- "Waterlily Studio was a really comfortable and cosy retreat. It was beautifully located at the edge of the farm looking over a lake, with lots of birdlife around. Being able to walk around the lake and out onto the reed bed path helped us feel really in touch with nature. We even saw the resident Barn Owl early one morning. With a hob, microwave/oven and fridge it was so easy to prepare and cook our own meals, but Wareham also has some lovely restaurants and cafés if you want a change. All aspects of the studio were comfortable - and if the weather is fine, outdoor furniture is provided. I loved the little touches like the waterlily sculpture in the garden and waterlily glass painting pictures by the bed. A small tub of bird seed was also provided for feeding the garden birds - the Robin was particularly friendly. All in all this is perfect accommodation for enjoying wildlife and walking. A 10 minute drive takes you to RSPB Arne and Swanage and the Jurassic coast is just half an hour away. I can’t wait to return!"

Built in 1770, this charming house, situated in the historic Saxon town of Wareham, is ideal for a family, or two families, who want the ease of having plenty of space, a large walled garden and access to the shops, restaurants and amenities of Wareham, as well as all the stunning sites of Dorset, including Corfe Castle and the nearby beaches of Purbeck.

If you are looking for a place to unwind this cottage has the perfect answer! This beautifully furnished three-bedroom bungalow is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in its own grounds in Church Knowle and with all modern facilities. Church Knowle nestles at the foot of Knowle Hill and is a delightful small 13c village built in Purbeck stone with thatched cottages and lying within a conservation area surrounded by beautiful countryside, on the Isle of Purbeck just a mile from historic Corfe Castle and 2.5 miles from the coast. The village has a wonderful pub, which serves excellent food, an historic 13c church and a newly equipped children’s play park.
It is well situated for numerous walks in the Purbeck Hills and lots of interesting places to visit including, Durlston Country Park, Blue Pool, Fossil Museum, The Tank Museum, the ancient Saxon walled city of Wareham and the steam train to Swanage - to name but a few.

Entrance to the bungalow is through the south-facing conservatory with relaxing chairs and on into a sitting area with a sofa, comfortable chairs and wood burning stove, which leads into a dining area with table and chairs. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, oven, gas hob and dishwasher. When standing at the sink you will enjoy a most beautiful view looking towards the Purbeck Hills with Kingston Church and Swyre Head in the distance. There is an inner hall with a place to hang coats and a door to the garden with the three bedrooms leading off this hall. One bedroom has twin (3') beds and views to the garden; the second has a king size (5.6) bed and an en-suite shower room; the third bedroom has king size (5.6) beds and French windows looking south, with a view over the hills and with steps leading down to its own patio area. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower, loo and basin. Apart from the kitchen and bathrooms there are fitted carpets throughout.
As you approach the property a pair of double gates open onto a gravel drive which widens to form a turning area and parking for several cars and a boat for those who like sailing. The rear garden is completely private surrounded by trees and a beech hedge with a good size patio for table and chairs.

Kids loved Swanage, and Corfe Castle a big hit, both the castle and village. Wareham carnival was good fun and it remained dry. Please note : the Lulworth Ranges are a six mile stretch of coastline requisitioned by the MOD during WWII which extends from Lulworth Cove to Kimmeridge Bay. The ranges are open to the public during school holidays and almost all weekends. Intermittent firing from the ranges can be heard throughout the entire Lulworth to Kimmeridge area during the week and in school term time although it is perfectly safe and none of our local walks are affected by closures. Occasional night time firing does occur when the ranges are closed to the public.

This pretty south-facing country house is full of light, charm and comfort. There are 4 double bedrooms and a 5th with 2 single beds (ideal for children). There are 3 bathrooms including one with a walk in shower.

Situated fifteen minutes walk from the sea at Lulworth cove on the unspoiled Purbeck coast the Lynches is situated on a hillside with wide south facing views to the sea and surrounded by fields. Built of Purbeck stone around the beginning of the last century it is set in two acres of secluded terraced lawns and gardens including a large area ideal for children's games.

The very fully equipped kitchen opens onto a bright glass conservatory. There is an Aga cooker as well as an extra oven and hob. There is a pretty spacious dining room with a large round 18th. century dining table and sideboard. The large living room has an open fire, a piano and french doors to the terrace.

There is a huge marble table with seating for summer eating on the south facing terrace and there is a sun umbrella and barbecue.

There are also plenty of beaches to explore, Swanage, Studland, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Arne and Poole. Durlston Country Park where you may see Dolphins in the Bay. The Steam Railway from Norden or Corfe Castle to Swanage, Also just a short drive away are Monkey World and The Tank Museum famous for its TankFest every year!
Wareham Quay and River are not far where you can hire a kayak or small boat or even sit back and relax whilst you are taken on a steam paddleboat tour of Wareham river. Of course you could bring your own paddle board too to explore but these can also be hired from Wareham Boat hire.
There are so many walks to enjoy, coastal paths and hikes you will be absolutely spoilt for choice.
For those rainy days there is Wareham Sports Centre where you can go swimming, or Tower Park Leisure complex.
There really is so much to see and do, your visit to Dorset will be a memorable one.

Summary:
Our gorgeous cottage sits a stone's throw from the River Frome and is superbly located for the beaches of the Jurassic Coast - including the iconic Durdle Door. There are wonderful walking and cycling routes on the doorstep and our lovely wooded gardens are perfect for losing the kids. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, a living room with log burner and a newly fitted kitchen with all you would need. The master bedroom has an en suite and there is a further family bathroom, downstairs toilet, utility room and dining room as well.

The Space:
There is plenty of parking, central heating and all linens are provided for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they stay downstairs and off of the furniture - please keep an eye on them in the garden though as it is not secure and we are close to the road and railway line.

Guests will have the whole property to themselves.

The Neighborhood:
We enjoy a wonderful setting just off the the A352 - and enjoy great access to Wareham, Poole and great beaches like Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Great walking and cycle routes are straight out of the door adjacent to the River Frome.

Getting Around:
We are just located just off of the A352 between Wareham and Wool. Loads of great walks on the doorstep.

Other Things to Note:
Children - more than welcome - but please keep an eye on them in the garden ( a determined child could get through the hedges ) as it is not full secure and there is a road and railway line and a river near by.

Dog owners - the gardens are not fully secure and dogs can escape through the hedges so please keep an eye on them as we are close to the road and railway line . £25 pet fee - 2 dogs max

Our flat is accessed via a private entrance off South street in Wareham. It is on the first and second floor above our well known tea room & restaurant, which is open during the day only. On the first floor there is the lounge, bathroom, kitchen and a single bedroom. On the top floor there is the large double bedroom and a single bedroom. The property was built in 1736, and retains it original features. It is centrally located for the Isle of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast. Nearby are the attractions of Arne Nature Reserve (as featured on BBC), Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Lulworth Cove & Studland Beach.

There really could not be anything to complain about, the standard of accommodation here is exceptional. The location is great, we basically parked the car up and hardly used it; just a short walk down to the amenities of Lulworth Cove, and very close to the coastal path for great hikes in either direction. Just be aware that there are no local supermarkets close by - the Londis round the corner appeared to be closed down, although with the provision of the hamper you shouldn't need much for a good couple of days."

You will be greeted by gates opening onto the large double aspect drive, stairs and ramps allow access to the raised front door, and a bench allows you to savour the spectacular views.

The front door opens onto a reception room, with a church pew for removing those muddy boots, and plenty of hooks and storage.

From the reception room you enter a kitchen, which is large and has everything you may need if staying in to cook. There is a hob including dual ovens, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster & kettle and all the utensils and kitchenware you might need.

There are two exits from the kitchen, the first leading to a living room with amazing views over Bindon Hills opposite, the room is furnished with multiple sofas and includes a wood burner. A smart television, which has apps for the various streaming services and DVD player should hopefully keep you entertained in the evenings.

The second exit leads into a large dining room which shares the same amazing views over Bindon and the village, there is plenty of space for a dining table that can easily seat 8, along with a sofa for chilling. Patio doors open out to the large garden and patio area, the room makes the transition between inside and outside very easy.

There is also a downstairs wet room with WC, walk in shower and sink off the dining room.

Venturing upstairs you will find the three bedrooms along with a family bathroom.

The master bedroom overlooks the front drive, and has beautiful views over the hills opposite, it provides built in wardrobes, a chest of draws and a comfy to chair to make getting changed a joy. This room has a king size bed fitted with a brand new mattress.

The next bedroom again overlooks the hills opposite, this time with a double bed, again with brand new mattress. Built in wardrobes and a chest of draws again give you all the storage you may need.

The last bedroom overlooks the rear of the property with views of the hill beyond, this time a twin room with two single beds again with brand new mattresses.

Upstairs there is also a family bathroom with bath, in bath shower, basin and WC.

All rooms are carpeted and feature black out blinds or curtains, a hairdryer is provided and all rooms have ample storage for your clothes.

All bed Linens are hotel quality from “Mitre” and both bath and hand towels are provided. Mattresses are award winning models from the PremierInn range.

A washing machine can also be found under the stairs in the hall should you need to refresh some of your clothes during your stay.

For families we also provide a travel cot, including mattress and mattress sheets, highchair, baby bath and potty.

This Purbeck stone family small holding is within easy access of the coast, heathland and Wareham town and a plethora of eating places. We often have a number piggies and orphan lambs in the spring which our guests love to help feed, the children can spend hours collecting acorns for the pigs who do love acorns just like Eeyore or was it Tigger! T
The guest suite has its own entrance via an outside staircase and has a sitting room, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and bath and double bedroom

There is a comfortable super King bed (which can become a twin) and there can be an option to sleep two more at a small extra cost on the sofa bed, in the sitting room of the suite. We can provide a travel cot, a "put you up" bed and high chair. Please note that children of any age count as one extra person.

The suite is self-contained and we look forward to meeting our guests. We provide the first two mornings breakfast for you to cook at a time that suits you in your kitchenette, this consists of a platter of our very own sausages, bacon and eggs from local hens. There is enough cookware to cook a gourmet meal should you wish, just bring the ingredients. There are some store cupboard basics available and decent supermarkets just in Wareham.

Although we are a small holding and have one dog we do not allow pets, ours or anyone else's in the apartment.

There is so much to do from this base here. For instance, spectacular coastal vistas, heathland walks and oodles of history from the Tank Museum (amongst many museums) to Thomas Hardy to Laurence of Arabia, Monkey World, Swanage Railway. etc Have a look at our guide book which is just a taste of what the area has to offer.

- "The location of Purbeck Escape is ideal for anyone wanting to explore the Dorset coast, everything we wanted to see was a 20/30 minute drive away. The house is in a quiet housing estate but still has a co-op close by (approx 10 minutes walking) and we were able to have a Sainsburys food shop delivered. No cleanliness issues at all, everything was pristine and sparkling. Maybe a few more kitchen utensils such as better knives, a measuring jug and some serving/casserole dishes but nothing we couldn’t get round. Great communication with the owner. Gable Cottage is conveniently situated close to the Common and Village amenities including the bakery, general store, tea shop and pubs.

This light and airy cottage offers comfortable furnishing and modern fittings. The farmhouse style kitchen has every modern convenience and a refectory table to accommodate 6 for indoor dining. Alternatively, enjoy dining in the pretty garden looking over to the Purbeck hills from breakfast through to supper. The triple aspect lounge has patio doors opening on to the garden. A variety of board games and jigsaw puzzles are available to enjoy a relaxing evening after a day out. Gable Cottage has three bedrooms: the master with a King Size bed, a twin room and a small third bedroom with full-size bunk beds. All bedrooms have bedside tables and ample storage. There is a bathroom with shower over the bath and a ground floor shower room, both with full suites.

Corfe Castle, voted one of the top 10 romantic ruins in the UK, is located centrally on the Isle of Purbeck, from where you can venture out to the nearby beaches of Studland, Swanage and Lulworth Cove. The restored steam train from Corfe Castle to Swanage is within a short stroll and offers a relaxing ride to Swanage. The Isle of Purbeck Golf course is close by. The Cottage has guide books and maps for the many local attractions to help you make the most of your holiday whatever the season.

Little Oddity Annex is bright and cosy accommodating two guests. Until recently,It was part of our cottage next door and is believed to have been built with stone from the Castle ruins It is now a separate self- contained unit with its own entrance.
There is a small patio area outside the annex door with garden furniture and a barbecue for guests to use.
Parking for one car is off road next to the annex
It is a short walk to Corfe village, the Castle ruins, Church, shops and Steam railway

The space
The annex has a bed-sitting room with a 5ft bed , comfortable furniture, table, chairs, chest of drawers, curtained hanging space for clothes. TV etc. There is a kitchenette with sink unit, microwave and fridge, single electric hob, kettle and toaster. Also , plates, cups , cutlery saucepan, frying pan etc. shelves and cupboard.Also,a shower room with wash-basin , shower and toilet.

There is a table with two chairs on the small patio, outside the annex door. Also a small barbecue. Guests may sit on the main lawn by request.

Other things to note
Good pub across the road with lovely garden. They serve very good meals. Short walk to village for 3 other pubs who serve excellent snacks and meals. There are also coffee shops. gift shops, a small museum and a model village. Our village food store and shop is excellent.it is also a post office.

Entrance to the Castle is just off the village square.
The steam train runs regularly to Swanage which is a busy little town with a lovely beach. Evening dinner is served on the train during some evenings.
The bus stop for Bournemouth, Poole , Wareham ,Swanage and Studland is just outside the cottage.
There are two Golf Clubs in the area. One is the Isle Of Purbeck Golf Club in Studland and the other is The Wareham Golf Club

Semi-rural position: just a few yards from the track into Wareham Forest. Our house is a four-minute walk from local bus stops and a 7-minute walk through the park to Wareham Railway Station. Buses go to many destinations along the Jurassic Coast, including Swanage, Corfe, Poole, Lulworth Cove and Weymouth. Train services to Dorchester, Weymouth and London.

The space
A two-room suite (double bedroom/small sitting room) for the exclusive use of guests. A modern shared bathroom (for which guests have priority). House also has a second WC. A bright, modern 4-bedroom semi with a sunny and spacious rear patio and garden which guests are encouraged to enjoy. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the sitting room, along with a small fridge.

Suze and Geoff enjoy meeting people from all backgrounds and from anywhere in the world. In case you have allergies, we have two easygoing cats.

Bindon Lodge is perfect for walkers: it’s on a private lane and footpath in Lulworth with direct access to the south west coastal path on Bindon Hill, and is a few minutes walk from Lulworth Cove.

Ground floor guest bedroom with a double bed (mahogany low end sleigh bed) with patio doors opening to the terraced garden, with a private bathroom. Perfect for walkers wanting a quiet overnight stay and breakfast in a family home. Ideal for those wanting to leave the car behind and walk to the surrounding beaches and Jurassic coastline. There is also private off-road parking for those arriving by car.

As this is a family home our guest room is only available on a Friday and Saturday night in term time and during selected parts of the school holidays.

This self-contained Bijou space is connected to the side of our property and has its own entrance. It is suitable for one or two people and contains everything needed for a mini break.
We are aware that the shower may be snug for some, however please do speak to us and we are happy for you to use the shower in the main house.

We are a short walk from the Saxon town of Wareham. Visit Wareham quay where you can hire water vessels to explore the river. Lots of great restaurants.

The Little Barn is a 200 year old, thatched, cob cottage. It is a self-contained studio guest room with its entrance in the garden of the main house.
It is perfect for a couple using the comfortable king-sized bed. It is thoughtfully decorated and furnished with modern fittings, including a cleverly fitted kitchenette. This picturesque cottage is located in the quiet, rural setting of Shitterton, in the village of Bere Regis, Dorset. We are within easy reach of Dorset's many attractions.

The space
The Little Barn has a hotel quality luxurious king size bed. We use high quality, professionally laundered bed linen and towels, which are included in the rent. Drawers under the bed and hanging space are provided for storage.
The kitchenette has a combination microwave, oven, grill, a twin induction zone hob, a fridge with freezer compartment and a dishwasher. It is well equipped for two people with all the usual facilities.
The en-suite shower room is equipped with a Mira power shower and cubicle, a basin with shaver socket and standard toilet. It is tiled throughout.
The Little Barn has French windows onto its own quiet part of the garden for seating and eating.

The Little Barn is a 'Tiny Home'. It is a one room studio with an ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette. The pictures are as accurate as we can make them.
The historic nature of the building means that the doorway is lower than standard. Taller visitors will need to duck!
Due to the thatched roof no naked flames are allowed in The Little Barn or in the surrounding garden.
Also due to the increased fire risk, electric vehicles, mobility scooters, e scooters, e bikes etc and their associated batteries, may not be charged on the premises. However, there are a number of e-charging points locally.
