- "Really good if you like lots of cliff walking, beautiful views. Cute apartment with everything you need for a short break. If you’re lucky you can see beautiful sunsets from the window." - "I cannot stress enough, if you have any kind of mobility issue do not even continue reading. The steps to get into this place are quite brutal. I am not unhealthy but getting the luggage in was a little traumatic but if you feel up to that challenge then please read on as it is almost perfect. First impression of the entrance are a little disappointing but walk in to apartment and it feels modern again with more than enough room for 2. There was a little welcome package which was a nice touch with scones, jam etc but then you see the view from the bay window and everything is forgotten. All 5 windows open and all you can hear is the waves way down below with a stunning view. I would highly recommend the coastal path walk over to lands end taking the steps up to access it. It only takes about half an hour and the scenery is breathtaking in places. In the day we went to St Ives, Penzance, Newquay and padstow. All within a 40 min drive. It was cloudy every evening so didn’t get to see a sunset properly or the stars at night but I would love to return to see it. I should mention parking. You can offload luggage from above but is not really easier and no real parking. From below in 4 nights I did manage to park in the residents only parking for 1 night. The other 3 cost £9 but seem very safe. The no over night parking refers to camper vans only. If you do go out in the day check you have everything from the car before you go up for the night. You only want to climb them steps once"

This charming granite cottage has been renovated and has many interesting features. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped and has steps down to the garden which is a south facing sun trap. The garden has a patio area with a pergola and climbing plants; a lawned area and flower borders. There is an entrance room which is ideal for providing extra space. Upstairs there are 2 double rooms, one with views across the fields to St Just. The twin room has the same lovely view. The bathroom is upstairs. There is parking for 2 cars on the road just outside the cottage and there are a few steps from the road down to the cottage. St Just is a walk over the fields (or a very short drive) away which has a co op, interesting galleries (including the Kurt Jackson gallery), a fish and chip shop and Chinese takeaway, cafes and many pubs. On the door step is Kenidjack valley most of which is managed by the National Trust and is a great place for exploring the old tin mining area and wildlife, finishing at a rocky cove close to Cape Cornwall and within walking distance of the tin mining area where Poldark has been filmed. Going inland there are moors where there is a Bronze Age stone circle.
Sennen Beach is about 4 miles away and is a well known amazing surf beach where surf equipment can be hired. All around are fantastic beaches including Porthcurno where there is The Minack, an open air theatre overlooking the sea. There is a different beach for every day of the week!
In summer there is an open top bus to the quaint town of St. Ives and Sennen beach with the bus stop a couple of minutes walk away.

Smugglers Rest has been converted and renovated from 2 fisherman's cottages into a beautiful home. Every room has views over the bay. The cottage doors open onto a large sun trap terrace with stunning views over Sennen Cove to Cape Cornwall. In the lower garden there is a bench for a quite read, and in the garden above there is a summer hut with panoramic views. If you are lucky you will see dolphins, basking sharks and you might even swim with a seal. Sennen is a great place for children, with a huge sandy beach and lifeguards in the summer months. For older children there are surf schools, and the cottage has 'fibre to the door' Wi-Fi. There are beautiful walks along the coastal path. The cottage is open plan, with a Rayburn or electric oven to cook on. The cottage oozes peace, and the wood burning stove keeps it cosy in winter. Trewollas Beach Cottage has unrivaled sea views, nestled high in the sand dunes, it has a perfect south-west aspect, enjoying the sun all day long through to fabulous sunsets over the Atlantic. It is a detached property and is private. The living room and bedrooms offer wide sweeping views of the valley, Sennen Cove village and of course the fabulous beach and sea views. On a clear day you can even see all the way to the Scilly Isles!

Just 2 or 3 minutes’ walk via the private footpath from the garden will take you down to the South West Coastal Path and the vast sandy beach of Whitesand Bay.

The living area is open plan, taking advantage of the amazing views through large double-glazed windows and a patio door opening onto the terrace. A few steps lead down from the kitchen and dining area to the sitting room. The two levels provide separate yet companionable spaces.

The main bedroom has a king sized bed and with an en-suite shower room. The front bedroom situated across the other side of the living area from the main bedroom has zip and link beds, so can either be made as a twin or if preferred a super king-sized bed. This bedroom has use of the main bathroom, which has a luxury free standing bath and a rainfall shower.

The cottage is equipped to a high standard thougout and has WIFI, Freesat TV, a DVD player, a washer / dryer and a dishwasher. Trewollas is warm and cosy making it ideal for a winter break.

There is a sheltered sun terrace, a “window” in the hedge frames the view over Sennen Cove beautifully. A barbeque area and outdoor tables and chairs make the garden a great place for al fresco dining.

The local area has many attractions to visit, including St. Michael's Mount at Penzance, just 10 minutes’s drive from Trewollas and the picturesque port of St. Ives only 15 minutes away. Land’s End is a walk of less than an hour from Trewollas along stunning coastal paths.

Whitesand Bay is a beautiful crescent of golden sand stretching for over one mile between granite headlands. Backed by high sand dunes and with little development, it has a very natural and relaxed atmosphere. The large tidal range produces an extensive beach of firm, fine sand at low tide, wonderful for sand castles and play, walking and relaxing. The clear Atlantic waters have consistently met or exceeded the higher quality standard for bathing water in the Environment Agency’s annual tests.

A rocky outcrop divides Whitesand Bay into Sennen Beach and to the north, Gwenver Beach. At low tide, the vast sands of the beaches join; when the tide is in, a short section of the South West Coastal Path links the beaches.

At the southern end of Sennen Beach, cafes, restaurants, the pub, galleries and shops gathered along the seafront provide everything needed for a great day at the beach.

There is a lifeguard service on both beaches from May to September and, on Sennen Beach, over the Easter weekend as well. Sennen Beach provides safe bathing within the flagged zones and the Atlantic swells provide excellent surfing.

There is a surf and beach hire shop below the Restaurant on the beach where you can hire beginner surfboards, intermediate surfboards, wetsuits, body boards and fins. For those of you not wanting to go into the water there are deck chairs, sun loungers and windbreaks. The conditions vary according to time and tide but waves can be found for all abilities whether novice, intermediate or expert.

Children have an absolute ball in the surf and the local surf schools offer great coaching to get them up and riding the rollers though of course just frolicking in the waves and body boarding will be excitement enough for some.If you’ve already got the surfing bug then this is the perfect place for you. If you’ve yet to try surfing then, in our opinion, there’s no better place to start…surfing.

One well-behaved dog is welcome at Trewollas for an extra charge of £30. We are sorry but we do not allow puppies or dogs under 2 years old. Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms or on any of the furniture. and if you would like to bring your canine friend on holiday please adhere to our dog houserules.

Please be aware that our driveway is steep and there are several steep steps down to the cottage, so Trewollas may not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.

- "We've been staying in and around Penzance for the last 15 years. We adore Sennen and like to visit as often as we can... Trewollace is just perfect, it's a proper peice of Cornwall tucked into the side of a hillside. I fell in love with the place as soon as I took the winding steps leading down to the cottage. The views are out of this world and can been seen from every room, even the shower! I'm really going to miss watching the sea come in and out, it's so relaxing! We saw sunshine and amazing sunsets, to winds and rain! There's a little area at the end of the garden that shelters you if there's a westerly wind which was golden! And if it's an easterly, then you don't feel the wind on the terrace directly outside the sliding doors, it's a sun trap! The split level living/kitchen I really liked too, you can potter, cook or just sit and chill whilst being with everyone... The path down to the beach is perfect too, steep, but that's the price you pay for such amazing views... I timed myself and it takes exactly 7 minutes until you're strolling on the the sand collecting sea glass, which I found a lot, remember to look down... My favourite surrounding places are St Just... Head there for local veg shops and butchers... The cafe in Sennen does really good food, and the beach cafe is great to just sit and relax with a glass of wine, I love it there... check out the apple tree cafe near lands end 👌"

Badgers Cottage is a fabulous traditional renovated fisherman's cottage, which sleeps 8 and is ideal for a family beach and relaxing holiday.
Set in the heart of the cove, with the Lifeboat House and fishing harbour in view, we are really RIGHT next to the beach. You can see and hear the sea and be on the beach in a couple of minutes.
The front garden is secluded , set back from the cove road and looks out to the Atlantic Ocean and is the perfect place to relax and watch the sun set into the sea. There is an outside dining area and seating area for entertaining. There is access from the rear pathway to the small enclosed garden with shower and bistro table and chairs .
Please note the larger rear garden space is now a private space for owner use - it has a storage hut . This space is for owner use only but not in use when guests stay in the cottage .
Walk down our path and stand on the seafront, with your cup of tea, or sit and relax in the front garden with a glass of wine and enjoy the fantastic sunsets. A perfect base to explore the local area and breathtaking coastal paths .
The cottage is renovated and beautifully furnished in a contemporary modern eclectic style. The granite cottages cluster around its central 14th-century church, which acts as a landmark for miles around. A quaint and cosy period cottage, rich in history. From the main bedroom guests can enjoy a clear view of the cricket pitch to the left, with the local hills as a backdrop. And to the right you will have views of fields that fall away into the sea.

Given the age of the property, parts of the garden are paved in local granite - a little uneven in parts.

- "We booked oue stay in Teylu a few weeks in advance to attend the funeral of a family member. We know the area really well anyway, but Gabriella and Matt (the hosts) were extremely helpful and were happy to help in any way they could, and if messaged, we received a swift reply within hours. The location of Teylu was easy to find and parking sufficent for two average sized cars (reverse parking is recommended). The property was clean, tidy and perfectly suited to the needs of a 5 adult family, with a lovely view of the sea, and a short walk to Cape Cornwall. Thank you Gabriella and Matt for allowing us to stay in Teylu, our visit may not have been under the happiest of circumstances, but the property provided us all with the comfort and respite we neeeded. We hope to stay in Teylu again in the future."

Off the hall is a very spacious, traditionally furnished sitting room with a high ceiling and a rather grand granite fireplace. On the other side of the hall is a large attractive kitchen / dining room with modern fitted units and beyond a utility room. There is a downstairs shower room W.C. with hand basin and a door to a service courtyard at the rear where there are sheds for storage etc. Upstairs are a bathroom with hand basin and hand shower fitment to the bath, a separate W.C. and three bedrooms, two with a glimpse of the sea at the mouth of the valley. There is one kingsize double room, one twin bedded room and one with 2ft 6in bunk beds. From the enclosed front garden a side gate and two steps leads up to a part walled grassy garden at one end of the cottage, ideal for older children. We would highly recommend it." - "This property has much period charm, with a huge garden area and very well equipped kitchen, with good appliances (washing machine, dryer, proper dishwasher etc and Rangemaster cooker). It's located just off the coastal path and walking directly from the house to Cape Cornwall was lovely, as was the walk into the Cot valley. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. I do think the living room needs a bit of an overhaul, sofas are small and old, and maybe the carpets could be a bit less institutional, but otherwise thought it was a fantastic property and the kids loved it."

Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.

LIVING

The cosy living room centres around the all-important wood burner (in season we will leave you enough logs to get you going for a night or two). Sink into the comfortable sofa or armchair after a long day exploring the coast and switch on the tv to enjoy a family film evening.

COOKING & EATING

If you choose to eat in you won’t be disappointed with this well-equipped kitchen. There is an electric oven and grill with 4 ring hob, undercounter fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and microwave. Cook up a feast and gather everyone around the dining table to reminisce on the day's adventures or plan the next day’s activities.

SLEEPING

There are two front-facing bedrooms, continuing the light and airy seaside theme across the first floor. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes to store your belongings.

Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a king size bed with bedside tables and lamps. The window seat is a sweet spot to sit with a cup of tea and watch the world go by.

Bedroom 2: Perfect for children the light and airy second bedroom has twin beds and a bedside table with a lamp. The dressing table is the perfect place to pen a postcard home.

BATHING

Tastefully decorated with a selection of coastal tones, the family bathroom is a peaceful space for a relaxing shower after a day of exploring. There is a walk-in electric shower, heated towel rail, WC and basin.

OUTSIDE

At the front of the cottage is a fully enclosed courtyard with a bench, perfect for watching the world go by with your morning coffee.

USEFUL TO KNOW...

PARKING: There is free on street parking along Cape Cornwall Street where available. The free St Just Town car park is only a minute away.

WI-FI: Free broadband means you can stay connected.

HEATING: There are electric radiators and the wood burner in the living area will keep you cosy on cooler evenings.

PETS: Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coast paths for exploring. One well-behaved dog is welcome at £35 per week/short break. Please make sure they stay out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy feet before they come in.

UTILITY: There is a washing machine, airer, iron and ironing board.

This gorgeous Cornish cottage with distant sea views from the first floor is set in a charming hamlet nestled high above its namesake, the stunning Gwenver beach next to the famous Sennen Cove.
Little Gwenver is a spacious two-bedroom granite cottage full of character and style with the living areas flowing out to the lawned private garden. There is private parking and the living room is centered around a stunning inglenook fireplace with wood burner.

It’s a bright space with two squidgy sofas, a dining area and French doors leading out to the garden. After days out surfing or long winter walks, there’s no place better to snuggle up with a glass of wine and a good book by the fire. Through to the modern kitchen it’s a cook’s delight with all you need to rustle up a feast.

Upstairs the two lovely bedrooms are calm, neutral spaces where you are sure to get a good night’s rest. One is a king sized and the other a twin that can be made up as a super king, you choose. They both have views down to the sea in the distance.

Heading outside, the spacious garden has a dining table for Al fresco eating out. It’s a great place for lazing about and after sunset, you can do some serious stargazing across Cornwall’s famed dark skies. For a trip to the beach there is a beautiful lane (that the locals call The Fairy Lane), which runs from the hamlet out to Escalls Cliff, the headland dividing Sennen and Gwenver beaches. This lovely 10-minute walk ends in a great vantage point from where to decide which of these two beautiful beaches to go to today, particularly if you are a surfer. And from the headland it’s a short steepish walk down to Gwenver and the coastal path to Sennen.

LOCATION
West Cornwall is loved for its wild untamed beauty. The crashing waves of the Atlantic, stunning beaches and quaint villages unaffected by the pace of modern life. You’re in the heart of the far west of Cornwall at Little Gwenver and things are different here. We're surrounded on three sides by the sea, and it has a strong influence on our lives. We are spoilt for beaches. Gwenver less well known than its bigger sister Sennen has to be one of West Cornwall’s finest with powder soft sand and fantastic surf. It’s a steep 10 to 15 mins walk down from the cottage so you’re in a beach lovers paradise!

Sennen is accessible from Gwenver at low tide or along the coastal path and although a little further has lots to offer. Often known as The Bay Where the Dolphins Play, Sennen Cove has a beautiful Blue Flag beach, two surf schools, a restaurant, an ancient pub, fish and chips and café too. The coastal walking from here offers both gentle and more challenging options with Lands’ End and Cape Cornwall within easy reach. You’re not restricted to Sennen though. There are five other sandy beaches within ten miles. And yes – you may well see dolphins in the bay.

If we can pull you away, West Cornwall has plenty else to see with Marazion overlooking St Michaels Mount and Porthcurno with the iconic Minack theatre built into the cliffs both within easy reach. The working fishing harbour of Newlyn and bustling town of Penzance are 15 minutes’ drive away. Slightly further is St Ives, home to the Tate gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, several fantastic beaches and plenty of shops and restaurants. It’s well worth a visit and we recommend taking the little train from St Erth, which travels along the coast right into the town. It’s breath-taking.

LIVING
Through the front door you enter the living room, which centres around the Inglenook fireplace and wood burner (In season we will leave you enough logs to get you going for a night or two) and has a two-seater and a three-seater sofa and a Smart TV, perfect for movie nights in with the fire blazing. A dining area with comfortable space for four leads out through French doors to the garden. Stairs lead up to the bedrooms and an open doorway flows through to the kitchen.

COOKING & EATING
The kitchen at Little Gwenver is equipped with all you need to cook up a feast. It's modern and bright with windows either end. There is an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and a microwave.

SLEEPING
The bedrooms are both on the first floor. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom a twin that can be made up as a super king, you choose. Both have built in hanging and storage space.

BATHING
The modern bathroom has a bath with overhead electric shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail. We’ll supply fluffy bath towels, just remember to bring your own beach towels.

OUTSIDE
You walk up to Little Gwenver from the private parking space and enter the cottage through the covered porch. There is boot storage and side access to the lawned private garden. There is a BBQ, outside table and chairs, and an outside tap and washing area for cleaning off sandy surfers!

- "This is a fab cottage 5 minutes walk from the most incredible sea views and a further 8ish minutes from the actual sand. It is a beautiful quiet setting with the odd cow mooing in the background. The cottage is spacious enough. We loved how well stocked the kitchen is, which made it easy for us to enjoy the space. The internet is slow, but that is because of the area rather than the house. Any questions or problems were very quickly rectified. Would love to return. "
