A continental breakfast is included in your lodging rate and is placed in your house or cabin and there upon arrival, for you to enjoy at your leisure each morning. If you choose to opt-out of breakfast when booking your reservation online, you will receive a discount, but no breakfast will be provided during your stay with us if you choose to opt out for the discount. All of our houses and cabins do feature either full or efficiency kitchens, so you have the option to cook during your stay. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate gluten-free diets with our breakfast offerings and recommend opting out of breakfast if you have allergies.

- "The owner is very responsive! We had a couple of issues and they were handled immediately. I would HIGHLY recommended renting this property to anyone. The pictures don't do the beauty of the property justice. Wonderful weekend and many wonderful memories made." - "Lovely property! We stayed as a large family (ages 5-75 yo) at this property. It rained on and off the entire weekend, but we still had a great time. The fire pit was wonderful surrounded by huge live oaks. The kids went fishing off the pier and were catching so many fish it was almost too easy! Walking around the property was nice and we did this several times— 200 acres means everyone can spread out. We didn’t get to play with the volleyball/badminton net because the field was way too wet. We would definitely stay again. If you have small children in your group, a few words of caution. The house is very close the pond/lake. You will need to watch your children when they play outside. Also, towards the back of the property (maybe 200 yards from house) there is a small river. The river was swift moving when we were there (likely related to all the rain that had happened before our stay). We made a rule that the kids weren’t allowed to go over the bridge of the lake (in the direction of the river) without an adult. Overall, we had a wonderful time, but vigilance and close proximity of an adult was needed in watching the children play outside. This would probably be less of an issue with older kids, but our group had little ones (5,5,8,9,10,10 yrs). Lastly, the kitchen is pretty small for a large group, but not a dealbreaker in my opinion. The living room/dining room is huge! And the dining table is so big that we easily sat 14 at one table!!"

Ranch house built to blend the convenience of modern construction with the rustic charm of a rural home. Great weekend retreat for a small family or friends with quick access to Columbus. You'll love spending time on the front porch! The new ranch house has one bedroom with a queen bed plus a sleeping loft for kids, couch, and sleeping recliner. Full kitchen and bath with a gas stove. Fire pit, corn hole, washers, horse shoe pit, and BBQ pit available outside. There is an older bunk house connected to the cabin that has 6 more beds which is included in the rental. The bunk house has a wood burning stove for heat and window unit A/C. We are 40 miles from Round Top.

Staying at Mae Mae's Cottage provides the experience of quiet country living. This newer built property allows for modern conveniences and comforts with definitive country life accented with beautiful antique decor. Nestled on a small working cattle ranch between the main house (100 yards away) and ranch-hand living quarters (200 yards away), this property is quaint and peaceful. Sit on the front porch and experience a Texas sunrise or on the back deck experiencing a glorious sunset. Guests have enjoyed birdwatching, reading a book surrounded by nature, occasional coyotes howling in the evenings and sitting by the fire pit and looking up at those beautiful stars over Texas.

Mae Mae's Cottage is a wheelchair accessible property. The living area of the house is on one level including the front porch, back porch and patio deck. Maneuverability in the Grand Room (which includes the kitchen, dining area and living area) is easy for wheelchairs, walkers and strollers. The master suite provides an accessible king size bed, adjoining ADA accessible bathroom with a roll under sink, a roll-in shower with ADA grab bars and a bathing chair if needed. The driveway and parking area are all paved and connect straight to the house.

The second bedroom suite has a full size bed and connecting bathroom with a walk-in shower. (Please note that this bedroom is not wheelchair accessible.) The laundry area includes a full size washer and dryer and connects with the second bedroom and also the garage.

The spacious Grand Room holds a brand new, queen sleeper sofa, swivel rocker, recliner and round accessible dining room table.

The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you will need to cook away from home. We do provide some staples for your kitchen in the way of flour, sugar, salt and pepper and a few miscellaneous spices. We also provide a coffee bar which includes a burr coffee pot system and an espresso brewing system. And, we do keep a regular drip system in the pantry.

There are two small work/office areas, one in the Grand Room and one in the Master Suite. We provide unlimited WIFI and Amazon sticks on all TVs.

We are dog people and want you to feel free to bring your fur babies with you. Our entire property, over 10 acres, is fenced and gated. However, we encourage you to keep your babies on a leash at all times outside. We have two large, overly friendly and sometimes zealous giant Schnoodles that have access to the entire property off leash.

We are approximately 5 miles from Downtown Columbus, 1.5 miles from the new wedding venue, Ro Manor, 17 miles from The Vine Wedding Venue, 3 miles from I-10 access, 15 minutes from Eagle Lake, 16 miles from Fayetteville, 10 miles from New Ulm, 30 minutes from Weimar and 30 minutes from La Grange and Round Top. Distance to larger cities are 90 miles to Austin, 60 miles to Houston and 122 miles to San Antonio.

Would definitely stay here again." - "This house is a Victorian gem with many original details including woodwork, transoms, and 14-foot ceilings. Spacious rooms, including bedrooms, where a family or friends can spread out for privacy or gather for meals, games, and conversation. Excellent attention to detail with a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to fix and serve meals, bathrooms that have been beautifully renovated, and comfortable beds and plush linens. The location is a short walk to the historic downtown and a short drive to retail and restaurants near the interstate. Clean, comfortable, convenient, and interesting, this house surpassed our expectations."

The Eagle Lake Lodge at Wingswept, is situated on 45 acres just outside Eagle Lake's city limits. The Main Lodge is capable of sleeping 17 guests, and our separate bunkhouse can accommodate 6. The Main Lodge kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances (commercial refrigerator, 2 ovens, 8 cooktop stove, and a warmer drawer.) Small wine fridge in the dining room, which seats 20 guests comfortably.

- "The house was great! The house is literally off the grid and great for a peaceful, relaxing weekend. My favorite part of the whole rental is the early check-in and late check-out. There is nothing worse than spending a bunch of money for a rental to not be able to check-in until 3pm and get out when you wake up in the morning. The house had everything you would need for a weekend. Loved the welcome basket with snacks and wines. Plenty of towels for the guests. There was also a basket in each bathroom with items you may need, such as toothpaste, makeup wipes, mouthwash and soaps. If you're planning to cook, bring your spices and oil or butter. There are the basics like salt, pepper, and garlic. My only complaint is that the beds are very hard. If you have a bad back, bring extra blankets for padding or a mattress pad to lay on. Also, DO NOT follow the directions on Apple Maps or Google Maps. It will take you to the wrong place. Follow the directions the host gives word for word and make sure you have a vehicle that can handle the dirt road and rough terrain to get to the property. "

- "I'll start by saying that I have stayed in dozens of vacation rental and have never had an instance where I felt it necessary to provide a negative review. We knew the home was older from the listing pictures but there was a key detail that was not mentioned or visible in the listing which is that the only shower in the home was a cast iron tub which had been converted into a shower. One of our guests was an older gentlemen and had we known this detail would have allowed us to make other accommodations. Additionally, as a result of the tub to shower conversion, it created a very narrow and uncomfortable shower area. While standing in the shower, the plastic liner would make contact with both shoulders which was very awkward. I promptly notified the host understanding that this was not something that could be addressed during our stay but should absolutely be highlighted in the listing moving forward so potential guest can be informed. Although uncomfortable we managed the first two night before notifying the host that we would be leaving a day early and staying elsewhere for the remainder of our stay in the area. The host acknowledged our concern but did offer to refund the final day in which the house was not used. "
