- "I booked a property through VRBO from November 27 to December 1, 2024, for a family Thanksgiving gathering. Upon arrival, we found the house to be in an unacceptable condition, far from what was depicted in the listing photos. The fridge, countertops, and stove had old, crusted food, there was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout, and layers of dust covered various surfaces. To make matters worse, we discovered rodent feces all over the property, including inside the cupboards. Additionally, there was no Wi-Fi, which was promised in the listing.I contacted VRBO immediately, and they agreed to issue a refund. However, after several weeks of trying to follow up, I have yet to receive the refund. My attempts to escalate the matter and speak with supervisors were unsuccessful. I also tried disputing the charge through my bank, but VRBO continues to dispute my claim, making it extremely difficult to resolve the issue.This situation was especially frustrating since it occurred during Thanksgiving weekend, a time we had planned to spend together as a family. We had to drive six hours to the property, only to turn around and return home due to the unsafe, unsanitary, and unhealthy conditions.Additionally, the host responded to my refund request with a dismissive and unprofessional message, which only added to the frustration. A very nice home in a quiet neighborhood on 1 acre in Ossian. Hot tub and grill available to guests weather permitting. Close to Fort Wayne, but a much calmer and more peaceful atmosphere. Our town has a nice Mexican restaurant, pizza place, organic food store, and a beautiful park with walking trails & a disc golf course. You would have a secured private bedroom and a nice bathroom. A 2nd living area with a couch, lazy boy, mini-fridge, and desk, is also included for your use as well as a sun room with another living area. Shared kitchen space, shared primary living room/TV area as well, and laundry access. I do operate a small business on the opposite side of the house during most week days, so keeping everything clean & organized is a must.

This cozy Winchester House is perfect for the traveling businessperson! It's located just minutes away from the Fort Wayne airport, as well as several restaurants, including the our very own Waynedale Cafe, Arcos, and plenty of fast food. There are two bedrooms for time alone and a separate office space for ultimate concentration! Flexible check-in/out available. The house is on a 4-way that can get noisy, but it’s not people yelling or honking, just general road noises.
