This cottage sleeps 8, and is perfect for a long or short stay. As our guest, you have full access to the pool, fenced in yard, and 2 parking spots. With a full kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom and additional outdoor shower, you should have everything you need! There is one main queen bed downstairs, along with the kitchen, living area, washer/dryer and bathroom/shower. Upstairs there are two matching lofts, both with removable ladders, that have a queen bed and twin bed on each side. (Note that the lofts are accessed by ladders if mobility is an issue). The poolhouse is dog friendly and is completely fenced in. The pool and outdoor shower are all yours, and beach towels are also provided. There are two sofas in the living area that encompass a wall mounted TV. The bathroom has solid marble tile floors and bead board siding. It has a newly renovated kitchen outfitted with the essentials; stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, plates, cups, utensils, coffee maker, pots & pans, toaster and blender. Washer, Dryer, Iron, Ironing Board, and Blow Dryer provided. Two beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs and a small cooler are also available for use.
The other side of the duplex is a vacation rental as well. Each has its own front door PRIVATE entrance with a screened-in porch. They also both have their own PRIVATE, fenced in back yard, with back door entry.

Our home is conveniently located less than a mile from Shem Creek. We could write a small book on all that Shem Creek and the local area has to offer. We have two boys, a Giant Schnauzer, and we love going out to eat and sampling some of the world class restaurants the Charleston area has to offer. We love sharing what we have discovered, just ask! We moved here years ago and still feel like we are on vacation. Our favorite way to explore the area is on bikes, so we wanted to share that with our guests. Sullivan's island and downtown Charleston are both roughly 6 miles in opposite directions on the same road with bike paths the whole way to each. Depending on how adventurous you are, you can head out the front door and be on the beach, or enjoying all that downtown Charleston has to offer without ever getting in your car. There are also water taxis downtown from Patriots Point if you do not want to ride the bridge. Again, just ask, we have information on all of that.
Within an 8 minute walk out the front door there is a Starbucks and a host of great places to eat, shop, or grab a drink.

- "The home is just as advertised. The hostess, Sallie, was available and responded promptly to a few questions that I had as we arrived. The home is stocked well with plenty of items, such as paper towels, dish soap, toilet paper, trash bags, salt and pepper, and sugar.. to name a few. Plenty of pots and pans and utensils as well. But the best part is the location. The neighborhood was safe and quiet and yet close enough to restaurants and shops. And only 15 min from downtown Charleston. A very easy drive back and forth to Charleston as well. The home fit a family of four well enough and it was very comfortable. Beds were clean and soft. If I had to nitpick, I will add that the mosquitos are terrible in that area (bring bug spray if you plan to sit outside). And the washer/dryer is one unit and not the most efficient. With that said, we would absolutely stay again. Great hostess and great experience overall."

- "We could not have had a more perfect vacation spot. The neighborhood is quaint, quiet, and on a lovely oak canopy street. You are 15 minutes from Isle Of Palms, Sullivan's Island, and downtown Charleston. You are 5 minutes from Shem Creek. Everything you need is within three blocks, Publix and the best restaurants. We ate at Home Team Bar B Q, The Mustard Seed, The Boathouse, and had ice cream at Ye Old Town Cafe. Each of these places was fabulous! The property is spotless, even in hard-to-see places, which is only sometimes the case. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and we rested the entire stay wonderfully. There are also two beach chairs and a beach bag, which we didn't use on the trip. The place was stocked with the basics for our week's stay. Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, plenty of K-cups for the Keurig, an assortment of tea, salt and pepper, and other spices. The communication from Brandon and Jess was impeccable, from the inquiry of the property through the stay to our departure. This will be our first inquiry if we are ever back in the area."
