- "This property is just excellent - pure class!! The set up is fantastic and the communication wonderful. Just prior to lockdown due to Covid, we had an unexpected visit from cousins across the ditch - NZ, we also had our elderly parents in need of a sea change and some time out . So we looked for a quality place to stay, three bedrooms, space to move , central location - not too much walking etc . Not only was this first Avenue property perfect but it was also sheer luxury . It is so well looked after and so well set up ,the bedrooms spacious and deluxe, the kitchen has everything you require , even though there are restaurants and cafés right at your doorstep. Sawtell is a picture perfect little town - amazing for walks and the beach. Our host ,generously left delicious nibbles and milk etc for our arrival , So lovely, and then also rang and checked if we were comfortable and everything met our needs , a very kind gesture. The lift in the building , for our elderly parents was modern , smooth and a blessing . To this day , they still talk of the wonderful time they had. Little did we know how blessed we were to stay in a top little town , in beautiful accommodation and that the memories of our great little trip with our extended family would assist us throughout the Pandemic lock down period . We cannot recommend , this accommodation enough its the best and John is a delightful caring host . We will definitely be back !! "

The check in/ out process was easy and Michele checked in with us a couple of times via phone call and text to see if everything was ok and also to recommend some local eating places which we appreciated. And dinners were good at the RSL which is also across the road (all walking distance). Our only issue was the screen door at the entrance which didn’t close properly unless you lifted it. "

The main bedroom on the ground floor offers comfort and convenience, while the second bedroom loft provides a quirky and cozy escape, accessible via a ladder—ideal for those looking for a little adventure. The home's single bathroom is complemented by an outdoor bath and beach shower, perfect for rinsing off under the stars or after a day on the sand.

The high ceilings throughout enhance the sense of space, and the full kitchen ensures all your culinary needs are met. Please note that the loft bedroom is accessed via a strong sturdy fixed ladder. There is a trapdoor that can be closed when in the loft for safety. You will need a reasonable level of agility to be able to access the loft, and you will not be able to get large bags or suitcases up there. There is a very comfy lounge in the ground floor living room as a backup if the loft is not for you. There is also the main bedroom on the ground floor. Most guests love the sense of adventure and quirkiness that the loft provides, and it's always a hit with the kids.

Sawtell Beach located directly in front of your accommodation is a popular surf beach with great waves and very popular for surfing and swimming so please bring your boards & beach towels with you. The Sawtell Surf Club is located just a short walk up the beach and has a great cafe for a morning coffee and breakfast in the sun. There is also patrolled swimming located directly in front of the surf club.

The main street of Sawtell is only a short walk from your accommodation, with fantastic cafes and restaurants, boutique shops and a retro cinema. While a car can be handy to explore the other areas of Coffs Harbour you could also park up and not have to start it again until you leave with so many beaches, cafes and shops within walking distance.

Pets can be accommodated on request, but must be approved prior. There will be a small additional charge per pet. We do ask however that they not be allowed in the dunes or beach due to local restrictions to protect native flora and fauna.
