- "What a perfect week! So much to do on the property and close by. Our family, including 3 older teens, had an amazing time. The house had a well appointed kitchen, a water cooler and enough space for everyone to have their own little oasis. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have bathrooms in every bedroom. We had friends on the island, so we didn’t cook much, however the grocery store was close. Andrew was great, but since we already had some local connections, we didn’t often need his assistance. We recommend renting a car to get around the island. There is very little traffic and driving on the opposite side of the street was not a difficult adjustment. We used Avis and probably over paid. The location was the best part of the trip. Right on the water we were able to take a morning walk to the waterway. Round trip it was about 1.5 hours. We saw lemon sharks cruising the shore at sunrise, but never during the day while snorkeling the reefs. Our teens loved walking to the floating bar in the waterway. We felt the area to be very safe and didn’t worry about them. We tried the fish fry at Taino beach on Wednesday night. Fun experience! Our teens wanted to stay later for that too, but we didn’t feel good about leaving them there. We will recommend this property to any of our friends heading to Freeport in the future and hope it doesn’t become so popular that we can’t return."

'Diamondhead' is a 1200 square foot fully equipped 2 bedroom, 2 bath family home approximately 55 miles east of West Palm Beach, Florida. The close proximity to these other rooms allows the whole family or group to relax or do different activities but without being separated. The large island with granite counter-top serves as a meeting place for all guests. Ample seating is available - stools at the breakfast bar and stools at the round glass table (and a high-chair is available upon request at no extra charge). An airy and spacious room with a large dining table and six dining chairs, and overlooks our beautiful tropical front garden.
Situated at the front of the house, it is both open plan, so that guests do not feel confined, and also separate from the other living areas, to give a little privacy and quiet. The large dresser contains all the napkins, table mats you may require for the perfect formal island dinner in the comfort of Flamingo Lane.

TV ENTERTAINMENT LOUNGE:
This open-plan room is great for everyday living. A bright floral three-piece suite, coffee table and two side tables are surrounded by big windows that overlook the tropical garden and pool. Glass double patio doors open out onto the covered porch. A large flat-screen TV with media player and speakers provide a great entertainment area for kids and adults. There is collection of books and novels, as well as a chess set, backgammon, board games and cards.

FORMAL RELAXING LOUNGE:
This open-plan room is set off by a very large, comfy three-piece suite in a soft, rich red fabric. Accompanied by a big coffee table and two side tables, this is a wonderful place to spend the evening inside with cocktails, watching the sun set over the water, as the glass double patio doors open out onto the covered porch and overlook the pool fringed by coconut trees and, beyond, the canal.

BEDROOM 1:
Very large room with king-size bed, walk-in closet and flat-screen TV. Glass patio doors (with full blinds) lead out to patio, and pool. En-suite bathroom with shower and spa bath.

BEDROOM 2:
Very large room with king-size bed, closets and flat-screen TV. Glass patio doors (with full blinds) lead out to private patio with BBQ grill and picnic table, and to the pool. En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

BEDROOM 3:
Large room with queen-size bed, large closet, flat-screen TV and dressing table with mirror. Looks out over our beautiful tropical garden. En-suite bathroom with double sinks, bath and overhead shower.

BEDROOM 4:
Queen-size bed and bunk beds with closet. Looks out over tropical garden. Bathroom is shared with Guest Bedroom 3 via a separate door in the hall. There is also access to a half-bathroom via the hall.

BEDROOM 5/STUDY:
Queen-size pull-out sofa bed (very comfortable) with desk and hanging closet. If preferred, this room can be used as an office or study.​

SWIMMING POOL:
​​​The 30' x 15' large swimming pool is a focus for most guests, as you can imagine! Surrounded by coconut trees and Frangipani and overlooking the canal, it is definitely our favorite spot, too!

PATIO AREA:
The patio area surrounding the pool is approximately 2000 sq. ft. - plenty of room for entertaining. With several comfy loungers and separate pool towels provided, it is perfect for spending days relaxing in the sunshine or sunbathing. Around the corner from the pool is a patio sheltered by palm trees and complete with a BBQ grill, a big garden parasol for some shade and a large round picnic table for outdoor dining, drinking and entertaining.

COVERED PORCH:
The covered porch is often many guests' favourite place to relax in the evening. The sofa and armchairs all overlook the pool and, beyond, the canal - which provides a wonderful backdrop for the most beautiful sunsets (which we seem to be treated with almost every evening!) and the ideal spot for sundowners!

The house is situated in a large, quiet canal basin with a private dock. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and the house has a code-operated gate at the front.

By boat (included), we are just a few minutes away from the ocean and beautiful beaches (often nobody else there…it's amazing). One of the best beaches is just outside of our canal entrance, less than 1/2 mile away. The boat is also ideal for just pottering around our waterway.

By car, we are a five minute drive to all the main attractions on the island: colorful Port Lucaya Market Place with many shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment at Count Basie Square.

On foot, one of the beaches is just a 1 mile walk away!

Only 60 miles east of the Florida coast, Grand Bahama has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and some of the clearest turquoise seas which make exploring the reefs with an abundance of colorful fish an amazing pastime - so make sure you bring along your underwater camera. ALMOND TREE VILLA: Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. We are located on a quiet, dead end street that culminates at the beach, just a 200 meter walk away.
The suite has a private entrance, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, open plan kitchen, living and dining area with a dedicated work space and a large elevated wrap around deck overlooking the garden. One of the bedrooms has a private entrance to the deck.

Rental car is available on property, most reasonable rates on island. Drivers must be at least 25 years old.

It is carefully placed 'smack bang' on 3 acres on the beach and features a new dock across the street on the canal side which can accommodate up to a 65 ft boat. This home has the option to include a "1 room ensuite" for a fee (for a total of 5 bedrooms/4 bathrooms). A-list celebs have stayed here!

Directly opposite, Palm Villa, our 3 bed 2 bath house which is directly on the canal with a 60ft dock. This may be available for rental for a fee in conjunction with GoldenEye to sleep up to 16. Please inquire about doing so. There is also a $100/night/boat utility fee if you choose to use the dock.

Large ceiling fans throughout the entire unit. We have two flat panel TV's with cable, one located in our living room, and another in the master bedroom. High speed internet with Wi-Fi is available throughout the condo. There is a Sony soundbar with subwoofer in the living room, which is hooked up to the livingroom TV, but you can pair your phone with it via Bluetooth to enjoy your personal music playlists as well.
A short 20 minute stroll down the beach, you will reach the Port Lucayan Market Place located in the main tourism area. You can enjoy shopping in the straw market, or in the many upscale shops. If dining out is on your mind, there is a wide variety of restaurants, bars and live music to choose from.
Some of the many activities that Freeport offers include kayaking, boating, scuba diving ,fishing and snorkeling . You can swim with dolphins or pigs! Contact us for more information on these types of outings. The Bahamas is famous for its water sports!
You can go bicycling, rent Jet Skis or discover the beautiful Blue Holes in the nearby national park.
