The room was spotlessly clean with a large comfortable bed. There was a microwave and toaster- perfect for our needs of warming up milk for morning coffee and toasting crumpets before heading off for the day. Exceptionally good breakfast. Pleasant welcome. Convenient for Minack Theatre and other local attractions. One thing to be aware is that bedroom 1 is not en suite, although the separate bathroom is super." - "Superb breakfast, with a huge array of many different types of fresh fruits (as well as cooked options if wanted) and delicious home made jams and excellent coffee. This was the best breakfast I have ever had in the UK. Everything was also spotlessly clean, and it was very quiet with lovely views from the room. An easy ten minute walk to St Just along a footpath The only negative point in an otherwise superb guest house was that it was incredibly hot in the bedroom with an extremely thick, heavy duvet which I had to chuck in the cupboard. The mattress was also very thick and hot. This wasn't even in the very hot weather (outside air temp was 18 °C) There were no instructions for how to operate a ceiling fan."

Polgweder is a brand new coastal house with incredible views to the sea, sky and coastline around Sennen Cove through huge floor-to-ceiling windows. It sits above the beautiful bay at Sennen, famous for its clean waters and white sands: perfect for swimmers, surfers and sunbathers. You can walk down to the beach on the footpath below the house in about 8 minutes. For walkers and explorers, you can walk out of the garden gate and onto the South West coastal path to to reach Land's End and all the magical coves and hidden beaches of the Far West.
The house itself is flooded with light and is furnished in a clean, stylish and contemporary style. Outside we have used the colours and materials of the Cornish landscape: granite and wood blend with sleek and modern glass. The main open plan living area is vaulted and spacious with breathtaking beach and sea views. There is a large, airy kitchen leading onto a glass-walled balcony where you will find chairs to sit and drink in the sea views and glorious sunsets. The kitchen is fully stocked with all a cook could need, plenty of cupboard space and worksurfaces, a large Neff induction hob, Neff oven, microwave, large larder fridge, freezer and wine cooler. The kitchen island and stools give onto a large dining table in front of full-height windows looking down onto the beach.
The sitting room is also vaulted, giving a great sense of light and space as you look through 3m-high windows onto the beach and seascape. There are comfortable sofas and chairs, a large TV, Sonos sound system and a contemporary wood burning stove.
The spacious entrance hall leads to a cloakroom and a utility room with sink, washing machine and tumble drier. Also leading from the hall is a bedroom with twin beds, a second TV, desk and work area (wifi is provided) and its own designer bathroom with bath and shower.
Downstairs a hallway leads to two more large bedrooms. The bedding is all high quality and super comfortable. The first bedroom has a capacious bed that can be configured either as a super king size (180cm wide) or two singles. The large windows look down onto the beautiful North Cornish seascape. This bedroom has its own stunning shower room: Villeroy & Boch and Hansgrohe bathroom ware is used in all three bath and shower rooms and cloakroom.
The second downstairs bedroom has another very comfortable super king size bed which also looks out from large windows to the bay below and Cape Cornwall on the horizon. Again, it has its own stylish shower room.
Outside, traditional granite stone walls and bushes encircle the property, giving privacy to enjoy the garden and seating areas. Granite landscaping and native flowers and plants create a natural, welcoming scene. There is a warm outdoor shower for surfers and swimmers returning from the beach, and chairs and tables to eat al fresco.
Please note: the owner of this property has another Cornish property in Sennen Cove on HomeAway (Esther's Field, Listing 413733) with 85 X 5* reviews.
Polgweder rental prices include VAT charged at the prevailing rate.

Great WI-FI for the odd Teams Call, if like me you need to keep in touch with the outside world!. 10 minute walk up to the First and Last pub, and Spa shop, if more provisions required. 8 minute walk down to the sea, shop and Old Success inn. Beach 15 minutes walk, so in a bit shell all works for a great relaxing week away. Communication was excellent Thank you, we all had a great time ."

- "Dear Robert and Katharine It was indeed marvelous in every way. Started by entering the holliday house St Crys. On the table stands a beautiful vase with my favorite flowers, red carnations. As well, some scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream. The house is very comfortable and clean. The view through of the window of the living room looks like a postcard. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden. We enjoyed walking the coast path both directions to Porth Cornu as well to Penberth. The views were sometimes breathtaking. Among the several places we visited was St Michaels Mountain. It was worth climbing to the top and visit the castle. On advice of Katharine, we visited an opera in the Minack Theatre. This was a, once in a lifetime experience. So beautiful with the sea on the background. Our nice conversation with Robert and Katharine made it complete. Due to the Corona epidemic, it took three years before we could travel to Treen but the waiting was well worth it. Thanks again Robert and Katharine for the wonderful vacation. Most regards Willem and Maria Wim and Elly"

The Loft is a recently-refurbished, warm, spacious holiday home sleeping six people, with stunning sea views from almost every room.
Perfectly positioned above the harbour and Sennen lifeboat station, The Loft has unbeatable 180-degree seaviews of Whitesands Bay, Cape Cornwall and the Atlantic Ocean. Being perched just above the Cove means we're in prime position to spot the basking sharks who visit the bay, and pods of porpoises and dolphins. Guests can fall asleep listening to the sound of the sea, too. The South West Coastal Path is moments away, offering instant access to breath-taking National Trust land reaching to Land's End, or you can just stroll down to the glorious golden sands of Whitesands Bay, an award-winning beach, just minutes' away.
With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and parking for two cars, The Loft sleeps up to six people. It's a real home from home, comfortable, warm and cosy but with enough space that guests can spread out and relax.
Renovated recently, with new double-glazed windows, front door and flooring, The Loft has been freshly decorated and refurbished in Farrow & Ball colours, and has new beds, linens, pillows, mattresses and duvets, along with a new 6-seater corner sofa and Smart TV, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day spent playing on the golden sands of Sennen Beach.
Bedroom One has a luxurious king-sized bed and en-suite shower room with WC; both the bedroom and bathroom have stunning views of the beach at Whitesands Bay. You can watch the tide roll in from your bed, and see the early-morning surfers doing their thing, and you can certainly hear the sea as you fall asleep... With stripped wooden floors and luxury soft furnishings, you'll be comfortable and cosy whatever time of year you visit. With a wardrobe and chest of drawers, and two sidetables and sidelights. Weaver Green rugs, bed-throws and cushions for the bed. Bedroom One also has its own en-suite shower room with WC, and stunning views of the Cove.
Bedroom Two has a king-sized bed and glorious views across the harbour to Cape Cornwall. With a vintage Penguin travel print, wardrobe and chest of drawers, two side tables and sidelights, and a large apex window with high ceiling, you can also hear the sea. Also with Weaver Green rugs, bed-throws and cushions.
Bedroom Three has two new twin beds and a cliff view, although this room is suitable for children, it’s grown-up enough for adult guests too. With a wardrobe and side tables and lights, and a Weaver Green throws and cushions for each bed.
The family bathroom has a WC, bath and over-bath shower, perfect for getting the last of the sand from your toes. Decorated with sea-glass-coloured mosaic tiles, it's a haven in which to unwind and reflect on the day. Guests will find complimentary herbal toiletries from Cornwall's St Kitt's Herbery.
The living area has a new large L-shaped sofa with enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. Our new Smart TV has satellite channels, perfect for those Netflix 'n' Chill evenings, and the bi-fold doors of our juliette balcony mean you can open up the living area to the sound and sights of the Bay. With spectacular views over the Cove whatever the weather, you'll have plenty to keep you entertained. We also have fast Wifi (but you can always blame Cornish signal if you really want to cut yourselves off - everyone back home will believe you) vintage boardgames and selection of books.
Our dining area features a locally-crafted dining table made of reclaimed timber which seats up to six comfortably, and Italian leather chairs so you can settle in for the evening over a meal with friends or family. It also has spectacular views over to Cape Cornwall.
Our brand new kitchen was fitted in 2021, with Farrow & Ball Shaker units and marble work-tops, along with a large new fridge-freezer, Neff oven and hob, Miele dishwasher and Bosch washing machine, a microwave and our essential Nespresso machine. The kitchen has stunning views over towards Mayon Cliff and the Atlantic. You’ve just got to keep your eyes on what you're meant to be cooking, not those jaw-dropping sunsets...It’s also well-stocked with the latest cookery books, vintage Wedgwood china and our favourite Penguin paperback coffee mugs.
Having once been the top floor of a Victorian Hotel, The Loft has much more space than many Cornish holiday properties, with high ceilings and commanding sea views from almost every room. At the rear of the property, we have a terraced decking area which we have refurbished in cedar timber in 2021, making it the perfect spot for a morning coffee and the paper, or a sundowner as you watch the last rays disappear into the Atlantic. We also have terraced gardens below which overlook the sea – a perfect picnic location or sunny spot for a BBQ.
Bodyboards, fishing nets, buckets and spades are provided for the use of our guests.
As the most westerly beach in the UK, Sennen has stunning scenery whatever the weather, all year round. It's a perfect spot to watch the fisherman in the harbour, or the seals and dolphin pods who visit the bay. Being the first piece of land in over 3,000 miles of Atlantic means we see some dramatic waves and weather. It’s terrific spot for storm-watching too and often when a big storm hits the UK, the photos of Sennen make the national papers.
With a great local pub just a few minutes away, a local grocery and newspaper shop, cafes, gallery and two surf schools, there's everything you need for your stay close to hand. Tesco Online will also deliver to the apartment. We also have a local spa therapist who can visit if you fancy an Indian head massage, or some Reiki healing.
We are just moments from the South West Coastal Path and the dramatic cliff-top scenery of Land’s End; en-route you will spot Longships Lighthouse and the wreck of the RMS Mulheim.
Sennen has a farmer's market on a Tuesday behind the school, which is well worth a visit.
A few miles away, the Minack Theatre provides evening entertainment throughout the summer and children’s shows during the day. The gardens are well worth a visit too, as is Porthcurno Beach just a few minutes away.
Penzance and Newlyn are a short drive away; Newlyn is particularly good for fresh fish and has many artists studios and galleries, being home to the Newlyn School of Art. It also has a beautiful new arthouse cinema for those occasional rainy afternoons.
St Ives is just 16 miles away and can be reached by bus from Sennen or the train from St Erth. Packed with restaurants, galleries – including the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum – it’s well worth a visit.
Please note that as The Loft is situated part-way up the cliff above Sennen, and as the property is accessed by ten steps from the car park, it is not suitable for guests with mobility issues or wheelchairs. The walk down to the beach is by a sloping private path which is uneven in places and may not be suitable for buggies or pushchairs.

- "We had a lovely long w/e with our daughter and her family. The S'nook was perfect for us, cosy, comfortable, well equipped and very close to our daughter's home" - "This is a great little property, perfect for 1 person or a couple. Great location for a super short walk to all local amenities (which are great). The house is well stocked for self-catering and being greeted with coffee, tea, milk and biscuits was a nice touch. One tiny suggestion to make life easier. While the key safe works, it is quite awkward to open, and a little bit awkward to access. However this in no way affected what a pleasant place this was to stay. "

- "Well-equipped and tastefully decorated barn and plenty of space for the kids to play outside. And they just loved picking fresh blackberries on our way from the barn to the beach. The beaches were amongst the most beautiful beaches that I’ve ever seen, and right at our doorstep! The owners also put together a very useful welcome pack with lots of things to see and do. We had a great time exploring the greater Porthcurno area (e.g. Mousehole, St. Just and St. Yves) and the advice to have lunch at the Tolcarne Inn in Newlyn (close to Penzance). Which was truly delicious."

Welcome to our home - Trevince.
As a family we have been coming to Sennen for over 25 years. We have some wonderful memories here.
When we saw Trevince come on the market we had to find a way of owning our own piece of Sennen. Luckily we managed as a family to buy it and have spent even more time in our beloved Sennen making new memories.
Approached by a 5 bar gate you will find a long drive which will easily park 3 cars. There is a large lawn palms and views of the sea.
Once in the hallway there is a long row of coat hooks for convenience and a pew to sit on when putting shoes on and to store under.
From the hall you will find the 3 bedrooms; 1 king, 1 double and a twin bedded room all with plenty of storage room as we know you need to pack for all weathers in this country and consequently bring lots of different clothes, we take the worry out of any storage issues by providing plenty of hanging space, hangers and draw space.
You will also find the bathroom off the hall with a large walk in shower and double sink, above which is a large lit mirror.
Next you will find one of our favourite rooms with everything you may need for a stress free holiday. We provide you with 2 ovens, American fridgefreezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and amazing views. There is a large farmhouse table for sharing marvellous meals after a day of memory making.
Leading off the kitchen is our cosy lounge with large freeview television and DVD player. Placed in one corner is a very attractive wood burner with granite lintel over, making Trevince suitable all year round for you to enjoy. We have provided a few childrens games, books and DVDs which are on the bookcase or in the dresser.
Also from the kitchen is a conservatory with lovely comfortable wicker furniture to soak up the amazing views. From here you can not only see the sea and watch sensational sunsets but there are also extensive views over farmland and to Sennen town.
Stepping out from the conservatory onto the patio back garden where you can choose to sit on the rattan sofas, enjoy a meal al-fresco or sit in the summerhouse, a perfect place to enjoy a book or a nice drink at the end of the day.
Around the side of the house we have an outside tap for washing sand of the children, your muddy dog, surfboard or wetsuits and hooks to hang them afterwards. We've made the garage a great practical place to store surfboards, kayaks or bikes. A washer/dryer and clothes line are also housed in here.
Talking about dogs we welcome them all. Sennen is a haven for dogs, ours adore it and hate leaving. If your dog likes to sit on sofas or sleep on beds then all we ask is you use a throw to put under them first.
A short walk from Trevince is the beach, Whitesands Bay, in our opinion the main reason to visit Sennen. Dogs are allowed on this beach up until Easter day and 1st October and every day before 8am and after 7pm. There is however another beach just along the coast path called Gwynver which is dog friendly all year round. Both beaches are patrolled by lifeguards in season.
Whitesands Bay is a haven for surfers with daily lessons for beginners, there is never a dull moment. The children will love jumping in the dunes, perfect for letting of steam. The beach also has a stream coming down from the valley which children love to play in and make dams.
A ten minute walk along the sandy coast path in the other direction is Sennen Cove. Here you will find 2 surf schools, 2 bars/restaurants, fish and chip shop, general store, cafe, lifeboat station, and the Roundhouse selling locally made goods and gallery.
The small harbour beach is also dog friendly and a great place to pitch up and watch the fishermen bringing home their catch.
Further along is the spectacular coastal path to Lands End, roughly a mile walk and one not to be missed.
Local attractions not to be missed are the Minack Theatre, Cape Cornwall, Geevor Tin Mine, Penzance, St Michaels Mount, Helston and St Ives with it famous beaches, you could also take a boat trip from Penzance to the Scilly Isles or fly from Lands End airport.
You may even be lucky enough to spot the odd dolphin playing in the bay.
We hope you will fall in love with Sennen like we have and would welcome you back at any time.
- "property and location perfect. view over the sea watching the sun go down ideal. property was clean tidy with lots for children to play with. well worth a visit." - "A beautiful property in a secluded location with loads of space and all the facilities you would need. Sennen beach is a 10 minute walk down the hill - a bit of a slog back up at the end of the day but closer and easier than the main car park! Highly recommended..." - "We loved everything about the house. It was perfectly located for walking to the local beaches and a little further on, Lands End. "

Larger supermarkets, as well as a wide variety of other shops and amenities, can be found 15 minutes drive away in Penzance.

- "The view out of the windows are wonderful, you have seaview from the bedroom& living room, I loved it. I used the binoculars and realized its Lands End, didnt expect it being so close- haha. You can easly walk there or take the bus, that safes money for parking at Lands End. We took the bus to go to St. Ives as it is very difficult to park there. On top of the bus you have a beautiful view! The bus stop is a very a short walk, next to the pub. The pub did not offer meals when we were there, but the kitchen of the flat had everything we needed to cook ourselves. Wifi& TV worked very well! Unfortunately there is no garden, but so many opportunaties to walk the dog, so we didnt care. There is also a small shop with post office near by, also useful. Sennen beach is really pretty, but many more beaches are around! The flat was very clean& quiet and the bed was dreamlike. We really felt like home. There are two stairs which could be a problem for older people, but it wasn´t for us. One parking place belongs to the flat and is close by, very useful as there is not much parking around, although it was difficult to get out of the parking place sometimes as the view wasnt excellent and traffic difficult to notice, but one of us was driving and the other one helped from outside to watch the traffic, so it was ok. We would stay there again for sure. The contact with the owner was very friendly- by text message- and quick reply. Nothing was bad!"
