Overall I would really recommend this hotel and will hopefully return soon. I know the dining room is being refurbished and look forward to breakfast in the future! "

- "Overall my experience was great. I went on a weekend getaway with two of my friends. We met Dean and he was a great host. We were worried that we would not be allowed to check in 2 hours early, but Dean said our room was ready to go. He showed us around and gave us good recommendations around Weymouth to try out since none of us have ever been to the town. Breakfast was included and it was great. I had my first full English breakfast. The food came out fast and it was delicious. Our room was wonderful. We had a seaside view which I did not realize we had until we arrived. The walls were thin to the outside and we got a little worried that we would not be able to sleep because of the traffic outside, but we did not have a problem at all. The town seems to get quiet pretty early at night around 8 or 9 pm. So we did not hear any car noise, instead, we actually heard the waves crashing against the shore which was a nice touch when you are trying to go to bed! Check out is at 10 am, however, our train did not depart until 2 pm that same day so we asked Dean if we could possibly leave our bags somewhere in the Bed and Breakfast while we go explore the town next door. He allowed us to do that, we told him what time we would be back and he was waiting for us outside exactly at the time we told him we would be back. I highly recommend this place. It's affordable, nice, and you have the beach not even 5 minutes away from where you are. Dean was amazing and did a wonderful job in keeping things in order. If you have the opportunity to go to Weymouth, I would suggest staying at A Maiden Rest."

Beautiful building and close to Weymouth centre " - "Stayed two nights over the weekend and would 100% recommend Oaklands Guesthouse to everyone thinking of booking a trip. We got a lovely welcome from the owners, Tim and Teresa, when we arrived and they had already sent a courtesy text earlier in the day, before we had set out, to let us know our room was ready for check in. The building and our room were really lovely and had a boutique hotel feel to it. There has clearly been a lot of hard work put in to making this a stunning place to stay. A short 10 minute walk and you are right on the seafront, so this was a perfect location for easy access to the heart of Weymouth and the beach. Breakfast was excellent with the usual cereal, fruit, juices along with a full English or a special of the day. The food was beautifully presented and of a really high quality, especially the cooked breakfasts. Don't be confused by this being called a guesthouse, it is much more than that and if we are ever back in Weymouth this will be where we will want to stay."

By pure lucky chance we came across the 'Lantana' run by very friendly couple John and Sandra who made us feel very welcome. The rooms are super clean and have everything needed for the visit. Breakfast was superb, every day a selection of fresh chopped fruit and perfectly cooked full English breakfast with the best sausages I've tasted for a while. The location of the the Lantana is so convenient with delightful decking to the rear overlooking the quayside and all the bobbing yachts, and from the other side we could see the sea from our bedroom window. We cannot sing the Lantana's praises more. There is so much to do nearby and plenty of restaurants so perfect for us. Big thanks to Sandra and John for making our stay that much more enjoyable."

My house is approximately 15mins walk from the seafront, with its safe family beach & amazing views, 15mins from train station & 20mins from town centre & lively Quayside bars & restaurants. You have your own private bathroom . I have a double room available and a single bedroom available upon request for an additional £25 per night. If you are two guests wanting the two rooms you will need to check yourself in as 3 guests . I live here with our two dogs.

Within ten mins walk: local beaches, Sandsfoot garden cafe, co-op, pub and chip shop. 20 mins walk: The Crab House, Billy Winters, Weymouth Watersports, more pubs. Located between Weymouth and Portland near the Rodwell Trail, Castle Cove Sailing club and the National Sailing Academy. A short drive to the local dive shops and dive boats and Lidl.

Chez Gilly's house is very close to the town centre with a fabulous sandy beach and pretty harbour all 5- 10 minutes stroll from here. You won't need your car once you’ve parked up as everything is easily accessible from here, including the fabulous Jurassic coastal walks.
Just around the corner is Radipole Lake Bird and Nature reserve which is great for nature lovers. Also close by is The Rodwell trail, which was the old railway line, and has some really amazing views over Portland Harbour.

This is a bright and airy bedroom with the use of a lovely refurbished bathroom with a large modern shower ( share with host only..who is out most of the day )
Guests are also welcome to use the rear garden / patio to sit out, with access being through the kitchen.

Chez Gilly's is very close to the local nature reserve, South West Coast Path and other walks. It's very close to the beach, town centre and harbour., where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.
I am also a short walk from the train station and main bus stops.

All towels will be provided, and if you want to borrow a couple of towels for the beach then just ask. I've also got a couple of fold up camp chairs to borrow😁.

Lily House is a lovely large Edwardian terrace within walking distance of the centre of Weymouth. A seaside town, Weymouth has an award winning beach, harbour and visitor attractions. The town is situated halfway along the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site on the Dorset and East Devon coast and handy for the South Coast path. Our house is a comfortable house with full amenities. We follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process, which is based on Airbnb’s cleaning handbook.

The space
The room we are offering is a bright quiet double room overlooking the garden. You have your own toilet next door and separate bathroom with bath and shower. We are happy for you to use other areas in the house such as the kitchen, dining room and garden. The garden is sheltered and a real suntrap, we have garden furniture and a BBQ available to use for al fresco dining on the patio till the sun goes down. You can easily walk to town or the beach within 10 minutes and about 15 minutes to the harbour. Taxis cost £5 to and from the town if you fancy an evening out.

During your stay
We will certainly help you with anything you need during your stay. We are generally a quiet house. Pete is a classical guitarist and Emma is a contemporary singer so you can ask for a private concert :)

We have two young GoldenDoodles one called Clara (black) and Teddy (gold). They are both very friendly and sometimes can be a little over friendly. Teddy needs to learn some manners and we are trying to teach him slowly. They may bark at you on arrival but this is just how they like to welcome people.
