Thank you for taking your time to take a look at our villa. It is part of the Cedar Reef Villas and the unit number is D102 - Oceanfront - 2 minute walk across the boardwalk to the beach - only dunes between the villa and the beach.

We completely renovated this unit in 2014 and just completed another remodel in January 2022. The bedroom now has a king size bed and new furniture throughout the villa. We provide our guests with Luxury Pure Egyptian Cotton Sheets, Luxury Egyptian Cotton White Towels, His and Her bathrobes and lots of little necessity items that make your stay comfortable.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, utensils, dish washer soap, kitchen towels, waffle maker, toaster, pots and pans, griddle pan, crock pot, blender, Keurig coffee maker and regular coffee maker, a pantry with organic coconut oil and other oils as well as salt, pepper and other spices. We also provide sugar and sweetener.

Our condo is one of only two units features a double wide balcony - one extra large outdoor living room, as we call it. You can enjoy beach living to the fullest.

We also added ceiling fans in living room and bedroom which are not standard in Cedar Reef Villas.

We also provide beach towels and beach chairs.

Cable TV and Free Wifi high speed internet are also provided for you to enjoy.

A nice touch is our TV stand which is an electrical fire place to give you a comfy / cozy feel when there is a cold day or you can use it without the heat. The villa has heat and air conditioning throughout.

Please note, that the condo only sleeps 2 people and the maximum occupancy is 2 per our policy. We do not have additional sleeping arrangements in our place.

As much as we all love our fur babies but unfortunately at the Cedar Reef Villas, renters are not allowed to bring their pets. Therefore we have a "no pet policy".

As a short term rental host we are legally allowed to use various surveillance devices to protect our property on the outside. There are 2 cameras installed at the villa. One is located at the front door of the property and one is installed at the backside / balcony of the property. Harbor Island is a private island with 24/7 security in place and a very safe place to be. Those 2 cameras protect our guests and ensure policies are followed.

- "This beach front villa condo really made our vacation perfect. Light seashore colors, tastefully artistic, but not excessively decorated. The kitchen offered all utensils and cook/bakeware we needed. Very clean and well-cared for. We observed the no lights shining after dark- (for the turtles) And also participated in one of the sunrise excursions with the Harbor Island Turtle program and got to witness a baby loggerhead making its first trip out to sea! I loved browsing thru the nice selection of Coastal Living and Veranda magazines while relaxing on the balcony with the amazing views of the Carolina coastal plant life, well-placed boardwalks and tbe ocean. As described, this being an end unit, the side windows brought uplifting light and gorgeous palm trees as a backdrop to the dining and living room. The pools, Turtle's Nest gift shop and lunch offerings were terrific, and the local residents were very welcoming and hospitable (which isnt always the case when you are a summer renter in other resort communities). Oceanfront and beautifully renovated, this lovely condominium features the bedroom on the ocean side and is one of a very few on Harbor Island with one enormous deck stretching across the full width of the condominium, ideal for enjoying the view and sea breeze. The living area and the bedroom offer separate entries to the deck, but the deck itself serves as one big continuous porch offering two new (2018) POLYWOOD® Adirondack chairs and love seat, a new POLYWOOD® table with 4 PVC chairs, and a PVC lounge. This pristine condominium is conveniently located on the first floor with direct access to the beach. You can sit on the porch and listen to the waves gently crash against the shore as you watch the shrimp boats go by.

This condominium is ideal for a single or a couple, but can easily accommodate a family of 4. It has charming accessories and quality you need is here, but it is NOT overly crowded with either furnishings or decorative items. You will have plenty of room. Decorated throughout in a relaxing color palette, the soft coastal tones of aqua and sandy beige are punctuated with watery blues and bright whites creating a tranquil space filled with light from the two sets of sliding doors.
The bedroom features a king-sized bed your comfort, and offers a full en suite bath. The bedroom has direct access to the porch and a lovely view across the dunes to the ocean. We had family camping at Hunting island so wanted a place nearby. 5minutes! loved having a park pass included for a day at the state park. One day our family came to hang with us and take a beach break pool hopping. Susan was a great host! answered questions quickly, including letting property know about a broken step leading to beach. It was fixed by the next morning. This was our couldn't believe there were 105 turtle nests on the island! Missed watching any hatch though. first trip to this area but Will definitely be back!"

Welcome to villa M318 on Harbor Island. This 2 bedroom 2 bath corner villa provides an open floor plan that is bright and spacious. Located on the third floor, so there are some stairs to get in. All new interior paint enliven this great villa with expansive ocean views. The corner location provides more windows, more light, more privacy and panoramic views. The spacious living area features a sofa and love seat, armless side chair with side tables, cable TV with DVD player, 42' flat screen, and stereo radio/CD player.
It opens onto a deck with fabulous ocean and pool views. This is a very light and bright villa, with numerous large windows inviting the sun and views, including a direct ocean view from the living/dining area. A wireless high speed Internet connection means you can sit on your deck and watch the shrimp boats go by.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and tableware, full refrigerator and stove, microwave, new dishwasher and new cabinets. There is a full washer and dryer in the kitchen for your convenience. The dining area provides seating for 6 with additional seating at the counter.

Wrapped by the Harbor River, Saint Helena Sound, the Atlantic Ocean, and Johnson’s Creek, the vistas are always changing.

Designated an Audubon Important Bird Area, Harbor Island is home and host to a myriad of bird life including nesting egrets in the lagoon areas where you can sometimes glimpse a gator. Fishing is allowed from the beach, and the Island has a crabbing dock. Right across the Harbor River Bridge, Gay Seafood brings in fresh fish and shrimp. If you’d rather have the cooking done for you, The Shrimp Shack is just across the street from Gay’s. A long local tradition, it serves up mainly fried fresh seafood and simple fare available for takeout or to eat there on the picnic tables.

- "This two bedroom, two full bath condo is next to heaven. The layout is thoughtful and has plenty of space for privacy. I loved that it had a small washer/dryer in the unit and the kitchen was well stocked. This condo is on the 3rd floor so you will get your steps for the week which was fine for us. I recommend getting your groceries delivered from Publix! Couches were new, the beds were comfortable, and the porch was wonderful to watch the sunrise and dolphins in the morning! - "If you're looking for a peaceful relaxing getaway, this is the place for you! When you first walk in, the view greets you, just like the photos show. There is a boardwalk along the deck that connects to the longer boardwalk that takes you to the beach. Your feet don't have to get sandy if you don't want them too! The property has great storage, the kitchen and two bathrooms are new and beautiful. The bed is comfortable. And the kitchen has everything you need. It's gray to have the washer and dryer handy, and the coffee pot allows you to choose individual cups or full pots. We enjoyed the Park Pass that was included, and also drove down the road a bit past the park to watch the sunset at the Marsh Boardwalk, though sunrise and sunset are beautiful from the condo as well! We also thoroughly enjoyed the walk at Cypress Wetlands. So many beautiful birds! The entire property is quiet and calm. There is a gated entrance and a guard that greets you every time. You could hear upstairs neighbors walking around some, but it didn't bother us. We took one day to travel into Charleston (2 hour drive) and enjoyed a horse carriage history tour, which was fantastic! Being from a big city, we were more interested in a quiet stay with a great view, and this was just what we needed. Thank you!"

- "We stayed in this Harbor Island condo October 22nd-25th. The property was just as described (better), and the location was perfect for my wife and me. Condo was very tastefully decorated and we had all of the amenities that we needed. So nice not to have to carry linens/towels. Weather while there was pretty incredible, and we spent all of our time outdoors either on the beach, on the Harbor River strand, or exploring Hunting Island beach and park. At night the natural darkness allows you to see the Milky Way (something I used to take for granted). Got to know the owner of the new store at the Beach and Racquet Club (pools) and ended up watching one sunset from the terrace there. Dozens and dozens of birds roosting - the most impressive were the wood storks, which are actually a protected species. So good to see their strong comeback on HI. Overall, lots of wildlife (inc. bald eagles), and we've never seen so many dolphins. Both on HI and on pier at Hunting Island State Park. We tend to eat "lite" for breakfast and lunch, and then enjoy an early supper. This trip we ate twice at Johnson Creek Tavern (one takeout and once in bar). Both meals very good. Also ate dinner at The Fish Camp in Port Royal. Excellent atmosphere, views, and food. Lunch on the way down at Plums in Beaufort. It is always consistent from our experience. Again, we are outside people, and averaged walking 8-12 miles per day. So for us, HI provided the ideal getaway spot. We have already talked about a return trip in the fall. One last note, communications with both the owner Martha and property manager Jennifer were extremely professional and prompt, and that made the experience even more seamless. Thanks to both of you."

The space
Ideal for couples and small getaways with old friends (sleeps 5), our condo is newly remodeled and arranged to make the most of the incredible ocean and marsh views. Even better in person, the nature-rich scene from the condo shimmers like a watercolor painting with verdant wetlands that stretch to the sea.

BED + BATH

Bedrooms include a king-size master suite and a guest suite with three twin beds (one is a trundle). Both are on the second level and have flat-screen TVs, ceiling fans, and their own attached, private bathrooms.

Each bath has been recently remodeled and fitted with new hardware. The master bath features a walk-in shower with bench seating and pebble floors for a spa-like experience.

LIVING + DINING

Sky-blue walls and earth-toned sofas and chaise loungers in the open living area lead to sliding glass doors out to the balcony—a lovely place to take in the endless views in the salty breeze. Sit at the four-person table on the balcony with your sunrise coffee or sunset wine.

Back inside, sea turtle art and other accents pay homage to our resident loggerheads, and are the origin of how we adopted the name "Turtle Villa". The living area coffee table unfolds to a game table for cards or boardgames after the beach.

The kitchen is freshly remodeled and well-stocked for cooking, with granite counters and new stainless appliances, including a dishwasher. Take in the view while you cook!

The decor was excellent and the host provided everything we needed to make the trip enjoyable. Harbor Island is a quiet location, but the pass to Hunting Island is what makes this location. We went there every day. We would absolutely return. The only recommendations for the property are 1) more hooks are needed to hang up towels and bathing suits and 2) the television system was difficult to use and we lost signal frequently. 5 stars for sure."

We had a few maintenance issues and property manager was pleasant and on top of things. Only drawback is lots of stairs. I have mobility issues plus we had a toddler. Due to that, outside stairs plus inside stairs was challenging for me. View from condo over marsh was beautiful and one of the best parts! We love Hunting Island Beach next door and appreciated the permit use. Make sure you go over there. Don't love Harbor Beach as it isn't a good shelling beach and sand is very wavy at low tide. If you can do the walking this is an awesome place for a beach vacation. I would highly recommend. If you can't do stairs and lots of walking this 2nd floor location is not for you."

The first floor of the condo is one large area. You first walk into the kitchen which is on the smaller size but plenty large enough for morning pancakes and bacon and evening shrimp boils. The next area is the dining space which has a table for 6. The next area is the living room with seating for 6 and a coffee table made for game night. The balcony is accessed from the living area. There is also a powder room on this level. Both bedrooms are upstairs. There are also wood steps getting into the condo. Please look at exterior photos. If you have an issue with stairs, I'm sorry but Looney Dunes isn't for you :(

- "We just wanted a place to get together that was close to the beach and this was perfect! The home was comfortable and had the necessary things. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to come again. Local restaurants were also enjoyable!" - "Great location on the property! Very well stocked with kitchen supplies and with towels. Beds were very comfortable. My only complaint was that the front door lock was tricky to say the least. Within first 10 mins of unloading the car, the door unexpectedly shut and locked us out. After calming my kids (and myself, let’s be honest) down, the issue was resolved in about 30-45 mins. But the lesson was learned- always keep the key in the lockbox. Sometimes you would think the lock wasn’t engaged, but it really was and vice versa. It was a rough start to an otherwise relaxing and very enjoyable stay."

The Johnsons(hosts) response was always quick and easy to work with. I do recommend that renters bring an Amazon or roku stick because the TVs in each room and living room are not smart tvs. They do have cable and DVD players as well as a selection of DVDs there. Hunting island beaches were the best and a great option close by to enjoy a traditional beach with waves. The area in front of condo is nice but does not offer waves, The water there is fairly calm. Olympic sized pool was well maintained. For those who want to bring a boat, for a small fee there is a designated parking lot."

Located in the Cedar Reef Condominium complex on Harbor Island SC with an unobstructed, first floor, marsh view overlooking Hunting Island State Park and a bit of the Atlantic. This is the first year our 1 bedroom one, 1 1/2 bath unit has been on the rental market since a major renovation. Marshside is our 2nd home and we have furnished the unit with most everything you need for your stay. Our goal is always relaxation and comfort.

Our south facing porch is sunny in the winter and provides plenty of shade in the summer. The building is one of only three which face the tidal marsh instead of other condos. Step out of the private gate, down a half dozen stairs and walk one hundred steps to a beach access.

​​​​​​​Our Marshside condo is only a short walk to all the amenities Harbor Island is known for. We provide our guests with a complimentary day pass to Hunting Island State Park including its beaches, nature center, pier and hiking trails. Harbor Island is listed by the National Audubon Society as an important area for birds.

We provide high speed internet, two Smart TVs with cable. All windows and the marsh side door have plantation shutters that provide as much privacy as you want. The bedroom has a very comfortable new queen bed, dresser, and bedside tables. The master bath has a large tile walk in shower and the kitchen is equipped with granite counters, a washer/dryer and new appliances.

The Harbor Island pool is open from April 1 - November 1.
