The hotel was clean. My only issue was the fact that I could tell the floor in our room hadn't been vacuumed. All in all, it was a pleasant stay at a reasonable rate."

Cabin sits on almost 2 acres right across from the Des Moines river , boat ramp just 1/4 mile away . Home has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing get away in the woods . Cabin is log and knotty pine inside . This cabin was built by my father in 2003 as his retirement home . We welcome well trained dogs , there is no fenced yard and lots of timber all around so we recommend keeping on leash as there are lots of deer crossing thru property daily . Boone is just a 10 min drive , Ogden 15 min . Don Williams recreation is also just 5 min drive . Come relax , rewind and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the country .

Come enjoy our nicely furnished home just 2 miles from Iowa State University. This home has 4 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 10. Every bedroom has a smart TV and there is a 75" Samsung in the theater room. All access Hulu is provided at no cost. Get outside in the huge backyard to BBQ, shoot some hoops, or just enjoy the crisp Iowa air! The kitchen is loaded with amenities including a coffee bar and the bathrooms have everything you may have forgotten to pack from a toothbrush to shampoo to razors. We thought of everything!

The unit is about a 10 minute drive to Ames, IA, home of the Iowa State Cyclones. In Ames you will find many activities, restaurants, and if traveling on a weekend, you may even be able to make it to a game!

- "What an amazing gem! This fabulous home in Ames is the perfect place to stay for a couple people or a group. It was perfectly clean, and very well appointed. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one full bathroom, kitchen and living room, and downstairs, a large TV/family room, a third bedroom and a laundry room in the finished basement. The sheets, bedding and pillows (two types of pillows to choose from) were very comfortable. The bath towels were the fluffiest I've had, and there was soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. for us as well. Simple entry code and lock for check-in and easy to get in and out. The area was nice and quiet. It was so nice that we had two TV/gathering/play areas - great for kids downstairs and adults upstairs! I wish the weather was warmer as we could have enjoyed the great patio and backyard.... next time. The kitchen was well stocked - good coffee area, fridge with filtered water and ice. Washer & Dryer was downstairs if we needed to do a quick wash. Overall, we were really, really happy with our choice to stay at Cy's Landing in Ames. What a perfect place for parents weekends, homecoming and other sports and school weekends in Ames! So much better to be together in one house, with a kitchen. Communication with owners was great - they responded right away."

The Historic Goeppinger Building has been around since 1915. Built by the Goeppinger family to house the offices of their farming and saddlery businesses, they provided offices for doctors, lawyers, realtors, dentists and teachers on first and second floors over the years. The third floor was once a beautiful lodge with a dance floor, kitchen, bathrooms, a smoking room for the men and a cloakroom for the women. It was converted to six upscale apartments in 1935. The apartments were leased out as rentals to private tenants from 1935 to 2019. We bought the building in 2007 and continued to operate the building as it had been operated since 1935. In 2019, we decided to restore the apartments and signed with VRBO as hosts. It is our hope to someday become a boutique hotel.
The original marble staircase leads to the lobby area on 2nd floor. Several office suites are occupied on this floor, as well as, the home of the Resident Manager. Another flight of stairs completes the journey to the third floor where you will find your relaxing apartment-suite complete with charming mid-century decor. The suite has a sleeping area with a queen size bed, a relaxation area, a dressing room with a wardrobe, a full bathroom with shower and tub and a fully furnished kitchen. The kitchen has a microwave, coffee pot, toaster and of course a stove and refrigerator. Dishes, pots and pans and utensils are all provided so guests can prepare their own meals and eat "in". Fortunately, there is a grocery store just one block East of the building.
This old building is built like a fortress with 13" of concrete between the basement and the first floor, the first and second floors and the second and third floors. The brick walls are at least 18" thick. The second floor is somewhat of a showplace with lots or original wood, terrazzo floors and Florentine art glass windows in the doors. Don't be afraid to turn on some lights and go exploring while you are here and feel free to ask us if you can view whichever suites are unoccupied. We love showing off the restorations we have done over the years.
This is an old amazing building but it does not come without its quirks, due to its age. We think these quirks just add to the charm of the building. For instance, you may walk on squeaky old hardwood floors, the radiators may let you know when they are warming up your suite and, it may take some time for the hot water to climb up to third floor. The building is across the street from the UP railroad so you may be lulled to sleep by the sound of trains passing through town during the night. Most guest comment that they enjoy the sounds of the trains but we do have a "WHITE NOISE" machine for guest use if you don't find the sounds of trains pleasant.

Nestled in a quiet family-friendly neighborhood, it is just a 10-min walk to campus and a shorter 5-min walk away from the CyRide for a quick bus ride to/from ISU games. This home is ideal for relaxed Ames getaways, college visits, and ISU games! Enjoy on-site parking, 3 spacious bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.
Our house is a renovated mid-century 1 1/2 story home nestled into an idyllic neighborhood full of unique homes and history. This very functional and peaceful home is a great base of operations for everything ISU.
Guests are able to access each space of the home with the exception of the garage where storage of lawn care equipment is located. The newly restored basement (completely unfinished) is available for laundry use only. There is no useable living space or bedrooms located in the basement.
There are two off-street parking spots in the home's driveway. There is also ample free street parking in front of the home.

Everything was perfect and the house just oozed charm. One on my favorite places was the outside patio on top of the garage with string lights. Host was incredible and the house was immaculate. This is definitely a house you need to stay at- just a short walk to the park where we played pickleball all weekend long."

The Historic Goeppinger Building has been around since 1915. Built by the Goeppinger family to house the offices of their farming and saddlery businesses, they provided offices through the years for doctors, lawyers, realtors, dentists and teachers on first and second floors. The third floor, once a beautiful lodge with a dance floor, kitchen, bathrooms, a smoking room for the men and a cloakroom for the women, was converted to six upscale apartments in 1935. The apartments were leased out as rentals to private tenants from 1935 to 2019. We bought the building in 2007 and continued to operate the building as it had been operated since 1935. In 2019, we decided to restore the apartments and signed with VRBO as short term and long term hosts. It is our hope to someday become a boutique hotel.
The original marble staircase leads to the lobby area on 2nd floor. Several office suites are occupied on this floor and it is also the home of our Resident Manager. Another flight of stairs completes the journey to the third floor where you will find your charming apartment suite complete with RETRO decor. On display are televisions from the late 1950's complete with antenna's, old radios, an old Bell telephone, an old manual typewriter, a chrome kitchen table and lots of coca cola memorabilia.
The suite has a sleeping area, a relaxation area, a dressing room, a full bathroom with shower and tub and a fully furnished kitchen. The kitchen has a microwave, coffee pot, toaster and of course a stove and refrigerator. Dishes, pots and pans and utensils are all provided so guests can prepare their own meals and eat "in". Fortunately, there is a grocery store just one block East of the building.
The building and it is built like a fortress with 13" of concrete between the basement and the first floor, the first and second floors and the second and third floor. The brick walls are at least 18" thick. The second floor is somewhat of a showplace with lots or original wood, terrazzo floors and Florentine art glass windows. Don't be afraid to turn on some lights and go exploring while you are here and feel free to ask us if you can view whichever suites are unoccupied. We love showing off the restorations we have done over the years.
Yes, this is an amazing old building but it does not come without its quirks, due to its age. We think these quirks just add to the charm of the building. For instance, you may walk on squeaky old hardwood floors, the radiators may let you know when they are warming up your suite and, it may take some time for hot water to climb up to third floor. The building is across the street from the UP railroad so you may be lulled to sleep by the sound of trains passing through town during the night. Most guest comment that they enjoy the sounds of the trains but we do have a "WHITE NOISE" machine for guest use who don't find the sounds of trains pleasant.

Recently restored, the Rock and Roll Suite is filled with rock and roll memorabilia. Sleep like a rock star in a luxury king bed with fine linens. Cook up a "rockin" meal in a kitchen with microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, stove, cookware, dishes, flatware and utensils. The BEATLES dining area also provides a nice sized work area. A relaxation area includes a VIZEO smart TV with and comfortable seating. Sing in the shower in the three-piece bluetooth equipped bathroom with dressing room.

Amenities Use:
All listed and shared amenities, including gyms and other building features, are available for guest use at your own risk. Access is not guaranteed and may be limited or unavailable due to building maintenance, scheduling, or other factors. The host is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or service interruptions that may occur during your stay.
Guest Requirements & Screening:
The guest who books the reservation must be at least 21 years of age and is considered the primary guest. The primary guest is responsible for the reservation, must be staying at the property during the reservation period unless prior written approval has been granted, and is fully accountable for the conduct of all individuals included in the reservation. Any violation of house rules by the primary guest or their invitees will be the responsibility of the primary guest and may result in fees, penalties, or early termination of the stay without refund.
This property offers self-check-in. For the safety, security, and protection of all parties, we require all reservations to complete an identity verification and background screening through a secure third-party service. The verification process includes submitting a valid government-issued photo ID and a live selfie to confirm identity. The name on the ID must match the name on the reservation. This must be completed and approved before check-in instructions will be released.
An email with instructions to complete the verification will be sent shortly after booking. If you do not see the email, please check your spam or junk folder. Failure to complete and/or pass the verification process—including meeting age and background requirements—will result in ineligibility to stay at the property. In such cases, the reservation must be canceled by the guest, and the standard cancellation policy will apply.
Security Deposit & Violations:
A $250 pre-check-in security deposit may be required to cover incidentals or damages. This deposit is fully refundable after check-out, provided no violations or issues occur. A minimum fee of $250 may be charged if any house rules are broken, including but not limited to unauthorized parties, smoking, unapproved pets, tampering with devices, or exceeding occupancy limits. Serious or repeat violations may result in immediate cancellation of your stay without refund.
House Rules:
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the unit, in common areas, and on the property.
Parties, events, and disruptive behavior are not permitted.
Pets are not allowed.
Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. A warning will be issued for noise complaints; a second complaint may result in removal from the property without refund.
All guests must be registered. Maximum occupancy limits must be followed at all times.
Do not move furniture, décor, or appliances.
Tampering with Wi-Fi routers, smart devices, security cameras, or locks is strictly prohibited.
Mail or package delivery is not allowed. The host/property is not responsible for lost, delayed, or returned deliveries.
No glitter, confetti, glue, or paint. Any added décor must be approved in advance and removed before checkout.
Our check-in time is 4:00 pm and our check-out time is 11:00 am. Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur extra fees.
Community Amenities:
Community amenities such as the pool, gym, and other shared spaces may occasionally be closed due to maintenance, weather conditions, or local ordinances beyond our control. The community also sets its own hours of operation and policies that guests are required to follow (for example, posted pool and gym rules). While guests are welcome to enjoy these amenities when available, access is not guaranteed, and refunds will not be issued for amenity closures or limited access during your stay.
Noise & Monitoring:
This unit includes a Minut smart home device to monitor noise levels, smoking, and occupancy for safety and neighborhood compliance. The building is located in a multi-unit residential property, and occasional noise from neighboring units may occur. While we do not manage other units, we strive to maintain a respectful and quiet environment for all guests.
Maintenance, Safety & Access:
Routine maintenance or inspections may take place during your stay. In the event that building management, maintenance staff, or emergency personnel need to access the unit, we’ll do our best to provide advance notice. Guests are required to allow entry if needed. For safety reasons, tampering with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, or other safety equipment is not permitted and may result in reservation cancellation.
Lockouts & Key Policy:
Lost keys, damaged lock devices, or lockouts may result in a replacement or service fee depending on the timing and circumstances.
Wi-Fi Usage:
Wi-Fi is provided as a courtesy. While we aim to provide reliable service, connectivity is not guaranteed and may be impacted by provider outages or high usage.
Cleanliness Expectations:
Guests are expected to maintain reasonable cleanliness during their stay. Excessive messes or damage may result in additional cleaning fees.
External Noise Disclaimer:
Construction or city maintenance near the property may occur. While we try to notify guests in advance, we cannot control or refund for external noise from neighboring activity.
Policy Enforcement:
The host reserves the right to cancel any reservation without refund if there is evidence of house rule violations, fraudulent activity, or behavior that threatens the safety, property, or quiet enjoyment of other residents.

The 410 Farmyard will be your new home away from home! This farm-inspired house is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood right off the highway. It's a great place to relax & unwind with family and friends...large patio, grill, firepit, board games, and two living rooms with Roku TVs. If you are an Iowa State fan, Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum are only 4 miles from the house! If you enjoy the outdoors, there are tons of trails and parks nearby.
