- "Far View was a beautiful house built in 1925 . The town doctor built the house for his wife and children. Our room was on the first floor with a private bath. It was very clean and comfortable. It was the original library and still filled with old books and new books to read. Every room is decorated for Christmas and it is very charming. You know the saying “ if walls could talk” I know the stories that would come out make your stay even better. I recommend Far View if you are going to Brenham.The owners couldn’t have been any nicer. They had a decent breakfast which I ate both days toasted bagel with cream cheese and Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits. I guess the only negative things that can be said are the water pressure was kind of loads was unusual because I was on the first floor. Also when I checked out the person didn't say anything to me I handed in my key card and then they were puzzled as to why I would even be talking to them. Not to be hypercritical but it would have been nice if you had said something. Other than that I had a great time and would gladly go back.with the exception of the fact I do not like the traffic on the way home through Texas. They had three lanes closed on I-10 which backed up traffic for an hour and a half. people were really mad and all that was going on was they were putting 3M stickers down in the middle of the day. They should have waited till night time to do that. It was a huge inconvenience on the way home. That has nothing to do with the hotel"
