The Hydeaway, is a bright, spacious yet cosy holiday flat set in a tranquil location. The accommodation is open plan but has a separate bedroom with a large double bed and with an en-suite shower room. There is an option of a single bed in the living area to suit a family or friends..

With forestry walks and bicycle routes on the doorstep (a good bike hire shop is located at Wareham Station) `and access to a private tennis court, the property is only 5 minutes away from a golf course and close to the Jurassic coast. It provides the perfect relaxed or sporting holiday location, but only 12 minutes drive from restaurants and shops in Wareham, The garden provides a tranquil area to relax in and enjoy a glass of wine and a BBQ.
The owners house is close by to offer help but otherwise you have complete privacy to enjoy your holiday with parking by your front door.

The owners are there if you have any questions, but furthermore respect your privacy to the fullest. The flat had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed, a powerful shower and a washing machine. There are plenty of walks from the doorstep. A car is a must, because there are no groceryshops within walking distance. Wareham can be reached within 15-20 minutes by car by a beautiful drive, and is a lovely town. Other beautiful places to visit are within easy reach as well. Highly recommended!"

Situated on Wareham Common approximately 800m from the centre of Wareham surrounded by water meadows and a working dairy farm. The apartment occupies the ground floor of a Grade 2 listed water mill dating back to c1750. The River Piddle runs through the garden on one side and a stream on the other. The apartment is fresh, modern and sleeps 4. During peak season we have a 7 night minimum stay but out of season we are open to shorter breaks.
Bed 1 has a king size bed, TV with Freesat and a modern en-suite shower room, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. There are french doors to the garden.
Bed 2 has large twin beds, TV with Freesat, window to front and use of the modern bathroom with shower over bath. Wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet and dressing table.
Both showers have good water pressure from a combi boiler.
The lounge has 2 x leather reclining sofas, 1 electric and 1 manual. 52" wall mounted TV with Freesat & DVD player. Windows to side & front with French door to garden. There is a quiet area to the front with another sofa and oak dresser. A room divider is full of DVD's to watch.
The kitchen is large and has a farmhouse type kitchen table. Good to gather around when a meal is being prepared. Large range cooker with easy clean induction hob, washing machine (Not washer/dryer), dishwasher, microwave, large fridge freezer and plenty of cupboards. It is in a modern ivory shaker style with Oak worktops and Farmhouse type sink. The kitchen French doors provide the access to the garden.
There is a very large garden to the rear. We have allotted a section of the formal garden immediately outside of the apartment for your use with garden table and chairs, sunshade The rest of the garden is a bit wilder and lightly wooded with the river running its length and a stream in the middle. Venturing to the end of the garden finds some nice quiet spots but children should always be accompanied in the garden due to the proximity of the water.
Location is ideal. Being far enough away from the town but only a 15 minute walk to the shops and many pubs and restaurants.
There is ample parking just outside the front door.

- "John’s flat surpassed all expectations because the photos do not do it full justice. This was once a water mill - the weir and mill stream are still intact. The river Piddle flows right by and attracts various water fowl. There is a small working farm next door to add the the feel of “being away from it” and we were lucky enough to meet and make friends with “Alfie” the farm dog. There is a pretty garden out the back with access to the river. The flat is extremely well equipped. The beds are very comfy, and the reclining sofas! The kitchen is excellent and for once we found a place that had chef quality sharp knives, and a knife sharpener. There is also an induction stove. A couple of days there the weather was cool enough for the heating to come on. The house has excellent slim vertical wall radiators that you would never find in the US. Ditto the heated towel racks in the bathrooms. Finally, John was an excellent host. He met us at the door when we arrived and gave us a tour and demonstration of the appliances. He communicated well before our arrival and answered any questions quickly. This is a top rental and very convenient for exploring both Purbeck, and areas north and west. And if you don’t know the area, there are a couple of good pubs down on the river, and dozens more on the Isle of Purbeck."

Our flat is accessed via a private entrance off South street in Wareham. It is on the first and second floor above our well known tea room & restaurant, which is open during the day only. On the first floor there is the lounge, bathroom, kitchen and a single bedroom. On the top floor there is the large double bedroom and a single bedroom. The property was built in 1736, and retains it original features. It is centrally located for the Isle of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast. Nearby are the attractions of Arne Nature Reserve (as featured on BBC), Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Lulworth Cove & Studland Beach.

It is a lovely large property, with big spacious and airy rooms, lots of space to spread out and not feel on top of each other. Wonderful garden, although with the weather at the time we went, unfortunately no opportunity to make use of it. The house is so well stocked; everything has been thought about, even down to the provision of umbrellas and walking poles in the hallway, and a great Nespresso coffee machine with spare pods. The welcome hamper of goods was fantastic, especially with everything sourced from the local area. There really could not be anything to complain about, the standard of accommodation here is exceptional. The location is great, we basically parked the car up and hardly used it; just a short walk down to the amenities of Lulworth Cove, and very close to the coastal path for great hikes in either direction. Just be aware that there are no local supermarkets close by - the Londis round the corner appeared to be closed down, although with the provision of the hamper you shouldn't need much for a good couple of days."

Ideally situated on the outskirts of the Historic town of Wareham, the gateway to the Jurassic coast, within easy reach of Durdle door, Swanage, Lulworth Cove, Corfe castle and the Studland peninsular. There is a bus stop and 2 local shops a short walk away, as well as a pub and Indian restaurant/take away in the village. Wareham train station is within1mile. Wareham forest, with bike tracks/walking trails is accessed at the end of the road.

A distinctive period cottage in a unique location with tastefully presented interior. This is one of only three cottages built on top of the old Saxon walls in Wareham. Originally there were six cottages, built between the mid and the late 1800s which have now been opened up into three. The cottage is the first one along a gravel footpath and is fronted by the Saxon dyke. The path only goes to the cottages so it is an oasis of peace and calm, yet within two minutes of Wareham town centre. To the rear of the cottage there is a lovely cottage style garden.

The cottage is a short walk from the River Frome and Wareham's picturesque Quay. The town of Wareham is a market town with street market every Saturday and Farmers market on a Thursday. A short drive will take you to many attractions including the National Trust's Corfe

Castle, sandy beaches at Arne, Swanage, Studland or Poole, thousands of acres of nature reserves at Arne or Stoborough, as featured on the BBC's Springwatch series, a delight for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The County town of Dorchester is easily accessible as is the larger town of Bournemouth with seven miles of sandy beaches.

Little Westport is a charming 1960s Colt House in a peaceful setting with a large garden leading to the River Frome and overlooking the Purbeck Hills. A perfect location for a break for walking, cycling, exploring the area, or for a longer family holiday with numerous nearby attractions and activities for children. All the amenities of the Saxon walled town of Wareham are just a 5 minute walk away and it's only a short drive to the beautiful sandy beaches of Studland bay.

The bungalow has two king-sized double bedrooms, and two standard doubles. There is Wifi, TV with FreeSat and Roku streaming channels including BBC iPlayer, ITVX and Netflix etc. Also a DVD player. A large south-facing living room has a dining area, lovely views across the garden to the Purbeck Hills, a wood-burning stove with a plentiful free supply of logs, and french windows to a sunny veranda. There is a bathroom, separate shower room featuring original retro tiles, and basins in two of the bedrooms. The kitchen has a double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, and plenty of worktop space.

The bungalow is set in a quiet residential private lane and is not suitable for hen/stag nights, events or partying.

There's much to see and do in Dorset, with its unspoiled natural beauty – stunning coastline, rolling hills, forests and golden sandy beaches. The amazing features of the Jurassic coast – Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and the Fossil Forest are not to be missed. The South West coast path is a walker's paradise and the area abounds with cycle routes both gentle and challenging. Poole Harbour is superb for sailing and boating. There are numerous nearby places of interest and National Trust treasures like Kingston Lacy, Corfe Castle, Studland Nature Reserve, Brownsea Island, Hardy's cottage and Clouds Hill. The RSPB centre at Arne is a joy for birdwatchers. There is fresh local fish from the Salt Pig all week, and quality meat from Curtis the butcher. Wareham boasts its own independent cinema, a museum, art galleries and canoe and kayak hire on the quay. The Purbeck Sports centre with swimming pool and tennis courts is 5 mins from the bungalow, and there's a children's playground just across the road. Wareham station is in walking distance (15min walk) with trains between London and Weymouth every half hour.

Tucked away down a private lane, with a huge garden, Little Westport really feels far from the madding crowd, yet it's so close to everything you need.

Located in a safe, established community, with Wareham Forest and a National Nature Reserve just a few steps away, you might easily get lost in nature for hours; then, relax in your "home-from-home".

The Loft is a self-contained apartment, sitting in the grounds of King's Orchard and offers guests a tranquil setting, with privacy and comfort.

Close to the beautiful Dorset coast, on the Isle of Purbeck in rural Dorset, with stunning views to the neighbouring heathland and RSPB bird reserve. Sika deer can often be seen in the grounds. There are numerous walks on the doorstep or along the Jurassic coast, a mere 10 minutes drive away. The ancient towns of Corfe and Wareham are 5 minutes by car.

The open plan living space is on the first floor, accessed via stairs, and affords plenty of light and airy space. "The Loft" is in a renovated stable/barn conversion which dates back to 1870, located in a pretty conservation area central to West Lulworth village.
Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are approximately a 10-15 minute walk, close local pubs and restaurants (5 minute walk to the local), many walking routes plus easy driving distance to the famous local attractions either by car or public transport.
The views are spectacular, it really has been a dream place to live.

The bedroom is on a first floor via your own private external door and staircase. Our flat is accessed via a private entrance off South Street in Wareham. It is on the first and second floor above our well known tea room & restaurant, which is open during the day only. The lounge/diner, kitchen, bathroom and a single bedroom are on the first floor. The large bedroom and another double is on the second floor - the stairs to this floor are a little twisty and there is a low beam at the top. Nearby is Arne Nature Reserve, Monkey World, Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door

The space
The flat has been described as 'quirky' by previous visitors which we think is lovely. Being built in 1736 it certainly has plenty of character! The property retains much of its original features.

The whole flat is available - there is a king size bed in the main bedroom and a double bedroom also on the top floor. There is a single bedroom on the first floor. There is an additional put you up bed if required (additonal charge for extra person).
