- "Heated floor boards and donuts on arrival" - "Very nicely presented in a wonderful rural setting. Next door's "farm dog" is very friendly :-) Likewise the local cows. Great for peaceful walks along the country road. Great collection of books and games but we did not have time to fully utilise. Hope to stay there again. Communication with Ellen was good and special thanks to her for the "welcome" fresh bread and jam doughnuts! Guests might like to know that only some mobile phone operators have signals out there, and the property itself does not have Internet. Makes it ideal for a "switched off" holiday :-) Beware of kangaroos at dawn and dusk as they like to cross the roads then - take plenty of care especially if you are not used to them. The house has good cooking facilities and the nearby Dardanup township has good meals at the hotel and a good bakery too. Recommended."

With both Crooked Brook and Joshua Creek running through the property it offers magnificent rural views from every room making it a perfect holiday home.

One or two families can easily be accommodated comfortably in the four bedroom, three bathroom home. There are two separate living areas - one down and one up. Partially surrounded by State Forest on 136 acres, this 2 bedroom self contained granny flat is under the same roof as the main house with a shared games room area in between. Both bedrooms have reverse cycle split system air conditioning/heating, there’s a small lounge, kitchen with breakfast bar, separate toilet and laundry. The bathroom has floor heating and a heated towel rail for those cold nights and chilly winter mornings.
There’s a gas BBQ at the accommodation and a fire pit at the original farm dairy overlooking the dam is about 40m away. There is some chairs and a table for you to relax and take in the views.

The kids have gone back to school so it’s a great opportunity to enjoy this quieter time of the year. The cottage is well appointed and is air conditioned to keep you cool . You can take a dip in the lake or go for a kayak. The warmer balmy nights means more time spent sitting out on the deck with a wine or two. The garden is abundant with native bird life especially the gorgeous blue wrens. The lake has Redfin and you can try your luck.. just ask and we’ll provide you with a rod and lures.. or you can bring your own.
We have two miniature ponies, Rita and Gidget and two retired quarter horses mares Chocolate and Lily.. they all lovely friendly horses.
The space
We have provided everything you need to have the most relaxing experience during your stay. The cottage has a large open plan living area . The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge room has a comfy modular lounge suite for you to stretch out and relax. The tv is a smart tv so you can watch your favourite streaming channels using the free wifi. The day bed is a perfect reading nook, with reading lamp and close to the fire it’s a cosy spot to read and relax. A coffee machine is provided in the well equiped kitchen so you don’t miss out on your morning coffee. The outdoor seating is another comfy space to sit back and enjoy the view. The light filled house backs onto native bush and kangaroos often come close at night to graze on the lawn. You can wander along many bush trails found at the back of the property and during spring you will find beautiful wild flowers and native orchids.

- "Basically just confirming all previous reviews of this brand new cabin, the down-to-earth owners and the amazing lifestyle farm location: This place is a gem! The condition of this cabin is outstanding and felt bigger than the pictures do it justice we found. All kitchen gadgets (incl. SMEG oven and gas hob, microwave and four slotted toaster), cooking gear and utensils are in mint condition too as well as the washing machine and dryer! The indoor fireplace, outdoor BBQ and fire pit making winter nights under the stars super cozy and the owners even provided a small amount of firewood for us to use, very kind :) It was simply great to meet Luke and Kes every morning (optional) to feed their cute farm animals and to have a good chat about their life in the country and any recommendations they might have for our short trip to the Wellington State Forest. Also their property is huge with lush, grassy-green hillside paddocks (now in winter time) where sheep run free. There are water holes for swimming and boats to use (that we didn't take advantage of, as winter is too cold). Birdsong every morning and crickets during the evening making sure you will be able to forget about hectic city life for a while :) On arrival we have received a small basket full of breakfast goodies, fruits and local eggs for our consumption, a small carton of milk in the fridge, as well as some coffee capsules and tea bags inside of containers on the rustic jarrah countertop. We will be back :)"

We offer a unique country, home away from home on our 3 acre lifestyle block.
Our property is located in the small bush town of Kirup. Kirup was originally a milling town like so many here in the southwest. Our home is located at the back of town and across the road from the state forest. A good location to use as a base if you are exploring some of the surrounding sights in Balingup, Busselton and Donnybrook etc

Kirup town only has a coffee shop (Thur Fri Sat Sun) Ruby's Brew! Try them out.
Kirup Tavern offers nice meals, the new owner Shayne -2022-will make you feel welcome.
There is no corner shop, for provisions go to Balingup or Donnybrook.
🐸Please be aware that after the first rains in Autumn, the South West Moaning frog starts calling for his mate.
He starts and doesn't stop "moaning" until his new girlfriend comes to him.🐸💖🐸 If you have booked during this time, playing some white noise or earplugs is enough to cover the noise we find.

The little Ambertree cottage is attached to our home where we live and we share a common wall-bathroom and dining area walls-but be assured your cottage is completely private and secure.

Parking is external to the property and approximately 30m from the front door of the cottage. We ask our guests to not enter through our main car gate so as to not risk letting our livestock and dogs out. We have a smaller pedestrian gate for you to enter through, and a gravel car space specifically for bnb guests near the small gate.

The accomodation space is an old mill house that was added to the main farmhouse at some point in its history.

You have your own private space with kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom, and lounge. There is a verandah with couch and garden area with umbrella to sit and enjoy all the bird life in the established gardens.

Our property has a dam and around that big old water hole we have alpacas, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, chickens and roosters, with the recent addition of Babydoll southdown sheep. Feel free to take a stroll around the property if you so wish, make sure to close gates after yourself.
All animals are very sweet and friendly, with the exception of the ram at times. Don't try to get too close to the geese. They prefer healthy distance.
Be mindful that the ram is intact and as such he is never to be trusted fully.
Blue the youngest collie is still learning she doesn't have to bark at guests so please be patient while we teach her to be polite. She is very young and still learning.
Your best approach is completely ignore her. (She is all bark)
Our animals and garden are a big part of our country life. If you are coming to stay at Ambertree you are an animal lover and as such understand that animals live here and you will hear them and most likely come into contact with them.

You also understand that you'll be parking outside the perimeter fence as we don't want to risk the animals escaping.

We try to offer all the amenities you'll need for a short getaway or long weekend. In the event you forget something, we try to have a backup of most items for example spare new toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and so much more are provided complimentary. Robes are provided for your use while you are with us.
If it's in the cottage it is there available for you to use. If the weather is cool we will have the fire lit for you upon arrival if you advise us of your arrival time. Please send us a message on your check in day advising of time if you'd like fire pre lit.

Cozy blankets are left in the cottage should you need them for the verandah if you want to try to spot some bats or possums or 🦉of an evening.

We are conveniently located minutes from South West Hwy and all that the Harvest Hwy has to offer. Our street is very quiet and is opposite state forest so no neighbours are across the road.

This accomodation is for the guest who is happy with the rustic feel, it is an old country farm house. You will hear us at times as we live full time in the main farmhouse and vice versa we can hear our guests.
We have wooden floors and they are not forgiving for the heavy footed person.
We hope and believe our advert is completely transparent, we try to make sure our guests have everything they need, so please if you are staying and you have an issue or are in need, do not hesitate to contact us. We will do our very best to help you out.

But please be aware, we are in the southwest, the winters are very cold, it can be below zero and we live in a wooden house on stumps.
The bedroom has a reverse cycle aircondtioner and the main lounge has a wood fire, we keep the verandah stocked with wood. The bedroom has reverse cycle aircon and ceiling fan. Pedestal fan available (just ask)
The kitchen is a basic kitchen with bench and sink, microwave and all amenities listed on the site but there is no standard oven. There is a airfryer, toasty machine, microwave, and hotplate available and a BBQ on the verandah.

Breakfast of fresh eggs, bread, butter and milk and any produce we have growing fresh will be provided upon arrival in the cottage as a welcome pack. This includes coffee pods, tea, and extras like oil, salt and pepper etc

We place fresh flowers (if in season) in bnb for each guest and these are yours to take on checkout, minus the vase of course :-)

Other little extras include essential oils for your use, all natural mist sprays made by Pash by Jan for the accomodation and you! Natural soap made by Olivia Grove and Pash (local soap makers)

Secluded cute, well equipped eco cabin surrounded by beautiful bush. Peaceful. SILENCE! Cosy log fire in winter. Walking / mountain bike trails. Bird life and song. Brilliant starry night skies. Local produce including fruit, wine and olive oil available all around the area.

Fully self-contained cabin with small stand alone solar power system, gas stove and fridge, log fire heater, TV and lovely hot rainwater shower (great for hair and skin).
There is a double bed in the loft (wake up in the tree tops) or downstairs are 2 singles if preferred. Please note that access to the loft is via 'ladder stairs' (see photo) which are very steep and so perhaps not suitable for small children, elderly or disabled people; we will host a max of 2 adults.
There's also a wood heater for winter which keeps the cabin warm and cosy, as well as having the stovetop to cook a delicious slow cook soup or your dinner if you feel inclined, instead of using the gas stove.

Use of the mountain bike/walk trails is included free of charge and quality bikes from our bike shop, Cycletrek, can be hired for use on the property. Look us up for more info on the bike shop and the property.

Lowden is in the shire of Donnybrook/Balingup (we are 20km from Donnybrook town) and is 45 minutes from Bunbury and 15 minutes from the Ferguson Valley wineries.

The property, Kambarang, is 100 ares of beautiful jarrah/marri bushland with views up and down the Preston Valley and has 8+ km of walk/mountain bike track (rated at blue level, however there is also a novice/kids track). Springtime provides a profusion of wildflowers including some very special orchids.

The region is the fruit bowl of WA and seasonal freshly picked produce can be purchased from roadside stalls along the Preston Valley, plus wine and olive oil.
May to December is absolutely beautiful away from the coast in the south west . It is lush and green and without the strong coastal winds, its lovely even when it is raining. We are above the frost line and some mornings can look down on a mist in the valley below while enjoying the colours of the sunrise.

We are 8km from the Bibbulmun Track and offer a pick up/ drop off service (for a fee) to guests - and also for the Munda Biddi Mountain Bike Trail. There is a fully equipped bicycle repair shop on the property and Barrie can service or repair your bike during your stay.

Please note that for long weekends we have a minimum stay requirement of 3 nights.

The cabin is very private, surrounded by forest.

The space
Welcome to Witts End South.

A retreat-style, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury home situated on a ridge overlooking the Ferguson Valley. Just 30 minutes from Bunbury, one hour from Margaret River and a two-hour drive from Perth CBD.

From the moment you arrive, walk under the wisteria covered porch and soak in the valley views from the spectacular deck you'll start to unwind and leave any stress behind you.

The house boasts open plan kitchen, dining and large open living area, 3 large bedrooms with king, queen and double beds and luxury linen bedding. In the double room there is also a bunk bed.

Large windows ensure the beautiful south west sun gets to every corner of the house in winter, naturally warming the floors and walls keeping the house cosy. The solar passive design means that the house remains shaded and cool in the summer.

Surrounded by beautifully kept gardens, plus the "world's largest" deck overlooking the rolling hills of Wellington Mill. The view from the deck is perfect for morning coffees, entertaining or a spot of yoga, and is particularly good for the soul.

The open-plan family area has several different seating zones to suit every mood. Whether you want to chill out and enjoy a contemplative moment in the window nook, gather around the warm wood fireplace with your friends and family, or enjoy delicious long lunches at our gorgeous custom-made House of Orange dining table, Witts End South is the perfect spot and is waiting just for you.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property, including the gardens and fruit orchard.

Particularly for the kids (and big kids!) why not jump on the back of the Rodeo and Rob will take you to feed carrots to the cattle - always a lot of fun!

All amenities in the house are for your use, we just ask you to be respectful and careful with our much loved and precious belongings. Some of the special treasures in the house belong to my late grandmother and we want them to be used and loved by you, as they were by her.
There is food and staples in the pantry and fridge for your use if you require. We run an honesty system, where anything you use can be noted down in the journal and some cash left to cover the cost.

He replied to all my messages and they were very attentive throughout our stay. The view from the deck was amazing and the house looks exactly like the photographs. Robert started the fire for us when he showed us through the house and we kept it going the whole weekend. It kept the house toasty for us. There was a great kitchen to cook from and a big table to share meals around. The kids enjoyed feeding the cows from the back of Roberts ute- they had the best time! The property offers WIFI as there is no phone reception. The WIFI was great for FB updates and sending messages but not powerful enough to WFH. It was great to switch off. Thanks for a great stay!"

There are 4 distinct master bedrooms, some of these having more than 1 bed in them and then there is a ‘bunk room’ that was perfect for kids. There was no availability for a sofa or a bed etc in the lounge which made it hard to sleep the 5th single adult with any privacy. The information provided suggested there were bikes and a BBQ available for use, which was incorrect. We were lucky enough to have a discounted stay as one of the first ever bookings, so we expected there to be some hiccups, which there was. Originally we offered catering at a set price but when we requested catering for the 9 adults we were told that it wouldn’t be worth their while and the price would go up. Understandable, but a minimum number for catering at the price offered would have been nice to start with. We had a couple of chefs in our group so we chose to do it ourselves and make it part of the weekend. We were offered catering again and again and the messages started coming through SMS instead of Stayz which I didn’t like. The man who greeted us at the property and subsequently took our call when the bath wouldn’t drain and a globe in the toilet blew needs to work on his customer service. I loved the property enough to come back though."

Kirup Cottage is a 94 year old cottage with the charm of yesteryear and a few modern comforts, including two king beds and a modern bathroom. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped.

Stay at home or explore the surrounding wineries, local pub, towns of the Blackwood River Valley region, bike tracks and hiking trails.

Donnybrook is just 17km north for all your supplies.

There are two king beds, a modern bathroom and separate toilet. The comfy lounge has a TV. The dining area has a wood fire and both the kitchen and bbq area are well equipped. The bedrooms and living area have air conditioning. There are seating options around the verandah to take in all the garden views and a hidden daybed for relaxing with a book.

Preston cottage is over 100 years old, but has been lovingly renovated and has everything you need, and nothing that you don’t.
No wifi and average phone reception give you a great excuse to read a new book or play some board games.

Located on a working cattle farm, you will have views out over the paddocks and into the nearby bush. No neighbor’s in sight so just enjoy the peace and quiet.
Only 5 minutes to Donnybrook and 20 minutes to Bunbury

The space
Inside there is a 4 seat dining table adjoining a lounge room with a 3 seater and a single seater leather couch, a tv and a warm and cozy fireplace. The kitchen has all modern facilities including a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and a stove. The cottage runs on sweet rainwater, there is a filtered tap in the kitchen sink for those who prefer it.
The bathroom has a generous shower and toilet with a sink and mirror, it also has a washing machine.
Bedrooms are large double rooms with mirrored wardrobes in each.
All rooms are equipt with ceiling fans, fly screens and curtains. Outside there are 4 seats and correct table with a 2 burner ziggy BBQ, and an outdoor fire pit with plenty of stump seating.
The carport is under the main roof and has 10a power point for EV charging.

There is sufficient room in the driveway to park a caravan if required.
