- "I went to this hotel with my girlfriend for a week of holidays in Guadeloupe and it was fantastic. First and foremost, the staff is very friendly, caring and helpful. We were arriving very late at night and they made sure that everything was very well setup for us. The location is great. There are quite a lot of beaches within 10 minutes drive, a couple are less than five minutes. Beware, all these beaches have some great waves. If you don't like that it may be something to think about. But the beaches feel very exclusive and are stunning. The view from the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. We had no mosquito issues in the room which was very nice. They didn't manage to sneak in. The rooms are spacious and they all have a terrace with a kitchen. This is great in the evenings when you want to try your culinary skills with local ingredients."

No beach access but you can see the ocean and it is stunning!! Highly suggest renting a car, you can park on the grounds & there are a number of dining options in the area. The staff will help you set up reservations. The only drawback is our TV did not work and the Wi-Fi is a little wonky. We did stay in the first floor, which was next to the kitchen but really no problem. Located conveniently between St. Anne & St. François. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay 💜"

- "Top emplacement " - "Wonderfull" - "The stay was great and the majority of the staff were very welcoming however one member at reception refused to give us beach towels to use the facilities the day of checking out. Note: We were not notified that towels would not be replaced once you give them back to the reception otherwise we would have keep them until our last day to enjoy the pool and give them back upon leaving the hotel. it would have been fair to either notify us or give us towels given that we were not informed of this by anyone. Majority of hotels would have given a towel replacement to use the facilities and the 3 stars rating for staff and service is due to this specific incident other than that everyone have been nice and welcoming to us. On a positive note - the restaurant staff were amazing! "

- "The hotel is very well situated for a visit to what is my favorite area of Guadeloupe. Wonderful beaches and excellent food are plentiful in Deshaies. Rooms are comfortable and very spacious, situated in a tropical garden. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful to this lone traveler who speaks just a bit of French. The breakfast buffet--included in the room rate--is a very nice plus. I hope to return!" - "Cariab Bay is a comfortable place with Duplex style houses surrounded by lush foliage across several winding paths. The breakfast is very good, European style, with croissants, coffee, yogurt, cheese, and fresh fruit. Catherine and Christophe are warm and inviting people, and their staff is friendly. French is mainly spoken but they'll accommodate your English with gaps in interpretation. The beds are mostly singles, with double or full consisting of two singles pushed together. The shower was nice and hot from solar heating. The facility is eco friendly. There us a restaurant just across the road, since they don't provide dinner or lunch. The pool is unheated, and can be icy cold. My friend and I gave it a go, and felt slightly numbed by the experience. The internet only functions while near their offices in the veranda. The best fact if the hotel is it's great proximity to Gran Anse beach, and a quick drive to Deshaies where you'll find most if the restaurants. "

You walk through the smallish swimming pool, through a gate to the beach - albeit not swimmable. But walk 50 yards to the right and you are on the Club Med beach (which is public), and is a gorgeous beach. You can rent chairs for a day from Club Med for E10 or just spread your towel. There is an ok beach bar there. Instead of turning right from the hotel, if you turn left you can walk about 1 km along the ocean front to reach the St. Anne public beach. Another plus for this location, you are about a 5 minute walk to one of the nicer restaurants in St. Anne, Kote Sud. Highly recommended, reservations are a must. Otherwise, you probably have to walk into town for other restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is also ok. They can call a taxi for you if you wish to go elsewhere. Taxis are expensive. Taxi fare from airport was E60. Rooms themselves are basic, just what you might expect for a 2 star hotel, but they were clean. Staff was very friendly but only a few could communicate in English. Generally the same everywhere in Guadaloupe. If you go, it's helpful if you have command of a few basic phrases in French. "
