartment, it is more suited to professional people and single guests visiting the area, for a few days!

Monthly stays are not permitted, however, l would like to welcome you personally, for a short stay on the beautiful Blackdown Hills

The accommodation is unsuitable for the disabled, or children, due to two flights of stairs to the apartment.

During your stay
Guests will be able to contact me by phone or email through Airbnb.

l would be greatly appreciate guests arriving back at the apartment in the evenings before 10pm please, especially if you go out socialising to avoid disturbing the each other, or the other neighbour in Mill Leat.

Small decked and fenced area, however dogs must be kept on leads when outside of the property as the surrounding land is not fenced.

We maintain Covid deep cleaning routine and provide antibacterial wipes and spray for your your convenience.

The space
The first floor bedroom is light and comfortable with top quality mattresses and beds. There is a wardrobe and a large window that overlooks a quiet street below.

The bathroom, with shower and bath, is next door and is shared. Towels are provided.

You will find tea and coffee making facilities at your bedside. If you would like breakfast, fresh coffee and hot croissant will be served in the kitchen, or possibly the garden.

This is a very specious room with wooden floor and a lot of sun coming in. It is very close to St Luke campus and hospital. Walking distance to city centre. We can also offer guest parking tickets just for £1
Our house is strictly non smoking and we do not accept smokers.

The space
It is a room for either one or two people. The room is specious and sunny with beautiful view on green trees which are on the other side of a road. The road is busy but the traffic slow and we do have tripple glazed windows so when window closed very little traffic noise is noted. We also have very specious and sunny kitchen which can be used by the guest.
