- "Lovely Victorian home that is charmingly decorated. Our bedroom was the Jessica room and was very comfortable. There were very pleasant common areas, a nice three season porch, a living room, and parlor with a pool table. Also the dining room has a lovely dining table that can accommodate most of the guests in one sitting and we had a nice time chatting and getting to know the other visitors over breakfast. Our host served a fabulous breakfast, sausage, waffles, three fruit toppings, and real whipped cream! She was very friendly and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay and considered it a great value."

-Dogs may not be left alone, especially outside, in common areas, or in the cottage. If left alone in the cottage, a crate is mandatory.

We were able to rent the pontoon the afternoon of our arrival and use kayaks the next morning… the lake is wonderful! - "Knowing this was a newer listing, we weren’t exactly sure what to expect on arrival. However, once we were there, we loved every aspect! Plenty of room to spread out both inside and out. Inside: Open kitchen, dining area and family room was extremely functional for multiple people all enjoying time together. Each room had its own individual temperature control, which was beneficial for the wide range of needs for our family. Every comfort was attended to inside, including TVs in all rooms with plenty of viewing options for all ages. Outside: Multiple areas to relax and have some fun. Large fenced in yard so dog could run freely, flat for yard games and separate living space with pool table which made for relaxing escape. A bunch of nice touches for kids and adults alike. But our favorite was the peacefulness of the property as boat traffic was minimal, view was great, used the dock a number of times to tie up and take a break from being on the lakes with 24’ pontoon, fire-pit was out near water and very spacious. There were a few things that owner was still working on but that’s to be expected and is actually appreciated as they continue to upgrade the experience. Communication with owner was exceptional. Obviously, we thoroughly enjoyed the property and would highly recommend !"

Our 2021 Mallard by Heartland M180BH RV sleeps 4, it has an indoor shower/tub, kitchen has microwave, electric stove, sink and refrigerator with doodle station, corian countertops and silver and plasticware, cups, mugs and coffee maker included, dining set that folds into a sleeping area. One full queen size folding bed that turns into a couch and two full sized bunk beds. AC unit, electric heat, plenty of storage and lighting throughout, AM/FM radio with bluetooth, USB and HDMI ports, hydraulic awning and hitch lock systems. Propane tanks and gas hookup in unit, outside lights, party center with small fridge, sink and countertops located on the exterior of the unit and an extra outside shower provided on the exterior of the RV.

This home lacks for nothing. Six + seat lower level bar, (former bar from the world famous Cubby Bear in Chicago), full size Brunswick pool table, 50 inch TV, full size fridge, dishwasher, full bathroom and plenty of seating and gathering room.
The main floor boasts a wide open floor plan with a 55 inch TV, stone gas fireplace, plenty of seating, dining room that seats 8, large granite kitchen counters, and a wetbar. There's also a beautiful four season sun room with floor to ceiling windows/sliding doors that can be opened up to give the room an open porch feel. There's a giant foyer entrance, a powder room and a large mud room where shoes and coats and gear can be kept. There's also a spacious laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.
Upstairs are four roomy bedrooms and two full baths. The master suite has large windows with lake views, a stone gas fireplace, a 40 inch TV, and a large bathroom with double sinks and huge walk in shower! Two of the other three bedrooms have magnificent lake views. The third full bathroom has double sinks also.
The lower level has a beautiful bar that includes a full size fridge, dishwasher, sink and tons of bar space, counter space, cabinets and a great view of the lake. There's also a full size Brunswick pool table, Couches, 50'' TV, day bed that sleeps two and a full bath!
In the warmer months there is a pier on beautiful Lake Antioch with cozy adirondack chairs perfect for fishing, or enjoying a cold beer or glass of wine. The new firepit is great for evening gatherings.
The huge 20x40 deck has a spectacular view over the lake and is perfect for relaxing outside or even hosting a game of corn hole!

The location was perfect and very close to one of the Marina's where our boat was docked. The large deck was also a nice feature to be able to sit outside with all our family. - "We needed a pet friendly place to stay for funeral. Rental was neat and clean and met our needs for two nights we were there. There were a few things that could be improved in this price range. There are no smart tv ‘s or cable and antenna went out often. Water had strong sulfur smell and beds were not the most comfortable. However, the home was very clean and nicely decorated. We didn’t really use kitchen or outdoor water area but they looked well appointed. So grateful we found somewhere so clean and quiet on fairly short notice."

There is amazing seasonal bird watching all around the lake. In the spring, keep an eye out for the pelicans. In the winter, the eagles are everywhere. It's a sight to see!

The Cozy Cottage sits atop the bluff overlooking Petite Lake. Full of cottage charm and gorgeous lake views, the cottage is just steps away from the beach. The comfortable living room provides plenty of seating for everyone to relax and enjoy after a long day in the lake. Three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a small but mighty kitchen are equipped with all the essentials for a getaway.

The fully-fenced backyard overlooking the lake has a fire pit, grill, backyard games, picnic tables and hammocks. The hot tub is inside a covered gazebo. In the winter, it has thicker panels and in the summer it has netting. After a long day in the lake, camp out in the backyard with s'mores and a bonfire! You can bring your own firewood or purchase on site.

The comfortable living room is just off the the dining area. With 3 floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors, the views of the lake are spectacular. This room has comfortable sofas and chairs that sit in front of a large flat-screen smart tv and electric fireplace. The French doors leading into this room can be closed and locked to create another private bedroom with a sleeper sofa, if desired.

*This cottage was built in the 40s. It's a blend of old cottage charm and new amenities. The house was lovingly called the "Cozy Crooked Cottage" until it was leveled as much as possible. While the lower level is renewed and the house is safe, the upstairs is still a bit wonky, so be prepared!

*We are in nature. Expect spiders, webs, ants, bees, mosquitoes or other usual lake house critters. You'll see lots of chipmunks, squirrels and bunnies around and wake up to the birds chirping, too!

*This is a pet friendly cottage! There is a fee of $50/pet for up to two dogs. We do not allow cats.

*Please only bring friendly, well-behaved dogs as this is a resort and other people may be around. Dogs may not be left alone, especially outside, in common areas, or in the cottage. If left alone in the cottage, a crate is mandatory.

*Pets must be kept on a leash when outside and they are not allowed on the beach or in shared spaces, unless everyone in that space is okay with it. As much as we might love dogs, not everyone does. Please be considerate of those with allergies or fears.

High speed internet is available in and around the house. Five 2-person kayaks & six life jackets are available from May to October free of charge. Close by channels make for wonderful kayaking but please wear provided lifejackets for your safety. We highly recommend hard bottom swim socks or old gym shoes when swimming in the lake. For the firepit in the yard, the closest place to get firewood is at the landscape place on 173 in Antioch. Wilmot Mountain Ski Resort and Snow sledding hill is 10 minutes away. Richmond Hunting Club 11 minutes away. Gurnee Mills Outlet is 22 minutes away. Pleasant Prairie Premium outlets 18 minutes away. Antioch Shops and restaurants 8 minutes away. Chain O’Lakes State Park 9 minutes away.

The Coral Cottage is a charming two bedroom, one bathroom property. Bedroom one has a comfortable king sized bed. All quilts and linens are professionally laundered between guests. The second bedroom a twin-over-full bunk with a twin trundle which makes for three individual beds. A queen sized sleeper sofa can be found in the living room. Spare linens and blankets are provided for the sleeper.

This cottage is one level with no stairs inside. The cottage is fully stocked with all the essentials in both the kitchen and bathroom. You can expect full sized shampoo and conditioner, bath and beach towels, and basic coffee necessities for your morning cup of joe! The dining area is a breakfast bar with stools.

- "I didn’t stay on the houseboat we left and got a room. There was no running water or bathroom on the boat. The toilet and shower was a distance away. This is something that should be disclosed on VRBO site just so people can be aware of conditions. The water was very choppy and we were unable to relax too much noise from boat hitting against the dock I guess that’s what we heard. I expected some movement but it was wayyyy too much."

- "The ONLY bit of an issue was that there is some sort of (what I think may be a backwash cycle with a pump or septic system) noise that comes on next to 2 of the bedrooms. This often happened randomly in the middle of the night and it can be a little loud. If it is indeed a pump, maybe it could be set up and scheduled to come on only during the day. Everything else was very clean, nice, and updated." - "Group of old friends get together every year to hang out and enjoy each others company in an open concept rental with plenty of beds. This rental checked all our boxes and even had 2 refrigerators for all the food and drinks we like to bring with us. The footsteps of the renters upstairs were very noticeable. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the host had put a lot of thought into making this short-term stay a truly relaxing and enjoyable retreat. The property is equipped to sleep six; however, there is space for more as there are additional mattresses that pull out, if needed. This second-floor walk-up features a comfortable, open layout that comes furnished for family comfort. The impressive chef's kitchen boasts granite countertops, a sizable center island, and deluxe stainless steel appliances including two fridges. The living room's plush seating, a large smart TV, and a gorgeous fireplace lend themselves to morning conversation and cozy movie viewings.

- "Lakefront, kyaks and other water toys to be used" - "We loved everything about our stay. It exceed our expectations. Our kids loved the bond fire and it was nice to get away and have the lake view right there. We will definitely be adding this place as a go to for a little getaway. It was a great and cozy place."

The Yacht sleeps up to 4 guests with two bedrooms (one queen, one room with two small twins), a queen sized futon, a dinette that converts to another queen bed, one bathroom*, a kitchenette, and living space.

The Yacht sits on the gorgeous shoreline of Petite Lake, which is part of the Chain O'Lakes. Sitting atop the yacht, the sunrise from the east is breathtaking. Mornings on the lake are peaceful and serene. By the afternoon, the lake becomes active with boats, fishing, and beach fun.

The beach and large rooftop deck provide different places to relax on land with plenty of free amenities. The rooftop deck overlooks the lake and has comfortable patio furniture, a grill, griddle and tiki bar. There is a mini refrigerator on the rooftop deck for Yacht guests to use while grilling and hanging out to lessen the need for coming and going from the boat.

The beach is on the other side of the pier, which provides a great sandy swimming area and lots of activities. All free- you have access to kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, water volleyball, a floating picnic table, piers for fishing, and lots of floats and other water toys. Life jackets of all sizes are available, except for infants. Please bring life jackets that fit infants and small children.

*There's a marina bathroom with a large shower stall, toilet, and storage at the end of the pier on shore. This restroom is private to yacht guests. Toilets on the Yacht are not to be used. Sinks and showers on the boat can be used as normal.

*The kitchenette consists of a dual coffee maker with a standard drip pot and a Keurig side, a microwave, double sink, and a mid-sized fridge and freezer. A starter case of bottled water is provided. We recommend bringing and cooler and ice for beverages or extra storage space. Coffee, sugar, and powdered creamer are supplied along with plates, cups and basic kitchen supplies.

*This is a 40-foot 1985 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin Yacht. It stays on the pier at all times and cannot be driven by renters.

*The pier is directly connected to our beach front. Safe area for swimming and access to FREE kayaks, paddle boards, floats, canoes, sand toys, life jackets and a floating picnic table. We also have rental boats available!

*There is a large staircase of about 35 stairs to get to/from the parking lot. See pictures for a better idea!

*The pier is made up of floating docks. They can be wobbly, especially when the lake is active. There is a lot of activity on weekends, especially late morning/afternoons. Mornings, nights and weekdays are slower.

*There are security cameras on the parking lot, beach and piers for safety and rental boat purposes. No cameras are on/in any of the rental units or outdoor yard spaces.

*The yacht is docked on our pier directly on Petite Lake, which is part of the Chain O'Lakes. Waves and movement should be expected along with the wildlife that accompanies lake life. Our peninsula is surrounded by the water, a forest and a swamp. You will see all kinds of fish, spiders, bugs, ducks, cranes, raccoons, chipmunks, muskrats, otters, squirrels, and much more!

*If you are sensitive to motion, this may not be the best option. We have several other rentals available on the property- feel free to reach out about availability.

- "The 3 of us stayed on the yatch for the wrekend. Very cool experience. David is a fantastic host - professional, detailed, accessible and recommended restaurants and things to do verbally and in text message. We didnt rent a boat ahead of time but found David had one for rent after we arrived. There was an issue with the boat which prevented us from being able to go out. BUT, David went above and beyond not just condidtently communicating how the repair was proceding but actually calling another rental place and recommending a couple others. After his boat was repaired he offered to comp us a few hours if we wanted to extend our stay to take the boat out on our last day. Beach was smaller but private and no lack of things to do. We enjoyed the kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards and other toys included in the stay. Awesome balcony area overlooking Petitie lake. Close to restaurants. David's recommendation for Antioch Pizza hit the mark. 5 stars!!! Thanks David"

Close to the fun on the Chain O’Lakes in the Summer, Fall fun at local farms with blueberry and strawberry picking. 10 minutes from skiing, snow boarding and tubing at Wilmot Mountain, 20 minutes from Gurnee Mills, Great Wolf Lodge and Great America. 1/2 hour trip to Lake Geneva. a Metra train ride from Downtown Chicago to Downtown Fox Lake or Antioch. 38 minutes from Chicago Navel Base. Great quiet and safe area.
