- "Location, location, location! Absolutely spectacular scenery in the surrounding area, a hikers paradise. (Bring good walking boots or wellies as some of the walks are muddy). We could watch the sun set over the water from the kitchen window which was incredible. The village is small and absolutely gorgeous, but still has several places to eat 2 takeaway and 2 eat in. There is a church, pub,museum and shop/post office - hearing bell ringing practice in the church on wednesday night was a treat.the bus service is good, goes every hour to Ilfracombe and wollacombe and bus stop is 5minutes walk from the house. The property is well equipped with great kitchen, comfy beds, additional tv in one of the bedrooms. Just would benefit from having a work desk in the twin bedroom with a WiFi extender as we had to work from the kitchen table which was not ideal. The twin bedroom would make the perfect spot for a desk because the view from the window is gorgeous (can see cows grazing on the hill by the sea). Only other issue we had was the codes given for the front door and bin store didn't work, fortunately residents in the flat below helped us out with this. Overall we had a fantastic stay and definitely will be back. Not suitable for people with mobility problems though cause quite a few steps alough our 75 year old mum did manage ok"

Beautiful 2 bedroom house on the border of Woolacombe / Mortehoe. Southerly facing, looking out over 3 different beaches to the south and Lundy Island to the west. Previously the end of a popular hotel this house is wonderfully sunny and bright without being hot. The bedrooms are all downstairs and open out onto a sunny patio with beach view. The upper balcony has the same view, extending out from the living area, making a great spot to watch the amazing sunsets with a cool drink! Linen, big white fluffy towels and beach towels are included, along with a welcome pack of food and wine. In easy reach of beaches, coastal walks, local bars & restaurants, this fresh, light and modern house makes a superb holiday property providing comfort, luxury and practicality whilst enjoying one of the best locations in the surrounding area. We are a totally "pet free" house so please don't ask to bring one, well behaved or otherwise. We have many people who come back year on year with pet allergies so like to make sure this is a relaxing environment for them and any other non pet families.

This 1930's house was extensively modernized in 2008 (as featured on BBC1 Homes programme) to provide luxury accommodation throughout. A sunken hot tub in the front decking enjoys the best views of Woolacombe beach. Thorpe is a family home, maintained to a high standard throughout. We enjoy fabulous guest reviews which are really important to us.

The apartment has been recently redecorated in a contemporary coastal theme. There are 2 bedrooms, a double with en-suite shower room and a twin with tv and dvd player for the kids to enjoy a movie night from the huge collection of DVDs. There is a large family bathroom with a bath and shower over. The living room boasts amazing sea views from a large window and a super squishy sofa to curl up on after a busy day on the beach. There is access to a balcony from the dining area to truly enjoy the views. There is a large well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer dryer.
There is a cupboard full of games for when the weather isn't being too kind and another cupboard full of beach bits (beach towels, buckets, spades, beach chairs, wind break, parasol) for when it is!
There is a designated parking space right by the front door so no great distance to lug your bags. In fact no need to move your car at all if you don't want to, everything is a short walk away. Woolacombe has a great range of bars, restaurants, pubs, shops and beaches.
A short drive a way there are more sights to see if you fancy venturing to Lynton and Lynmouth, Exmoor, Barnstaple or Croyde, there are many more places to explore.
There is also unlimited broadband and a lovely welcome pack to await you.
