Cozy and charming 2 bedroom historic cream city brick workers cottage built in 1881. A certified Century Building by the Racine Historical Society with original Italianate windows, central air, WiFi and a full kitchen. Two blocks to the beach and 20 minute lakefront walk into downtown for coffee, restaurants and shopping. Pets allowed. Fully fenced in yard. - "4.5 stars rounded up to 5 for the purposes of this site. We came here with our two children, one 5yo and one baby. The location was great, we even found an amazing huge park about a 20 minute walk away in addition to the smaller park 5 minutes away. The cottage was so charming. Beach was close by and not super busy. There is a small crib provided but our baby didn't like it and preferred the one we brought. It is an older house and we had trouble getting the bedroom doors to latch without a lot of loud jiggling, which can be annoying when you are trying not to wake kids. Overall it was a lovely stay and we hope to be back."

The bedrooms were relatively spacious and the living areas very comfortable. The open concept and numerous windows provided lots of light. This unit is located on the first floor of a beautiful Tudor house built in 1931, it has two bedrooms and 1 full bath and is fully equipped with all your needs for a relaxing stay in the city of Racine. So many things to do within walking distance, the beautiful beaches, the Racine Zoo, public tennis and basketball courts. A nearby grocery store , blue bear and O&H bakery, a newly opened Culver’s and Starbucks a short drive away. Downtown Racine is also a short walk, bike ride or drive, which has many options for local shopping and restaurants. Wind point lighthouse is a favorite stop as well, or play 9 holes of golf at Shoop park golf course with beautiful views of Lake Michigan from several holes. If you are a boat enthusiast, There are several marinas nearby and our local Racine yacht club. Or Try out a fishing charter while you are here.
Back at the unit, Enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch while the sun rises and watch life go by in this beautiful north side neighborhood.
If you book on an event weekend you may just experience a triathlon or race going down our beautiful main street.

Enjoy a private entrance in a quiet Caledonia neighborhood. The loft and laundry area are both accessible from inside of the garage. Both the loft and the exterior garage access door have digital locks for your security. The loft can sleep up to four with a with a queen-sized bed, plus two twin-sized air mattresses with bedding. There is a food-prep/bar area with seating for two, which has a microwave, toaster, and coffee maker with complimentary coffee. For your convenience, utensils, mugs, glasses, dishes, and a small refrigerator/freezer are provided as well. There is also a full bathroom and a dining area that seats four and opens up to a small balcony overlooking the back yard. Sorry, no pets are allowed.

The beach is about a 3 minute walk but we drove because we wanted to be further away from the areas with the most people. We also drove to the Racine Zoo, but you could easily walk there too - it's small but super cute. We didn't explore much else because of COVID-19, but we are excited to come back to see more of Racine sometime soon."

There are places within a much shorter walking distance though, and either way, parking didn't seem to be an issue in the area.) True, this condo was not impeccably clean (just clean ENOUGH) and the bed WAS very high as another reviewer mentioned, but it didn't bother us. Other reviewers mentioned there being a lack of cookware, but we found it fairly well stocked. It does seem like it's someone's home, which feels a little jarring to me the few times I've stayed at a rental like that; but it was definitely a place we'd go to again."

As for parking... there is metered street parking. Using The Passport Parking App comes in handy. Also, just down the street is a covered parking structure that's $3.50 a day/night on Lake Ave and 3rd Street. They also offer monthly passes.
