The Natural Tiny House is my full time residence that I built over the last year. It is constructed from natural materials with the aim of creating a connection to nature. The house is clad in cork and UK grown cedar with a roundwood timber frame at the centre of the house.

The house is situated in a private clearing beside a walled garden.
Features a full (small) kitchen & deep soak bath/shower.

The space
The tiny house has an open plan living area with a large sofa and desk space. There is enough space for yoga/stretching in front of the sofa.
Joining this is the kitchen which has an under counter fridge w/freezer compartment and 4 ring gas cooker.
The bathroom is very compact, with only a compost loo and deep soak bath/shower. The main bedroom is up the alternating tread ladder on the mezzanine. The bedroom is a cozy nook clad in cork with a double bed. You can also choose to sleep downstairs on the sofa-bed if you prefer.

Other things to note
The Tiny House is situated approximately 40m from the car park. The walk to the house is uphill via a track. If you are arriving after dark it is advisable to bring a torch!

The toilet is a sawdust compost loo, (The compost loo is vented through a filter and doesn't smell!) if you would prefer there is a very basic flushing toilet outhouse beside the car park (down the hill).

There is no WIFI, but the house has 4g signal for Vodafone & 02 (Probably others too, just not checked!)

This is a quiet estate and we have elderly neighbours... Please don't book here if you want to make lots of noise into the night.

The house is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac, with ample on and off road parking and secure bicycle storage. Use of kitchen may be possible by prior arrangement. Bathroom adjacent to the room is for your own use - please note that hot water is from a tank, not a constant, endless supply.

During your stay
We work both at home and away but will usually be here to welcome you and provide any local information you may need. During your stay, if we are not here in person we are always at the end of a phone and never too far away.

We have a 3 year old Cockapoo (dob Sept 2019) - she is generally very well behaved but we are still working on not jumping up when she is very excited.
We offer to serve you a continental breakfast if timings allow - if not, we will leave your breakfast ready for you.

This semi detached house is in a rural location adjacent to the village cricket field and pavilion. We are very near to Ham Wall and Shapwick Heath Nature Reserves - havens for birds at all times of year. Glastonbury is 8 miles away. We're easily accessible for the beautiful Cathedral City of Wells, Frome, Taunton and Street, the home of Clarks Village Outlet Shopping Centre.

The space
We share our home with one dog. Hettie is a wire haired Fox terrier. The house is in a very quiet cul-de-sac and parking is on the road.

This listing is for one room with a king size bed. A second room can be available on request. There is a TV available in the sitting room.

I often work away so you may have the house to yourself. I will usually confirm this at time of booking.

Guest access
The bedroom is on the 1st floor. You will be able use a shared bathroom on the first floor or a large shower room on the ground floor. You are welcome to use the kitchen to make tea or coffee and a light meal. I can provide a toast and cereal breakfast if required. There is a TV in the sitting room that is available to use.

During your stay
We would hope to be available to welcome you to our home but if for any reason we can't be then we will leave a key in a locked box

Other things to note
Smoking is not permitted in our home. Towels are provided. The dog is very friendly and likes to be around people. Please keep bedroom door closed to avoid sharing your space with Hettie (the dog).

We live in a rural area with very little street lighting. Our home has a tall wooden fence at front of house with a large rusty No 5 on the fence. The drive gates are tall silver, galvanised metal with black painted wood at bottom. Parking is on the road outside the house. Please ensure that the gate is shut properly to keep dog in.
