- "My girlfriend and I had a great time visiting northern Virginia this past weekend. We were fortunate to find a last minute Vrbo home in Fairfax VA about a week before the trip. The location of the property was exceptionally ideal, and after the trip we felt very grateful to have found this gem. We rented the lower floor of the house where we stayed, and the space was cozy and fully equipped in every way for us providing what we needed in every way possible. We had our two dogs with us, and we had very easy access to the backyard for bathroom breaks for the pups. The bedroom was quite comfortable and was great for sleeping in both mornings of our stay. Best way we have found to see DC, is via Train in and with a narrated bus tour when you arrive. Will save you tons of unnecessary walking, but getting in/out is quite enjoyable to boot when traveling on the VRE.

Directly in front of Union Station is the Fully narrated "Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus. Their buses circulate to all the major monuments and Museums. One arrives every 15-20 and the ticket is good for 24 hours. You wont miss a thing, you can stay in any site as long as you like. You will save a ton of walking and learn a great deal while you listen to tour guide narrate your journey.

Our home features three bedrooms, with two private bathrooms. We also provide two offices, each with a desk and chair. The second level office includes two external monitors, a sound system, and a laser printer. Stay connected easily with Verizon FIOS high-speed internet.

The fully-equipped kitchen and dining area are ideal for sharing meals at home. The comfortable living room is perfect for relaxing after a busy day. You can step out and enjoy the beautiful wrap-around front porch, or have a cookout on the back deck with our grill.

But the best feature of our home is its convenient location. The Vienna/Fairfax-GMU metro station is a short drive away, for easy rail access to Washington DC's top attractions: National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, the White House, and much more. If you prefer to drive, then you're just minutes from major highways (routes 66, 50, 29, and 236).

For those staying closer to the home, you’re less than two miles from Old Town Fairfax and George Mason University amenities.
