Two Waterfront homes (216 feet of waterfront) with two private docks, boat lift, two hot tubs, two swim mats, and a very large backyard that is completely private with privacy fence. Larger home has 4 bedrms and 3 baths, the other has 3 bedrms and 1 bath. Relax, swim, play, kayak, fish, you will never be bored. Large parking area for at least 12-14 cars. Bring your boat or use kayaks to visit Sharktooth island (1/4 mile) or spend the day at a beautiful sandbar! 3 miles to beaches, 13 miles to Camp Lejeune,15 miles to Aquarium.

Every room in these homes have beautiful views. The master bedroom of the larger home has one entire wall of windows from where you can see the Intracoastal waterway. Coffee bar can also be used as a desk. Kitchen is open to the dining area with a table and chairs. We provide a pack n plays, high chairs, toys, & games for the little people. Our homes do sit on a busy road, but once you pull in the driveway you feel completely secluded.

There is a dock at each home for your enjoyment. It is a shared dock, as we do store our boats there. If we do come by, it'll simply be to take boat. We will not hang out or intrude.

I am available anytime to make sure your stay goes as smoothly as possible. Only a text or phone call away. We provide a smart lock, so you are free to check in anytime after 4pm.

Downtown Swansboro is 1/4 mile away. If you have a boat you can drive to Swansboro, tie the boat to the dock and enjoy a delicious meal. If you pull a boat, getting into the driveway with a trailer can be a little tricky but it can be done. We have pulled our 20ft dually, even a 32ft camper in there. 3 miles to Emerald Isle beach, 13 miles to Camp Lejeune. Every now and then on a King Tide the water can rise to about an inch on the driveway, but recedes quickly with the tide change.

Downtown Swansboro is 1/4 mile away and a beautiful walk or bike ride away. You can rent our small carolina skiff through boatsetter or bring your own boat and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sandbars.

At the larger home the washer, dryer and 3rd full bathroom are located in the bath-house. It is a studio apartment with a screened in porch. It has a bunk bed with a full size futon under and a twin bed on top. There is a 120" Projector in the bunk house for those rainy days.
Swimming is wonderful at these locations, but water shoes are recommended and no diving because it is shallow on the sides of the dock at low tides. The current is very strong at times. We require anyone 14 and under to wear life-jackets. No diving allowed.

Enjoy the lounge furniture on the front porch with a lovely sunset view. Stretch out with a novel (or take a snooze) in the hammock on the screened porch, where you’re looking out on the White Oak River. When feeling more ambitious, you can put in kayaks and paddle toward the marshes of Croatan National Forest, or around the bend and under the Swansboro bridge, across the Intracoastal Waterway, and out toward Bear Island State Park. The cottage is located one (empty) lot from the White Oak River. It’s about a 5-10 minute drive to the public beach at Emerald Isle, or to the scenic Tideland Trail of Croatan National Forest.

Ride your bikes to Swansboro just back over the bridge. Swansboro is an historic fishing village with a beautiful and quaint waterfront downtown. A few of our favorites in downtown Swansboro: dinner or brunch at The Boro; classic diner breakfast at Yana's (with Elvis flair); ice cream on the second-story deck at Bake, Bottle & Brew (keep an eye out for dolphins!); lunch at Church Street Pub (or get takeout and pack the sandwiches for the beach!); date night at Il Cigno's Italian restaurant; breakfast bagels at Giovanni's (try the Spicy Sofia!); live music on the dock at Saltwater Grill; browsing nautical treasures and antiques at Poor Man's Hole; and exploring lots of other lovely shops!

Close by in Cedar Point is 34 North - a great spot for those looking to unwind with outdoor games, craft beer pouring system, and usually a food truck. If you're the wine type, check out nearby Christina's Wine Boutique for a glass of wine and pick up a unique bottle from their curated selection. The kids will love putt putt, bowling, games and more at nearby MacDaddy's, a boat trip to "Shark Tooth Island" to collect shells and shark teeth, or a day trip to the Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.

Inside the cottage, WOW! There are vaulted ceilings, beachy colors, lots of windows, shiplap, restored original heart pine floors in living room and kitchen, and heritage plank flooring in the bedrooms. Ceiling fans in every room and on the front and side porches. Dining room table seats 6. Great collection of puzzles, games, books, and DVD library. Large comfy sofa for the whole family to relax. Internet access; TV with Roku in living room and TV with Chromecast in master bedroom.

Master bedroom has a comfy firm king-sized bed; master bath has a large jacuzzi and walk-in shower with two shower heads. The shower includes a steam generator, which is especially nice in cooler weather. Second bedroom has two twin beds; second bath has a combo tub/shower. Linens and bath towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels).

If you’re inclined to cook, you’ll enjoy the cottage’s well-equipped kitchen. We have a propane grill available on the side deck. And you won’t find seafood fresher than the fish sold at Clyde’s, between the two bridges on the way to Swansboro.

We have three sea kayaks (one double and two singles; includes paddles and lifejackets) and four adult beach bikes with locks (BYO helmets) — kayaks & bikes available for rent upon request. If interested, please inquire and we can add this to your reservation.

We allow a maximum of 4 guests. The house is a no-smoking zone. Ours is a quiet neighborhood, so please, no house parties. The yard is not fully fenced, but you can walk your dog along the road, which borders the river.

The dock is perfect for launching kayaks, fishing, crabbing, birdwatching, or just relaxing and catching some rays! We also have 2 kayaks on the property, perfect for exploring the surrounding waterways.
THE LOCATION
Kayak Kabin is located directly off Highway 24 in the small coastal town of Cedar Point. From the house it’s a short five minute drive to the beaches of Emerald Isle and an enjoyable 10 minute walk to historic Swansboro. The house is a kayakers dream! It’s location on the flats of the White Oak River make it an ideal place to jump on a kayak and go exploring.
In addition to the beautiful beaches the Crystal Coast also provides world class fishing. If you’re looking for an inshore fishing guide the folks at Dudley’s and Pogies will be able to help you out. If you’re looking for a deep sea experience the Head boats the “Capt. Stacy”, located in Atlantic Beach, and the “Carolina Princess”, located in Morehead City, are sure bets.
If you’re looking for a place to launch your own boat there’s no need to worry! There is a deep water, public North Carolina Wildlife boat ramp located directly across the street. This ramp also includes a free public fishing pier.
When it comes to the kids there are more than enough activities to keep them busy! You can spend the day playing in the water at the Salty Pirate Water Park, race go carts and play putt putt at the Golfin’ Dolphin, or bowl and play in the arcade at Mac Daddy’s.

ABOUT THE HOUSE
The main entrance and living area are located on the second floor. Follow the lighted path towards the back stairs where you are greeted by an inviting porch and keyless entry pad. As you enter, the dining and living room areas welcome you with a cozy vibe that says "relax!" Open to the dining and living area, the kitchen is outfitted with pots, pans, and utensils you need to start cooking your first meal. Past the kitchen, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, stocked with extra linens, towels, TV's and basic toiletries (.i.e shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer). Use the spiral staircase to go down the stairs where you will find the laundry room, game room, office, and lounge ready for fun and additional sleepers.

FISHING
Below is a list of ways and places to fish. Fishing opportunities are seasonal, you need a fishing license (an easy and quick process online) and be aware of NC laws & limits. Don't worry, you can go online to https://www.eregulations.com/northcarolina/fishing/fishing-licenses.

- Pogies Fishing and Kayak Center: This service offers fishing excursions/charters and sell bait and tackle. You can rent fishing poles or kayaks here as well.
- Neuse Sports Shop (Cedar Point): Go here to purchase outdoor gear, fishing poles, bait & tackle, and so much more.
- Bogue Inlet Pier (Emerald Isle): A picture perfect spot that has a fishing pier along with bait and tackle for sale (closed during winter season).
- Pier By the Water: Located just on the other side of the Swansboro bridge, some folks just bring their fishing poles here.
- Rent or bring your own kayaks to fish around the river area. The Swansboro bridge is a choice area for most locals but be aware of boaters passing by.

BOATING
The private dock is accessible to kayak, paddle boards, jet skis, and low draft / flat bottom boats. However, there are several public boat launches in the nearby area (one right across the street). Right off the dock, go fishing during high tide (during summer and fall months).

SAFETY NOTES
Some homes have their quirks, so here is ours:

- There is a 2" step up/down between the living room and kitchen as well as the bathrooms and adjoining rooms. We've added lights and/or signs to highlight the transition, but it can still pose a hazard. Please watch your step.
- The spiral staircase is what it is - a little tight. Please use the main entrance to move large bags between up and downstair floors.
- The back yard space does not have a fence, so please keep a close watch on children and animals while outdoors.
- To swim or not to swim, that is the question. Please no swimming or diving off the dock. There are lots of oyster shells that help filter the water but can seriously hurt your feet and hands. Always use swimming shoes near our shoreline. Emerald Isle beaches are not far away as well as the Salty Pirate Water park.

SECURITY FEATURES
- A security camera with proximity lighting at the front of the house - so we know for sure that you have arrived :) and when you have departed back home :(
- A camera to monitor activity on the dock - as a matter of prudence
- There are no listening or video devices inside home.

BUGS & WEATHER
While we use bug elimination services to spray the inside and outside of the house monthly, this does not completely prevent bugs from making their way into the home. We occasionally have palmetto bugs, fiddler crabs, or other bugs make their way indoors. Open doors and windows will allow easy entry for these opportunists. Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent our guests from seeing one of these occasionally indoors.

As the warmer weather months go by, brace yourselves for those pesky mosquitos and no-see-ums. While most people recognize mosquitos, most have not heard about no-see-ums (also known as midges). They are really hard to see and bite primarily around the ankles and legs. We spray for mosquitos but being by the water it's hard to eradicate them (including no-see-ums). To help you enjoy the outdoors, we've provided bug spray and highly recommend you spray yourselves before doing outdoor activities during the day and evenings.

- "Very comfortable, nice view and easy access to boat lift for excursions and fishing" - "Excellent back deck!! Sat there daily and nightly when not out and about. Breeze off the water the whole time. Fishing at night and great of you have a boat. Boat lifts were great but the launch was not deep enough and slippery. No tie downs on the dock, but there is an NC Wildlife boat launch right next door so not an issue after the first time. Very peaceful with fantastic sunsets and dolphins. Close to Emerald Island beaches and lots of sand bars and islands to hang out on. Storage room on the bottom floor very nice to keep sandy chairs and fishing equipment in. We enjoyed it and would recommend this to anyone looking for a week long getaway."

Fishing and Relaxing paradise awaits, breathtaking sunrise and moonlight from your private hottub on the back deck, steps from the water. Tandem kayak is included. You can fish, kayak, or wade right from the back yard! We`ve caught drum, flounder, shrimp, etc. Master has a king size nectar bed and an amazing view of the water from the picture windows. 3 miles to beach, 13 miles to Aquarium, & 13 miles to Camp Lejeune. The road is close but once you exit your vehicle, you feel like you are in your own lil paradise.

Completely remodeled with brand new appliances and furnishings, you will have a beautiful place to make vacation memories. Close to everything, 10 miles to Jacksonville, 13 miles to Camp Lejeune, 3 miles to Emerald Isle, 19 miles to Cherry Point, and 2 miles to Walmart.
Our home does sit on a fairly busy road, but the parking is on the side and the smart lock is on the back door. Therefore you never need to use the front door, and you feel very secluded.

There is adequate parking for 2-3 vehicles.

There are beautiful shops and restaurants within walking distance. Swansboro has amazing parks ,views and history. On Front street there is a must-visit ice cream and candy shop. The beautiful Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium only 19 miles away. Historical Fort Macon is only 25 miles away. Beaches are 3 miles away. Camp Lejeune is 13 miles away, and Cherry point Marine base is 19 miles away. Jacksonville is only 10 miles away. We are on a major road, and you will hear some traffic, but once you enter the driveway you literally feel like you are on your own little paradise. That is no exaggeration, it is AMAZING! The fishing from the back is incredible, I have filled several buckets of shrimp, caught reds, black drum, flounder, eels, rays, and even puffer fish.

An amazing place to enjoy the water. Relaxation and unbeatable views! The gorgeous sunroom has 3 sliding doors for unhindered water views. VIEWS from the hot tub and deck furniture are amazing!

Paradise awaits! Enjoy the gorgeous sunrise over the Emerald Isle bridge, and the sunsets over the islands. Watch the dolphins play, fish, enjoy the refreshing saltwater, play on the swim-mat, kayak to the islands, endless adventure. In the evenings relax in the hot tub on the back porch. 2 miles to the beach. This is a peaceful and quiet home, the most noise you will hear are the boats going by. The water is steps away from the screened in front porch. Bring your boat and tie it to the dock.

Our home is at the end of the Road, Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Most of our neighbors are older so we do ask that noise be kept down after 9pm.

Not much traffic on Waterway drive, there is plenty of parking for 3 cars. We do ask that there not be more than 3 cars at the home. Waterway Drive is a private and small road.

It was very nice to spend my 70th birthday at the Peaceful Home with the love of my life since 16 yrs old, yes high school sweethearts 🎣❤️"

This cozy cottage is perfect for the adventurer at heart. Waterfront with 2 kayaks and a small boat with oars (trolling motor and battery for rent). 3 miles to the Beach. We catch flounder, drum, crabs, etc from the backyard. Use the kayak or boat to explore a sand bar or just float around the Marsh. The location is amazing! Steps from the water. Our home is on a busy road so there will be some road noise, we proved sound machines if needed.
Small Fishing Cottage, two bedrooms, one bathroom. Great location if you like the water. Once you enter the home and especially the backyard you feel like you are in total peace. All rooms have smart tvs, that have Netflix, Disney, and Hulu already installed and ready to use. Full size kitchen with all the cooking utensils and pans you would have in your own home to cook that family meal or to prepare the fish you catch from the backyard.

The entire home is for your enjoyment.
You only have one neighbor next to you, I own that home as well and it is a short term rental. There is a large 8-9 foot privacy fence that separates the back yards so you won`t even see the neighbors.

If you like the water, or need to relax, then this is the place for you.
Please put Kayaks and paddles away after use and please tie them up.
Please tie the boat back up so it won`t float away at high tide.
