I would recommend." - "A friend and I were looking after our newborns, whilst our respective partners celebrated a hen-do nearby, so chose the location based on proximity to their accommodation. The apartment was very well presented, clean and tidy and offered enough space and amenities for our stay. Even with two newborns (and all of worldly possessions that are needed to travel anywhere with them) there was sufficient room. All in all the stay was very enjoyable and I was very appreciative of the owner being so accommodating of my request for an early check-in. Only minor negatives would be that 1. The property is accessed up a flight of external stairs (in our case it just made unloading baby baggage/cot etc a little trickier and needed to proceed with caution in the wet weather). 2. There is very little to do in the immediate vicinity / in walking distance. That said, there were a selection of pubs, cafes and takeaways so it wasn't actually an issue for our stay at all. If travelling to the area I would highly recommend this property."

It had enough bathrooms that meant no one got in each others way when getting ready for days out. Welcome to Annie’s house in Amesbury. A centrally located, newly converted, with excellent links to the A303 and just a 3 minute drive to the prehistoric monument, Stonehenge and woodhenge. The medieval city of Salisbury, home to our beautiful cathedral, is also just a short 10 minute drive. We are 1 hours drive from Bournemouth beach. 45 minutes drive from Winchester and 35 mins from Longleat and safari park. This is an idyllic central location offering ample parking outside our Annie’s house, restaurants, shops, public houses and pretty river walks and we look forward to welcoming you for your stay!
PLEASE NOTE: To ensure the health & safety of our guests the house will be extensively cleaned after each stay and hence outdoor shoes are not allowed throughout the house a designated shoe cabinet is provided for guest to store shoes.

The space
B&B in our house means Bed and Bathroom, not Bed and Breakfast. I admit to being a terrible cook and it's not worth getting everything in to suit all appetites when most often guests are setting off very early and don't want it anyway.

In order to protect my furnishings I do not allow food or drink, other than water, upstairs so please don't try to persuade me that bananas and biscuits are not food!

The two storey house is modern, your upstairs (no lift) bedroom is simple, clean and quiet with central heating, double glazing, substantial curtains and a black-out blind.

The bedroom is either twin-bedded or king (please let us know in advance so that we can configure the beds accordingly) with seasonal duvets, good pillows and blankets for when they are needed, as well as Terrestrial TV, and a hairdryer.

You will have exclusive use of the adjacent bathroom which has an excellent shower in the bath, and plenty of lovely towels!

However, if weather permits you may eat whatever you bring in the garden. I can store necessary items, such as insulin, in the fridge if needed.

COVID
All guests must be up to date with their Covid vaccinations at least three weeks before staying with me. Masks must be worn when coming in and out of the house. Please also take a LFT before you arrive, please do not come if testing positive.

The 21ft fully equipped kitchen/ diner is an ideal space for couples or family’s to entertain with large French doors leading onto a generous private courtyard with access to our BBQ and fire pit. There is a built in American style fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, 42 inch flat screen TV and in the larder there is a washing machine available for longer stays (5 days+ please discuss with host at point of booking) The kitchen is fully stocked with non stick pans, cutlery and glass wear along with plenty of staple herbs and condiments to use at your disposal. We also provide a welcome basket for longer stays which includes fresh local milk, bread and eggs along with some seasonal extras. The solid oak dining table seats up to 6 with the option to include a high chair upon your request. There is also an out door dining area for the summer months.

This three bedroom holiday home is a perfect base for tourists, families, anglers and business trips. Family run Mandalay is within the Stonehenge UNESCO World Heritage site in Amesbury, Wiltshire. The holiday home is an annexe to the main 1930s house, has driveway parking for 2-3 cars, and is within a meandering bend of the River Avon, and ideal for trips to Stonehenge (30 mins walk), or further afield to Durrington Walls, Woodhenge, Avebury, Salisbury, the New Forest, and Bath.

The space
The holiday home has a secure and private entrance, opening to the living room and dining area. Also on the ground floor is a kitchen with a ceramic hob and oven, microwave, compact under counter fridge/freezer and washing machine, a bathroom, and a twin bedroom (2 single beds) with access to the large garden and patio that has an outside table and chairs for dining. Upstairs there is a further twin bedroom (2 single beds), a super bathroom with power shower, and a spacious double bedroom (king-size bed) with desk and countryside views. Free wi-fi throughout the property.

Off-road private parking - two spaces are available in the front driveway with easy access to the holiday home front door. A third space may be available on request.

You are most welcome to enjoy the beautiful garden which faces south across a patio and a large lawn, down to a Greek folly. In case of inclement weather there are plenty of games, puzzles, books and televisions in the property.

Other things to note
It's a ten minute walk from Mandalay Holiday Home over the River Avon, on past the Abbey, to Amesbury town centre where you can find several pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways, a variety of independent shops including gift shops, independent baker and butcher, supermarkets, bank, tourist information office and a new local history museum with a tea room and gift shop. There are good bus links to Salisbury and the local area.
