The house is set in the charming and peaceful, coastal village of Arrawarra, alongside the Solitary Islands Marine Park on the sub-tropical mid-north coast of New South Wales. This new, spacious beach house flows from the front to a wall of bi-fold doors and windows with overhead louvres, opening completely to blue skies, wide, covered decks (with alfresco dining) and the private, fully fenced and landscaped back garden.

The home boasts cool and elegant native timber floors throughout and two state of the art bathrooms each with walk-in, combined “rain” and hand-held showers and heated towel rails. The living, dining and kitchen areas are open-plan (with reverse cycle air-conditioning) whilst the 3 bedrooms are private and all look out over either front or back gardens. A study is also available to access a Wi-Fi printer or for the use of a desk. All bedrooms contain comfortable beds, tri-speed ceiling fans and large built-in wardrobes and shelving. The bedroom containing single beds also has a wall mounted TV. Perfect for the kids.

Telephone and internet access (broadband ADSL Plus), Wi-Fi is provided, together with TVs, DVD player, stereo CD, i-pod docks, digital radios and media box. A large selection of DVDs is available. Books are also supplied as are children's games and painting utensils.

Surfing, swimming, fishing, bushwalking and cycling are all minutes on foot from your front gate, making it the perfect get-away from the bustle of big cities. When the tide is right, there is a 0.5km surf break off the headland – perfect for a long ride on your long board! You will be able to explore ancient aboriginal fish ponds which nestle into Arrawarra Headland. The added bonus of Solitary Islands Marine Park, just off the coast of Arrawarra, contains many excellent diving and snorkelling sites.

Surf school, surfboard hire, sky-diving on to Arrawarra beach (from Coffs Harbour airport) and bike hire, are all available from Arrawarra beach camping ground (next to your beach), which also has a small general store for newspapers, ice-creams and other basic items.

Woolgoolga, your nearest town, is only 6kms (6 mins) away by car and has the full range of amenities (mega supermarket, shopping, cafes and restaurants, fitness club, banks, a pharmacy, bakeries, fish shops etc) and more stunning beaches. Coffs Harbour is 30 kms (25 mins) away by car and is the region’s major city and commercial centre with large malls, boutique shopping precincts, cinemas and an airport.
Whale watch boats depart regularly from Coffs Harbour jetty through the whale watching season from June to November. Dive boats also depart from the jetty area to a number of excellent sites in the Solitary Islands Marine Park and environs.

Coffs Harbour Dolphin Marine Magic has regular shows for children and you can also swim with the dolphins and see (and be kissed by) unique Australian seals and sea lions. A small selection of other Australian native wildlife is also kept around the pool area. Coffs Harbour is also home to the “Big Banana” which has a water park and is a fun day out for the children and family.

It consists of a large bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed (1000 count cotton sheets) a combined kitchen/ living room, with a double size sofa bed and a fresh and bright bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a full size fridge, compact oven and hot plates, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster. Breakfast consists of a selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast and condiments. It's a short 5 minute drive or an easy 30 minute walk along the beach to the coastal township of Woolgoolga (known by the locals as Woopi) where you will find a number of great restaurants and cafes. Woolgoolga Diggers Club and the Seaview Tavern Hotel offer a free door to door shuttle bus service. If you prefer to do your own cooking we have a Woolworth's 2 minutes down the road and a lot of specialty stores in Woopi. During the months of May thru to November you will see whales swimming past especially if you walk up to Woolgoolga Headland. Safety Beach is renowned for the number of friendly kangaroos that live here. We can guarantee you will see a number of them munching on grass or relaxing in the sun. Our apartment is located and easy 20 minute highway drive south to Coffs Harbour and 30 minutes drive north to Grafton. We are half way between Sydney and Brisbane...Perfect place to break up your trip!! There are some beautiful drives surrounding our area, it's a lovely drive up to Dorrigo or out to Nana Glenn (where you might spot Russell Crowe who has a house there). You will never be bored in our area there's always plenty of activities - swimming, fishing, golf, walks, waterfalls, kayaking to name a few. FIRST AT THE BEACH is located at Arrawarra Headland. The house is just metres to a fabulous, dog friendly beach that caters to all levels of activity. Swimming, surfing, wading, standup paddle boarding... it's all here. View the beach directly from the house, pick your optimum time to enjoy the water and surf and others can walk down to meet you at their leisure. Apart from driving into town for coffee, take out or groceries (6-7 minutes into Woolworths at Woolgoolga), you won’t need a vehicle. If you are so inclined, there is a boat launch 1/2 a block from the house.

FIRST AT THE BEACH sleeps a maximum of 10 with 4 bedrooms, 3 decks, 2 bathrooms, 3 showers, a large kitchen and living area, a second (quiet room) sitting area, fans in all the rooms, BBQ, washer and dryer and excellent internet. This beautiful historic home was originally built circa 1900 in Coffs Harbour. Perched overlooking the Harbour, it was the Coffs Harbourmaster's residence. Built from local Tallow wood, it was built to stand the tests of time, 11-foot ornate ceilings, original French doors opening on to the magnificent wraparound balconies, this grand old home takes you back to a different era.

The house was extensively renovated in 2008. Bringing the outside inside through the beautiful French doors, this home is an uncluttered beautiful space to breathe and escape the trappings of city life. In summer you can choose to turn on the fans, open the French doors and enjoy the breeze of cross ventilation. In winter curl up by the fire and read a book or soak up the sun out on the balconies.

Afternoon and evenings you can enjoy the sunset with family and friends around the firepit which is located next the fantastic outdoor bush kitchen. The outdoor bush kitchen is equipped with hot water, gas wok cooker, fridge & 4 burner gas bbq.
Offering an outdoor shower, it is the perfect space to wash off the ocean sea salt & sand. There is also a separate toilet located outside. Within 10 min drive you can head to some of the area’s loveliest restaurants, bars and cafes such as Bluebottles Brasserie, Ground Earth, Beachouse Cafe, Hub Cafe, and The Amble Inn. There's fishing, surfing, swimming, and if you're a bit of a nature lover, bring along your binoculars to bird and whale watch. The House - Within this tri-level home, you have direct access to the beach from the back deck. Blue Oar is in a quiet street, on a large yard, there is plenty of room for your boat. The kids can run and play, plenty of room for that cricket game too!

On the ground floor you will find a single garage, renovated laundry, including a shower and separate toilet and vanity.

As you ascent the stairs to the second level, you find the lounge/dining area that is backed by a wide covered entertaining deck (outdoor table/chairs and BBQ). From here you have views of the ocean and beach, a sensational outlook, very private and quiet ie, no road traffic. The functional kitchen carries the same views supporting a cook top, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. The two main bedrooms (both with built-ins) are located on this level as well as the main bathroom.

Follow the staircase to the top, in the attic you will find the kids retreat where you can sleep up to 4 people, the kids can get away from you without being away from you. They also get the best views in the house and this is important for any keen surfer! The views from this top veranda are totally spectacular. Watch the whales go by at your leisure.

This is recommended as a family friendly property. It is not available for pets. Due to the stairs, it is not really suitable for young children/infants (5 and under).

Plantation offers a more luxurious and spacious holiday experience. This cabin sleeps up to 6 comfortably with one queen bed, two single bunks and a double sofa bed. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with 4 burner gas stove, an indoor 3 piece bathroom, an outdoor hot shower, large flat screen TV, DVD player, WIFI, washer and dryer, reverse cycle air conditioning, fans and your choice of 2 private decks with lush garden surrounds. Enjoy a BBQ in the outdoor “dining” room with its rustic table setting, wood fireplace and access to an organic herb and veggie garden. Check the surf in the mornings and go to sleep with the sound of it at night. Paradise!

Other things to note
We welcome pets both inside and outside this accommodation with the following rules... At no time should the pet be left unattended inside or outside the cabin. Owners are asked to bring their pet's own bedding, to keep their pet off the furnishings and to clean up after their pets inside and outside. If excessive cleaning is required on account of a pet owners will be charged for this.

There is to be NO smoking in or around the cabin. Smoking is ONLY allowed beside the bbq/fire pit.
