We had a 2 night stay in a twin room which Chris and Claire kindly upgraded to a sea view room as no one had booked it- the views from this room were beautiful! (They also provided a small set of binoculars in the room which was a lovely touch). Upon arrival, we were met with tea and biscuits and made to instantly feel at home. Nothing was too much bother and they were so friendly! The room was spotless and cozy, the beds unbelievably comfortable! Fresh milk was put in the room each day along with an assortment of tea, coffee and biscuits (anything that was not in the room could be asked for, such as fruit teas and hot chocolates). The breakfast was fantastic! All freshly cooked and could order anything we wanted! Cooked breakfast as well as a choice of cereal, fruits and yoghurt which you could have as much of as you wanted, setting us up for day! Parking just a very short walk away, and Chris and Claire provide a permit for this which is very helpful! I can honestly say I have never stayed anywhere so personal and perfect and can not wait to stay again in the future! After a full refurbishment Quayside is being offered as a holiday cottage for the first time from the end of May 2021, it is ideally situated within a stones throw to the harbour, Golden Hind and local Restaurant’s.

The property benefits from three bedrooms, master bedroom with sea glimpses, 2 king & 1 twin bedroom all with smart televisions, two en-suites, and a family bathroom, Open plan lounge diner, kitchen and enclosed level rear garden.

Please note the top bedroom has a steeper than normal staircase and slightly narrower than modern standards and could be unsuitable for some young children or the elderly.

Very few houses in the harbour area have their own parking but the fantastic location of the house more than makes up for the parking. If you are just staying local you should not need your car very much.

When you arrive you can quickly pull in and unload just by the house outside Dilly Dally Café or The Coffin House.

This amazing three en-suite bedroom house is situated overlooking the picturesque Brixham harbour.

It has been completely refurbished and finished to a very high standard in 2017. It is built over four floors and has three bedrooms which are all en-suite, open lounge/ dining area and a very up to date Kitchen with all the equipment needed to reflex the high standard.

It has that very rare commodity -it's own integral garage which is suitable for most small to medium cars. Other parking can normally be arranged in the local car park for £30 per week.

At the rear there is steep steps up to a patio which shares the same panoramic views - but this wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues or young children.

On the top floor there is a large twin en-suite with great views over to Torbay and Thatcher's Rock with digital TV. On the third floor is the master en-suite with King Size bed and the same great sea views and digital TV.

On the second floor is the wonderful lounge with sea views, dining area and off this is the very spacious and well equipped kitchen with a six burner, double oven range cooker and large fridge freezer. Off the kitchen is the door to the patio.

On the ground floor is the garage and a double bedroom en-suite with digital TV.

Over and above the three en-suite bathrooms there is a separate WC for any visitors

Brixham is situated between Paignton and Dartmouth and is one of the few un-spoilt fishing villages left in South Devon. You can use it as a base to explore or alternatively just leave your car parked and explore the region on foot or via the wonderful ferry service to Dartmouth or Torquay.

There are plenty of fantastic local walks as we are situated right on the famous South West Coast path or for the experience walkers, the walk from Kingswear to Brixham (11 miles) is a 'Must'! You will find more detailed walks on our web site and a list of '50 Things To Do' -

Well, it is just gorgeous! It is amazing, magical, romantic, unique and so very special!!!!

The total length of The Inspiration is 24 feet and the width is 9 feet. It has many of the things you would expect to find at home including: a microwave, TV with DVD, internet access, good Wi-Fi, towels, linen and utensils.

It has 2 rooms…one is the shower room and the rest of the open-plan living space has the sitting area, bedroom and kitchenette. Bed size is 4 ft x 6ft 3”

THE INSPIRATION - This is a cosy space and it is finished to a high spec. It is clean, elegant and charming.

THE VIEW - The majority of postcards that you will see of this area have the same gorgeous view that you will have from your deck, the beautiful sea and harbour views.

SWIMMING - You can walk 5 minutes to go for a swim at the closest beach, there is a huge sea pool 10 minutes’ walk away and there are about 10 stunning beaches that are a short drive from the marina.

CAFES & SHOPS – You will find lovely cafes and restaurants as you stroll down the promenade from the marina.

SIGHTSEEING – There are plenty of busses that go from the harbour and there is also a tour bus that will take you around the rest of The English Riviera. The ferry port is a 20 minutes’ walk along the promenade and there you will find the ferries to Dartmouth and Torquay, for nice days out.

RETAIL SHOPPING - There is a big retail park, about 20 minutes by car, if you want to enjoy some shopping.

PARKING DURING YOUR STAY - There is a car park across the street from the marina office. You are welcome to use my parking card so that you have easy, free parking for the entire duration of your stay.

As this is not a party venue, if you think that there will be singing, loud noise and loud music, it would be better to choose another location for your party please.

SMOKING -
For your safety there is no smoking permitted in or on The Inspiration or the Marina, the smoking point is on the promenade.

CHARMING SOUNDS
Under the roof of The Inspiration, there is a thick layer of honeycomb heat and sound insulation, for weather and noise protection. When you stay on a marina, you will have the sound of the sea, maybe the sounds of the masts from the sailing boats, perhaps you will hear the sea gulls and sometimes you may also hear the seals. These are unwanted noises for some people, yet charming holiday sounds for others.

COMFY BEDS
The comfy double bed has a very thick mattress and it is the size of a standard small double bed: 4 ft x 6ft 3” The single sofa bed also has a very comfortable mattress.

STABILITY
It is worth noting that even in rough weather, the water inside the marina is calm and as The Inspiration is on a catamaran-like structure, it is comparatively stable. You may find it easier to walk on the path between the boats when wearing flat shoes rather than high shoes / stilettos as it is like walking on decking with grooves.

A LITTLE MORE CONVENIENCE
The Inspiration has a toilet and a hot-water shower but you are more likely to want to use the large, private and very nice shower rooms on the marina. As shown in the photos, each private shower room on the marina has a large shower, large mirror, toilet, hair dryer and plenty of space, they even have soft-music-playing and under-floor heating! It is a nice and comfortable set up. This is a just by the marina office and there is also a laundry room for guests and those laundry machines are coin operated.

PLANNING YOUR DAY OF ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN... There is so much to see and do in the area that you may like to arrive early in the morning to make the most of your day, you can park in the public car park ready for your free parking from 15:00. You can then enjoy, the coastal walk or a stroll along the promenade whilst stopping in the the cafes and chintzy shops along the way or relax on the blue flat beach...these are all a few minutes leisurely stroll from The Inspiration. For coming aboard The Inspiration, you have a dedicated check in time of 15:00 and your concierge will be waiting to greet you and show you around at that time. With a superb layout and gorgeous interior design, Mayflower occupies most of the building's ground floor and is the largest of the Maritime Suites. It has its own front entrance and has been refurbished to an impeccable standard. The property boasts a plush master bedroom and large living area with sofa bed and TV. - "Absolutely lovely apartment with good facilities and high standard of finish. Very quiet apartment despite there being suites above. Good basic kitchen facilities with air fryer, toaster, microwave, cutlery, kettle, plates and glasses etc. Very well situated with a few minutes walk down to the harbour and town. It would have been good to have received an information pack on arrival, as we weren't sure where to put rubbish from the bins or whether there would be any cleaning during our stay. No instructions on how to use the electric fire or heating in the apartment. Other than that I would thoroughly recommend the suite for a stay and would revisit some time in the future."

Port Side is a newly refurbished two-bedroom, self-contained linked property, 20 minutes stroll to the bustling working harbour of Brixham. There is so much to see and do locally, this is a great place to stay and ideal for those who want to be within walking distance of the pubs and restaurants around the harbour bowl where parking is in high demand. You can spend hours wandering and exploring, watching the fishing boats coming in and out of the port, or looking around the harbour with its quaint shops and historic Golden Hind ship. Perhaps walk along the Brixham Marina to the Breakwater to see the resident seals or out to the Berry Head Nature Reserve. If a lover of history Brixham Museum or the military museum at Battery Gardens. Prefer to just relax over a drink and watch the world go by then one of the waterside cafes or pubs with their pavement tables. There are great beaches close by, Fishcombe Cove, Churston Cove, Breakwater Beach, or Broadsands just a little further out (half an hours walk or 5 minutes in a car). Port Side is easy to get to with free on street parking, both to the front and rear of the property, unlike most of Brixham. The house itself is spacious with a modern open plan kitchen, eye level oven, dishwasher, microwave, induction hob, toaster, fridge freezer, washing machine and all the utensils you need. The kitchen bar overlooks the lounge/diner with its comfy couches and extendable dining table. A fantastic wood burner with glass front so that you can relax and watch the flames and there is also a smart TV for your entertainment. On the same level, off the main hall is a modern tiled bathroom with shower over bath and dual fuel towel rail, a separate toilet with basin, and a built-in cupboard housing an ironing board, iron, vacuum cleaner and other domestic items you may need. A tumble dryer is situated under the stairs.
There are 2 well-proportioned bedrooms upstairs, the main bedroom contains a king size bed with dressing table, wardrobe and smart TV. Opposite the main bedroom is another good-sized bedroom which can either be made up as 2 single beds or another king size bed. Port Side is accessed from the front via steps leading up from the road. At the rear of the house there is a terraced garden with a private patio where a set of French doors lead into the kitchen area. The terraces are wonderfully sheltered and a fantastic place to sit and relax. The property can also be accessed from the rear via a quiet road with further free on street parking.

There are steps to the property - this is Brixham after all, but visitors to Sundeck are rewarded with views across Torbay, and that most welcome of elements in a holiday property – a little outside space in which to relax, unwind with one's tipple of choice, and to take in the views

Sundeck is situated on the sunnier, west facing side of the harbour and has windows to three aspects. Its spacious, light interior comprises a large, open plan, sitting room with dining area, well-equipped, galley kitchen and – on the ‘ground floor level' there are two double, ensuite bedrooms – one with a shower, W.C and washbasin and the other with W.C. and washbasin.

August 2022Absolutely loved our stay at Sun Deck. Positioned so conveniently just a short walk into the harbour yet very quiet in the evenings. The cottage was very tastefully designed, comfortable and clean. Although the car parking space is a short walk up hill it's so worth it as parking in Brixham is very difficult and on street parking ( where available ) is limited ans precarious. The sun deck car parking space is roomy and safe. There was three of us in the cottage myself and my 19 year old daughter coped easily with the steep steps. My 76 year old mother struggled a bit however there is a handrail and although it was difficult for her she thought it worth it for such lovely accommodation. We would definitely book Sun Deck again.Sarah

Two Sails is perfect for 2 families holidaying together with the option of having their own private space. The property has been designed so that it can be divided into 2 via a dividing door. Each side has 2 bedrooms, striking bathrooms, and modern, open plan lounge kitchen diner. Each has their own set of double French doors which open onto the back patio where all can enjoy the sunny terraces in private.
There is a Lazy Jane BBQ with a detachable griddle which can also be used as a fire-pit.

It is also very easy to merge together inside the property via the dividing door where everyone can join together in the cosy lounge with the wood fire on Port Side.

Brixham’s harbour and town centre is a short distance away and full of seafood restaurants and pubs, so if you don’t feel like cooking, you will find plenty of places to eat. Boats can take you over to the bustling resort of Torquay, where you can find lots to keep the whole family entertained.

Self check in, fabulous 2 bedroom annex located in a quiet area with private and on street parking. Can be arranged as 2 double bedrooms or 1 double bedroom and 1 x 2 singles. Brixham town and harbour are only 15 to 20 minutes walk away with all its pubs, restaurants, shops and superb walks. The South West Coastal Path only a 10 minute walk from the property. Dartmoor National Park and numerous other attractions and activities are within a 15 mile radius.

The space
Completely refurbished in 2020 Starboard Side gives landlubbers a taste of the sea without having to step off the shore. It's bright open plan galley kitchen , diner and lounge are above with stairs leading down below decks to a luxury bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom with double bed has it's own dressing room fit for a captain, the second bedroom with it's porthole window and resident mermaid ready to welcome you can be arranged as a 1 double or 2 single beds.

Other things to note
The majority of holiday lets in Brixham do not have their own private parking space. The demand for street parking is extremely high at busy times. Starboard Side has off road parking outside your window, making it easy to come and go, as you please, exploring the area without stressing over parking. Also really convenient for unloading and loading up your luggage.

Lots of outside space for the summer with plenty of parking on drive. I live at the end of a very quiet road and live 10 minutes walk down hill from town, bus station and from a pebbled beach which is on the Southwest Coastal Path.

You can get the number 17 bus opposite Simply Fish, the harbour end of Fore Street, which takes you to the entrance of Alma Road where I live.

This area is so peaceful with a good community neighborhood and is ideal for a couple or small family to get away from the world. Beach St Marys Bay is only a 5 min walk with close access to all coastal paths and a walk to a pretty large fishing harbour with lots of varied cafes and restaurants and of course cannot forget the best English fish and chip takeaways!
Overall excellent access to all local amenities and attractions as well as public transport including regular ferries .

You enter into your own private spacious patio garden from the car park there is a gate at the back of the house which is completely seperate from the main two storey house above.There is a self service checking in and out system provided with a keypad in garden so check in and check out is easy.

Please do not leave any rubbish bags outside the property as the seagulls will get in and cause a mess.
Rubbish should be placed in the general large grey bin which is outside in the garden.Please use boxes for recycling provided.
Please be aware there is a mature lady who lives in the property upstairs property.
We also urge you to respect our local neighbours by keeping noise to an acceptable social level as this is a family residential area.
