Nice location as it is within walking distance of the downtown and very close to the ruins you should visit while here."

The rooms are in what used to be part of a karavanserai (we slept in converted stables) and are basic but clean and comfortable. If you ask the owner to fix breakfast, you will get to taste wonderful local spreads, cheeses and pastries, and perhaps some things you would normally not get to taste. The beautiful garden was great to relax in after visiting the city and sites. Only negative were the town’s dogs barking all night, and the muezzin seemed to have taken residence inside our room, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. But this is of course the same for all hostels in the area. "

The stone and wood vibe is charming and pleasing on the eye. The staff are lovely, and speak a little English if you’re not a Turkish speaker. The breakfast terrace has a spectacular view over the old town. Breakfast was good. The surrounding area is quiet and charming. It’s a five-minute walk in one direction to the town centre, and a five-minute walk in the other direction to the cable car station that will take you up to the Pergamon archeological site. The cons: For us, there were two significant cons. 1) the Wi-Fi signal was extremely weak in our room. Often, we were unable to connect at all and had to rely on hotspots through our phones, which burned through our limited data. 2) Our room had no kettle. The staff were very helpful in providing us with a small cafetière of hot water whenever we wanted one. But if you’re an early riser, there’s no way to enjoy an early-morning coffee as breakfast only starts at 8.30am. (The kitchen is closed until shortly before that time.) These may not be deal breakers for you. Everyone is different. However, we felt that poor wi-fi and the lack of a kettle were unacceptable for a room priced at €60 a night. You should be able to find better value for money, even in July. But, it *is* a lovely little place! Three-and-a-half stars. "

- "Booked and prepaid two rooms at this hotel via Expedia. Upon arrival front desk informed us that only one room was booked! Not very convenient for five people! After finally bringing up our expedia account on our cell phones, they said ok and began to search for a second room for us. They found one! It stank like cigarette smoke. The floors in the room were absolutely horrible. Not just dirt, but popcorn seeds, sunflower seeds etc. I don't think it had been cleaned for months. The other room was satisfactory. The restaurant was really good and the breakfast was great. For visiting Bergama, the location was good as well. I contacted Expedia in regards to the missed booking and filth - but they said there is nothing they can do unfortunately. Personally, I don't recommend this hotel."

This old Greek cottage has an open kitchen, 3 bedrooms with 4 beds and a bathroom. Also, there is a small Juliet balcony that overlooks the Acropolis of Pergamum and a large terrace that overlooks the Temple of Serapis. Since this cottage is one of the country's heritage, it has been renovated respecting the historical heritage of the city. New electrical appliances, WIFI connection, television in the living room and in each bedrooms. The Cottage includes the living room with a Victorian fireplace perhaps it is the only house in the neighborhood.
