Nestled in a terrace of classic honey-coloured, Georgian townhouses, just a stone's throw from the town's centre, New Church Cottage is distinguished by its quintessential duck-egg green front door and pretty bay trees framing its front sash window; an elegant touch, setting the theme for the property as soon as you step inside. Tetbury is arguably one of the most stylish market towns in the Cotswolds, thanks to its independent boutiques, fantastic antique shops and royal connections.
Walking straight into the cosy living space of the cottage, you'll get a sense of its rich heritage, dating back to the 18th Century. An antique-surround wood burning stove is the centrepiece of the room, with tasteful historic artwork, Sanderson fabrics and antique furnishings giving the room a timeless, elegant feel. Through the living room sits a small but well-equipped kitchen, hand-painted and stocked with all that you'll need during your stay, with a handy dining space to the rear.
Up the winding staircase, lined with striking Lewis & Wood wallpaper, you'll find two individually designed double bedrooms. The first-floor bedroom has a beautiful, king-size double bed, painted antique furniture and views out to the street below. Up another winding staircase is the ensuite master bedroom, with show-stopping features radiating a feeling of historic luxury. In here, guests will find a vaulted ceiling with painted beams, a sparkling crystal chandelier, a sink-in king-size double bed and plenty of antiques. The cottage's main bathroom is between the ground floor and first floor.

- "Our family had a lovely stay at the New Church Cottage. It was a beautiful, traditionally decorated home that was in a great location to enjoy Tetbury and the Cotswold’s area. Shops, restaurants and grocery stores in very close walking distance so it was very convenient. We definitely highly recommend this property." - "We received full details before we arrived, making it easy to gain access to the beautiful cottage and find our parking space. The cottage was beautifully decorated, furnished and spotless. Everything we needed was provided. Having a local co op nearby for us to purchase food. We sat in the court yard and played scrabble as a family. We had some lovely walks daily and some lovely meals out in Tetburys local restaurants. Everything was on our doorstep which was ideal. The locals were so friendly. We had such a lovely sumner break and we made some lasting memories, with the cottage being a big part of them."

The medieval street of Chipping Steps, lined with picturesque weavers’ cottages to the awe-inspiring Georgian Gothic church.

Just on the outskirts of Tetbury, you will find the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, 15,000 specimens from all over the globe offer the perfect place to relax. Westonbirt is truly one of the most beautiful tree gardens to be found anywhere in the world and a must in autumn.

Getting Around:
I would recommend using a car to get around but there is public transport, that has buses running to Cirencester and surrounding Cotswold villages.
The nearest train station to Tetbury is Kemble, which is around 7.5 miles away. London to Tetbury can catch a train from London to Kemble and transfer to Tetbury by bus or taxi. Some trains are direct while others involve changing at Swindon and take approximately 1 hour.

As you walk along the path from the parking area to the front of Kingscote Park House be prepared for your senses to be amazed! The path winds passed and under tall, mature trees, through a small oriental garden to the front of the House where you'll turn to face a beautiful, handsome property, with a wide, arched doorway, five tall windows (alluding to the high ceilings inside) and an exquisite terrace. This outer view of the House belies the even greater beauty inside where there's enough space for 19 guests to comfortably spend a lifetime - whatever the season. From every direction, the house looks out across formal gardens, parkland, courtyards or water features, some 28 acres of beautifully tended land where no chemicals have been used for 25 years.
The current owner/custodian of the Matara Estate has dedicated much of the last 25 years to convert the 28 acres that surround the House from grassland to the beautiful gardens and parklands seen today. Half of the land has been set aside for rewilding and the creation of four major habitats where deciduous plants and wildlife are thriving and teeming with fauna and flora. To date, the staff at Matara have planted over 1,500 trees in the parkland. A private tour can be arranged - just ask the caretaker on your arrival.
Inside, the House is at once spacious, elegant, cosy and unique, with stunning artwork on the walls and beautiful rugs on the floors. Its seven king-size bedrooms, one twin and one family room are all individually furnished, and named, and lead off a landing long and wide enough for a king. From the Wurlitzer juke box to the Regency balcony, from the opulent bathrooms to the homely kitchen, and from the striking sun room to the remarkable library and sitting room, guests will feel transported to another world as soon as they step inside.
Ground Floor
Throughout the ground floor (excepting the Kitchen and Informal Dining Room which has stone flagstones) the floors are carpeted with sisal and beautiful Asian or Middle Eastern rugs.
Entrance Hall:
Step through the beautiful arched doorway into the magnificent hallway, with a view along the entire length of the house to the Sun Room. A beautiful polished wooden floor is made cosy with thick rugs.
Bedroom 9 - Garland Room:
Tucked away, to the side of the main entrance, is the Garland Room, so-called because of the beautiful full-length floral curtains forming a garland around the window. Furnished with a king-size bed with bedside tables and reading lamps, dressing table, armchair and full-length mirror. The decorative stone fireplace features two scallop shells, which form part of the Kingscote family crest and coat of arms.
Formal Dining Room:
Just off the entrance hall is the dual-aspect Formal Dining Room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the parkland. Furnished with a long, double-width table to comfortably seat 19 guests, an antique sideboard and a large open fireplace with an impressively big mirror reflecting the light back into the room.
Sitting Room:
A cosy and inviting room with wide, Regency windows, providing a wonderful view out to the parkland. Sumptuously furnished with a four-seater sofa, three plump armchairs, a large footstool-table, plenty of reading lights and an open fire - the ideal place to curl up with a book or play a game.
The Sun Room:
At the end of the hallway is the delightful Sun Room, with its primrose-yellow walls adding to the light and bright feel of this area. Two high-back armchairs provide the perfect seating to retreat with a good book chosen from the House library or enjoy a gentle breeze coming through the French windows which open out from the Sun Room to a patio and formal private garden.
The Library:
Tucked away at the far end of the House, just off the Sun Room, is the fabulous Library with a wall of shelves chock-full of books covering many genres, topics and tales. In the cupboards below the books are plenty of family games to keep everyone amused and behind a large corner cupboard is a TV. The Library has a large open fireplace and is furnished with a three-seater sofa, an armchair and a long window seat with lots of lovely cushions.
Second Hallway/Passageway:
Off the main hallway is a wide passageway that leads to the oldest part of Kingscote House, evidenced by the original stone flooring. Head down three stone steps to the Kitchen, Informal Dining Room, Cloakroom, Utility Room, and a flight of stairs that leads to Bedroom 6-The Wisteria Room and a large Shower Room. (At the end of the passageway is a locked door behind which is the Matara office).
Look out for the original Wurlitzer juke box in the passageway just outside the Kitchen.
The Kitchen:
As you step into the kitchen, you'll instantly feel the change in history, with the lower ceiling providing the evidence that you're in the original part of the house, which dates back to the 13th Century. This beautifully cosy farmhouse kitchen with its rich yellow walls and seagrass blue units is fully equipped to cater for all who stay here, with a five-oven Aga and separate electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, double stone sink, and plenty of preparation surfaces, including a central island with an inset marble cutting board, knife rack and an overhead pots and pans rack. You can keep the cook company sitting on a comfy armchair next to the Aga or gaze out the window at the lily pond and private courtyard as you do the washing up.
Informal Dining Area:
At the far end of the Kitchen is a large dining area - a delightful space that comfortably sits 16 around a large rectangular country-kitchen table. Two long windows with window seats and comfy cushions look out over the private courtyard patio. In addition, there are two armchairs, a sideboard, a small TV and a Bluetooth speaker.
Utility Room:
The large Utility Room is accessed from two sides, via a door across the passageway from the Dining Area or from the parking area - handy for returning from walks with muddy boots and dogs and wet clothes. The Utility Room has a washing machine, dryer, sink and drying area.
Cloakroom:
On the opposite side of the passageway to the door into the kitchen is the downstairs cloakroom. Open the door and climb up three stone steps to the throne-like toilet, with a washbasin and vanity unit behind the door.
First Floor
Climb the beautiful stone staircase with its handmade iron spindles and mahogany handrail to the first-floor bedrooms and bath/shower rooms (listed as you come to them not by size):
Bedroom 1 - Rose Room:
At the top of the stairs, the Rose Room overlooks the front of the house with a great view over the gravel courtyard to the mature parkland trees. The pale blue walls and rose prints give a calming feel to this bedroom. (4.47 x 3.47m)

Bedroom 2 - Black & White Room:
This spacious and bright dual-aspect bedroom with its super-king size bed has views over the front and side of the House out to the extensive parkland beyond. Furnished with a wardrobe, bedside table and reading lights, an armchair, a velvet button-back chaise longue and two window seats - plenty of choice for sitting and relaxing while contemplating the views and the black and white Art Deco feel of this stunning room. (4.97 x 5.14m)
Bedroom 3 - Gold Room:
A beautiful and opulently decorated room overlooking the parkland, with accents of gold and brass - hence the Gold Room! Furnished with a king-size bed on a striking brass bedstead, bedside tables and reading lamps, two armchairs, a gold velvet footstool and two large mirrors. (Wardrobe/hanging provided but not shown.) (5.00 x 4.17m)
Bedroom 4 - Highland Room:
Overlooking the parkland to the side of the House, the Highland Bedroom is so-called because of the beautiful thistle curtains and tartan headboard and valence. Furnished with a king-size bed with bedside tables and unique ‘hare' reading lamps, two handmade leather ‘bucket' seats, a royal blue velvet chaise longue and two in-built wardrobes. This bedroom has an original Victorian fireplace (decorative only) and a collection of delightful paintings of ferns. (4.98 x 5.00m)
Bedroom 5 - Master Bedroom:
The luxurious master bedroom features a fabulous super-king-size four-poster bed and a beautiful bay window with views to the parkland and beyond. It's so spacious that this bedroom has, on occasion, been known to sleep nine bridesmaids alongside a bride… it's that big! Furnished with a tallboy, two armchairs, a Regency-style sofa, a large desk (in the bay window), with a chair and lamp, a large chest of drawers with a mirror and an original (decorative) fireplace. Hanging space for guests in the Master Bedroom is available in the cupboard on the Landing outside the bedroom. (7.61 x 6.35m)
Master Bathroom:
Directly beside the master bedroom, but also accessible to other guests, is the gorgeous green and pink main bathroom, featuring two parts: one with a freestanding, clawfoot bathtub, washbasin and armchair, and the other, through an archway, featuring a large walk-in shower, toilet, and heated towel rail and lovely views across the lower rooftops and kitchen courtyard with its serene lily pond.
The Landing:
It's not often that a landing gets a separate mention. However, the landing at Kingscote Park House is almost eight metres long and three metres wide, with spectacular paintings and wall hangings and is so impressive it warrants a special mention! Children, big and small, will love the openness and space.
Family Shower Room:
Open the door across the landing from Bedroom 4 and head down seven carpeted steps to this spacious and elegant Shower Room, with a large walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin, vanity unit and large mirror. An original window seat is a perfect spot to sit and dry off or place a towel and clothes.
Family Shower Room:
Across the Landing from Bedroom 3 is a spacious Shower Room with an electric, walk-in corner shower, toilet, large washbasin with a mirror over, a table for personal items and a heated towel rail. In the corner of the shower room is a door (with a lock) leading to six steps down to a landing that takes you to Bedroom 6, a large shower room and the stairs up to Bedrooms 7 and 8 - the two twin rooms in the attic. This ‘wing of the house can also be accessed from the ground floor via a staircase off the passageway to the Kitchen.
Bedroom 6 - Wisteria Room:
Overlooking the kitchen courtyard and lily pond, with two window seats to enjoy the views, this bedroom, over the Kitchen, is tucked away from the main action of the other bedrooms. Perhaps the cosiest bedroom of them all due to its lower ceilings, a testimony to being in the original part of Kingscote Park House. The Wisteria Room is so-called because of the ancient wisteria that has trailed itself around the windows. The bedroom has a beautiful king-size bed with a golden velvet head- and footboard, bedside tables with reading lamps, a hand built desk and chair and two in-built wardrobes with shelves and hanging space. (4.61 x 4.4 m)
Family Shower Room:
Cross the landing outside Bedroom 6 and you'll find another spacious and elegant Shower Room, with a large corner shower, toilet, washbasin, vanity unit and large mirror. This Shower Room also has an original window seat - the perfect spot to sit and dry off or place a towel and clothes.
Second Floor
Head up the carpeted staircase, with a banister, to a small landing that sits between the two twin bedrooms tucked away in the converted loft. Both bedrooms feature the original, exposed A-frame timbers, and, unlike, many loft rooms, the ceilings are high enough so that all but the extremely tall won't bump their heads on the beams!
Bedroom 7 - Family bedroom:
Turn right at the top of the stairs to the family bedroom with one king-size bed and one single. The room has a storage cupboard, three comfy floor cushions, sisal carpeting and a Persian-style rug. There are great views from the dormer window (with blind) out over the rooftops of the other Matara Centre buildings and down to the kitchen courtyard below. (Note: the door off this bedroom leads to a private storeroom and is kept locked.) (4.88 x 4.52m)
Bedroom 8 - Twin 2:
Turn left at the top of the stairs to the second of the twin rooms with two standard-size single beds on pretty, white iron bedsteads each with a bedside table and lamp. The room has a small corner cupboard for hanging clothes, a unique standing desk-cum dressing table with a mirror above, a Lloyd Loom armchair, sisal carpeting and a Persian-style rug. There are great views from the dormer window (with blind) out over the rooftops of the other Matara Centre buildings and down to the kitchen courtyard below. (4.88 x 4.52m)
Outside
Kingscote Park House sits on 28 acres of community public parkland, lovingly tended land where guests, as well as the public, can enjoy several formal gardens, an eight-sided labyrinth, woodland paths, a series of small lakes and parkland, and public footpaths, including the Cotswold Way, right on the doorstep, and the village pub just steps away.
Directly outside the Kitchen is a beautiful, secluded private courtyard garden with a lily pond, seating and BBQ - all for the private use of guests staying at Kingscote Park House. A delightful stone archway leads through to another patio where there is a hot tub for guests' private use. The hot tub can also be accessed via the Sun Room.
The owner/custodian of the Matara Estate has dedicated much of the last 25 years to converting the 28 acres that surround the House from grassland - once grazed by racehorses* to the beautiful gardens and parklands seen today. (*In 1820, Sir Thomas Henry Kingscote laid out a racecourse in the grounds, the round course was a mile and a half long with a straight run of six furlongs!)
- "We just love this place, it is perfect for our annual family gathering with all our dogs. Staff are lovely and grounds beautiful. Definitionally hope to return" - "A wonderful 2 day stay at Kingscote, everything was perfect including the weather! The house is beautiful and the grounds amazing. The kitchen was well equipped and the table perfect for informal gatherings and meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the splendour of the place and grounds, all beautifully kept and wonderfully clean, in fact the photos do not do it justice. All the bedrooms were a great size and the extra touches of dressing gowns and slippers made it all the more special, bathrooms modern and all well appointed. In fact, it was so good, I am about to book it again .... A big thank you to all the super friendly and helpful staff on site, perfect!"

- "The location was perfect to walk to town, Tesco’s or the local gym! Loved the simple but cottage style decor. The beds were super comfy and the whole place was very clean. We would definitely stay again. Host was very communicative." - "We had a great stay, Tetbury is a nice town... we just happened to be there during the wool sack festival. It was fun to see the town transform with rides, food, shopping and the up hill wool sack races. The house had 3 bedrooms each with an on suite bathrooms. . Full kitchen and washer and dryer inn the basement. Note all upper and lower floors are accessed via spiral stairs which could be an issue for some people. The only issue might be parking. Only free street parking is available. We asked a neighbor where they suggest we park and they pointed us to a spot nearby that worked perfectly.. look on a map for a residential street that dead ends near the property... there you will find 4 parking spots that are a short wall to the property. (The suggested alternative lot is much further away and requires payment at certain times. During the 8 days we only were able to park in in the free street parking 2 times. We spent most of our 8 days doing day trips, this property made a good home base. Tesco and co-op are near by, so it was easy to stock up on food "

- "It was very clean and exactly as described in the listing. Easy walk into Tetbury where there are plenty of cafes and restaurants. Great location for visiting Westonbirt and exploring the Cotswolds." - "Felt like home A bit of a hilly walk to the village as we had no car" - "Well located and quiet, all comforts. Upstairs without elevator, steep staircase. Not clear about the keys, the parking lot is offset from the entrance, as the house where the parking lot is has no number, confusion about the entrance to the apartment. The key box is not below the house number, but behind the house number plate, fright.. Very poor responsiveness of the apartment manager (24 hours). Untimely triggering of the fire alarm by cooking two steaks ... No shutter, in the morning the room very well lit despite the curtain, problem in summer."

- "We had a lovely 2 night stay in the apartment above the Knead bakery. Access and parking were around the back of the property, which was a bit tight to drive into but we managed it. The apartment is compact and has a lovey cosy feel. Well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The stairs up to the bedroom are quite steep but managable, maybe would not suit everyone. Tetbury is a very picturesque market town with nice pubs and restaurants. We had our dog with us and did not have a problem finding dog friendly places to eat. Would recommend the pizzas at Orland and The Close hotel for drinks and/bar food."

- "I’m not sure that my husband and I fully appreciated the small size of the cottage. There was no room in the bedroom for our suitcases so in fact, I kept mine in the lounge. The narrow, spiral staircases were more challenging than we expected too. However, we had a wonderful stay and the cottage was warm, welcoming and extremely clean and comfortable. Thank you." - "I’m not sure that my husband and I fully appreciated the small size of the cottage. There was no room in the bedroom for our suitcases so in fact, I kept mine in the lounge. Closeby is the Forestry Commission’s Westonbirt Arboretum, one of the largest collections of rare shrubs and trees in Europe, whilst further afield (but still within easy driving distance) are the elegant Regency cities of Bath and Cheltenham, Shakespeare’s Stratford and other attractions such as the internationally renowned Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust.

Oldham House a luxurious retreat of beauty and tranquility. A walled garden hides an entanglement of rambling roses, nestled behind a Georgian facade, right in the midst of historic Tetbury. Contemporary Soho Home velvet furnishings, mingle with antique oak, ancient chests, fresh linens & worn flagstones. Savour cool elegance & 'sink-in' comfort. It's country living but with the convenience of everything on your doorstep! Amble to local eateries, browse renowned antique shops, step into the Highgrove Shop Inspired by the Royal Gardens, pick up a bottle of fizz and stroll back.
The Grade II listed Georgian home epitomises elegant design and laid back, indulgent comfort. Every room is beautifully proportioned, a classical symmetry creating a harmonious environment. Sash windows frame natural beauty, light pours through Georgian windows and the tonal colour palette unifies the space and invites the guest to indulge in its' serenity.
You're welcomed into Oldham House via an impressive Hall, an authentic Georgian architrave & ceiling rose with an Empire style chandelier. The beautifully restored oak, parquet floor opens into the Kitchen on the right. Drawing Room & Morning Room on the left and ahead is the Orangery leading into the garden. The staircase, fitted with a natural, sisal runner leads up to the first and second floors
Drawing Room
An inviting, roaring fire in the marble fireplace for the winter months, adds warmth to this luxuriant, moss green Drawing Room, delineated by an elaborate Georgian frieze and shutters framing the sash windows. A richly pleated, lichen velvet sofa and Soho Home boucle armchairs add opulence to the room with a straw, gold coffee table, laden with hearty art and photography books, inviting you to 'tuck up' with friends and family
Morning Room
Leading into the Morning Room via an arch with original Victorian pitch pine flooring, this is a lovely room for dinner. A French antique oak table, resplendent with acorn legs, comfortably seats dinner for eight with ample, cream leather and navy velvet Timothy Oulton dining chairs or a more cosy fit for ten. Lavish, octagonal mirrors sit above the Bath stone fireplace and the long sash windows lead the eye into the Orangery - at night all is twinkling
Orangery
A magical, glass oasis with shuttered shade to enjoy morning coffee as the sun stretches across the garden. Or a simple supper, with the rain atmospherically pounding on the glass and running down below to the well, and a river that’s long since sunk beneath Tetbury. The room has a stretch-out linen sofa for slouching whilst listening to the birds, music or watching rivulets of rain on the glass. The traditional English pine table readily compliments the French aesthetic, as the Charente candelabra reflects the midday sun. A tranquil room, with large York flagstones, stone coloured linen and wrought iron chairs, sink-in cushions and dimmable lights for ambience
Kitchen
This historic connection with Oldham house is no more prevalent than in the original flagstones of the kitchen. A well worn route show the passage of time over centuries, where feet have worn a path from the second front door to the back of the house. A shallow ‘hollow,' where cooks cooked, over what would have been an open fire place, where there now sits an AGA. It creates a pleasant ambience to feel the history of the house.
The kitchen is well stocked: an Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, Nutribullet blender, Air Fryer oven, a dish washer, filtered water tap, secondary fridge and a separate gas hob for the summer months when preferable to cooking on the AGA. The AGA has four ovens, two circular boiling and simmering hotplates and a separate warming hot plate. The antique, oak side board stocks plenty of crockery and the kitchen leans towards a French influence, utilising a Provencal tiled table, perfect for preparing meals and a large French dresser . 'Claude' the Stag peruses all proceedings
Utility
Good for boots and stuff. A washer/dryer, PullyMaid, useful Belsize sink & an American fridge/freezer. You'll find irons and ironing boards, cleaning products in the cupboards. Separate WC cloakroom
First Floor Landing
The natural sisal runner leads to the landing, an iron column radiator warms the home. Each radiator has a 'Bee motif' on the stays, a nod towards the love of nature that the house embodies. To the left through a narrow door is the Dressing Room. The sitting room is directly in front and bedroom One immediately to the right
Sitting Room
Deep claret walls, tobacco floorboards, a Bath stone fireplace and double Georgian windows, resplendent with window seats and shutters. Opposite, a Magnolia tree flowers in the Spring. One wall lined with a library of books face the Rajasthani antique chest, on it ceramic lamps & books. Another table is fashioned from re-claimed oak, once part of the sea defences in Poole harbour. Photographs nod towards sailing & the love of the Sea. Inviting, pale pink linen sofas, a stone linen divan and similar linen pouffe-stool encourage you to 'dive in' for leisurely reading or escapism into a movie. Facing West the sun set will radiate a warm hue on the walls during the summer months
Bedroom One
overlooks the garden, sash windows framed by Bengali silks and soft wattle walls that creates a tranquil atmosphere. A King size, linen upholstered bed, with an indulgent hyper wool, luxury soft 3000 sprung mattress easily evokes restorative sleep. Restored, original pine floorboards and a Victorian fireplace with cast iron acorns, lend character to a beautiful room with plenty of hanging space in the in-built wardrobe and a large freestanding mahogany bureaux
Dressing Room
A wall of wardrobes, locked for the property owners usage and a door leads to room six. The Royal purple dressing room is open to enter into the large, family bathroom
Bathroom
A spacious bathroom with original wooden flooring, a newly fitted Burlington Edwardian wash stand and Edwardian high rise chrome cistern & WC. A separate shower and ample bath for ultimate relaxation. A French cabinet stores fresh towels and toiletries, a large antique mirror with pitted silver creates a romanic feel, and the cast iron column radiator beneath the sash windows underpins the traditional style
Second Floor
The stairs continues up to the second floor; the landing exposes the original, broad oak and elm floor boards. Straight ahead is a second large bathroom. Bedroom Two & Bedroom Three to your left, Bedroom Four down a small corridor and Bedroom Five immediately to the right overlooking the garden. Those of statuesque height need to watch your head!
Bedroom Two
A homely, comforting bedroom: a Kingsize iron bed with a spring King pocket Tuscany 2000 mattress. Victorian pitch pine floorboards, a bedside table and linen lamp, traditional column radiator and two built in wardrobes with plenty of hanging space. Dimmable overhead lighting create ambiance and the small sash window looks out across the Cotswold stone roofs, reflected in the opposing mirror. The Victoria cast iron fireplace adds authenticity to a beautiful bedroom
Bedroom Three
Facing West and benefiting from the evening light, the rich claret walls, stripy crimson curtains and scarlet eiderdown create an opulent style with touches of gold decadence. Sash windows look to the front of the house, a characterful Victorian fire place sits angled in the corner opposite the column radiator and a metal, lattice chest of draws provide plenty of storage. Dimmable overhead lightings and lamps are next to the bed. Hanging space is on the back of the door and additional hanging rail can be provided
Bathroom
Beautifully refurbished, a spacious bathroom with tumbled limestone flooring, Cotswold, limestone wall tiles and an antique Italian mirror, running the length of the wall, with sash windows looking onto New Church Road. An ample bath with a large, rainfall shower head and separate hand held shower for a quick shower or an indulgent soak. Edwardian style, pedestal sink and a chrome cistern compliment the plum and lilac hues. A pine cabinet stocks toiletries and the heated towel rail keeps fluffy, white towels warm and dry
Bedroom Four
The claret palette compliments the rich patina of the original, elm floor boards. A king size bed boasting an upholstered linen headboard and crisp Blenheim 100% luxury cotton sheets, sits centrally framed by butler side tables and putty linen lamps. An oak chest of drawers provides plenty of shelving and coats hooks for hanging on the back of doors with an addition clothes rail
Bedroom Five
A spacious bedroom with a Super Kingsize bed and zip mattress that separate into two single beds if so desired. Original, rich elm floorboards softened by rose hue walls, sash windows framed by opaque, chocolate drapes and a painted vintage chest of drawers create a relaxed ambiance. A Smart flat-screen TV with streaming services & remote is provided. Several lamps, a bedroom armchair, and an ancient fireplace create an inviting space to tuck up for the evening.
Walled Garden
The pièce de résistance a secret, walled garden in the midst of a market town. A beautifully private lawn surrounded by Cotswold dry stone walling with ancient roses, hanging honeysuckle and twisted wisteria. A small path wides it's way from the Orangery door, a cottage garden planted with Sea of Blossom, Salvia, Lavender and Nemesia leads towards small boxed hedges, and beyond the arbour a lawn, framed with Japanese Anemone, pink Phlox and Alliums appearing earlier in the Summer. During the Spring a blanket of Snowdrops, Crocuses and Daffodils rear their heads. Over time the garden will be planted with more wild flowers that encourage a natural habitat for birds, bees and insects creating an organic place of tranquility
