Come enjoy some peace and quiet in this private, simple (yet comfortable) cottage located under the Oak trees of Johns Island. 20 minutes from Downtown Charleston, Folly Beach, and Kiawah. Enjoy a fire in the fire pit, heat up the grill for some fresh seafood or take a hot shower under the stars! (Just to be clear, there is also a very nice interior shower!)
The Sleepy Shack is private, comfortable, and clean! The studio apartment is ideal for two tenants. Three can easily fit in this 500 square foot cabin if one person doesn't mind the sleeping on the couch.
The rear porch is private and guests have their own separate outdoor area with a fire bowl and grill.
The Sleepy Shack is within walking distance to Low Tide Brewery and a very close drive to other various dining options. Catch a movie at the Terrace Theater or enjoy some live music at The Pour House (within 5 miles).
Come explore Johns Island - The Vineyard, Sweet Water Distillery, the Tea Plantation, Angel Oak, the Johns Island Farmers Market. You will enjoy an entire 1 bed 1 bath guesthouse above our attached garage. You have a separate private entrance and separate parking.
The guesthouse is accessed from an entrance at the rear of the garage. Make your way up the stairs and you are greeted by a bench made from a salvaged cotton mill flooring board from North Carolina. This main room has a sofa, live edge table for setting up an impromptu office, smart TV, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and coffee table. Adjacent to the living room is the full bathroom and bedroom both behind their own doors.
You will have full access to the guest house above the garage with a private entrance. We do not share this space with the main house. Think of this as similar to a town home or condo.
We are in 'the sticks' as some would say. You will travel on a dirt road and gravel driveway to get here. We're sorry if you just washed your car!
We are located in Charleston, SC - there are mosquitos, gnats, palmetto bugs, etc. We do employ regular pest control on this property.
The security camera listed in the details is mounted on the exterior of the garage pointed down the entry driveway.
We have two friendly dogs that you may see during your stay. They only know how to love so don't be afraid to give them a pet. Please do be careful when coming and going in your car.

A note about well water & heated pool expectations:
Our water comes from a well and is treated with an advanced Evolve water purification system. It's clean, safe for drinking, showering, and daily use, and free from typical well water odors as much as possible. We regularly test it to ensure its quality.
However, if you're very sensitive to well water or find its hardness bothersome, this may not be the right place for you. For pure drinking and cooking water, there is a separate faucet with reverse osmosis filtration.
*Pool Policy: The pool heater functions efficiently only when nighttime temperatures remain above 50°F. Heating is generally available from mid-April through September; however, pool heat cannot be guaranteed during periods of unusually cold weather.*

The single bedroom features a KING memory foam mattress and quality bed linens to get a great night’s rest! There is also a HD digital antenna in the living room with all the network channels ready to go. The living room has a futon that can be utilized for an additional bed if needed and the dinette set is a great spot for meals or can be used as work space if working from home! In the bathroom we supply extra plush towels and luxury Gilchrist & Soames brand soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you will need to cook your favorite meals. We also supply a Keurig coffee maker and a few assorted pods. The large back deck has an additional table and chairs and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! There is also a stacked washer dryer unit in the bedroom for your convenience.

- "The Eden Farm Ranch on Johns Island was by far one of the best places we have stayed. It was the perfect getaway to relax. We enjoyed feeding carrots to the horses and being introduced to all the other animals. Such a peaceful place to stay.Our hosts Denise and Tanya were the best hosts. The fridge and pantries were stocked with everything you could possibly need: fresh eggs from the chickens, fresh tomatoes from the garden to name just a few items. This was a place I would definitely recommend and return to."

Everything was so nice. This is a beautiful area. There is A LOT of construction going on near the bungalows, but we were not bothered by this. The bungalows are the back of the subdivision tucked away from everything. This unit has wonderful water views. Guest have full free access to the community dock, hot tub and two pools. There's also a gym on site that we did not visit."

Parking was easy. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had all the things you need to make a meal. AC worked well to keep the place cool. The outside was too hot to enjoy, but tastefully decorated. The Dunlin is a 1min walk and they have coffee, full restaurant, and latte night drinks, so you don't have to drive out 10min for the next closest restaurant."

Spectacular Marsh and creekside Treehouse nestled among historic Grand Oaks. Private House. Lots of wildlife. Large deck with chairs and loungers to relax the day away or 20 short minutes to Downtown Charleston shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

The accommodations and view from The Treehouse are so fabulous, that we had to talk ourselves into leaving each day. We ate our meals outside on the deck where we could watch the tides and the wildlife in the marsh, listening to the breeze blow through the trees. It was heavenly. The lovely furnishing and supplies in the house made us feel like we were staying in a luxury resort. Communications with Karen were easy and very helpful. “The Bluebird” (3049 Southerly Way) EV Charger! Come relax by the river in a waterfront bungalow located on the stunning Kiawah River. Walking distance to the Dunlin Hotel, the Bungalows are a limited collection of furnished boathouses nestled along a quiet creek off the Kiawah River. The spirit of the Bungalows is all about carefree romantic getaways or the ideal jumping off point for authentic Lowcountry adventures from this picturesque riverfront village.
The Bluebird offers a small kitchenette, Keurig style coffee maker, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, stand-alone ice maker, mini fridge, king bed and walk-in shower with tub. Washer/Dryer is provided. There are 16 steps to enter the 2nd floor property. There is an outdoor shower under the bungalow in the garage. The outdoor porch is a perfect place to take in breathtaking coastal views.
Construction: There are nearby homes under construction. Some construction noise can be heard from the home during working hours. Monday-Friday 7-7. Saturday 8-5. The price reflects this and will increase upon completion.

You're just a 5-minute drive to Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, and Freshfields Village, and only 25 minutes from historic downtown Charleston. - "We were looking to get out of the heat but didn’t go far enough north but this cute, one bedroom with a comfy balcony was perfect for morning coffee and evening wine along with the breezes. Having a pool down the sidewalk was a lifesaver. Youlonda and Jeff were so kind to help us unload when we got there and kept us informed of the interesting things to see and do around the area. The Low Tide Brewery and the wild Olive were within biking distance by the back roads so we didn’t have to drive or ride the busy streets. We would highly recommend this cozy, comfortable space."

Enjoy the city, while staying in the country. This new cottage is spacious, the setting serene; you'll have plenty of room to roam. We are entirely handicap friendly. There is a great porch for rocking and viewing the birds, The pond is right there and loaded with fish.
If you prefer, you can walk down the dock to chill on the creek or go kayaking, crabbing or swimming.
Le Cottage has an open floor plan. With a giant kitchen, there is plenty of space for cooking, preparing, grazing or just hanging out. The living room, which is connected, has a gas fireplace and a big screen TV. The sofa is a queen size pullout! There is also, a big picture window to take in nature, the pond and all it has to offer.
The master bedroom also has a big TV, an attached bathroom and a door to outside. It has a king size bed. There is a handicap friendly shower and toilet area. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a bathroom very near to it. There is also storage and just a cozy atmosphere.
Outside there is a great porch for hanging out on. You have a great view of the pond and a field of palm trees. Further down the driveway you can walk up to the dock. It’s a nice long walk but well worth it. Go in the other direction there are loads of places to walk on dirt roads and paved. If it’s biking you like, there’s about 20 miles of paved road that is beautiful. We do have bikes for you to use. Our home is on another part of the property! Come say hi, to us. If you have a furry visitor, that would be Lucy{Black} or Maggie May {tan}.
- "Very interesting/unique property, a bit of a challenge to find in the dark but well worth it. Particularly liked the bathrooms and kitchen. Everything was clean and well kept. The frogs were quite loud at night, so it's perfect if you like sleeping to the sound of frogs. If not, ear plugs work. Overall, great property." - "We enjoyed our stay! The kids loved the fishing"

- "Great Stay!" - "The property lists and shows a beautiful pool. It was assumed that this was included. Not the case they charge 50/day/person. 100 for me and my daughter to sit by a pool that was not heated and was freezing cold. You had to pay extra for towels as well. The house was nice but there was only a thin sheet and no blanket so we literally froze the first night. The property staff did drop a blanket off for the second night. There were only a 3 towels in the home and nobody came to deliver more so we had to reuse. I won’t ever be returning. "
