- "Heated floor boards and donuts on arrival" - "Very nicely presented in a wonderful rural setting. Next door's "farm dog" is very friendly :-) Likewise the local cows. Great for peaceful walks along the country road. Great collection of books and games but we did not have time to fully utilise. Hope to stay there again. Communication with Ellen was good and special thanks to her for the "welcome" fresh bread and jam doughnuts! Guests might like to know that only some mobile phone operators have signals out there, and the property itself does not have Internet. Makes it ideal for a "switched off" holiday :-) Beware of kangaroos at dawn and dusk as they like to cross the roads then - take plenty of care especially if you are not used to them. The house has good cooking facilities and the nearby Dardanup township has good meals at the hotel and a good bakery too. Recommended."

With both Crooked Brook and Joshua Creek running through the property it offers magnificent rural views from every room making it a perfect holiday home.

Partially surrounded by State Forest on 136 acres, this 2 bedroom self contained granny flat is under the same roof as the main house with a shared games room area in between. Both bedrooms have reverse cycle split system air conditioning/heating, there’s a small lounge, kitchen with breakfast bar, separate toilet and laundry. The bathroom has floor heating and a heated towel rail for those cold nights and chilly winter mornings.
There’s a gas BBQ at the accommodation and a fire pit at the original farm dairy overlooking the dam is about 40m away. There is some chairs and a table for you to relax and take in the views.

It’s nearly February and it’s the perfect time to book a summer escape
The kids have gone back to school so it’s a great opportunity to enjoy this quieter time of the year. The cottage is well appointed and is air conditioned to keep you cool . You can take a dip in the lake or go for a kayak. The warmer balmy nights means more time spent sitting out on the deck with a wine or two. The garden is abundant with native bird life especially the gorgeous blue wrens. The lake has Redfin and you can try your luck.. just ask and we’ll provide you with a rod and lures.. or you can bring your own.
We have two miniature ponies, Rita and Gidget and two retired quarter horses mares Chocolate and Lily.. they all lovely friendly horses.
The space
We have provided everything you need to have the most relaxing experience during your stay. The cottage has a large open plan living area . The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge room has a comfy modular lounge suite for you to stretch out and relax. The tv is a smart tv so you can watch your favourite streaming channels using the free wifi. The day bed is a perfect reading nook, with reading lamp and close to the fire it’s a cosy spot to read and relax. A coffee machine is provided in the well equiped kitchen so you don’t miss out on your morning coffee. The outdoor seating is another comfy space to sit back and enjoy the view. The light filled house backs onto native bush and kangaroos often come close at night to graze on the lawn. You can wander along many bush trails found at the back of the property and during spring you will find beautiful wild flowers and native orchids.
