Sid’s Place is located on our equestrian property on the Dorset/Hampshire border which is equal in distance between Wimborne in Dorset and Ringwood in Hampshire, both of which are pretty market towns, making it ideal for exploring both counties. The New Forest National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Coastline are on our doorstep. Our coastline offers 10 miles of sandy beaches from Hengistbury Head to Sandbanks peninsula. From Sandbanks you can board a chain ferry to Shell Bay to explore the Purbecks and Corfe Castle. Other places to visit very nearby are Moors Valley Country Park, Avon Country Park, Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre and Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre.

Adjoining our main property Sid’s Place is totally independent and a perfect place to isolate and get away from busy life! We are tucked away in the middle of our land surrounded by our five horses. Our highland cows are a few fields down our lane and are also very popular! The peace and quiet is delightful and having forest access is a must for walking, running, cycling and of course for our riding. We are just a stones throw away from the A31 which gives easy access to surrounding towns and places further a field. Bournemouth is approximately 6-7 miles which offers good shopping and miles of sandy beaches. The New Forest National Park is also about the same distance away. So although we cherish our quiet home there is a hive of activity on our doorstep should we want it!!

The Lodge is situated in a cul de sac, so safe for children to play and free parking for 2 cars. It has 2 bedrooms, bedroom 1 has a king size bed with an en suite bathroom and dressing room, with ample storage and hanging space. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, a large built in wardrobe and access to bath room 2. There is also a sofa bed for 2 in the lounge area. The beds and bedding and the general fittings were clean and comfortable and well supplied. WiFi was good We knew we wouldn't require the site facilities but enjoyed the walking with our little dog straight out into Hurn forest. Staff and visitors were friendly. We would stay on the park again However the TV signal worked only occasionally and while this may seem unimportant to some my husband who has dementia was 'lost' without it. Such a pity. If this could be properly fixed we would definitely stay again."

Down the hall, the twin bedroom features two single beds, a wardrobe with drawers, and shelving for each bed.

There is a family shower room off the hallway with a large shower space, toilet, basin, and storage cabinet.

The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a gas hob, oven and extractor hood, an integrated fridge freezer unit, microwave, kettle, and toaster. There are storage cabinets with plenty of crockery, glassware, cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, and utensils.

The comfortable lounge area features plenty of seating, a dining table, an electric fireplace, a smart tv, internet access, a connecting doorway to the decking, and a double pull-out bed that sleeps two.

A fully-enclosed sunny and south-facing deck with railing sits on the front side of the lodge, with rattan seating for four people and a small coffee table, that is perfect for outdoor relaxation. There is space for two cars immediately next to the lodge.

Our home from home is a 32ft long Trieste model with central heating and was manufactured by ABI.
Each radiator has it’s own Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV) which means you can set the required temperature of individual rooms.
It has a Master Bedroom with a king size bed, double wardrobe, bed side units, a make-up area & a handy double USB charging socket. It also has its own en-suite toilet and wash basin.
The Second Bedroom has two single beds and a single wardrobe.
The main bathroom has a powerful walk-in double shower, toilet and wash basin.
The Kitchen is kitted out with a tall fridge freezer, gas fired double oven and hobs with overhead extraction hood, washing up sink and drainer, kettle, toaster, and a state-of-the-art large Ninja Air Fryer. The open plan design allows for a dining room table with comfy bench seats and stools.
In the main living area near the Trieste’s entrance, we have comfortable bench seating large enough for a big family. Under the bench seating are storage areas and even a double pull-out bed.
Sitting at pride of place in the main living area is the Internet & Netflix enabled 43” LG SMART TV connected with a Sony PS4 and a cosy remote controlled electric flame-effect fireplace.
Outside we have a large, decked area which catches the all-day sun with a Bistro style table and chairs.
Also on the decking, is a discretely located key lockbox which we regularly change the access code for added security.

We have the added benefit of being on a holiday site, so you may wish to purchase a park pass to access the facilities during your break, these may be purchased from reception on arrival which will give you access to the Main Complex, Pools, Gym, Show Bar, Sports Bar & Restaurant.
Reception is open from 7am to 7.30pm. If your arrival is after reception has closed, just pop over to the Restaurant and ask to speak to a Duty Manager, who we're informed can sort out passes for you.

Set on approximately 3.75 acres of simply stunning leafy grounds, a nature trail leads to a secluded decked area which overlooks a private lake. The space
This is a two bedroom, one double and two singles, and also there is a double pull out sofa in the living room. All bedding/towels are provided (except swimming towels). Beds are made up for your arrival, with the exception of the sofa bed. There is bedding available for the sofa bed if you need it. We can have the sofa bed ready and set up if you prefer but please state if you would like this when booking. There is an en-suite in the main bedroom and a separate family bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for 6 people with a seating area. Full size fridge and freezer and microwave. The living room has two sofas and a smart tv and some games and a few books. We also provide dog throws if your fur babies wish to snuggle up with you. The gated deck area has outdoor furniture. The deck area has a lockable gate for the little ones safety. There is also an outside tap if you need to wash off muddy boots or paws. Centrally heated. Fans also provided.

You will have our two bedroom caravan, two parking spaces and private deck area to yourselves. Entertainment passes are included (they are digital passes that will be emailed to the lead booking person on the reservation and will come directly from Shorefield Holidays to the email you have provided. Please always check spam/junk folders as sometimes the pass goes there. These passes allow you to access entry to the restaurants, bars, show bar, and swimming pools etc, so you can use all the facilities free of charge. You are also able to order food, snacks and beverages from the restaurant to be delivered to your caravan with no delivery fees! You will need to show the pass so please keep it with you and only share it with those in your group.

Other things to note
Shorefield do close the facilities on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Your keys will be in the lockbox and the code will be available to you prior to your arrival. Park passes are included in your rental and will be sent to you digitally via email from Shorefields before your arrival. You will need to provide us with an email address, car registration number, number of adults and ages of children for each pass required. If you are bringing a dog, we do need to know the breed. The park has two apps which you can download to your phone. If you need anything specific for your stay please feel free to ask ahead of time and we will do our best to help you. The caravan is situated on a lovely part of the park in Narcissus which is a cul de sac, with little through traffic, nice and close to the facilities but not right on top of them. You will find the location is one of the best in the park. Please bring your own swimming/beach towels. All other towels are provided. There will be a welcome pack of instant coffee and teas and some milk in the fridge to get you started. There is a Tassimo coffee maker but you would need to provide your own coffee pods. The swimming pools operate on a wrist band hourly basis during peak times.

Spend your days in a traditional Finnish log cabin with a grass roof. Step outside and be enveloped by rhododendrons and enjoy sitting in front of a fire pit or a BBQ amongst trees and nature. The main room is for sleeping and living with a super-king size bed, table, TV, 2 easy chairs. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Cabin is not fenced in.
Adjacent to Ringwood Forest where you will find a cycle trail, Moors Valley Country Park, a golf course and a lake.

The space
The cabin has everything you'll need to stay comfortably.
It is particularly suitable for nature lovers, with a fireplace, BBQ and garden access for guests to enjoy the open forest air. Enjoy the daffodils on the roof in March, the bluebells in April and wildflowers in the summer.

The super king size bed will be made up with a double duvet per default. Please let us know if you'd rather have 2 single duvets, so that 2 friends can easily share the cabin too :)

We are dog-friendly but please notice that the cabin itself is not fenced in.

The cabin now has its own little "Hobbit" wood burner which creates a lovely and warm atmosphere in the cabin on a cold winter night.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Surrounded by forest this cosy caravan makes the perfect base for exploring the New Forest National Park as well as Dorset's Jurassic coastline and everything in between.

The space
The caravan is in Foxglove, a quiet cul-de-sac within Oakdene Forest Park but only a 5-8 minute walk from the main reception building and its amenities.

The caravan itself contains a double bedroom with a new memory foam mattress and an en suite toilet and sink, another bedroom with two single beds and then there is a sofa bed in the lounge room which can comfortably sleep two.

The main bathroom has a great shower, actually better than my shower at home, which heats up to the perfect temperature very quickly and is strong enough to wash the longest of hair. There is also another toilet here, a sink and some cupboards for storage.

There is a microwave, a toaster, a gas stove and oven. The fridge freezer is a large family-sized one. I love the tap water from the kitchen cold tap: it's always so cold and tastes so clean and pure..no need for filters or bottled water here!

There is a smart TV in the lounge room with access to Amazon Prime or iPlayer already set up as well as all the regular TV channels. If you have your own Netflix subscription you can log on here. There is very good WiFi in the caravan (password can be found in the kitchen). I have also left some books and games which I hope you will enjoy.

For the colder months there is central heating so you can stay warm and cosy on your holiday.

The decking runs up the side of the caravan and the main part is out the back between the caravan and the forest, very private. It is actually a real little sun trap here so you can relax in the sunshine here for the day with a good book if you prefer to really chill out away from the crowds.

There is a parking space in front of the caravan which is big enough for two cars. Parking is free.

Oakdene Forest Park is part of the Shorefield group of holiday parks. The main reception building contains a pub/restaurant, a big bar where there is nightly entertainment, an indoor pool and gym, an outdoor pool which is open during summer months and an arcade as well as the main reception desk, a shop and launderette. Our cosy lodge sits at the front of our property offering a peaceful retreat within the grounds of the family home. With a modern, homely vibe, the lodge feels unexpectedly spacious, featuring high ceilings that add to the airy atmosphere. Inside, you’ll find well appointed rooms, with an open plan kitchen and living space, a snug inviting separate bedroom , and an en suite shower room for added comfort. The shower cubicle has a rain shower and jets. Towels are provided. The bedroom features a king size bed, a wardrobe, dressing table/ chest of drawers. The fully equipped kitchen includes microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher washing machine and fridge freezer. Ample pots and pans, utensils, crockery are supplied. A sofa, armchair and TV/DVD player in the lounge area, provide a comfortable space to relax. The dining table and chairs, can be doubled up as a work area if needed. The lodge has plenty of areas to relax and sit outside with space just outside your door for your morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening. There is also a pretty and secluded picnic table area, and a small grassed area with washing line, to the rear. Please note these are not fenced areas. Private parking directly outside the lodge on driveway.

Guests have outside use of a picnic area and a small grassed area to the rear of the lodge. You are welcome to use this space to walk your dog on its lead if you wish. There is also a seating area next to your front door where you could relax and enjoy a drink.

It is particularly suitable for nature lovers, with a fireplace, BBQ and garden access for guests to enjoy the open forest air.

Note that due to the bedroom being located under an A-line roof, tall people may not be able to stand upright upstairs. However, the communal area downstairs is spacious, so movement is not restricted in day-to-day living.
We can provide a travel cot (no mattress and bedding provided) and a high chair for infants.

If you book for 2 guests but would like to have an additional bed made up (double bed upstairs plus one single downstairs), we will charge an extra fee for the additional bed linen, payable directly to us.

Sid’s Place is located on our equestrian property on the Dorset/Hampshire border which is equal in distance between the pretty market towns of Wimborne in Dorset and Ringwood in Hampshire making it ideal for exploring both counties. The New Forest National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Coastline are on our doorstep.

Adjoining our main property Sid’s Place is totally independent and a perfect place to catch up with nature and get away from busy life!

Nestled in a tranquil setting amongst our horses and ponies with the forest literally 50m to the rear of our property it is a great place to enjoy peace and quiet and just enjoy the sounds of nature. Hurn Forest offers trails for walking, running and cycling after which you can relax and maybe enjoy a bbq or a peaceful cuppa on the decking.

Other places to visit very nearby are Moors Valley Country Park, Avon Country Park, Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre and Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre.

Nearby are the pretty market towns of Wimborne and Ringwood, both offering a host of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.

The space
The Studio is detached and has its own entrance. It is completely self-contained, and there's a private walled garden with outdoor seating to the rear of the unit.

The open plan space includes:

- a kitchenette with kettle, toaster, and combination microwave and single hob so you are able to prepare and reheat food.
- double bed
- the futon lays flat to make a single bed
- fold out table and chairs, for dining or working

The utility room has a sink, washing machine and mini fridge.

The shower room has a large corner entry shower, WC, and basin/vanity.

There are lots of amenities to make your stay comfortable! including drying rack, iron and ironing board, as well as clothes storage space.

We have off street parking, but tons of quiet street parking too, it’s often busy coming and going on the drive so sometimes its just easier to park on the road. There is secure bike locking in walled garden, or you can store clean bikes inside the studio. we are keen cyclists and happy to suggest off road or road cycling routes!

On the edge of the New Forest our cosy holiday home is situated in the fantastic Oakdene Forest Holiday Park. There is a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area - complete with a large decking area, perfect for enjoying some outdoor dining.

Pet and children friendly this generously spaced holiday home consists of 2 bedrooms (one double, one twin), 2 bathrooms with showers, a fully equipped kitchen and dedicated parking area.

Price includes Wi-fi and leisure passes for the facilities.

The space
The master bedroom has a double bed with wardrobe and cupboard storage and ensuite bathroom with shower.

The second bedroom has twin beds but one can be put down to make room for a travel cot (no deposit needed just let us know when you book if it will be needed).
The second bedroom is served by the main bathroom through a "Jack and Jill" style door.

Both bedrooms come with bedding and towels. Please note you will need to bring your own pool towels.

Bathrooms have hand wash and towels and cleaning supplies are available if required.

The kitchen includes tea, coffee making facilities with Tassimo coffee maker. There is a toaster and gas cooker with 4 burner hob. Included is also a small air fryer for smaller items.

The kitchen also includes tea towels, washing up liquid and bin bags. A highchair can be set up if required please let us know if this would be useful.

The lounge has a smart TV with Google Chromecast to access YouTube, Netflix etc. A selection of toys and books is also available younger guests.

Outside the gated deck has a table with chairs, a parasol is also available if needed. The designated parking space is in front of the caravan and can fit two smaller cars or one large car.

The complex facilities including swimming pool, arcade, restaurant and shop are a short 3-5 minute walk away and passes to access these are included in the price of your stay.
